We are doing well, each of us earns almost 85k per year, I'm in IT, she's in healthcare, and we both work full-time.
I am a Christian, I have never defaulted in tithing in the last 5 years. Not once.
She says tithing is my personal 'problem'. She uses the word problem specifically. She doesn't pay tithe.

This is the present sharing agreement, I bring 70%, she brings 30%.
This 70-30 covers the cost of living, groceries, nursery fees for our baby, and other bills.
before this sharing, we both bring equal amounts for the house mortgage and the car.
When her family needs money, she insists that we share it 50-50 based on her culture.

For my cybersecurity certifications, I pay from my less than 20%, but I have never complained. God has been faithful. My belief is that my tithe covers for the family.

The good news is that I won a large sum of money from my savings, tens of thousands of dollars. I intend to pay tithe, and channel most of the money to my professional development so I can earn more. I don't think I deserve that money I won, that money was from God.
She thinks otherwise.

I think you should also get her to move her bulk funds into a secure savings account without a debit card attached to it and only leave funds she needs for daily transactions on the current account, if she hasn't already.

I agree, I just didn't want to delving into the controversy of what taxation is in Nigeria but you are right ...its a more than one trillion naira sector

Government make a lot of money from taxes, do you know how much Nigeria customs generates annually or what the government collect as value added tax.

Yet they still go borrowing and printing money despite the billions they realize from internally generated revenue.

The government deliberately or ignorantly destroyed the economy

Selling forex gained from exportation of oil, issuing of bonds and treasury bills, lending from banks etc are among ways through which government raises funds to fund its operations. Tax is not fully grounded for now hence why I didn't mention it. Now with dwindling revenue from oil sale and foreign reserve level, treasury bills and bonds would've been the best option but they shut out the retail sector and concentrated on wholesale ...this ensured that very few people with N50m and above could participate in this (the process going through banks and brokers are convoluted).

The only other option left was the printing of more naira to fund the government's operations which though not bad was not done ethically. Now we have more naira in circulation than over foreign reserve converted to Naira. This means that the clamour for dollar no matter the rate would continue.

Solution lies in increase interest rates to encourage savings or drastic measures like re-designing the naira and curtail the amount in circulation which the former CBN governor tried to do just before the elections and failed.
