The drug is prescription drug. If sold in pharmacies it would also be prohibitively expensive for majority of people in 9ja. It cannot be subsidised and given to pharmacies to sell.

However, availability is still not good enough. Considering that treatment needs to start within 72 hours. There should be special sexual health clinics across every town and city. To avoid scam, patients could be asked to come in daily/as required to get each dose.

I had more female friends growing up. I had male friends, and many acquaintances. Most guys were about banter, babes' gist etc. But often gist with girls were more meaningful. Another advantage of being comfortable with girls from an early age is that you learn not to see everything with girls from a "sexual" perspective.

Honestly it's fairly difficult integrating into Western societies. What immigrants interpret as having integrated is actually just feeling at home or comfortable in the adopted country. But still various races lead more or less parallel lives. Having a couple of native friends or going for a drink with a few work colleagues hardly change that. True integration requires a massive change on the part of the immigrant. If you have a strong attachment to African values, you will never really integrate. That is why the earlier you leave Africa, the more you'll integrate into a new country. If you have relocated to different countries within West at different ages, you will even notice that you were able to adjust more easily when you were younger.

Omosalewa moving to London at age of 39 and Ikechukwu moving to Atlanta at age 43 will really never integrate.

Well, Paris is not really representative of France. I guess you've probably mostly been through Paris. Attitudes in the French Riviera: Nice, Cannes, Marseilles, and other southern cities like Perpignan, Avignon, etc are quite different. People are friendlier. You will enjoy short breaks in those areas. Generally you need to understand French attitudes first. They are generally very straight talking. What people from England and other places might find impolite. They feel being unnecessarily friendly/familiar might offend you. Plus the French are very big on formality. Like greeting people properly with the correct title, not just hi or hey.

One important trick is to learn basic French words, phrases, greetings, etc. Walk into a bakery and say " Bonjour Madame, une baguette s'il vous plait". And you will get a very warm reply & service. Even if you do not know much French. Going in and blowing Queen's English right away would immediately appear rude & disrespectful. As in WTF! I'm in my country, not UK or America.

Agreed that extended family issue is difficult as people are saying. But an uncle is not that far at all. In cases involving illness, even people like us without the massive income Mikel has often step in to assist. Even more extended family like dad's or mum's cousins. Even kids of those depending.

Footballers of Mikel's generation left home to Europe relatively early. Around age of 17. Perhaps only ever meeting such relatives a few times ever. Such people are far more European in outlook than African. Mikel also was born & raised in Jos. Again making the concept of kinship with relatives in Igboland & maybe Lagos quite weak.
