In a country of over 200 million people, it's like: 1) we don't have a seasoned electrical engineer in the country so our president had to appoint a banker as a Minister of Power 2) We don't have a qualified Mineralogist or even a Chemist or geologist in the country so our president had to appoint a journalist as a Minister of Solid Mineral Development 3) We don't have a seasoned aviation expert or aeronautical engineer in Nigeria so a lawyer had to appointed a Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development. 4) a 63 year old grand pa is a Minister of Youth obviously because there is no younger person in Nigeria. By the way, what exactly will be the job of the so called Minister of Youth? Combining Youth and Sports Development under one Ministry seems to make more sense. Why separate them.. |
As a farmer, I guess his job would be to cultivate and sow the seeds of greatness and excellence into our youths so that Nigeria would reap the fruit of success, glory and excellence in all sporting activities. Just my guess though |
So after all this years this one is still blaming colonialism for Africa's backwardness and problems. African countries that could not manage their oil wealth and other natural resources very well you think $5 trillion or any amount of money for that matter will magically solve their problems? Other races that were equally colonised have moved on and are doing well, Africa should emulate them and stop giving excuses. |
I feel like slapping that aboki honestly. Dozis: |
Somebody's prayer was being answered |
HELL NO! We would rather increase the sanction sir until the junta has no choice than to surrender! You don't handle coup plotters with kid's gloves. We can't beg them to come for dialogue or negotiation! A clear message must be passed that coup is an abomination and can't be tolerated any more in Africa |
Why are people still calling the lady queen? She stopped being a queen the moment she descended to the level of portable. |
Timoleon:Oh, great! |
Congrats to him. Thank God it's a boy this time around. I wanted to scream 'must they always be girls' before I come see say na boy! A good son of his father. |
YoungLionken:Honestly, all these indomie kids with their indomie brain and indomie way of reasoning can be so annoying in their stupid and illogical way of reasoning. They mislead and fool themselves and other idiots like them on many issues, yet they believe they are smart and intelligent. These indomie kids are the once who voted overwhelmingly for Buhari despite all the warning from older sensible folks who experienced Buhari's military government. Under Tinubu, some indomie kids love Tinubu blindly, while some of them hate him equally blindly. Indomie kids who hate Tinubu blindly tend to blindly hate everything Tinubu does, whether good or bad. If Tinubu is against coup in Niger indomie kids are in support of the coup and are even praying for similar thing in Nigeria! Indomie kids don't understand that the worse democratic government is still far better than the most benevolent military dictatorship. SAY NO TO MILITARY COUP. Everything must be done to discourage military coup in Africa. |
LoL. It's either the story is fake or the so called money doublers were extremely dumb and stupid. No smart person would allow you leave with that money knowing fully well you may not come back no matter how 'dumb' you acted |
Davido did the right thing. The guy could have been a suicide bomber in disguise. It's good to be security conscious all the time. |
Nice development. Everything must be done to discourage coup in Africa |
Dear indigbos in Niger, it's nice to know you love your country of residence and want peace to reign. But unfortunately, the issue at stake here is far beyond your personal interest. It is democracy in Africa that is at stake here. A wise man once said that the worse form of democracy is still far better than even the most benevolent military dictatorship. And he was right. Democracy is the only system of government that can protect your right and dignity as a human being. It is only in a democracy that you can experience genuine freedom. Only democracy can guarantee true stability and progress. No circumstance must be allowed to justify military coup. If we allow that, any power hungry military officer can cook up any excuse any time and use it as a reason for coup thereby causing serious instability in the land that will in turn hamper economic progress of the nation. The coup in Niger must not be allowed to stand. I am with Tinubu, ECOWAS and all lovers of democracy on this. Allowing it to stand would be an encouragement to other would-be coup plotters in African and that will drag Africa many years backward |
These people are mad. Completely mad! Are they expecting Nigerian government, ECOWAS, and international community generally, to go on their knees and start begging the Niger's military junta to handover power they seized to the elected president? What is the meaning of all this nonsense 'dialogue' they keep advocating when it's very clear that the military junta is not even interested in the so called dialogue considering the manner they keep shunning ECOWAS representatives who go there for dialogue. For those of you saying Nigerian government should mind its business, you are missing the point here: Nigeria, ECOWAS and international community are trying to do everything possible to discourage coup and the more any country's. Military are allowed to forcefully take over the government and get away with it the more other nations' military would also start dreaming of plotting to overthrow their own government via coup To me, whatever needs to be done to discourage coup must be done! |
