How do I fix this? Whenever I open an ms file (doc, xlxs or pnt) on my pc, it automatically generates a Shortcut file. Also when I copy files with external hdd or usb, a desktop Shortcut is created in the external drive. Please, I need a good antivirus cos I don't believe this avast is giving my pc all round protection. It updates but will still pop info for me to purchase it and expired licence thing.

This is gross.... My younger sister did jamb last year and scored 190. She's admitted to a poly but I asked her to stay put cos of family challenges. Long story short, we currently on my dad's burial and she's billed for cbt on Wednesday so I've been gingering her (number of practice per day, etc). However she shocked me today when she informed me that she'll be travelling to delsu campus 2 by Tuesday (same venue for her last jamb). According to her last year she was slated for 9.30am but delayed till almost 2pm, searched like twice and were forced to quit the cbt (virtually chased out of the hall) when she still had enough time to round up. I argued with her that it's not possible and had that in mind till I'm seeing candidates reactions now.
This is very serious as it appears jamb isn't ready yet. What can we get right in this naija Omo!

I just remembered how my cousin cried so profiously on her wedding day back in 2013 that even her mum and siblings started crying. That was when she's to be taken to the church. And I was like... This is what happens when no adult is there to guide kids. They just let them raom about. Kids nowadays don't want to ignite the knockout and throw it out even when they don't know how to handle it. Some of this accidents are also due to impatience... E don wan to shoot lemme check it and **boooooom**.
As a kid I was shooting carbide and it exploded in my face because it was taking too long to explode and I had to check it out. I was always afraid of shooting the 1naira knockout so I used to ignite them in the sand. Later on, I saw older kids, young adults and some adults who will ignite the knockout and hold it through all the rounds of explosion. I was determined to do same, so sometimes with guidance I'll hold it through the first two rounds and throw the last one out until I was bold enough to hold it through all the rounds. I went on to be a chronic shooter. I used to have issues with neighbours and my mum had to once settle issues with the local vigilantees. God's mercies see us through mehn and now I always advice kids about shooting knockouts. Sometimes, even in this festive season, I have to direct some kids on how to handle it. But parents are becoming more courteous as non of the kids in my compound have thrown a knockout since I came home for a week now. Instead they buy sparking light for them. Thank God sha... Back then, I won't envisage an easter, Xmas or burial without knockouts.
Bottom line, parents should be more watchful of their kids.

Petroleum will still be the main stay of the world for a long long time. Which means that most of you will be long long gone. Besides, neighbouring countries are producing oil from sub-basins that are kind of extension to the benue trough which is thought to possibly contain oil in the Nigerian chad area. Advanced prospecting work has been performed in the area so I don't think planning to continue was ill adviced.
Some people instead of using the oil money during the boom to develop minerals extractive industries and advance agriculture, they were busy stockpiling their banks, bedrooms, wardrobes, tanks, briefcases, ghana-must-gos, pockets and what have you. This CU (can't say for others) is a fast rising institution and they are currently turning in some of naija's best graduates.
I graduated from Almighty Uniben but I have meet some of their graduates on one or two occasions, interacted with some guys who were privileged to do some research work in the school and I was privileged to be taught by a top rated first class prof who's a adjoint to the school.
