Op, you don't know nothing... Just stay in the corner of your room to scribe nothing as something... **phew** |
WTF Op! You didn't watch the screening or you're just been mischievous. Even Akpabio was bemused and mesmerised. Dr. Fayemi only made mention of government houses in other states and specifically Akwa-ibom and Kaduna coupled with the fact that the state didn't have a befitting one as then, just to buttress his point. The "honourable" senators couldn't agree less as they were mostly smiling and nodding like agama lizards. Stop misleading people, please! |
Op, this should be an eye opener to many. I particularly like the way you outlined everything and it all started with the VISION. Your first class or sharp 2.1 can help you ace most scholarships (pressid, ptdf, spdc, nddc, exxon, nitida, etc.) and/or get funding for your pg studies. But other very much or better lucrative scholarships like erasmus mundus, Chevening, commonwealth, etc, require you to demonstrate your achievements and leadership capabilities which you can meet with at least 2 years work experience/volunteer job/NGO participation /community service coupled with your 2.1. And this is where your first class may not help you out. As Op clearly stated your personal statement should also capture all these along side your motivation, how the sponsorship and resulting qualification will benefit you and how you'll add value. Op, thanks... |
Depending on who he's calling mummy. Mummy can be anyone you take as such, your biological mother, an adopted mother, aunt, eldest sister or step mum. |
All these naija telecom providers sef.... Glo see eh, I'm a loyal customer o but I must yarn my vex.... This is a small gift to make sha after ripping like 5, 10, 20, 50 naira from over 10 million customers per day via bad network, scam promos, unsuspecting onscreen flash messages to unknowingly subscribe to services you don't need, etc. Well-done! How come I don't here of telecom research or programs being sponsored by glo, et al, talk less of having a professorial chair in a reputable university? How much on scholarship and grants annually? Only project fame, x-factor, and nonsense... There's God sha and He's seeing us. Anyway congrats P'Square, more ororo to ya elbows. |
If America is like Nigeria where there are no database of all citizens and foreigners, no background checks, no cogent military intelligence, no proactive 24/7 vigilance, etc, these kind of covert bombings will still continue. I think government should start serious funding of research areas paramount to national progress just as the oils companies in Nigeria are spending heavily on research to boost their business. WITHOUT EDUCATION, THIS COUNTRY IS GOING NO WHERE. Not this current watery education system. |
See, all their faces.... Funny thing is that when they are arrested, they look so wretched that you'll almost pity them. |
Bigot APC goon didn't realized the age he's living in. He must be a senior fool for thinking that other observers are fools. Things are getting more intrinsic....one can only imagine the part of the mess Buhari will pull this country from . But please some people should give themselves some sense. |
Dating my sister...eh? My cousin? no much grumps cos I sometimes crush on her. Anyway I have different friends (besties and non besties), some a naughty others are just cool or not rough. So, it's depending but I'll prefer the chairman dating or preferrably marry my sister before we become best friends. But why is it that guys can easily suggest their cousins to friends and most of the time also crush on their friend's sisters leading to backyard dealings and f******* everything Me I still dey wish o cos I gat fear and respect. |
I don't have a problem with Fayose as long as this his Stomach Infrastructure is directed at the less privileged. Less privileged who can't work or do anything meaningful with their lives. But I'll prefer to hear more of scholarships to the poor and other great infrastructural development strides. |
Anyone, is it true that Seplat is currently accepting email cv applications? Man went through the last process but it wasn't 100% positive. Still hopeful.... |
Thanks OP....This thread is actually for me.... I'm really going through a not too good time right now because I didn't say NO within the last two months though I had my doubts then. Some humans just have lack of understanding and are desperately wicked. |
that's y I help girls mostly only when they asked for it. no time for being Mr Nice Guy. |
The admission lists for all the programs that did entrance tests or interviews are out. I saw it with my eyes when I wanted to help a friend check at the pg school. They'll be uploaded online soon. Those for CoE have been fully uploaded. The lady I met said they have not done anything regarding the other ones. |
We need to review our membership of OIC now. If there are no tangible benefits, we have to pull out. The secularity of Nigeria cannot be compromised regardless of the wishes of the christian and muslim faiths. |
Men can't help hating on GEJ for his good or bad. Anyway, I have a new year resolution on that angle: he's my president for as long as he'll stay. |
So, with all these policies the prices of fish, rice, transportation, etc, have reduced or how are the masses benefitting? How many people have been gainfully employed and have food on their tables? Our mining industries which should provide bulk of the jobs are still dead. Actually, you can't make an effective change where the head or foundation must be changed first. |
Op, nice write up. You presented the up and down side but painted more on the dark. I have a friend who have been able to enter UAE through a friend already there and he secured a job within 3 weeks with his BSc. Now he's on my neck to hustle hard to join him there. We've been hustling since after nysc and here I am still after about 1 year and 6 months of passing out. Anyway, I am trying to stick to the advice of a top notch in shell who said the 'gulf' is crazy after professionals. So you need a certification, a professional masters of post graduate degree from the US, Canada or UK. Final point, there are opportunities everywhere, you only have to locate them. Some people can thrive in a skewed society like Nigeria while others a more amenable to an ordered society. And travelling abroad is not the final call, it might just be part of the building process. |
Let me add mine on a sarcastic note though.... I wish GEJ safe return since I don't want to hear another news... Like 'he went to do his prostitute sorry prostate exam'.... :-D Compliment of the season y'all. |
