If the plane didnt explode until 20 or 30 mins after the crash, why didnt anyone exit via the emergency doors?
Anything could have happened to the passengers while they were going round in circles in the air, my heart usually skip anytime there was sudden loss of altitude. All of them might have fainted before the eventual crash. |
While we search for facts as to why this plane crashed a friend of mine who works in MMA2 told me moments after the crash that there were two versions of the crash story. One was released to the press and the other version, the truth I guess, was kept out. To add to this, the said plane did not explode on impact suggesting that the fuel tank must have been empty. The plane exploded like 30minutes after the crash. A retired aircraft inspector also told a friend on mine that the events that lead to the crash as described by witnesses suggest the tank of the plane was empty. The question on my mind is why will an aircraft run out of fuel for a flight that is less than one hour. That aside I have heard of a particular instance a couple of weeks back that a plane was refused landing because the first lady was airborne to the same airport. The truth will surely reveal itself, the holy book says the evil (anyone including the aircraft operators, government agencies etc)will have no peace! |
...until this is proven, which I very much doubt, this is nothing more than a thread in the jokes section or at best some drunken fishermen's comment. |
...accident investigation takes months sometimes even years to unravelled, I just hope that we will be able to follow through the painstaking investigations implement the findings and punish the culpable. On that note, I ask where are the reports of the Sosoliso and Belview plane crashes? |
iyaski: i hear that all these airplanes are moloeu.....in aero the other day...my uncle had to buy food air bound.....the hostest said he should wait that she had no change she will bring back the change.....lol.... IMAGINE BUYING FOOD ON VIRGIN.....from lagos to heathrow. You cannot compare these flights with the international ones who stay 5hours plus in the air. AERO is the cheapest airline I have travelled in, a return ticket for 2 Lagos to Abuja costs less than 60K. Why shouldn't they sell snacks to their passengers which is not even by force? Even the Lagos heathrow that you talk about sell things mid air just that it's not food items and they do not have to worry about change because you can pay with your credit card. |
If some people here cannot see that this is beyond wages only but a deliberate attempt by the government to stylishly break the contract she signed with the doctors then you are free to bring sick people to Oyo state, our governor brings qualified doctors to town every quater for one week. |
We need to be very objective no matter whose as.s is at stake. The same government of Fashola signed with paper and ink the salary in dispute about a year ago before the elections only to renege on its payment after they won the elections. Even if there was change in the leadership of the state, the new government is duty bound by the agreement reached by the previous administration since we all know that government is a continuum. Just imagine that the leadership of Lagos had changed from ACN to PDP after the agreement was signed and the PDP government refused to pay we would have been crying and shouting that the PDP government is bad. To add insult to injury, the doctors gave the government a notice of warning strike only to be served queries after the warning strike which eventually lead to the indefinite strike and the purported dismissal of the over 700 doctors. Let me also add that the state government must have seen that they were heading for disgrace at the industrial court as the salary in dispute was duly signed by state government. The recall of the doctors to me is a face saving attempt by the government to hide their inconsistencies. When issues like this happens especially issues that bothers on trust, the masses should be very objective. If a government can renege on a signed contract and agreement how much more will they not turn their backs on the same masses who they only promised to bring dividends of democracy by words of month. The issue in Lagos is not about wage or salary increase, it is about a government deceiving the people for political gains which was the last elections in this case. |
I can still remember the songs...O ni luck o...goodluck to me, goodluck to you, goodluck Nigeria e e e...neighbour to neighbour for transformation...etc luck can only make you a president, it won't govern for you! |
...let us access him after another university is renamed...LOL |
Why did the Yorubas vote for MKO in 1993 even though they didn't like him...the answer is simple, the same reason Nigerians voted for GEJ and the next generation will point to us straight in the face our foolishness. I am indifferent about the name change, only that the school's senate and other leadership organs were not informed bearing in mind also that that school's VC passed on about a month or so ago. |
LOL...I can remember back in those days at NANS Zone D meetings we used to call students of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic,(MA Poly for short) 'MAD poly' now there is 'MAD UNI' courtesy our president GEJ. No offence intended! |
Part of the problem we have had in the power sector is lack of continuity. For those who know, power generation and distribution is not rocket science, even if you have the money the equipment used in generating power are 'long lead items' meaning it takes quite some time to manufacture and install them. El Rufai once said that all the power plants started during OBJ tenure were discontinued by the Yaradua administration immediately he got to power with any reason, while I am not holding brief for OBJ or condemning Yaradua, I am stressing the need for our agencies to be run on long time policies and not by the pulse of our politicians. Anytime a minister of power comes to give a three or six months deadline for improvement in power generation, I just can but laugh at their foolishness since power cannot be downloaded from the internet. Finally, while I am not going to blame GEJ for the state of the power sector although he deserves a share of the blame because he has been in the corridors of power since the beginning of the fourth republic, he is creating more problems for successive governments as he is not putting structures in place for the development of the power sector by his in actions. |
