Obiodunukwe: He is there because he is smart and wants to build relationships and political alliance.
You have to remember that not everyone thinks that Nigeria is a Zoo, not everyone is myopic like IPOB Youths
He is silently positioning himself as a Presidential Material by gaining the trust of politicians regardless of their ethnicity.
He is a smart man Nigerians are now much much wiser. They will NEVER vote anyone for president again who does not have visible, tangible achievements to show. If Rochas or any other governor wants to be president, they are best advised to focus on doing a remarkable job in their home state. All the connections in the world will not help any governor who presents himself for President and yet has nothing to show in terms of development in his home state |
Politics › Re: Goodluck Jonathan Made Nigeria World’s Largest Producer Of Cassava — Audu Ogbe by bjdon: 2:35pm On Apr 01, 2016 |
No No Mr Ogbeh!!
GEJ did nothing, he was useless, he was dumb, he was corrupt, his ministers did nothing, they were all corrupt....
Or so says ACP and their zombies.
Now let's check out somethings that occurred under this 'clueless' GEJ
Nigeria became the largest Economy in Africa
The Niara was relatively stable
There were Free and fair elections and when the PDP lost GEJ always congratulated the winner
There was never a time the total power output was 0 Mega Watts.
And of course Nigeria became the worlds largest Cassava producer.
If that is what we get from a 'clueless, 'corrupt' leader, compared to what we have now, then please, I beg may our next leader be as 'Clueless' and 'Corrupt' as GEJ!! |

Aufbauh: So far the Buhari anti graft war is commendable and should be supported by all. Sir ride on as no responsible and responsive government will disclose details of recovered loot before the public when the culprits will be made to face the full wrath of the law. It is prejudicial sir.
. In what way is it prejudicial? We are not saying the govt declares that Mr A returned X amount or Alhaji B returned Y amount, all we are saying is tell us exactly how much in total has been returned. If the govt can't even say that, then how can we trust that they are even saying the truth? |

I hope both 'Zombies' and 'Wailers' will learn from this CBN affair. The elite of BOTH parties are busy dividing Nigeria between themselves and setting up their kids to take over, while many of us continue to fight each other on their behalf. it's time for people to understand that the REAL divide in Nigeria is not between North and South, or between SE/SS and SW or between Christian and Muslim, it is between the Elites and the REST OF US. Only when power is taken from the elites will we see real change in this country. Till then they'll just keep playing the game of divide and rule to keep us busy attacking each other while they loot our common wealth. |
Politics › Re: Establishing National Airline Not A Priority Of My Government – Buhari by bjdon: 11:01am On Mar 16, 2016 |
kennydee05: He was answering to questions from Nigerian Community in Equatorial Guinea. Major reason is that many media houses in Nigeria don't ask issue based questions. Same also the opposition just like Fayose ranting.
Nigerians in diaspora seems to understand challenges facing Nigeria than Nigerians at home, hence they use President visit to ask serious national issue questions. I don't agree. Since he became president he has never put himself in a position where Nigerians can ask him questions. Has he done any Town Hall Style events? Has he done a Q and A session with relevant stake holders like labour, Students, Business Community etc..? The answer is NO in both cases. It's actually quite insulting to Nigerians to insinuate that they don't have the capacity to ask fact based questions. I can assure you that if the President made himself available Nigerians are more than able to interrogate him thoroughly. In conclusion, I think it's now quite clear why he avoided the Presidential debates! |

Why does this man only make announcements when he's out side the country? It seems like he's afraid to even go around Nigeria. Apart from the media event he did in December, I can't recall anytime he's really engaged with Nigerians within the country. |

isbish: The simple reason why PMB's picture is removed from the candidates posters is beyond the haters comprehension. You guys because of hatred and vile on the President have lost all your sane sense of reasoning. His images on the posters are removed because even bad candidates use the Presidents good aura, personality and popularity to get votes. Buhari is a gem and larger percentage of good Nigerians know that, hence, the reason why bad politicians use his image to sale themselves.
Haven't any of you seen other parties using Buhari's image to even get votes. I have seen in my Village a Labour party Chairmanship aspirant use Buhari's pics in his Poster. What has Buhari got to do with Labour party? I guess sensible people will now see the reason better. They aren't removing PMB's pics because he is unpopular as you guys want to portray it. His pics are removed for the above stated reason. Chi, Buhari will shit in this one's mouth and he'll call it bush meat! Zombie O Zombie!! |

