Hw can u fix d dollar rate? How? U fix at N500, pple demand for say $100M/ day but u have just $20M/day.. hw do u manage that--- u start to ballot? U ban 43 items? Pple that don't need it but have CBN access then round-trip d $.
But if the rate goes to N1,000, demand falls to $40M but your supply is still $20M-- still a problem.
So it further goes to N1,500, demand possibly comes down to $20M which is then equal to your supply.. This is how the FX market works... pegging and all that is not economics-- it is balloting and FDI won't come that way. |

Why do u think it's not your prayers that is being answered albeit coinciding with d arrival of d beloved lady? Ask & it shall be given unto you! So you prayed, God answered-- period... not much to do woth the lady except she preached to you. Carcholce: Please if you are not married, I don’t need your comment. If you are a single father, don’t comment either, if you are a divorcee, please save your strength. Only a happily married man should comment.
I have a question to ask, and I need a very good answer,
What qualities made you pick the woman you are married to?
Why I asked this question is, I used to think you must look out for your preferred qualities in a woman to qualify her for marriage.
Is it just the qualities or the impact those qualities are having on you?
I have been seeing a woman for some months now. I must confess that since I met her, the urge to fornicate has completely disappeared. I used to be a serial womanizer and fornicator. Everything is changing at a very fast rate and for the first time since I have been praying and fasting for changes in this regard, I am very much satisfied with my new found will power.
Is this one of the signs of the qualities a woman possesses or am I getting matured or etc etc?
But The idea of me getting matured is flawed because even married men young and old get married and still cheat with numerous women.
Sorry for the many questions! I just need answers to help me understand why I have started ignoring other women advances and sex invite. This is unlike me but don’t get it wrong, it’s my number one prayer being answered. |

Kobojunkie: But do many of those kids abandon their upbringing when they turn adults or not?
I guess what I should ask is does the country need well-behaved kids or well-behaved adults? Almost 1 in 100 americans are in jail! Compare to 1 in 3000 Nigerians (and a lot are awaiting trial, or cannot pay little fines)-- which set of adults are better behaved? Now, this brings us to corruption & d system.. remove d checks & balance system, the westerners will be very corrupt. But they see billionaires, former governors in jail for corruption, so they comport themselves as much as they can. U can see that Nigerians that would disobey d law here will go over there and ọbẹ̀y d law nicely. |

Here in Nigeria Rich people they have sense they don't cane their children in school, but because of poverty you refused to grow hup Anyway they are your kids, FEEL FREE. Are u joking? And hope you are seeing what the children are becoming and what is happening to the society as a whole Kobojunkie: The vast majority are religious yet the vast majority are equally corrupt and racist. Yet you think this is somehow disconnected from their upbringing?
2. If 20 children were raised according to this "good" upbringing template of yours and all 20 children saw fit to abandon that template when they become adults, how do you still resolve that the upbringing was a "good" one even with the 20 who you tested it on found it was not good enough to hold on to and even worse not worth passing on to their own kids? |
Family › Re: About the teacher that was flogged to death. by being(m): 9:12pm On Oct 20, 2023 |
1. Gud question Unfortunately that's exactly what happened to Nigerian adults in the IBB & Abacha era.. pressure of a poor economy and bad examples of govt made many who were never corrupt b4 to tilt and d spiral continued from der. 2. Your training, education is your real inheritance from your parents. Parents must still train... it is left for the grown child to make use of the training. It is much worse to not even train at all. Kobojunkie: So, the senses of the vast majority tell them to completely abandon their previous training then.... I mean that seems to be what keeps happening a lot in Nigeria as the people, from young to old, are generally as corrupt as they come.
2. So people are raised well until they grow up and are no longer raised well? Then what real value was their upbringing? |

GboyegaD: The corruption/tribalism/nepotism in the Nigerian society started from when? Oga, all I can say is that we try to push the blame too much like the way you just did by blaming the ideologies of the West. Of course nobody or generation is perfect..tribalism was probably more in d 70s than now. But unruly behaviour, disrespect and other vices, that's far more nowadays |
Family › Re: About the teacher that was flogged to death. by being(m): 8:33pm On Oct 20, 2023 |
You can be trained in a particular way and deviate from it based on ur own reasons... Like you can be trained to wake everyday at 5am to wash your clothes & grow up to decide that you can use a washing machine instead..but then if u ever feel u need to switch back to washing at 5am, it's in u. And that's what child training and discipline is about-- to INSTILL it in him-- at a time when he has little or no sense. When he grows to be matured, his senses should tell him to continue in that way.. OR some things/events could lead him otherwise. So pple are raised well, they on their own decide to drop d bar due to some woke ideologies they got from the West! GboyegaD: On this one, I had no other option than quote you to tell you that for me, you are spot on.
Our people try to pass blame and usually forget that they are part of the problem. People abuse parents of this generation as though they were not raised by some parents in the older generation. We all put in less effort to attend to our issues while waiting for some miracle to do that which we failed to do. |

Kobojunkie: So, children in other parts of the world who never experienced this caning are not trained? Do you actually believe that only African kids who are subjected to these caning rituals are properly trained while the billions that are not are not trained at all? . Who are the billions-- d asians beat their kids ... D westerners that don't- u can see d unruliness of their kids and even adults atimes Caning a child without abuse has zero negative effect on d child... so what exactly is the issue u pple have with d cane that did u a lot of good? |

LikeAking: That’s one of the reason why flogging was abolished. Teachers are abusing it, proprietors are abusing and above all it doesn’t add any value to the child or the society as evident in Nigeria.. Yes 1 in 100 cases, there is abuse- doesn't mean u throw away the baby with d bath water.. No, rather, u try and put checks and balances around it. Otherwise, u are staring at d society mimicking d british society where teenagers constitute sọ much of a nuisance to d society.. They pamper children and then in their teenage years start throwing them to Juvi. which d teenagers now even see as a barge of honor.. Just imagine that! |

LikeAking: So U support flogging of children in this modern world?
Very bad…
A teacher has no right or flog any student.. Hw then should d child be disciplined? By grounding or what? Caning is one of the most effective ways of calling an under 12yo to order. All d caning u received, have u died ? I don't know where these generation of African parents that confuse love to mean lack of discipline came from!! If u love ur child u will discipline your child- mothers esp need to know ds! The earlier u do d work of discipline, d easier it is. |

Some teachers are bullies. This very wrong mindset.. A Yoruba saying says training a child takes d whole village.. hw will your child be discipline without caning? The caning u received -- has it killed u? Caning is one of d best forms of calling an under 10yo to order. Grounding and all of that are not as effective.. |

The reason for lifting the ban is so that official & parrallel rates should converge. If u were economically aware in 2015, u would understand that the banning of fx for the 43 items was what gave rise to the wide gap btw official & black market which led to round tripping by senior bankers & politicians. It also led to low FDI as foreign investors felt their dollars was being undervalued when exchanged at official rate. So, they held on to their dollars.
It was meant to stop importation of locally produceable goods but it ended up being very counterproductive! The local production also did not increase because of structural reasons.
