Yes. And so are ugly and average looking ladies too. Add men into the equation as well .Promiscuity is a standardised human trait in relationships. It is standard across genders not taking into account aesthetics. |
Studies in many countries have shown that women live up to 10 to 15 years longer than men. Hence a woman marrying her age mate is more likely to spend her last days as a widow. To avoid this it is advisable for women to settle with someone 5 to 10 years younger than her. Because of fertility it is advisable for men to settle with women in their prime (18-33). Due to financial reasons it is advisable for women to settle with a man who is at least 5yrs older than her. Is it just me or is everything above highlighting how complicated picking a partner truly is. Either way you cut it there will be an something toconsider. |
Temi 23: Nice write up. I don't like long courtship anyway. And what duration would you classify as a long courtship? 5yrs+ I reckon it could work if both knew each other well after the first year and the rest of the duration was just to put in place necessary things to make the union fruitful. |
Yes. And I have done it before. But how old exactly? Anything under 6 years above is not necessarily an older woman. |
Mr..Cork:Mshoza looks better before her bleaching. The world is artificial. Attraction is determined by society. Today it is big butt, tomorrow it is skinny and anorexic. Today it is big boobs and busty, tomorrow it is flat chested. Today it is fair and light skinned, tomorrow it will be dark skinned. |
striktlymi: Now isn't this just romantic?True, but do women truly value romance these days? Women love bad boys and the affluent. Romance seems to come third behind bad boy thrills and finances. |
It is actually romantic to protect the woman you care about and love. Imagine if that was your mother.... would you not stay in the firing line to protect her? |
Interesting... hmmm.... interesting PS: Have you ever taken Thorazine? |
Wasnt there a story recently about a man who left his wife-to-be because she was not pregnant prior to the wedding? This is just bonkers I dont think an abortion should be advised at that stage unless you use a reliable doctor. Is it possible to repair things? Do you still want to go ahead with the marriage if he is keen? |
honey001: I have read so many topics on religion section on this forum, a lot of so called believers here are false teachers of the word of God, going by their various posts and comments, i wont mention anybody in particular, as they know themselves. what am after is for the real believers to actually know what they belief so that they will not be carried away with erroneous doctrine, cos it takes someone that know original to be able to identify fake things. As for the new babes in Christ, i pray God will help so that u will not be carried away by these false teachings cos Jesus will soon come.Hmmmmm..... and you know the original..... hmmmmm...... |
Keziehenry: bro weda u beliv it or not it wont change d fact that Jesus is coming very soon.if u will tell urself the truth u will know that bizzare things are happening, formally we used to talk about those things but right here under our nose it hs bcome d other of d day.Like what? |
What evidence is there to suggest that it has been fulfilled? When? What date? How do you know it didnt happen 1000 years ago or 600 years ago or 200 years ago? What is happening now that never happened then? |
Hmmmm.... interesting It all adds up to one simple question.... why? Why the need for God to create? (assuming it is a need). If there must be a reason for every action then what is the reason for it? This also highlights why Omnipotency, omniscience and omnipresence can never be true characteristics or capabilities. |
Ubenedictus: constantinople was a fortified city the seat of an empire, if anything constantinople should have been protecting others not the other way round. The Byzantine empire was holding its own and also repelled 2 major Islamic attempts at conquest. It however suffered a catastrophic defeat at Manzikert followed by a civil war. The Seljuk Turks took advantage to invade Anatolia. The Byzantine Empire was just restoring itself after the calamities and had even gained some good territory. WHat Alexios Comnenus (Byzantine Emperor) needed was Western European knights to bolster his army, not a massive crusading movement that would bring chaos to the region and isolate the Christians. |
Wow. One of my favourite topics. Add the fourth crusade and Wendish crusade. |
maclatunji: Who is tying what to what? Is it Muslims that come knocking on people's doors clutching Bibles and saying- 'Believe in Jesus'? See insult- Ignorant ones trying to teach the enlightened.Muslims do that too. Muslims proselytize on street corners as well. That is something both religions have in common. |
