vienne56:You think it is everybody who passed maths at school? It might seem like simple arithmetic to you, but not to some. |
. |
kaysy:Conspiracy theory is always interesting. But it remains theory. You do not seem to understand the mentality of average 9ja politicians. They are not there to behave civilized and co-operate in public interest. Any Veneer of sham co-operation vanishes when power dangles before their eyes. In APC states, the power structure are already established. The governor if he has already served 8 years will most certainly pick his successor or heavily influence the decision. So there is less wiggle room for new entrants. Same applies if PDP candidates are vying for an APC state governorship. When a party is not in charge of a state, senators & honourables in NASS, FG, state party chairman and local godfathers all influence party power structure at state level. And all these power centres fancy having their candidate get the nod. You would have thought Fayemi with 4 years experience as gov there would have been backed by most to potentially serve another 4 years. Then let another person have a shot at it. At least if they thought he was very bad as a governor, they won't make him a minister. But lack of co-operation makes it impossible as each person wants the position. News from the primaries filtered through that an ex-governor realized that he was losing the vote and decided to scuttle it all. Only God knows. |
Lordave:Not everyday food. You can give it a twist and add peas before frying it. |
Nice Snack,! Nice with chilli sauce, salad sauce or even natural yoghurt. |
tolustwart:Tor! People do not know that the border officer has all the embassy interview and application details at their fingertip. Visa is no guarantee. |
People sabi exaggerate sha. I have seen prettier Lacasera sellers. |
Very sad. RIP. |
Pathetic. Thy cannot even run a primary. ![]() And they tell us they are running the country. No wonder blaming Jonathan is the only job. |
ShyCypher:Most organs for transplant must be harvested as soon as donor dies. Or the organs deteriorate too. Where the body has been embalmed or frozen, organs cannot be taken anymore for transplant. Certainly not during autopsy. tissue for for further investigation or specimen for educational purposes (with consent of the deceased family of course) might be retained. Also bear in mind that even if an organ is available or harvested quickly after death doesn't mean it is useful. There has to be a patient in need whose tissue type compatibility (HLA) matches the deceased's closely enough. |
Of course sir. That is why you have declined salary and perks, left Aso Rock to live in a small govt house, did not make yourself petroleum Minister, declared cost and source of money for your UK treatment, your son doesn't do any frivolous bike buying, etc. We all know how selfless you are sir. |
kaysy:Because it appears it is a free position that can last 8 years should the candidate win. That means in charge of state party structure: from choosing Minister for FEC, influencing who go to NASS, etc. Not to mention controlling state money for potentially 8 years, though Ekiti seems to be 4 years. Yes, the reward is potentially huge. |
opyzy:Well only few people like GEJ enter high politics in 9ja. It is for brutes & thugs. Any gentle person in politics is called "clueless". Most Nigerian politicians have their hands and clothes dripping with blood. Either post or pre-election. |
thatigboman:Yep! Information & Communication joint brief. |
thatigboman:Read well first. He meant those that came after Ribadu & Dora were useless. OBJ appointed Dora & Ribadu. Yar'Adua made Dora Communications Minister, a post not all suited to her strengths. She was a scientist/Pharmacist doing a great job & NAFDAC. |
Dollyak:This is due to Uthman dan Fodio whose descendants or followers became Emirs across the North except Shehu of Borno. They are therefore the aristocracy & rulers of the North. And the North rules 9ja. Only some like IBB & Abacha managed to sneak in via coups. El-Rufai, Atiku, Kwankwaso, Dakwambo and legions of them are all Fulanis. In effect Nigeria is Uthman dan Fodio's conquered territory just like Ahmadu Bello openly said often when alive. Some of his video clips saying so are freely available online. |
Does not seem like 9ja. 9ja teacher nor go lenient like that. |
Such an important topic doesn't reach FP. Mention Bobrisky, Daddyfreeze, BBN. Cee-cee and FP in o time. |
Acidosis:Exactly. Marriage is not like those Telemundo films where Raimundo fights with Miguel over Dolores' love. ![]() You'll only set yourself up for serious pain in the near future. It is the woman who chooses. In 9ja often the one with deep pocket is chosen. Though she might cheat with the one she truly loves or offers the sweeter koboko. ![]() @ OP, If a girl you're with cheats and promises to stop only when caught, believe her at your own peril. Unless you can be sure the reasons she cheated before do not exist anymore. Such as both of you living in different cities or countries but now live together. Even that is not guaranteed as others reasons may be involved that she didn't tell you. If she cheated with multiple guys at the same time, then just move on. She probably enjoys the thrill of doing it. Thrill can become addictive and she'd probably return to it when bored or issues arise in your marriage. If she does it for the money, same problem. At some point in life, money could be tight. Especially when kids are still young, elderly parents/grand parents and siblings to assist one way or another. She might resort to her old ways for money. If a lover displays attitudes and character you cannot accept in marriage, better walk. DO NOT bank on people changing because of marriage. They might just make a lot more effort to disguise or conceal it. ONLY very few can truly change. Mostly when it is in their own interest only. |
