He added, “there is serious problem. We have been complaining that Kano needs more than one testing centre, right from the beginning of this (pandemic).”

BBC: “If we understand you, there is problem. Are you saying you are not getting any support from federal government agencies on the fight against COVID-19?”

Ganduje: “Sincerely speaking, we are not getting deserved attention. If these equipment (testing centre) are under our control, we will do our best to make sure it works properly. But we are not getting the needed support and cooperation from from Presidential Task Force on COVID-19.”

Meanwhile, the minister of health, Osagie Ehanire, on Sunday said, the COVID-19 testing centre in Kano will resume operations on Monday.

The minister said this when he featured on Channels television’s Sunday Politics

He equally said a delegation will be sent to the state “to thoroughly investigate the circumstances surrounding some mysterious deaths in the state”.

Was listening to a phone in progam on Nigeria Info FM 99.3 FM and it was hilarious listening to the people on the proposed broadcast. People need to understand the difference between a live presidential chat/briefing and a broadcast.

A broadcast is pre-recorded so that the contents are well articulated and encompassing while a presidential chat/briefing includes fielding questions from those present. Many may have watched Trump doing this and feel Buhari should do the same but its not an easy thing to organize especially with the present lockdown.

Besides that, of what use would having a live broadcast be when there would be no fielding of questions? All that is needed is for the president to read out the speech and tell us what he has in mind. He can as well decide to release a statement without having to go before a camera but will people believe he's alive?

We sometime need to cut the slack and allow it be .....most presidents do pre-recorded broadcasts for example the Queen's Christmas, Easter and other broadcasts are pre-recorded.
