When a woman truly loves a man, she wouldnt put him under pressure for money just after losing his job. She would rather seek for ways to support him. She had big hopes of marrying a successful footballer hence her support during those times. The attraction waned when it didnt work out as planned. Inspiring and sad story. RIP to Shola. |

Good. That was how my cousin (of blessed memory)rejected a block maker's advances years ago. The guy rose to become a top manager at one of the major insurance companies. He owns the most beautiful house in my area today.
Things i noticed about him back then 1. He used to buy newspapers everyday. Whenever he was not laying bricks, he was reading newspapers. People used to borrow papers from him. 2. I latér learnt he was doing some part time courses
Funny enough, he never left the area. The block industry where he worked is still there. He bought land on that same Street and built. |

chozzy: . Ogun governor is even closing international borders ? Lol ... this Buhari is a shithole, I swear.
When we tell zombies that Abba Kyari is the de facto president of Nigeria and that Buhari is just a piece of Mannequin decorating the Villa, they argue.
Since Kyari was quarantined for Covid 19, nothing seems to be happening in the villa again. No one is giving orders. Buhari is senile, lifeless and only used in the Villa for photoshoot.
Every governor is now a president and commander-in-Chief of his state.
. you have said everything accurately. Governor giving directives on international borders |

Threemg: Wow! Part 9 already. Congratulations ednut. What you said is not completely true, I am glad your GCMS came and revealed that RR was marked on your POF which based on what happened to our application as well I can conclude that it played a "major" role is delaying your PPR. Yes some folks are lucky with PFA but a larger folk are not and reason why it's flagged. As a smart guy which made you order your GCMS, imagine what would have happened if your haven't? Our PPR was delayed too due to flagged PFA as part of POF. So since then I have encouraged guys do all you can not to include PFA in your summed POF because some VO no get joy. Let PFA not "delay" to supposedly arrival of PPR. Once again Congratulations brother, Once this whole COVID-19 bullshit goes down we'll be glad to welcome you. ok. |

link2ok: There are lots of people here taking the route of learning a new language, do not discourage anyone. Paying 5k per hour and downloading all the French app on playstore wouldn't automatically make you start speaking French, you have to work hard. It's like paying for Chris Pell and I don't take action and I expect to pass my IELTS just because I paid.
To those learning French to boost their CRS score, keep the fire burning, it is achievable. learning french to boost your score score is very achievable. I did that from ground level 0 last year and got 45 points from TEF. I got ITA at age 38. I've seen others do that as well. Visit the TEF Nairaland thread and read from page 1. That was how I got inspired to start the journey and it paid off. But it requires a high level of dedication, self-discipline and tremendous hardwork and optimism. The year is still quite fresh. I took my decision about this time last year. |

Mamaroon: I love your Usain Bolt and pot-belly analogy!!!
True, people need to count the cost before putting their hands to the TEF plough (it is a guzzler of time and money and mega bytes of data)..but you'll be surprised what people who have no flare for languages can achieve when they put their minds to it.
In reality, the race may involve writing TEF multiple times. If folks can write IELTS 4, 5, 6 times to increase CRS, get ITA and check out of Nigeria...why not TEF....It all depends on how much you want the COPR and what your driving force is. #MyOpinion
Just a little correction though, CLB7 in IELTS is equivalent to LRWS 6666....hopefully someone will see that TEF CLB 7 may not be impossible after all...and to provide the English context most of us are operating at IELTS CLB9 or 10!

Peace bro, no quarrel! our very own mamaroon!!! Ca fait longtemps! I agree with you totally. Those taking the French route are those who really have their minds set on Canada and are willing to give anything to achieve that dream. They are already self-motivated knowing there's no alternative (no pnp, no sibling points in most cases) and take each obstacle as a challenge. Their level of optimism is unparalleled. They are not wishful thinkers. They are hardworking, dedicated people. Like mamaroon has said, if you fit into the description above, join the TEF Nairaland thread and learn french to boost your score. For me, it's the only pragmatic way especially if you've maxed ielts and your crs is still low due to age. |

I remember my secondary days. I had malaria and mum took me to the hospital. By the time, we returned home, I was very weak from the injections I had received and could hardly stand. Mum needed to get some items at the market nearby and didn't want to leave me at home all by myself.
Our neighbour in the next compound offered I stayed in her home till my mum returned. She's actually a nice woman. She led me to her children's bedroom. All seemed normal and I was beginning to doze off. Suddenly, I looked up and saw a big wall frame on which it was written "Reformed Ogboni Comfraternity" with a picture of her husband fully dressed in what I perceived was the regalia. I jumped up immediately. My fever vanished. I told the woman I wanted to go home.
She was surprised. I told her I felt better. Luckily, I met my mum at the gate. We had barely entered our home when i started telling her what I saw. She was also surprised. |
