in this age and the present dispensation, Christ is our passover and bread represents the word of God. the yeast represents adulteration of the word of God. Everything that happened in the old points back to Christ, understand it that way and you will have a clearer picture of the entire book.

You define Supernatural as what's (some force) beyond our scientific knowledge and the laws of nature. I must add that we are not omniscient beings, hence we do not have all knowledge about Nature. We learn more and more daily, and the level of our understanding increases dramatically. Scientific subjects are more and more difficult and puzzling.

In the light of this: can we define Supernatural as what's beyond our PRESENT knowledge of the laws of Nature?

Also, what do you mean by "beyond"? Do you mean a violation of natural laws OR the Supernatural controls a region of affairs where Natural laws don't cover and can't reach?

Most supernatural things are things yet to be understood... not necessarily spiritual phenomena as most religious people would put it. It is probably nature that is yet to be fully explored. Think of lightning. Centuries ago it as seen as a supernatural phenomena and some cultures ascribed gods to the lightning.

In simpliest terms God is a raging inferno of love! Creation is simply God allowing love, or rather himself, so to be shared. Creation is simply an expression of love, and only rational creature can truly and fully love him right back.

If God had so much love for us that He needed to create us then why didnt He do the LOVING thing and remove sin from us rather than killing us and committing all out genocide due to His fury at our weakness which He created in us. 8.Technology? Will there be TVs, computers, internet, ipads etc...

9.whatabout cars and other modes of transport.

10.What technological age? Will it be stone age, present age? Futuristic? A mix of all the different ages?

11. Leadership structure? Who will govern? How? What will be their manifesto? Will they be democratic, communist, military dictatorship or some other form of rule,

12. Who will be the judiciary, how will they judge, what will be punishments for those who commit wrongs?

If God had Omnipotent and omnipresent powers, sin and the devil would not exist. There are only 2 conditions that would lead to sin and the devil existing:

1. God lacks the knowledge or power to prevent them. Hence God is not omnipotent or omniscient.

2. God is not benevolent and it is Gods wish for such things as sin and the devil, suffering and evil to exist.

I raised this issue a few times but few pople cared to answer. Freewill and sin do not go hand in hand. Why would God give us freewill if He did not want us to sin but knew we would sin? Why cant He remove sin so we can all live in peace and love?

For the injustice you said was done to the child, God was not the one responsible for that! I wish I could explain further but I will stop here because of the earlier mentioned limitations, otherwise I would have proceeded further to explain the diff between the Law & Grace which is much more technical and requires the Spirit for God for complete understanding.

But let give another example. In the book of Job, we're told about a man name Job who was not only very rich but was the most righteous man on earth at that time, but lost all he had. In Job 1:6-12 & 2:1-6, we were clearly told that it was satan that was responsible for His misfortune. But when Job was told of the tragedy, Job responded in Job 1: 20-21, by saying the Lord gave and the Lord has taken blessed be the name of the Lord! But we were clearly told that God was not responsible for is predicament. Just by the way, Job was the first book written in the bible.

Just answer the question... did God ensure the child died as punishment/retribution for David's sin?

Fill in the rest. The idea of an omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent God is a notion that leaves lots of gaps due to limits on such ideas.

hello nairaland atheists, firstly let me apologize if you guys find this thread insulting and i do believe most of you were once a christian or maybe already ve pass through several religion before you back out and made conclusion for atheism, and mostly due to frustration, at first you guys feel frustrated as your prayers were not answered to or maybe the religion is not working for you as you expected before the thought about “does God truely exist?” came into you. and maybe you have dedicate much time and prayed tiredlessly all to no avail before you take time to read through the bible with “anger”. when you read the bile with anger or trying to disbelief you will never be satisfied but finding fault everywhere. i would like to say this that you guys are not the only forks who is feeling this why, even true believing christian does due to all the above. let me also say this the bible can notand never be satisfactory to human thought, there are mystic to it, does who believe or take the bible matters seriously do so by faith

Maybe you need to look at the situation on ground. Prayer is not the only thing that makes people christian. What about doctrine? Maybe the bible and other doctrinal facts convinced people to look at things a little closer.
