Family › Re: Age 25 With 1 Million Naira & Living With My Parents: Buy Land Or Pack Out? by Bluffly: 11:47pm On Aug 20, 2020
CuteVally:
Good evening Nairalanders.

Please i need an advice on the next step i should take in life. I am a guy, 25 years of age and still living with my parents, though i am not jobless but recently my bank account just hit one million and 200 thousand naira.

So my parents are advising to buy a landed property in my home town that will take about 900 to 1 million naira. But the thing is that i am 25 and i feel at my age i should no longer be staying with my parents, so i want to rent a flat and furniture it to my taste, i feel it is time to move on, i need my freedom to finally face life like a man.

So my question is, should i purchase a landed property at 25 and continue living with my parents or pack out and start my Adult life. Note: i am not jobless".
I hope you have an ongoing business. Buying a land is good bit what is your purpose. To resell or build. Keep reinvesting till you can do anyhow.
Why rushing out of your fathers house

Romance › Re: My Fiance's Ex Is Fabricating Lies Against Me by Bluffly: 2:00am On Aug 19, 2020
juliabobly65:
Hello nairalanders, I need your opinions on this matter.

My boyfriend of 3 years who is now my fiancee (we are talking marriage already) is constantly talking to his ex girlfriend (who is now married).

They discuss all manner of things, ranging from how she misses him and wished she had waited for him.

Trouble started when he told her he was planning to settle down (I still wonder why he told her) ever since she's always coming up with pots of lies against me. She claims someone told her so many things about me.

She fabricating lies isn't my major concern because I know once something good is about to happen the devil comes in many ways than one to destroy it.

I've told my man all about my past life and everything in it, recently he accused me of withholding some information of my past. The ex girlfriend had a chat with and told him things I don't even know about.

Nairalanders this lady is married, why is she poke nosing into our affair?? If she loved him that much, why did she marry another man?? Why is my man giving her audiencehuh Is he still in love with herhuh I know she's obsessed about me. Her constant chats with him, makes him accuse me of things I've never done in my entire life.

I told him we should suspend the marriage until he's done with his investigation since he doesn't believe me cos he said if he finds out something I did in my past in the future and I didn't tell him it will be a problem.

Romance › Re: Do I Tell My American Patient He's Being Scammed By A Nigerian Romance Scammer? by Bluffly: 12:24am On Aug 14, 2020
ALEX182:
So I have this American patient who I recently came across. He's a fat dude who is like in his late 40s but has a very jolly and likeable character. I introduced myself and we got talking afterwards.

After a while of chitchat, he asked me where I was from. I told him to take a guess and he said said, you sound like you're Nigerian. I told him (regrettably) that I was Nigerian. He started smiling and told me that he had a Nigerian girlfriend and that we both had similar accents.

He then started telling me recent occurrences that had befallen his girlfriend in Nigeria. He said the lastest story was that she was in Abuja and as she was on her way to the airport in a taxi, the taxi had an accident and she was seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. He said that the hospital demanded money before treatment started and he had to hustle about $4000 and send to her in order for treatment to start.

He said that after a week of her being in the hospital, they wanted to discharge her despite her still being in pain. Because she had exhausted all the $4000 on treatment, he said the hospital had threatened to discharge her on the streets and he was trying to borrow more money to see if he could send it to her so they could continue with her treatments.

He furthermore told me that the girlfriend said that she was a Nigerian American citizen who was currently stuck in Nigeria due to her passport having expired and also due to Covid lockdown at airports in Nigeria. He said she had asked him for $300 to renew her US passport from American embassy in Nigeria.

Another thing that he told me was that just before covid struck, there was a similar pandemic which happened in Nigeria early this year and that his girlfriend had contracted the disease and he had to send her $2000 for treatment. Right now he said he's broke but is waiting for like $2000 disability check from the US government next week which he will send to her as soon as the money clears.

As he was telling me this tale, I was so angry with Nigerians and how they take advantage of people in love to scam them. I wanted to swear for the scammers angry

I'm at a dilemma here. Do I tell him that he's being scammed by Nigerians or do I continue to be professional and just ignore it. Because I don't want him to think I'm involved with it because these oyinbo people can turn everything on your head and accuse you that is your people in conjunction with you that are scamming him. They are that crazy.

The good part of me wants to help him but I'm hesitant that it may turn out bad for me. Please matured responses.

Did Cristiano improve Juventus in Europe??

You choose to mention Madrid situation without Cristiano.. But you intentionally neglect Ronaldo situation without Madrid!! Well done!!

Once again, Cristiano is a NOBODY as far as Barcelona situation is concerned!!
Go back to my first post which is just on Ronaldo exit as it affects Barca, Real and Laliga. That's a topic. So don't tell me what to choose. If you so decide to go otherwise start your independent post and don't force yourself down my throat.

These 2 teams have been changing coaches in the last 2 years!!

Cristiano is not relevant: infact Madrid won the La liga without him!!

Barcelona is having problem getting players that fit their system.. Cristiano is a Nobody as far as Barcelona situation is concerned!!

Cristiano moves only affect his own Ballon d'or career and weaken Juventus fighting spirit!!
Be critical. Madrid won Laliga, yes, but something change in their play. Look closely as this affected them in Europe.

Since the days of Messi, Barca plays around Messi and both duos want to always make a statement. Minus their competitiveness speaks a lot.

I hear you. Ronaldo is a nobody ba? We are on Barca Real and you are already widening to Juventus.

the move was needed....he asked for too much as such age and most importantly madrid felt dt he had passed his peak but let me ask...how does dt move affected barca quality??
There was a lot of brouhaha around Ronaldo and Messi which made them the clubs icon kind of and this comes with a lot of emotional attachment and a need to always prove a point of superiority which however is one of both clubs management yearnings.
Ronaldo's exit became less competitive for messi, truth be told. The whole ecstasy surrounding the Laliga dropped even here in the Nigeria's fan base.

barca vs Bayern is the match to watch and for Barcelona to win bayern is like falling the wall of Jericho again..
barca looks too ordinary going by yesterday, they have lost that fear factor that other clubs do have for them, bayern looks more on form and haven't lost any match since the restart of football..
barca only hope is that its in a neutral venue and its a one leg tie and with the magical messi on my team anything can happen..
i wish barca the best and feel we can qualify because barca knows how to play as underdogs and also bayern do fear barca and messi too, u can ask boateng and neur..
Ronaldo's move altered both Real and Barca's quality
