Last week was extremely busy one for me as we worked on pouring 14 slabs which was completed yesterday.

While at it, a friend sent me some images by a Lagos based steel construction company imsystems_ng which specializes in Cargotecture (shopping container house construction).

In couple of weeks, we’d be exploring the possibilities. I hope this will inspire you to “Think Different.”

She's very supportive. Doesn't bother me and let's me do my thing. She doesn't boss me or anything of sorts. A client contacted me to build for him in an Estate in Ibadan. This estate is owned by a big estate management company, the kind you will buy land from and ne largest assured.

While I was building, my client's brother came and said he wants me to handle his own build too, in the same estate.

I don't usually do paperwork for clients but the new client said I, instead of the estate management, must handle his paperwork too.

Do you know what we discovered? The land is actually under [/b]government acquisition, and therefore state govt won't sign the red copy.

The Est mgt claimed they bought the land from the local government. Even if that is so, shouldn't the state government be aware? And Ratification done?

Budget: Naira 15.850 m (construction stage only, from the foundation till the roofing is completed only)

+/- 6m² per 20 kg bag

= 17 bags x #1,700

WALL TILING
Using of normal OPC cement for the job
Let’s assumed your wall is in a well level gauge.

No of cement(50kg) 20bag*3000=60,000
Plaster sand 2.5 tones —————-10,000
Total ——————N70,000.

FLOOR TILING
Assumed the floor is well balance
No of cement (50kg)40*3000=120,000
Sharp sand 20 tones ————-50,000
Total —————-N170,000


In summary
If it’s Wall tiling it will cost you some of N70,000( to cover 100m2 area.

If it’s floor tiling it floor tiling it will cost you some of N170,000 to cover 100m2 area.


Adhesive/ super fix
-No sand needed for the wall here.
-We are using good product of 2500 per 20kg here.
Calculation 100m2 area.
WALL
Nos of superfix(20kg)45bags*2500=112,500

FLOOR
Sand is needed here as leveling to desired height with normal OPC cement and this most be done earlier before using of this superfix.

Nos super-fix (20kg) 50bags*2500=125,000
Sand is need here

Sand 20 tones======N50,000
Cement 30bags*3000=N90,000
Total=N265,000

Summary of superfix-Wall. N112,500
Floor N265,000
Total N377,500

I do use the adhesive for mosaic work or marble price ranges from N2000-N3000 per 20kg for good product, they are lesser one like 1200 or so but they are not that good.
And you can’t mix it sand

So in conclusion it’s not cheaper

If in the East/South-South, l will say Spyder
If it is anywhere above Lokoja (Up North), l will say[b] Abduilwastecx[/b], if it is after the Niger Bridge down South West, l will say[b] Aventures, Segzy[/b] and one other name that l cant remember right now.

I have just finished doing the oversite on my foundation (German floor). 5" thick .

However I noticed , I will need some adjustment during block forming.

My question is, can a wall run outside of the foundation ground partition ? This is because I intend to steal a foot space .

If it is 'a share' they are after, maybe that can be arraigned but you will be shocked to hear that the moment you start your Refuse Management Company, one 'Big Man Politician' from somewhere will suddenly realise you are making money from it and then decide to use his children or a front to setup a sham Refuse management Company and INSIST that ONLY THAT COMPANY can do refuse Management Business in that state, and your Company is ruined.

Hello! I would suggest you go for a wooden floor! Then you can paint your living room with Cream and White : Shades of cream will help warm up the whites in your space while keeping it light and bright. However if you still intend on using Tile! (Use Mixture of Black & cream Tile) Tilers would understand the Settings Better °•°
