oyb: so exactly what was he saying? where is beaf to translate this incoherent vote God for president diatribe?Since you cannot understand simple English and need my help, here goes: GEJ gave a sermon in a church service, during which he and the congregation that God poured out their hearts in prayer for the upliftment of Nigeria. In his humbleness, GEJ stated that he does not have the thug-like qualities Nigerians like demand in the mistaken belief that shouting, throwing stones and insults are a mark of intellect and leadership, rather he is a civilising force that can bring change without recourse to the dictatorial and wicked ways of our past rulers and their hoards of unwashed, feral disciples. What do you expect the President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, gentleman and academic to say in church, in the presence of God? Where you expecting the President to utter words like; "amadioha soda my enemies anus, sopona bend their left leg and dims their right eye?" You guy's seriously lack civilisation (thank goodness that is part of GEJ's Fresh Air package). Whether you like it or not, jungle style politics is being banished for good, dude you'll have to learn to bath and perfume up. Dig? ![]() Thankfully, the President is not a baboon like you, sir. When will you get tired of this childish foolishness? Nigerians are beginning to experience things they previously thought impossible, there have been no fuel shortages, there have been dramatic improvements in electricity supply, oil is being metered for the first time in Nigeria's history, Nigeria is also able to service oil rigs locally for the first time in our history etc etc etc. These are things the gorrilla's, bushmen and fools that are your examples of good leadership could not achieve during their years of ra'pe, brigandage and bare-faced theft (things you call "strong leadership" . |

lagcity:Lol! Thats the sad part of life in a democracy. The rich get to enjoy life even when charged as criminals, they get the best lawyers that can pull rabbits out of a hat, while the poor have no such choices and languish in jail until trial. This is one area of the Nigerian system that we really need to put pressure on until its fixed. The poor should have the same rights and freedoms as the rich. |
lagcity:Bankole is only free on NL where we love our daily dose of beer parlour rumour. That guy is surely headed for jail. ![]() His next court appearance is on Oct 17. |
I wonder why Fashola didn't turn up? ![]() That dude is gonna end up in either PDP or LP, he doesn't need to hang out with ne'er do wells like the frog-like thief, Tinubu and the delusional Aregbesola. |

Boko Haram plans to use govt number plates •Military alerts to plans to bomb govt offices •Security men search for sect members in Warri Written by Chris Agbambu and Sylvester Idowu Tuesday, 20 September 2011 THE military high command has warned all establishments under its purview to be wary of how they allow vehicles with Federal Government number plates into their premises. A circular from the Defence Headquarters, signed by a two star-general, entitled: “Boko Haram plans to penetrate targeted Federal Government establishments,” disclosed that intelligence report had revealed that Boko Haram was planning to fix Federal Government number plates on their vehicles to facilitate penetration of government establishments by its fighters on bombing mission. The report also revealed that the sect had commenced the procurement of used gas cylinders, airconditioners, compressors of refrigerators and metal scraps for the manufacture of Improvised Explosive Derices (IEDs). Nigerian Tribune gathered that the military authorities have consequently warned against hurried checking of cars with Federal Government number plates by security operatives. It directed security operatives to go further by checking the engines of vehicles and other parts. Furthermore, they warned that extra vigilance should be maintained in checking all vehicles with military number plates or Federal Government number entering military establishments. Following these new directives, security has been beefed up at the Defence Headquarters complex known as the “Boat House” and the Ministry of Defence headquarters also, called “Ship House.” Also, all military establishments around the country have been directed to adopt similar security measures in their locations. Search for sect members Meanwhile, undercover security agents, on Monday, intensified their search for suspected Boko Haram members alleged to have arrived in Warri, Delta State, on Sunday. Plain-clothes policemen and operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) were seen at areas usually congregated by the Hausas. Nigerian Tribune sighted the security operatives at Hausa Quarters on the Warri-Sapele road, Ugbuwangwe, on the Nigerian Port Authority (NPA) Expressway and Ram market on the Effurun- Sapele road. Security agents were, on Sunday, put on the red alert in Warri, Warri South Local Government Area, following a report on the arrival of three vehicles loaded with some suspected members of the Boko Haram members. A highly placed source disclosed