frosbel: In some cases. In all cases. The combined jihadic efforts have killed more than Christian Crusades and the Spanish Inquisition combined. |
chukwudi44: Well if not for the crusaders frosbel would have been doing Allahu Akbar by now.I am sure he would have ended up as a suicide bomber with his maverick spirit. The crusaders did more to hamper Christianity than to halt Islams growth. Where were the Crusaders when the Ottomans conquered Constantinople? Oh yeah.... squabbling amiongst themselves as usual, what about Jerusalem? Same thing. |
frosbel2: There is no doubt in my mind that compared to the crusaders the Jihadists were saints, for they showed more humanity than the so called soldiers of Christ.I wouldnt go that far. The jihads have been pretty bloody too. Check out Tamerlane to get an idea of how bloody these things can get. |
I only saw the first 10 seconds..... Humanity is so evil. And these people think they are doing Gods work. |
Are you saying that the crusades were justified? If they were then how can you complain about the Islamic jihads. Both are pretty much a scourge upon humanity. Why cant God fight for himself and protect his people? It is obvious that these two religions are fighting for other causes and not God. |
daroz: @OP, u made a big mistake by bringing dis issue to nairaland that is full of atheist & unserious believers. I am not saying u should take d advice of the pastor or discard it, cos I don't know the kind of personality pastor has(if he is a truly called Man of God or one of those fake money inspired God of Men), and d kind of girl u wish to marry. But I want u to have this at the back of your mind,"what an Old man sees while sitting down, a young man may not see while on top of a tree". Sit down and do ur consideration properly, and plss don't also forget to involve ur parents/siblings into the decision making, their stand are also very important.Did the pastor give him a reason? If the pastor gave him a reason (other than it being an unsuitable bond) then he can look at that and draw his own conclusions. If the pastor did not give him a reason he has every right to try to get further advice. We base our decisions off information we recieve and this can be through our own deductions or advice from others. Nairaland is as good a portal as any for advice. |
Zooposki: I was a man before my manliness was stolen. I am now a woman.lol ![]() Why dont they give women manliness too.... that would be hilarious. Like a forced gender swap. |
I heard a lot about this too. Never really bought into it. It is just too silly ![]() |
ooman: Striktlymi and Davidylan once directly and indirectly pointed to me that not all atheist/agnostics are intelligent and that not all are scientific. Striktlymi went on to say that many people become atheists for many different reasons other than science/PHILOSOPHY, the view which I contended. Well, after my encounter with atheists/agnostics here, I am helpless and am sorry but you are right afterall. The reason why people reject the notion of a deity/deities is very broad. It is similar to why so many intelligent people are still religious. It does not necessarily relate to intellect alone but alot of other factors. |
I nearly died of malaria not too long ago... I can never take it lightly. I am very prone to malaria |
Bélla3: You sure you atheist? You sound more agnostic.Trust me... I am not agnostic. There is Xtianity the religion... and there is the belief in God. I dont believe in God neither do I believe there is a possibility of the existence of God. In regards to Xtianity, a simple doctrinal shift might make it more palatable and if practiced accordingly it could be more acceptable. |
anti9JA: I DON'T HAVE BEEF WITH ANYBODY. THESE ARE SHOCKING AND MIND-NUMBING FACTS WHICH ARE BETTER NOT DISCUSSED BY MENTALLY ENSLAVED NIGERIANS AND AFRICANS.Cool |
Bélla3: Christians don suffer no be small.Xtianity is doing much better than Islam. Islam is in a REAL crisis. With some doctrinal rejigging xtianity might be in a much better position. |
Non-tithers....... hmmmmmm Are you sure your name was not included? |
But xtians claim that God cannot reward on earth as He is no longer in control. He can only reward in heaven. Africas poverty is not due to Gods wishes but satans evil. I say..... If that is the case, why does God not punish those prosperity pastors leading people astray with false promises of financial blessings for tithes, seeds, offerings etc? It is obvious that there is no God. I dont mind being called a FOOL for not believing in Him because I fail to see how those who DO believe in him are any better off. |
Logicboy03: I like his messages too.I received a lot of vitriol as a xtian for my disagreement with tithe scamming and other dubious actions by some xtian religious leaders. I doubt majority will ever listen. |