I believe most departments already have their admission list. So, just calm your nerves down as the new V.C is settling down and sorting/re-aligning people who will work with him. Limbo!!! @Samtobh, I greet your ministry |
kossyablaze:Please, can you elaborate? I fellowship mainly in RCCG. Though I didn't attend HGC, I was at Shiloh'14 here in Benin on friday and I was greatly blessed. So, what did I or those who attended neighter missed? GEJ ?? |
I've eaten palm weavil larvae, winged termit and cricket. What you guys don't know is that the palm weavil larvae costs more than suya. I remember hunting for it and fetching palm fruits from young palm trees in the bush, as a kid. A cousin lost a finger in the process. It is also found in palm wine trees. I've eaten the fully winged insect. They are mostly sold along the road from sapele down, as you are travelling to the ND region. Taste it and tell me if it's delicious or not. |
What is wrong with this woman (Prof. Duke-Abiola)? Does she want to cause 'wahala' for husband and wife? The husband can't just sit and let you take form number one even if you can prove you're first to pay for the form. Ah! The wife will just finish him. Please, we know you can't 'chance' him but just collect any form or your cash back and/or any form of compensation. Biko..... Doooh.... |
Men, I like this thread. The girls are kind of uniform. Imagine you are trying to woo a lady and you started treating her nicely. She has not verbally say YES to you but one thing led to another and you had your first KISS or SEX. After she'll just pop the question, "What are we now?" or "Are we dating now?". Folks, what's the best answer to this? And girl why do you mostly want guys to assume SILENCE for YES? |
Some disgusting response you'll get... 1. When an older or elderly person walk past you. Me: Good morning Sir! Response: Oh, good morning jare. How u dey na? There will be no time to complete your reply. 2. When you walk past them... Me: Good morning ma! Response: Eheen, so Doro, you didn't see me before? You'll now be like "I was....". I'll just form my eyes-right or left and ignore these people. |
O thou foolish hypocrites! So, Suleiman Abba baricading NASS to prevent legislators from attending to a pressing demand (BH) is a pressing national issue but 'threatening to impeach' the oga at the top of the matter is not. Doyin Okupe could have given the JONATHANIANS and saTANists some hope by at least stating that the impeachable offences are baseless. Menhn the steerer and steering wheel of this country must be CHANGED before we'll start realising our true greatness. That's my 2cents.... Good day y'all. |
I have been scamed by a family friend before. Though I never believed him, my dad urged me on that I should give it a try. We were living in the same neighbourhood then. While he was away, he kept assuring me of the so called shell job. At a point he stopped picking my calls until his line finally went off. In the end we discovered the guy succeeded in playing everybody, including his landlady and disappeared with his wife and kids. My dad has been played himself by 419s (some local guys) when I was much younger. We all blamed him for that though he was able to recover part of the money. So, around the middle of this year, I received a call from a bastard who call himself Evangelist. He called me by name, told me where I served in rivers state and said I asked him to inform me whenever there is a vacancy in his company. Whaddaa f***!!! Never heard of or seen the bastard and I asked him, how's that? I just maintain my cool, then he said he worked at nlng in bonny that he'll send me the HR number so that I can speak with him and do whatever he ask me to do. When I got home I told my guy that I've been called by a scammer but I'll just wait to confirm. I told him I'll never call them, but they'll call me till they get tired. So, the fucvktaard called again and sent the HR number via sms. After few more calls and sms to confirm if I'm following up failed, he just gave up. And I was like "I told you". Fellas, this was about 6 months ago and I did bother to keep the numbers and sms. I have heard many personal stories in line with this in Nigeria's oil and gas zones. Please beware! And always have a probing mind! |
I saw the news on TV last night and on seeing the 'regret notice', an elderly yoruba man was like "They can't regret for my head, they are regreting for their own life....". In other news, some of us could not find our names on the voters list at my polling unit in benin city. But this one, a whole unit. JEGA SHOULD BE SACKED, PLEASE!!! |
Has the SA government distributed same "stove" in their country? So Nigerians (students research teams in uniben and unilag) can come up with fuel efficient race cars that shone at international competitions via shell's sponsorship and we can't channel same resources to produce efficient stoves. Or is this how our govt is bribing the SA govt over the arms saga? I was virtually mad while watching the 10pm news last night. I AM CALLING ON ALL SENSIBLE YOUTHS TO PLEASE HELP FLUSH G.E.J AND HIS OBNOXIOUS CREW DOWN THE DRAIN QUICK!!! |
. notobs:Bros, don't just try yourself on that axis, from eleme junction down to nonwa because you'll be disappointed. Expecting to see you pictures though. Mehn, even public schools along that axis are very ok or semi ok. Not to talk of the model primary schools. I've seen three in that axis located in alesa, nchia and eteo. Guy also stop at the model secondary school at ebubu (just one of those in each lga) and you'll be amazed. I've seen just two of d model sec schools but have sighted many of the model primary schools. The model sec school is not for every tom, dick and harry. Besides, the rascal governor recruited many teachers last year some of which are not indigenes. Indians managing the model sec schools doesn't mean they are d ones teaching there. We barely hear their english. There should be a reason for their involvement though not forgeting that Indians ares some of the most intelligent people on earth. Btw, I don't think a rascal of the order of Ameachi is out of place in nigeria. Remember that your man at the centre can no more guaranty the price of garri--my major concern. |
@OP, whoever might be concerned, other protocols observed. Let me categorically and emphatically point it out to you that you girlfriend's sole mission is to get a free pass from you. She wants you to approve the gifts, money and other favour that may receive from those guys/men. |
. But please some people should give themselves some sense.