to Nigerian Tribune, on Monday that unlike other security agencies, operatives of the SSS were not taking the matter lightly, as they were combing everywhere to verify the truth or otherwise of the report. “The SSS people are not taking the information with levity. They are combing everywhere to ensure that there is no threat to the people and facilities in the oil-rich town. The Joint Task Force (JTF) is also working towards verifying the information,” he said. Coordinator, Joint Media Campaign Centre of Joint Task Force (JTF), Lieutenant-Colonel Anthony Antigha, said the special security outfit was liaising with other sister security agencies in the state to verify the reported arrival of the suspected Boko Haram members. He, however, said the report might have emanated from the usual arrival of vehicles bringing in goods from some northern states to Warri, which had been on for a long time. “Let it not be that it is one of the vehicles that usually bring goods from the North that generated the report, but we are trying to authenticate it by reaching out to sister security agencies,” he said. Apparently allaying the fear of residents of Warri and environs, Lieutenant-Colonel Antigha said the JTF had always maintained a high security alert and that was responsible for the tight security not only around oil installations in the Niger Delta but also in other states because of the recent security concerns in the country. http://tribune.com.ng/index.php/front-page-news/28462-boko-haram-plans-to-use-govt-number-plates-military-alerts-to-plans-to-bomb-govt-offices-security-men-search-for-sect-members-in-warri |
"Intimidated!" Lol! The man should simply go to court to answer the charge. The rule of law is only intimidating to criminals. In fact there is nothing more out of place and damaging to a man of Tinubu's standing as the leader of a political party than insinuating that the law is there to intimidate the innocent. We are not in the jungle, please sir, go quietly to answer the charges in court. It is for the judge to pronounce the accused guilty or not guilty, not the pages of newspapers, town criers or fevered hoards in the village square. |
Pidgin English should be Nigeria's only official language. The choice of language for learning and communicating can greatly affect a nations economic and developmental standing. Most Nigerians can express themselves more clearly and naturally in Pidgin English than in Queens English, this is because its structure is very similar to our mother tongues. It is proven science that learning in ones mother tongue produces quantifiably better results than learning in a foreign tongue. If we are serious about development, we would look to standardise and adopt Pidgin English as our national tongue. |
Lol! Boko haram in Warri! That will be their biggest ever mistake, because Warri man no de warn you before you hear GBOA! ![]() Sudden and deadly. |
For those saying the police need to be revamped, that process is already moving forward with great speed. It is a 6 year project and its benefits will take time to filter through to society, but they certainly will. Thousands of police officers have gone on community relations, anti-terrorism courses and latest IT tech training. The police is morphing into a modern force, but its not an overnight job. The train is beginning to move in the direction of the people wishes at last. My biggest prayer is to see the last of those peppersouping, N20 collecting, "accidentally discharging" fools that run and scatter when faced with their real call of duty (boko haram is one such). |
IMHO, we need some mini nuclear plants for each town (more like one per state, considering our low rate of consumption). They don't cost much either. Each state should be able to pay for one, or maybe get one on loan from the FG. |
Its Fresh Air!! For those talking about rains, thats so outdated. We get the bulk of our electricity from gas fired turbines and the govt has fixed most of the broken down ones, extracted new gas supplies (past govts sold ALL of our gas for 16 years) and is building new ones. Forget about rain, it just doesn't apply these days, all increases in generation are genuine. No mago mago. |
IMHO, it is time to set the FBI on these people hairy arses. Its beginning to seem like each time there is max heat on the boko haram issue, a few elite "apologise." If you ask me, they might not be making apologies, but actually sending coded messages in broad daylight. |
