With due respect to your mom, Dora is not your mom and she don't have to cook for nobody beyond the four corner walls of her house.

Fashola uses Rauf Aregbesola as Guinea pig

Also huhuonline.com gathered that Fashola has been going tough and taking very decisive measures on some certain state duties; one of his guinea pigs in this new step of stamping his position of authority in the state is Engineer Rauf Aregbesola, who Fashola eased out of his official residence. It was discovered that Aregbesola has been residing in that official apartment since his days as Commissioner for Works under Senator Bola Tinubu, he later contested election in Osun State as Governor but lost out, yet he refused to evacuate that official residence 3 years after he left office as Commissioner, until Fashola showed him the way out.

Going back n forth with these clowns is absolutely unnecessary and pointless. Let them weave and swim in their conspiracy theories and mindless rants.

Why respond to people who don't have to prove their allegations and ridiculous innuendos with documented facts and evidence? All they have is mindless rants and hearsays. Till they come up with something, just ignore them.

The burden is on them, not you. They are nothing but needless distraction.

It is your God's given right to hate, to be sad and feel disgruntled, just too bad your sad and gloomy outlook can't stop the Great State of Lagos from progressing accordingly. We left you behind in 2007 and we're not looking back, it's a new and brighter day for Lagos State. Deal with it.

Give us proof. Let Diamond Bank come out publicly & tell us they ponied up the cash for this white elephant. Metro rail is NOT a priority project, how many areas of Lagos will benefit from it? Badagry Express has been hijacked by FG, plus why didn't Fashola do the basic research on what rights LASG have to that highway before sinking in money? It's simple, he's rushing into projects that give him the opportunity to steal the most cash, himself & his godfather, Tinubu.
Isn't the burden of proof on you to prove that the Government of the Great state of Lagos bought the Yatch. Only a foolish retard go open mouth say Metro rail is not a priority.

People are ecstatic about Fashola's 'reforms' because he came and started enforcing basic municipal laws, we're so used to living like animals. Tinubu is the real animal for leaving Lagos in such a horrible condition for eight solid years - all the streets littered with trash, gangs of area boys roaming everywhere & extorting citizens, armed robbers laying siege on entire neighbourhoods for hours. O.K Fashola has more or less put an end to all this stuff but let's see the real development. 4th Mainland bridge will open up Ikorodu, up to Epe and ease the pressure on 3rd mainland, it has remained a pipedream for years, instead he preferred to buy Yatch Hotel and Eko Atlantic City at the cost of billions of dollars.

Fashola isn't really doing anything in Lagos beyond the most basic day to day governance. If you like continue shouting babapupa, wonder how much he actually pays you.
Why don't you dash him the money to build the bridge? You tink say na cowry shells den go take build am? or make the bobo just take money away from other priorities like the metro rail, badagry express, lekki - epe express, education, health and take build 4th mainland?

And get your freeking hating facts rights, Lagos state Government didn't buy no yatch, Diamond Bank bought the Yatch. Simple google inquiry for don help and give you needed knowledge in this area. Funny how some of you show up just to yarn like common olodo. If you won criticize, at least know something about wetin you dey criticize. Some of you are just intellectually lazy.

If Fashola dey pay me to be proud of my state, how much den dey pay you to hate Lagos state? Sometimes I wonder about some of you clowns, you don't even make sense no more.

PoliticsRe: Lagos Court Halts Probe Of Fashola by babapupa: 12:24am On Mar 18, 2010
He faulted the action of the House for acting on bare allegations published in the advertorial by a group, which he described as faceless instead of a petition addressed directly to the assembly.
The judge said though the court was not teaching the lawmakers how to do their jobs, it was only raising questions that the members could take into consideration in similar situations in future.

Justice Abiru lambasted the lawmakers, saying their actions in setting up the committee to investigate the allegations amounted to mere wasting of the tax-payers’ money and the time meant to be used for making laws for the good people of Lagos.
He said the setting up of the six-man panel to investigate the allegations against Fashola was a fundamental violation of the principles of natural justice and described the assembly’s move as unconstitutional, unlawful, illegal, malicious and of no effect whatsoever.

Justice Abiru said: “The whole brouhaha leading up to this case was predicated on an advertorial published in the Punch Newspaper of January 28, 2010 by an unidentified and unidentifiable group called ‘The True Face of Lagos’ wherein several allegations of financial impropriety were levelled against the Executive and Legislative arms of the Lagos State government; the advertorial was Exhibit RA 1.

“The group that made the publication was faceless without any known address or location other than email address and no documents were published in the advertorial to support any of the allegations. They were bare allegations and above all the allegations were not contained in a petition addressed directly to the House of Assembly but published advertorial.
“The group, ‘The True Face of Lagos’, had not hitherto been known for or associated with the struggle for good governance and probity in government expenditure in Nigeria.

