Kai! Can somebody tell me why all those people at the ministry of works involved in this fraud should not be executed?

Corruption will forever remain endemic in this country as long as corrupt people who steal our common wealth are not killed.

Buhari once said if we don't kill corruption corruption will kill us but we cannot kill corruption until we kill corrupt people.

I recommend dead sentence for those who steal our common wealth.

Unfortunately the court can only pass its judgement based solely on what the law actually says compared with the evidence brought before it. The law does not pass judgement based on your beliefs or conviction or opinion.

Despite any perceived election malpractice or rigging or irregularities, can you proof with evidence that you actually won the election? It is the evidence the court will rely on not your belief or conviction!

Not surprised though. Not because I don't trust the judiciary, just that it was impossible for Obi to prove he actually won the election.

This is obvious if you consider the fact that Obi only won overwhelmingly in the southeast. The influence of APC governors who happened to be the majority in the north was bound to favour Tinubu who also won overwhelmingly in the southwest.

Obi didn't get as much vote in the south south region as he ought to have got due to the combined influence of PDP and APC governors in the region who happened to rig the election in favour of their preferred party's candidate.

This is why since the inception of this court case I have always said I am not optimistic about Obi's victory at the tribunal.

Non-military actions like severe merciless sanctions seems to be the best option against this Niger junta. Seeing that many Niger citizens are in support of the coup would make any attempt to employ military force to remove the junta too expensive and counterproductive.

There should be no excuse or justification for coup. Say no to coup. Coup plotters may bring temporary relief but their long term impact is usually catastrophic

I have this strange feeling that the Tompolo guy who said their own side of the story is the one saying the truth here. I might be wrong though.

I was about saying it's crazy for Nigerian government to give known criminals a contract of protecting oil pipeline but then it occurred to me that MOST Nigerians have criminal tendencies anyway. Even if you put a pastor or prophet or any member of the armed forces in charge of the oil pipeline they will still end up engaging in corrupt activities. At least, Tompolo's security company have been producing some result but they can't be totally trusted.

How can you appoint both the finance minister and CBN Governor from your tribe? If one is a yoruba person the other one suppose to be from another tribe or region. Just look at all the key sectors of the economy that make decision that affect all Nigerians, they are all controlled by yorubas: is it Nigerian Custom? Immigration, Nimc, CBN, Police, Army, judiciary, you name it.

And he has made sure most of the critical and powerful ministries are either controlled by the yorubas and the remaining ones by politicians who played key roles in his election whether they are fit for the job or not! Shie, Tinubu dey whine us ni.

If that man is lucky to escape being removed by the court I just don't know how he will win the second term unless Nigeria is irredeemable

Why do federal government keep paying money meant for the local governments to state governors instead of paying directly to the local governments when we all know state governors all over the country tend to sit on those funds? How come no body is dragging this matter up to the supreme court?

2) who authorised and approved the payment? Was it Akpabio himself or the President or some other officials?

From the comments of some of the senators I could see that that was not the first time the senators have been enjoying that allowance. I think Akpabio was just being careless in his utterances.

So IF it's true that the senators have been receiving that type of allowance every year and it was not even Akpabio that approved the payment, the call for Akpabio to resign can only make sense if all the senators are asked to resign too.

The woman is most likely being sponsored by envious politicians who have been eying the senate presidency seat.