Boko Haram protesting social injustice, says Yuguda On September 20, 2011 · In News , BY OLA AJAYI IBADAN- Governor of Bauchi State, Mallam Isa Yuguda has taken his respect for the Jama’atu Ahlussunnah lidda’awati wal sect popularly known as Boko Haram to another level saying there is a need for dialogue with the sect who he described as a pressure group protesting social injustice. He said this in Ibadan where he donated N10million to Oyo State Government to ameliorate effects of the recent flood disaster on the victims. Boko Haram as a social problem According to him, “Boko Haram is a social problem that requires dialogue and at the same time, the government should tighten up security against those that are criminally minded. In doing this, those that are criminally minded will be treated as criminals. We will criminalise those that are criminals and rehabilitate those that are merely agitating for social justice by creating jobs for them. “All these killings of policemen, bombing of police stations and shooting of politicians, and so on, are beyond offshoots of religious fanaticism like the Maitatsine of the past.” The governor in an earlier reaction to statements by the radical Islamic sect that it would hunt him down, publicly appologised for any rights violations suffered during the military crackdown on its leaders in 2009. Apologises to Boko Harm “I apologise to the members of Jama’atu Ahlussunnah lidda’awati wal Jihad for perceived injustices caused them as they have the full rights to be protected by the law,” Yuguda said in a statement then. “I hope this will further the healing of the trauma on Jama’atu Ahlussunnah, and open the door to meaningful dialogue that will end hostilities and usher peace for which the religion of Islam is all about,” he was quoted as saying. Boko Haram like other presure groups During his visit yesterday, the governor said; The Boko Haram, were like other pressure groups such as the paramilitary arms of political parties or the youth organisations like the Niger Delta militants in the South South; the Odua People’s Congress, OPC in the South West and the Arewa Youth Vanguard in the North. “They seem to be protesting against social injustice notably mass unemployment. With the army of unemployed youths that we have in the country, we should be able to know that an idle mind is a devils workshop.” While commiserating with the State Governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, and the people of the state, the visiting governor advised the State Government to work together with the Federal Government to dredge the channels of all the major rivers in Ibadan city. This, he said, would prevent re-occurrence of the flood in the state. Responding, Senator Ajimobi said was the first Governor from other state to formally visit him over the recent flood incident, aside of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/09/boko-haram-protesting-social-injustice-says-yuguda/ |
. . .That the country split. A ferocious two day war followed which led to a terrifying and total defeat of boko haram and its supporters. . . A very high electric fence was built along the border. . . .And they all lived happily ever after! ![]() |
PRESIDENTIAL POLL: CPC loses faith in Appeal Court, writes foreign embassies On September 20, 2011 · In News , BY JIDE AJANI ABUJA—Fresh indications emerged, yesterday, that Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, is set to follow its challenge of President Goodluck Jonathan’s election victory to the Supreme Court if need be, Vanguard can reveal. The party also said it does not expect to get justice from the Court of Appeal in the face of the reconstitution of the panel hearing its petition. To this end, the party plans to fight on all fronts as it is set to write letters to embassies intimating them of the latest development regarding its petition, alleging that the judiciary was being manipulated against it. Also, a suggestion that the leadership of the party should send a delegation to prevail on former head of state and presidential candidate of the party in the 2011 election, General Muhammadu Buhari, rtd, to seek re-election for the presidency again in 2015, was stood down. General Buhari had vowed never to seek elective office again after he lost to Jonathan. In addition, it was discovered that leaders of the party embarked on a nationwide reconciliation of its members in the wake of the internal frictions it experienced in the wake of the party’s primaries in some states – the committees which went round the six geo-political zones in the country is expected to turn in its report. These were part of discussions at CPC’s national secretariat in Abuja, Tuesday. In attendance at the meeting, which held at the party’s national chairman’s office were: lPrince Tony Momoh- CPC National Chairman; lMustapha Saliu- Deputy National Chairman; lAbubakar Maikudi – Youth Leader; lSadia Farouk Mohammed, – National Treasurer; lAlhaji Gambo Ahmed ; lAlhaji Gamuba Ghadi; lBuba Galadima. A popular former minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, was also in attendance. Vanguard learnt that “CPC has resolved to follow its litigation on the 2011 Presidential election Petitions before the Appeal Court Tribunal to its logical conclusion, even if it takes the party to the Supreme Court. He said contrary to insinuations in some sections of the media that the party is withdrawing the case from court, the party re-affirmed its position to sustain the case to its logical conclusion. This position was approved by the participants. Speaking on the issue of the political and reconciliation Committees that toured the six (6) geo-political zones, it was resolved “that members of the Committees should endeavour to turn in their reports to the National Officials of the Party”. The CPC also resolved “hat at any public Conference