thisnaijaguy:The girl has Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS). If she doesn't have the vascular type (that affects blood vessels potentially causing stroke, aortic dissection, etc) she will be fine. It affects about 1 in 5000 people out there with varying severity depending on the type. It is usually caused by an autosomal dominant gene mutation, but some cases are recessive. |
So SW is already artikulating. ![]() |
FemiEddy:I do not know about friend zoning a girl but I hv resisted clear advances from girls right from secondary school. About 75% ended in the girls not even speaking to me anymore. Once they were sure I was not interested, their amorous talks, persistence, sweetness and bringing food turned to hate. The workplace ones were quite horrible. It made working environment a bit toxic. If I do not want a girl no matter what she does, it will not make me date her. Simple. And most women handle rejection very badly. I wonder how much experience you have in friend zoning girls. |
makky555:It's hard to friendzone a girl for a long time. Because she might still be "eating" your money and giving the cookie to others. She will not stay in friendzone without some benefits falling to her. No way. So it is a loose-loose situation for a guy. Also remember that girls will be actively "toasted" regularly by others. So she would certainly like one of her toasters a bit to succumb. If she cannot get her way soon (if she really digs you) she might become your enemy soon or spread rumor about that you are gay. ![]() In any case, even if she fancies you, she would still have a casual bf on the side to meet certain needs: financial, sexual, etc. |
djeezy:Seems surprising, right? Well there has been Aids information overload across the world over some decades now. Many feel informed already. And many in places like African countries are too scared to even want to know about Aids. ![]() |
HeyCorleone:Lol. See how assuming you are. I have spent about 65 to 70% of my life outside 9ja. Moreover English is just one of many Western languages I use. Because I presume you mean writing books in English language. So I am not trying to defend 9ja system in anyway. Just telling you that you're looking at things in a rather myopic way. In places I have lived in, a minister of health does not have to be a medic, a finance minister can be a history graduate and very many senior bankers are lawyers and engineers by training. One prime minister had no university education yet he opened access to university education than any other prime minister in their history. As system that works simply works. It is about attitude, a set of values and desire to improve. I know of technicians who left the West to work in Nigeria. They are leading Nigerians with several degrees in major multi-national companies in 9ja. One is even married to a 9ja girl. He works in 9ja and the girl still lives in the West. My point is still very simple. Having many degrees in literature does not make you a good writer. People are talented in various ways. Some can just refine their skills attending creative writing courses that are everywhere. Knowing simile, syntax or whatever does not mean you can use them to creative a great literary work. Aside specially certified professions: healthcare, engineering, architecture, chartered status in some professions, people with proper a education can learn and excel in many fields. They have transferable skills. Nigeria has failed for other reasons: corruption, tribalism, religious bigotry, turn-by-turn food is ready mentality, etc. Not because a civil engineer works in a bank. Engineers even has a numeracy advantage. And serious companies/Ministries train graduates to the level they want upon employment. |
HeyCorleone:Lol. So you mean those who do not read are more likely to be writers? ![]() I will give you and example of a very young relative who who got her poetry published under the age of 8! She began reading lots of kids' novels very very early. Having a PhD in literature does not mean you are set to write a decent book either. |
HeyCorleone:Well I did science at school. But during the long " vacation" myself and relatives read around 30 to 50 novels. My cousin who is now a US-based architect used to read up 100 novels. We were are science students. One cannot generalise really. Despite the rot in Nigerian education there are versatile individuals out there. By the way there is no record of William Shakespeare having any brilliant education. He did not even go to university. Yet his contemporaries who went through Oxbridge did not do better than him in terms of literary achievement. |
lakeside50:I will have to send someone. But a pic would hv been better to know if worth sending someone to see. Thanks. |
HeyCorleone:Actually doctors and medically inclined people are some of the best writers out there. Achebe got scholarship to study medicine at University College Ibadan. He switched to Literature at UCI, now UI. Chimamanda Adichie even began medical studies. The American Afghan writer, Khaled Hosseini is a doctor. He wrote "The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Suns etc". Brilliant novels and was even invited to the White House by George Bush Jnr. If you are an avid reader you will have read books by the following medical doctors: Anton Chekov, Friedrich Schiller (one of the best German wrirets ever), Francois Rabelais, Arthur Conan-Doyle, Michael Crichton, Oliver Wendell-Holmes, Nawal El-Sadaawi, Robin Cook, and many more. And many who left medical studies half-way became brilliant writers such as John Keats, Oliver Goldsmith, etc. Doctors get close to people, get to know all their secrets: physical, health, sexuality, employment, economic, financial, marital issues and more. Hardly anybody else gets to understand the human condition on daily basis than a doctor. At least as practiced in the West. All these are stuff of good literature. Now in terms of ability, medical candidates typically excel in all subjects: arts/languages, social science, science, maths, etc. Most medical students have As or A stars throughout. I am again referring to the West like France, UK and others that I am familiar with. So why should they not excel as writers? |
Any pic of the said plot area, showing level of development? Thanks. |

fineboynl:That pressing is the "chest pressure" symptom and simply part of sleep paralysis alongside being "awake, fear, immobility, awareness of surrounding, feeling presence of other, breathing diffculty, etc". The most likely reason is that the Rapid Eye Movement (REM) phase of your sleep cycle is disturbed. REM is a deep phase of sleep in which your brain renders your muscles paralyzed. This is so because it is the phase in which you dream. If your muscles were not paralyzed you could act out the dream experience. Like getting up from bed and running and banging into the wall or run into a road with busy traffic! If that REM phase is interrupted abruptly and your brain has not freed the muscles from paralysis, you get that experience of being "pressed". Because when you try getting up, you cannot. It would feel as though some forces overpower you, holding you down. Well, the only force at play is your brain! My deduction from simple anatomy/physiology is that most likely your breathing muscles also undergo a slight paralysis but good enough to enable you breath while asleep. But a rapid need to breath faster in that state of fear causes that feeling of dread when you cannot breath as fast as you would like. I stand to be corrected. |
