PoliticsRe: First Ladies Summit: 200 Cars Ordered By FG (BMW X3, X5, Jaguar & Other Exotics) by ayinba1(f): 11:39am On Jul 25, 2012
It would be great if this turns out to be a rumor but that is wishful thinkiing. Shortly after the fuel subsidy removal, all the senators got a spanking new Toyota SUV. I was so confident that it was a rumor but it turned out not to be so. Of course, the visitors would need a car to get around but a serious government would at least give a company like Innoson a chance to supply these. It will provide jobs and keep some money in the system. It would also b an opportunity for further development.
I guess the story will be confirmed after the vehicles are delivered.

Nigerians wake up. Sign petitions against this wasteful spending, sign it on facebook, twitter or whatever. Tell your senators that they should work for you and stop voting without without asking for past achievements.

Wow!
This is really suspicious. Why are some people's posts riddled with insults? Everyone should endeavor to be respectful even in disagreement. Is this not what Islam teaches us?

It seems that there are folks here just out to make Islam look bad so beware of these people.

Betamethason valreate ointment is a good steroid to apply.
Mai n shanu means "cow's oil/fat" you can ask anyone brave to travel north of the niger to get it for you or obtain from the nomads. It does not smell good though!
Family13 Year Old Girl Beats Up Her Own Mother! by ayinba1(op): 1:22am On Jun 20, 2012
Okay, some may say it is an exageration but this is an eye witness Account.

"this family is actually pretty okay econmically but not educationally sound, so i happen to be visiting my friend and his sister who happens to be 13 was being scolded by the mom. The mom then raised her hand to hit this girl,, eewwoooo, come see slaps as e begin rain on this woman. I was actually embarrassed for her. Fast forward 13years later, my neighbour's son showed me this same girl that she was claiming that her baby is his. He was confident that the baby was not his but wanted to do the right thing"

So would you say a word about what you saw? What if the guy in question is your mother's son?
FashionRe: Please Help Me, My Hair Is Turning To That Of Mama Eko!!! by ayinba1(f): 4:14pm On Jun 18, 2012
First, stop applying any chemical agents to your hair.
If you must, even though i would discourage it, use a loose fitting wig when you go out.
Allow your hair to gradually grow back

Try to get "mai nshanu" from the north or from people that have contact with bororo jays / fulani cattle rearers.

Under no circumstances should you attach anything to your hair, that is if you don't want to totally become iya eko.
I hope this helps.

FYI
I went natural about 4 years ago after working with a dermatologist, my hair is the longest it has ever been.
If you do not have mainshanu, try to get a potent steroid ointment for the patchy areas.

Good luck.
IslamRe: Barka Juma'ah by ayinba1(f): 12:41am On Jun 03, 2012
Barka jumaah

Lesson from Jumaah
Regardless of sociocultural backgrounds, all Muslims should endeavor to be like the Prophet of Islam. Examples of so called Islamic nations where Muslims are killing each other due to tribal reasons while supposedly kufar regions are at peace.

Muslims cannot continue to be silent in their society saying " it does not concern us" for example, the legalization of same sex marriage in some states.

Reminder that there will come a time when holding on to this deen will be likened to holding on to hot coal.

Salam

dmainboss: The level of s.tu.p.i.dity here on NL is so alarming. Just reading the response to GEJ's statement makes you wonder what kind of daft youths we have in this country. The kind of statement GEJ is making is the stuff of great men. The level of his wisdom and decorum awes me and some daft guys come here and type bull. This is so revealing. It shows most of you here have never read history books and therefore do not have a clue what and how great leaders and philosophers spoke.

That statement up there is profound is all ramification. It is the stuff only great men can say. The Buhari's of this world cannot say such stuff because they live in a world where men are seen as tools to be used. They understand nothing about the dignity of humanity and the freedoms of men. Every president is loyal to his party as much as he is loyal to his country because his party is part of the country. His party is not made up of aliens. PDP is a representation of Nigerians whether you like it or not. Secondly, that you as an individual dont like PDP doesnt mean the president should reject the party on whose platform he became president and those saying 99% of Nigerians dont like him, I wonder where you got your statistics from. If he contests another election, he will still beat Buhari by a very wide margin. Do you see how many likes he still generates from his Facebook page? You can lie to yourself all you want but he still has one of the biggest following on Facebook in Nigeria. Far ahead of all the noise making activists like El Rufai and Bakare.

You expect GEJ to slander his party or what? Well, I dont expect anything different from this generation of disloyal Nigerians whose words are not what a bowl of soup. A man that doesnt understand the principles of loyalty and follower-ship cannot be taken seriously. Only a good follower can be a good leader. Some of you have been so bastardized by the military mentality of the 90s that you cannot think straight anymore. You now want a dictator as a president and think that talking bullish arrogance is what qualifies one as a leader. No wonder you take Buhari seriously.

What a country!
This post here is really disturbing.
As for GEJ, I was hoping the topic of the thread was a joke or some parody but alas!

Gbawe:
very succinct analysis of what obtains currently. 2 , in the end , will likely get its way because of how 1 is too compromised to ever move decisively and destroy 2. Very easy for 2 to act boldly because it is conscious of how 1, via how it came to inherit office,  will never have the forthrightness to expose and tackle 2 publicly.