Bvlgari:This idea that people should bring children into this world just to come and look after them at old age, I hate such idea with passion! Why should you be that selfish and self-centred and what makes you think the child's mission in life would be to take care of you at old age? My own philosophy is that people should only consider bringing another human being into this world only if the following conditions are met: 1) You are mentally, and emotionally sound and stable. 2) You have more than enough resources to take care of yourself and more than enough to take care of another human being. 3) Having met the above two conditions and you get to a point where you need someone you can LOVE UNCONDITIONALLY that is only the time you should consider brining a child into the world. Otherwise the child will only end up being a liability to the society: a yahoo boy, kidnapper, terrorist, unknown gunmen, armed robbers, touts, bandits, all these calibre of people are products of irresponsible parents who wanted a child that will take care of them at old age. |
Afford you for what exactly? What is your value to a Nigerian man? |
This is getting interesting. AU and ECOWAS need to take a very severe action against this 3 countries otherwise we might as well say bye bye to democracy in Africa! |
Didi2d:The real question should be: how Mercy take know say the guy no clean him nyansh? Shie she open the guy nyansh and look inside? Weting carry am go the guy nyansh and weting she find inside? |
Make daddy no vex. Out of over excitement she temporarily forgot she is a lady. Thank God she didn't forget to wear bra before coming out! |
Allisgud:You know people underestimate the power of the environment in moulding people's behaviour and character. Our 'low ranking' police officers behave the way they do because of the environment they find themselves, the calibre of people they come in contact with on daily basis and of course, the quality of training they received. We definitely have a long way to go as a country. |
Impressive. This Ahmed Musa, I hope he has been given a national honour o. Because he truly deserve a national honour. What this guy has done for his people I doubt if there is any politician or any of the billionaire businessmen in his state that can do them. May God continue to prosper him. |
This is a very serious matter. There should be live imprisonment for any student who assault his/her teacher especially if the assault is as a result of the student being penalized by the teacher for offence he or she committed. There should also be live imprisonment for any parent who go to his/her child's school to assault a teacher who penalized his child who committed an offence. Live imprisonment is the only deterrent that can be effective in this case. We must be disciplined by fire by force. |
You are working for your monthly stipends bro. So, I sympathise with you! mainman7: |
oluwaseyi0:Floating of currency is only good if the nation is self-reliant, produces most of what it consumes and still has more than enough for export. For a country like Nigeria that imports every damned thing it consumes and exports very little, allowing its currency to float freely is a dangerous gamble. The challenge at this point is for Tinubu's government to quickly create enabling environment for businesses to thrive with special emphasis and incentives for businesses with export potential. |
BabaCommander:You have a point; but then, I believe the bill is absolutely necessary and one of the best bills we would ever have in this country. I believe organisations who pride themselves as being law-abiding will comply. Those who do not comply need to understand that they have broken the law and could be sued. Unless the person is way too old and obviously too frail for the particular job he or she is applying for, refusing to employ a person who is still physically and mentally fit for the job merely because of his age should be considered a crime against humanity. |

mowapa:Nigeria still has a long way to go. So atheists and those who just don't need religion to be close to God cannot be admitted. And this is supposed to be a university! |
Every year young. Happy birthday to her. This lady will remain energetic and full of life even up to 90 years |
I would rather prefer armed robbers and kidnappers be given amnesty rather than terrorists who are useless even to themselves being given the amnesty. The north should go and sit down. Niger Delta militants were fighting for justice to be done for their people whose environment and sources of livelihood were destroyed by oil companies operating in their region. Appeasing those militants was the only sensible thing Nigerian government could do. It's unreasonable and mischievous for north to expect similar treatment. |

Moniya4Real:@ the bolded: borrowing money to give to a girl because of some 'mind-blowing sex' she give you (which could actually be pure illusion by the way) mean say your own don finish kpata kpata. The good thing is that you finally ended the relationship. Young man, I will advise you to stay away from sex and avoid ladies as much as possible for the next 3 years. Use the next 3 years to purify your soul then get married if you are still single and care to marry. |