amaechi1: Very unfortunate you spend your God's given time to write this rubbish. In the first place are the children not Nigerians? Scholarship and employment are they not part of capacity building? These children has dreams and if the will help them achieve their dreams and aspirations so be it.
On a final note I believe you are just been jealous and mischievous about the whole issue. Even in the united state and other part of western world, soldiers who lost their arms or any part of their body, receives compensation or their family members, either as scholarships or other incentives. I pray may you never be in ex- minister condition. The OP is quite correct and you my friend are the one who is wrong. Nobody is saying the family should not be compensated, by all means give the kids scholarships and even give monetary compensation to the family, as you correctly pointed out that is done commonly in the west, when soliders or other public frigures meet an early death. I am sure you'll agree that what is NOT DONE in the west is to just give a civil service job to anybody by diktat. Every civil service appointment in the developed world is obtained by going through the relevant recruitment process. It is the matter of the job an,d that matter ONLY that the OP is referring to, and on that point he is 100% correct. The civil service must not be the playground of politicians to give jobs to at their whim |

tuscani: WE HAVE DONE THE VOTING, PLEASE DO THE GOVERNING.
Madam please who are you addressing, your people in government or we the citizens ?
Yet again the citizens must be blamed ! Madam, I don't know how ready a nation can be for development, we voted out the last government for this government and you are here asking if we are ready for A B C D E.... The president told Al Jazeera that he is not in any hurry to fix the economy, when al jazeera reminded him the citizens are running out of patient, the president responded fiercely and visibly angry by asking what did the citizens do in the last 16 years, is it now that they want to be in hurry ?
All we ask is leadership by example, the first leakage is the round tripping happening in the banks. I am bringing my dollars home for investment, the banks changes it at 199 naira, when I need dollars to buy raw material the banks sells to me at 300 naira, why has the government has refused to block that leakage?
Secondly, how can you be asking if we are ready to confront those that mismanaged our wealth, we the citizen have done our own we voted them out , it's your turn to act madam. These people are not only in PDP, they form the nucleus of your party.
What financial discipline are you talking about, do you know how much Baba has spent travelling,? do you know how much is budgeted for feeding in Aso rock when Baba is being paid his salary ? Did you see all the leakages in the budget from the state house clinic to the generator room saga ? unfortunately in the interview granted Aljazeera days ago,Baba blamed the budget on saboteurs he said it was done by 60-70% of civil servant loyal to the last administration ... THIS GOVERNMENT NEVER TAKES RESPONSIBILITY, THIS IS GOVERNMENT OF BLAME Please act what you say.
We have done our voting, please you do the governing.! Every penny spent on your education was money well spent, you are credit to your parents my brother. I hope others will read and get sense from your words |

The red carpet is unnecessary, and i would expect these are the areas Buhari needs to cut the ostentation and waste attached to the office of the president. Anyone close to him should tell him that this event adds nothing to him but actually subtracts a lot from his personae. Bless you, this country needs more people like you who will call a spade a spade regardless of affiliations. |

One of the biggest problems we have in this country is our refusal to call a spade a spade. We will something bad happening and not call it out. We see the wrong thing and try to defend it, due to sentimental base reasoning based on tribe, religion, family etc.
When some of us criticized Buhari for not appointing ministers we were abused and people came out with brainless comments like 'Ministers are not important, What good did GEJ ministers do, blah, blah, blah..' Yet know we say the impact of the late appointment of ministers in the budget fiasco.
When we spoke out and said the new finance ministers is a lightweight and not up to the job we were attacked with comments like 'What good did Harvard educated Ngozi do' Well I think we only have to look at the economy now and and just 12 months ago to answer that question.
I happily concede that Buhari really wants the best for our country, but he's going about a lot of things the wrong way, and needs to be told this. If not the cabals of corruption will simply exploit the hardships that result from his mistakes, just like IBB did in 1985. |

Buhari is God's curse to Nigeria. Just in a period of 9 months things have gone South to the extent the President now travels to Saudi Arabia to pray for the nation.
Anyway, what do we know? Somehow someway we go survive am till 2019. At least some people eye don clear. That is exactly what I and my business partner have been saying. Just as in the 80's you'll start to see multinationals pulling out of Nigeria. The next will be the Airlines, their inability to remit back funds to their home countries and reduced traffic is really hitting their business. I would also not be surprised to see big retailers like Shoprite close shop(Remember what happend with Kingsway in the 80's) Unemployment up, prices up, economic activity down, and yet the president does not even have an economic adviser |