The efficacy and impunity of 2 also grows in direct relation to how 3 is too hideously avaricious to ever embrace the self-sacrifice that will support 1 to liberate Nigeria from the madness 2 wishes to create by all means. All in all, we are all to blame. We let a vacuous class of greedy empty barrels (OBJ, IBB, Anenih et al) oversee the recruitment process that churns out the most influential leaders in the land for the past decade. When we all derelicted our duties, comically illustrated by our entertainers who danced like court jesters and composed "goodluck" songs, then perhaps we deserve what is happening now.

It is only in Nigeria that folks, because of religious and ethnic bias, would ignore those who have given it all for Nigeria to go and pick a man who stands for nothing at all and was mediocrity personified his entire political life. I am convinced that 2 will win while 1 and 3 remains composed of the same clueless underperformers too weak, compromised , greedy, unprincipled and selfish to move decisively and do what is needed to save Nigeria.
Gbawe, I need to contact you via email off NL. Pls send me a contact email- ayinba@yahoo.com.

Thanks

PoliticsRe: Kano Bomb Blast In Pictures by ayinba1(f): 11:56am On Jan 21, 2012
Is there a leader in the country? I choose to be different from those who claim that it is the west. Are we so dumb that we cannot think for ourselves? If NL is anything to go by, we Nigerians are quite capable of killing each other off for different reasons.

If we find a common ground in ethnicity, then religion becomes a factor to that WE ALLOW to disunite us. If we happen to be of the same ethnicity and religion, clan differences are given a chance BY US to divide us. If we are even of the same clan, WE ALLOW blood ties to cause disunity.

At the end of the day, WE CHOOSE!
AT no time in this world will everyone be of the same - race, religion, physical traits, ideology, (u name it). Those who recognize these differences and TOLERATE them are the ones who prosper.

NOW THE MUSLIMS CLAIM ISLAM IS A PEACEFUL RELIGION, HOW COME A GROUP OF MUSLIMS(BOKO HARAM ) IN THE NORTH ARE GIVING ISLAM A BAD NAME AND THE MUSLIMS HAVE NOT RISEN IN THE SAME ANGER THEY DID DURING THE CARTOON TO ATTACK THOSE GIVING ISLAM A BAD NAME?

NOT EVEN A SINGLE PROTEST TO BOKO HARAM IN THE NORTH.  shocked shocked shocked shocked

DOES IT MEAN THEY ARE IN SUPPORT? WELL "IF YOU ARE NOT PART OF THE SOLUTION, THEN YOU MUST BE PART OF THE PROBLEM " .
You should probably take "meka" out of your name because if other people think like you, they may believe that you are a muslim and a BH/terrorist.

And going by your thought process, would it be correct to say all christians who have not condemned cannibalism as shown in the video above are in support of it OR even say all northern christians are in support of cannibalism OR all Berom christians are in support of cannibalism?

I would suggest that you reflect for some time before you post. Muslims do not have to defend Islam, it speaks for itself. Take time to find out the truth, it will set you free if you let it.

This is a beautiful thread. Nashville and Gbawe, the maturity displayed in your discourse is a welcome air.

I would state that these 3 are great Nigerians that would make a positive impact wherever they may be asked to serve the people.

Ribadu, IMO, learned his lesson. I do not believe he had foul intentions, it could be that his zeal to make things better led him to dine with the devil. He had warnings but failed to heed them.

He is still fundamentally a disciplined young man. And I support him if he chooses to apply to serve again.

PoliticsRe: Dear Fellow Nigerians, Its All Over, Return To Work by ayinba1(f): 3:26am On Jan 16, 2012
Orikinla:
Dear Fellow Nigerians, I advise you to retun to work. Because, you are being used as pawns in this chess of the political power brokers and the cabal of the oil cartel whose major shareholders include President Goodluch Jonathan and his political godfathers and sponsors. Leaders of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) and the ruling party in power, People's Democratic Party (PDP) are involved. They are presently still meeting in Lagos and Abuja since yesterday. They have scores to settle over how much they have misappropriated since 1985 to date in their 419 fuel subsidy scam. The godfathers and sponsors of the NLC, TUC and CLOs are implicated. You are all been played. Pastor Tunde Bakare does not even know the real deal going on. Many of the people President Goodluck Jonathan gave national awards from CON to GCON levels are members of the cabal. Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas, Efik, Ibibio,Izon, Idoma and others are involved. It is a ruling class mafia showdown. Go back to work and let them settle their scores. When the dust clears, the masses will be wiser. Our own Jerry Rawlings is coming. God will deal with them. God will save Nigeria. Good night.
I don't understand you. How do you propose a man earning 18k per month to go back to work? He should ask for bribes? steal?
Don't you believe in the power of the people? It is a dire situation but do you really think things can change for a people if they do not make these changes happen for themselve?
There is no another Moses coming to save Nigeria. Nigerians have to do it themselves.

On the Pen Cinema murder, what ridiculous quote is attributed to the segun dpo regarding the victim. Pictures don,t lie. There were at least 3 police men surrounding this man, the next minute he is dead and his corpse is stripped to show his nudity. OmG. Have we become animals, no one to cover up his corpse with some garments? People arre just looking on. This has definitely ruined the day.

I pray for strength and consolance for the family of the deceased.

You are elected officials of Nigeria. You do not care about the people. Please propose and approve a 50% pay cut for yourselves and this will give the people some hope. Prosecute those who have stolen from the commonwealth and stop stealing yourselves. This is not a sustainable way to run a government.