@ Beaf, How did you manage to make your post at four one nine pm? LOL! |
All parents and guardians should make sure that their children are provided shoes once they are able to walk. We wouldn't want any Nigerian adult making his inability to wear shoes a reason for his abysmal failure. |
Would rather not comment on this until it is relayed in the print media. But seriously, is it not better for the tv stations to abandon Aso Rock and embark on massive voter education? Nigerians need to learn the act of electing credible leaders. |
Speakers at a public symposium, ”Advancing a New World Order for the progress of the Human Race,” organised by the Lagos Zone of the Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, at Lagos Airport Hotel, Ikeja, have urged world leaders to evolve new ways of pursuing the collective destiny of humanity by the creation of one world government.Details http://www.vanguardngr.com/2012/05/experts-call-for-one-world-government/ |
@ OP, many thanks for this. The only reason I have stayed on the BB is the relatively cheap internet but with this your discovery, it's time I moved to Android where there is total freedom! |
Yeah, I know that God sometimes involves himself with human trivialities or how should we explain when Peter asked Jesus if he could step out of the boat and walk on water. Not one single soul was won by the miracle and it almost became a disaster for Peter himself. Now to the game and the predictions, I belief prophecies should be for spiritual upliftment of the body of Christ and edification of the saints. Having said all these, the prophesy/prediction was not necessary in the first place. |
So much has happened in this country that this type of news at best is like a passing side comment to people. Is it not the same house that took 3Million furniture allowance against public cry only for Nigerians to hear a few years later that it was 5Million? The more Nigerians become enlightened and free of ethnic and religious sentiments the more our demands on our government will be more precise. Will I laud this development? NO! Not until I see less of career politicians. |
...some people go watch this game with a bottle of coca cola glued to their eyes. |
...For once I think GEJ is right, he didn't create most of the problems we have now but he is definitely creating bigger problems for the future by his actions and inaction. All the noise of I want to be president, now you are in power, what have you got to show for it? |
Nigerian politicians have always opened their mouth at will but it is only the words of opposition leaders that get re echoed. It is still fresh in our memories when obj said an election was going to be a do or die for his party even as a sitting president. The do or die elections that he promised threw up the likes of GEJ to corridors of power. Only recently the same party said they are going to capture the states they lost in the last general elections. The crust of the matter at hand is why is that the first thing that comes to mind about an election in Nigeria is how to rig? We really need a reorientation to move forward. Can't we organise a free and fair elections that even the losing party will heartily congratulate the one who won? When will we stop having 98% voter turnout after the media has reporter voter apathy? So many questions begging for answers. The future of our nation depends on it. |
The issue here for me is not only that he reduced it to 857million. The same feeding budget in 2011 was about 500million. That is more that than 50% increase! How many ministries or agencies of government apart from defense got 50% more than they did in 2011? |
I can imagine which government someone is not trying or willing to discredit. Madam tell your husband to be up and doing in his duties. For the guy who is asking if GEJ is the judiciary, he is the president, commander in chief of the armed forces of Nigeria, the bulk stops at his table! |
@ funkymallam What is in it for you if Arsenal drop points? |
...the holy prophet prophesied that there will be an attack on the youths somewhere in the country and when the supposed attack happened it was some youths you were in a church or service praying. I ask myself, assuming God was willing to reveal this disaster why didn't He just tell one of the leaders in the service? Even if all the people in service were sinners, are there no righteous pastor in the whole of Kano that God could have sent to these children of His who in worshipping Him? God must have given the prophet in Lagos the vision so that we may be scared since there was no remedy for the situation. Of all the prophets who I have read about in the bible they spoke the mind of God while proffering solution to the impending disaster. Could the sins of the youths have been more than the sins of the people who lived in biblical Nineve and where just doomed for destruction. |
We are running out of comments for this situation that we find ourselves and I feel the government too is also fast running out of ideas. The only way to get out of this mess is to come together to fight terrorism. The christians, Muslims, the northerners and the southerners inclusive. We all need to put pressure on the government and the security agencies to wake up and be up and doing about their duties. |
The story of Nigeria, Nigerians and her gladiators just took another twist with the recent disclosure by Azazi. Even though his words were not new to keen watchers of the Nigerian show of shame but it is the first confirmation coming from a man who should since he is an active player in the two most critical aspect of the Nigerian life, governance and security. I am only going to quickly point this out, what's in this revelation for Azazi? Could this in anyway be related to 2015? How many politicians in this country will wilfully give up their link to the national cake without hoping for a higher gain? |
This is the side effect of saying our economy is growing at an average of 7% annually. If na true or na lie we go soon see... |