RIP. |
PS712:I wonder o. Nobody knew the Hell-Fire Midget in his ward until PDP made him. Was even a minister in PDP govt. In serious countries nobody would mind him. |
Burgerlomo:Don't you think arresting them within 9ja soonest is easiest? Not to mention possible extradition issues depending on country. If they make it to Brazil they might never be extradited even if found there. |
A key factor is environment. For example debt. If you borrow heavily at 25% interest and invest in a place without electricity or enabling environment, the chances of success are already low. But if borrow at 4.9% and invest in a place with basic amenities, your chances are better. As for investment, we usually hear the success stories. Hundreds of thousands of businesses fail yearly. If you have ever invested in 9ja you will have a good idea what I mean. |
After how long? Which halfway smart person will remain in 9ja till now? |
ClixMaster:Or most will come up with nonsense "broke guys" misyarn. As if they have never heard of Opra Winfrey and her billions of dollars. |
kingjoe:Very true. These questions would also not be out of place in Sociology, Dramatic Arts and such exams. In 9ja people tend to rely on books published 1925 as true test of knowledge. With plenty of grandiloquent terms. Whereas the world has since moved on. Authors of those books would not even recognise the world today if they could do a "Lazarus". In STEM/Healthcare courses, students in Western societies rely on new journal publications, some as recent as published same day for their learning. These English Language students could end up as Showbizz reporters covering popular culture. You learn to tackle or address the issues of the day, not those in books since decades, be it in language, health, society, finance, economy, culture, crime, etc |
goldenceo1:Nor mind dem jor! Ndi Bad Belleans. ![]() |
BluntBoy:Yayaha Bello has a hand in it. The fraudulent recall shows it. We know Yahaya is Bubu's pussycat. Doing all he can to curry his favour. Did he not even declare public holiday to celebrate Buhari's neglect of duty (return from 3 months medical treatment in UK)?? In summary, it all boils down to Dino's perceived support for Saraki. Not that there's anything that separates any of them. Total mediocre bunch of them. From A to Z. |
engrchykae:Bolded is very interesting. Even the pyramids and other ancient wonders in Egypt, 18th & 19th century Europeans tried all they could to exclude blacks from it. Even today that we know of King Piye of Nubia conquered Egypt and his son Taharqa was a great Phaoraoh of Egypt in the 25th dynasty, with their statues clearly showing black people, with their black princesses, Western Egyptologists still find it hard to admit that black people played a major part in building Egyptian civilization as we know it. However, we're our own worst enemies. If we were serious we would just produce & consume locally first. Why buy Samsung, Injoo, Tecno, and others if local products called Lolade, Amaka, Efe, Danladi can do the same job, only cheaper? If Innoson is promoted to improve, local banks partner with it to give good new durable cars/SUVs to families on hire-purchase for 3 to 6 million Naira, why buy Tokunbor again? Soon, Oyinbo will notice that we depend less on them. They will be forced to give our goods better access to their markets just to get more of their goods into ours. The current way we go abroad and appeal to them (beg really) for help, they will never take us seriously. They are capitalists. Mutual economic benefit is all they care about. They do charity from their excess JUST to look good (another self-interest). |
Fyno:I remember those guys during oil subsidy protest. ![]() Jonathan wanted subsidy looters to chop sand. But bigots did not allow it. No peace for dishonest tribalistic bigots parading themselves as statesmen, intellectuals and activists. ![]() Ntor! |
Hear this: "probably symbolizes their marriage would attract wealth". So if they want their marriage to attract private jet, they should tie toy aeroplane around the necks, abi? ![]() Black man nor go kee person with funny mentality. |
Assuming most Northern youths are uneducated (I have no idea where he got his conclusion from), in his nearly 2 years as military head of State, how many schools did he build in the North? Wouldn't educating people 35 years ago have led to more educated parents likely to have educated teenagers and youth of today? Since 2015 nko? How many schools has he built there? Jonathan that realised there is poor education in the North and built hundreds of schools for almajiris neglected up North, has any of you been honest enough to admit that he did a good job? |