that the Party would be participating, the Party should raise the issue of the recent changes of Judges handling the 2011 Presidential election Petitions at the Appeal Court. He added that a letter should also be written to all foreign Embassies in the Country intimating them of how the Judiciary is being manipulated; and that arising from this development, the CPC is not expecting any favourable verdict on the Petition. He re-iterated that the Party should write the Embassies detailing to them how the Judiciary has been used, as well as the falling state of insecurity in the Country, and that other issues of national importance should equally be included in the letter” One of those in attendance at the meeting said that “if not for the suspension of Isa Ayo SALAMI (Justice) by the National Judicial Commission (NJC), and Mr. President, judgement on the Presidential election Petitions, would have been delivered on 19th September, 2011, which he believed would (have been) against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). http://www.vanguardngr.com/2011/09/presidential-poll-cpc-loses-faith-in-appeal-court-writes-foreign-embassies/ |

dayokanu:When people notice that all you do is go personal 100% of the time, they will begin to wonder about your capacity. Please keep to the topic, thank you. |
This is very welcome and encouraging. Every step takes us closer to our destination. |
Lol! It seems the $2.3billion loot is already judging him! |
Pukkah:Rochas has proven himself over and over with his public spiritedness. So many poor people have been given empowered by him. Nigeria needs someone like that at the top much more than we need an administrator, because we live in a wicked society that needs to learn kindness, self pride and self appreciation before any progress can be made. We need someone with the heart to deliver, but who can mingle freely with the people like Rochas can; he is a peoples man, while Fashola is aloof. We need societal healers. I'll also take Akpabio over Fashola anyday, because he has performed wonders, is very intelligent and is hard as nails (if administrative abilities are the key). |
Why does this Eko Ile creature jump into every thread to fight? Is there no happiness in his life? I find his attitude quite worrying. How can anybody be so anti-social and nasty? Dude, humans no de stay where you de live? Please spare us o! We are scared. |
Aye are people that can connect to NEPA when there is no light. They can do many wonderful things! The other day, one landed on someone's house while on a routine "flight" from obubra to Lagos bearing gifts of leprosy for a sorry soul. She was arrested by our vigilant police who have a way of efficiently trapping errant aye's. Just last week, one that had turned into a goat after being rumbled while stealing a car was arrested by the police. That goat is now in custody and is said to be answering police questions. https://www.americanpartsdepot.com/images/GoatBraces.jpg That goat was arrested for armed robbery! ![]() |
^ Aregbesola just confirmed in black and white that he is 100% involved in Lagos state politics and you're here arguing. Not less than 10 politicians from Lagos were waiting for his attention, but it seems there were NONE from Osun, his own sate. The RASCAL, Aregbesola is Nigeria's most useless governor and a true pretender. |
^ That guy is excellent on his own, but he will drag that frog-like thief called Tinubu anywhere he goes. |

If d guy na naija, dem for no catch am like that. Naija guy no go run come still stay for Lagos where NDLEA activities are well on ground. I suspect his not being able to speak Yoruba at point of suspicion must have led NDLEA to dig deeper to now find that he is originally "Kindrek Dion Lee".
Most Jamaicans look pretty much like your average West African, they only dress differently. That guy is one of us, a misrepresentative shon of the shoil. |
I picked Rochas, because he has proven to be a man that cares for the deprived and downtrodden. |
adamabdul:Yes, Ali Modu Sheriff was called in by SSS earlier this year concerning boko haram. That man must be locked up soonest, I blame the SSS for letting him out again. |
Ola one:Dude, there's just one Beaf. . . .Yeah. one truth speaking, eye popping, devil freaking, logic breathing Beaf. I frighten the pants of liars, break their tiny legs and crumble their puny minds with blazing intellectual weaponry extraordinaire. ![]() Lol! moHot:Yeah, there's the Classic (old style) and the Metro (touch screen computer technology, gee whizz stuff). Here's a screenshot of Windows 8 (from wikipedia) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Windows_8_pre-release_at_D9_conference.png Nice. The greatest early indication about Windows 8 is that unlike Vista, it can run on machines without DX9 WDDM 1.0 graphics cards and doesn't have the hard disk size and graphics memory restrictions. I downloaded it a couple of days ago, I'll give it a whirl as soon as I clear the projects on the target machine. . . Good or bad, I can't wait! ![]() |
If Tinubu turns out to be linked to boko haram in any way, it would mark a new low in Nigeria's politics. I pray he isn't. |