Chai! That man has some explaining to do. ![]() But as a sharp man he will simply rubbish the armed robber's version. ![]() |
Good. But girls should also be taught not to hit first. Not everybody can control themselves when physically hit first. |
Purebeerry:From experience it is luck. As a guy who wants kids, just ensure her womb is intact. Forget love matter. When push comes to shove the so-called love will not hold water We are human beings with a need to procreate. If I had rushed into it like this guy, sorry would have been my enemy's name in one case. But what do I know? HML. |
Mypeople2: ![]() Very subjective my brother. Duration, size, pre-intimacy, frequency, technique, energy? Who knows? Funny thing is that many of those girls complaining of poor sex might actually be very bad in bed themselves! ![]() Whether man or woman only interested in own sexual satisfaction would likely be bad in bed. Yet selfishness is very common in sex. Each focusing on own climaxing quite often. Imagine a woman wants satisfaction but finds a certain angle too exhausting or uncomfortable or a certain act against her "religious" belief. Then she later complains in an agony aunt section in a newspaper column. A lady with a very wide and loose below would prefer to blame a guy as having a small instrument. But has she ever wondered how her size compares to that of another woman out there? Another will complain that her man's big instrument causes her pain, abeg penile reduction surgery en vogue too? But at least that Njamaze babe is honest. Telling us what we already know. Most women like d.ick pass anything. Yet they want guys to pay for it. Whether as a boyfriend, customer or whatever. |
For his cows in Daura I guess. |
hatchy:Correction:most states are NOT viable. Even many seemingly rich (high FA and IGR) are up to their neck in debt. Those debt that last 25 years to pay off. And each governor keeps borrowing more. Now ask me reasons for splitting old Ondo, Bendel, Kano, Kwara, Gongola and other states. Governors & cabinet with legions of SA & SSAs, SHoA with a bloated civil service gulp 70 to 80& of state budget. So the excuse of bringing governance closer to the people by creating states anyhow is very lame. Imagine somebody's grandad living on 1000 Naira pension. |
mercyp001:Na GEJ cause am. When APC member cannot get an erection, na GEJ still cause am. ![]() Chai. na wa o. APC just turn to clown party ![]() Aggrieved Party of Clowns. |
Buhari's Blamonomics......steady since 1983. Of course just like terrorist herdsmen, the stakeholders hoarding fuel are from Chad & Mauritania. ![]() Tinubu/Oando are not part of Nigerian stakeholders, bah? |
Whether it's playing lottery/betting, watching porn, drinking alcohol, smoking or consuming anything, moderation is key. If you're are addictive personality, better avoid things you cannot control. |
Lol. I see watching porn as a punishment. It will just get you high for nothing, so why punish yourself that way? Maybe some NLers with a few years on their back can relate. Way back, some cinemas used to screen blue films illegally. We were teens. So after screening normal films, they will kick out kids or baby face people/teens before showing porn. Now me and my friends thought it was unfair. We paid the same entry fee as others and wanted our money's worth. Though the first time we had no idea why kids were being kicked out. But still we resisted. Luckily most of all were quite tall for our age and we claimed to be 18 and the shorter ones claimed to be senior to the taller ones! Then the blue film started! We were shocked. But composed ourselves. So as teens we thought sex was such an awesome thing and the woman screaming loud was the norm. ![]() So of course the first sexual experience came as bit of a disappointment. But still seeing those porn films were our only sex education. Nobody gave us any information/education about sex. |
Safiaa:Lol. Many out there happening. If I wanted to marry a girl of 18 sef, even as a second or third wife I'd have no problem getting one. As first wife is easy peasy. She might even be a Level 100 or 200 university student. Like I said only her family might object. Convince the family and you are good to go. Not bragging o. You do not even have to be rich. I personally do not like marrying a girl that young as they can change later and feel they missed out by marrying too early. And a personal experience years back: they can be manipulated by people, the mum in particular. Everyone can be manipulated but the young inexperienced ones even more so. I cannot elaborate but spotting that likelihood quickly enough helped me avoid such a scenario. A personal experience. Do you know how many female students and youth corpers under 25 are married? Not as few as you think. Some married ones even still mess around in NYSC camp. Look there are things we men see out there. The word marriage is quite magical for many girls still. At 19 or 20 the only thing she might ask for is to allow her complete her studies before having kids. Surprisingly not all such girls come from a poor background or just want to escape poverty by marrying early. |
Safiaa:My dear that was before. Majority I know are ready to marry from age 19 sef. Only their family kick against it, to finish studies first. If a guy is doing well he can marry a nice young girl easily. But I do not believe age is that important, young or older. Chemistry matters more. |
Uyi168:Dude he said they never had sex. Even though the girl wanted it. At 25 she can still find someone nice to marry. Not too late. The guy just need to be sure of what he wants. Either engage her or let her go. |
BumbleDevil:They will not listen. Just leave them to their ignorance....and greed on the part of the god of men. |
Evablizin:Radiographers & nurses will know that too. The bullet probably did not seriously injure/collapse the lung. Technically bullets can lodge in any organ. Even brain. The problem is the damage it does to the organ. In the heart would most likely be deadly. If the bullet injures a large blood vessel and causes bleeding then potentially deadly. Both from trauma caused and massive blood loss. But the type of gun, distance, trajectory and others would affect the impact/damage on the victim. Some bullets lodged in some parts of the body might be too risky to extricate and can there lifelong. |