Yet, the House decided to set up a committee, expending tax payers’ money and the time meant to be used for making laws for the good of the people of Lagos State to investigate the allegations without stating any cogent reason in the House proceeding for that day, why it deemed the allegations important enough to direct that they be investigated.

“Does this mean that if tomorrow another advertorial comes out from another faceless group accusing members of the House of collecting bribes from an agency of government, for example, and shirking in their constitutional responsibilities, another committee will be set up to investigate same? What if another advertorial comes out the next day and another a week thereafter? What then happen to the business of law-making? And it is this that has caused so much unpleasant ripples within the polity. Something definitely is not right
This is the same argument I've been making, the judge must have photocopied my brain,

God bless is heart. The lawmakers are not only shamelessly stupid, they themselves need to be impeached for abuse of power/office.

Makes me feel lousy that these clowns are my elected officials.
PoliticsRe: Fashola Commissions 16 Fire Fighting Equipment by babapupa: 1:48am On Mar 17, 2010
Aloy+Emeka:
It makes a big difference that even though he purchased this vehicles, we did not lose anything as a nation because he bought them locally. The story would have been different if he purchased them from Brazil or Germany.

Ask yourself why ANNAmco makes and supplies these trucks to South Africa, Gabon, Libya[thanks to Obasanjo] and Morrocco yet no Nigerian state has a functional fire fighting truck apart from this one fashola purchased lately. Your country is sorry.
To tell you the truth, I'm very much oblivious to the fact that any Nigerian comp produces fire trucks. Sure, it's a good thing that the equipments were sourced locally. These are even better equipments than what they have in Abuja.

Lagos state's new approach is to let the battalion pick up trucks race to fire scenes as first responders while relaying updates to inbound fire engines and water trucks via dedicate fire service radio. This allows the fire station to determine the nature of the fire, what equipment is needed and the best rout to access to the fire scene via the new GPS system.

The shameful old ways of doing things really got to go. I'm glad the state is stepping in with a fresh professional fire firefighting approach.

While the exercise brought wailing and lamentation to some people, some residents in the area sighed with relief. Many of them told Vanguard Metro that the demolition would at least put to an end the frequent ritual sacrifices carried out in the market.

“Some of the traders have been performing a lot of sacrifice in this market. They said the purpose  was so that Fashola would forget about the demolition. According to them, the Governor would be so engaged with other state matters that he will forget about this place. They have killed a lot of rams and goats but all proved abortive,” they said.

According to them, the market had more or less become a hide out for some hoodlums who used the place for their nefarious activities. “I have lived here for a period of 17 years. Initially the place was peaceful until recently when residents could not sleep with their eyes closed. The place became a breeding ground for hoodlums who defecate and liter the environment with refuse. Many of them are street urchins who loot and rob people any time they have the advantage to do so. Many of them who passed the night in our compound claimed they had paid a lot of money to their local government chairman not knowing the money did not get to Fashola,” said Mrs. Oluwakemi Peters.

The behavior of the two were indeed very similar, if Fayose indeed flew without permission or within unallowed perimeter. How is Oni supposed to know who was in the helicopter (because they had Fayose's flyer ?). Suppose the helicopter carried gun men who proceeded to land in the governor's compound and take him out. I am not defending Oni, but he was probably angry and saying more than he would ever actually do. Both of them acted like goons - I don't think Oni has the right to shoot anybody down or should even consider it unless in the face of danger. You have to see the similarity here or is your politics getting in the way. Gov. Fashola needs to stay far away from Fayose of chicken farm fame!
Is any part of Ekiti a no fly zone? Is it against any law to fly helicopters in Ekiti/Nigeria?

Obviously, this is nothing but grandstanding and abuse of power. Saying he would have ordered the plane to be brought down by security but that he held his peace when he learnt the ex-governor was not on board obviously = close knowledge per who's on the plane/not on the plane.

Ekiti's airspace is not a no fly zone and politicians have been flying campaign helicopters in Nigeria since the first republic. Awolowo used helicopters extensively. Oni sounds irrational and paranoid. You still can not show me what law/s Fayose violated. It's not a crime to fly helicopters in Nigeria and I don't think the governor's office is also FAA's office.
PoliticsRe: I Would Have Shot Down Fayose’s Chopper Over Ado-ekiti –oni by babapupa: 4:06am On Mar 03, 2010
Flying a plane without clearance and Oni saying he would have ordered the plane to be brought down by security but that he held his peace when he learnt the ex-governor was not on board are not the same

What if Fayose was on on the plane? He'll still knowingly bring down the plane, killing Fayose other occupants?

There is no similarities of absurdities here. Oni is a loony. What happened to due process. It's a shame the Guy is the Governor of a state.
