You have to provide a means for the user to enter it. that's either via the console or via a GUI. It's probably the console in your case. You can get the user's input via the main method's 'arg' argument. This happens to be an array. You can also retrieve the user's input via input/output, but you are probably not at that point yet. So, if the user executes your program with java EvenOrOdd 2, 5 args[0] would be 2, and args[1] would be 5. So, String a = args[0] String b = args[1] These will be strings so you have to parse the values as you did above. int a = Integer.parseInt(a); int b = Integer.parseInt(b); Hope that helps a little. Good luck! |
What a question, what difference should it make? |
Another thing you can do is compare them at one of the several sites out there, such as phonescoop, and see which one meets your needs. |
First, are you a programmer already or you are totally new to programming? If the former, you can probably do it in one month. But to be efficient in it or to develop any real application with it you need a whole lot more than 1 month. And, that applies to any programming language, not just Java. If it's the latter, in my opinion, you can't. Now, HTML is not programming. So, it should not take to long to pick that up. Just search the web. All you need is out there. |
As long as you understand the limitations of MS Access. This link should get you started. Bottom line, you need to create your user groups and any other security/protection via Ms Access itself. http://www.msaccessblog..com/2006/11/create-msaccess-user-account.html |
While MS Access will probably do what you need it for, it does not scale well. And, does not handle concurrent access by users well. As already mentioned, just consider its limitation when you are making a decision. Personally, I would go with mySQL. |
Nigeria does not have phone blocking/black listing yet. So, really nothing can be done to prevent the person that has your phone from using it. The most you can do is stop them from using your sim by contacting your provider, and have them cancel the sim. |
Mardi Gras is a fun event as already desctibed, and there is nothing evil about it at all. People just let loose and enjoy themselves. I actually like New Orleans. Went to school down there. But have not been back there in about 11 years. I know things have changed somewhat because of Katrina. |
The battery life issue is a known problem with this phone. Check all the forums phonescoop, howardforums, gsmarena, etc. I saw somewhere in howardforums that a firmware update will help somewhat though. |
Wow! I'm sorry to say that some of us not living there are not really aware of how bad things are for some graduates. How does the freaking govt. expect someone to make a decent living off such a salary. And, some people here are making over $50/hr and think nothing of it. It kind of puts things in perspective. As others have said, you may be better off saving some money/investing and starting a business down the road. Also, looks like those meager salary jobs are hard to come buy, so stay put. Good luck! |
I am assuming you have at least a .jar (Java Archieve) file and possible an associated .jad (the description file) file. download Motomidman and use it to install it. Some phones are smart enough that when you transfer the files via bluetooth they automatically install it. So, you can try that first. |
Just google for it. You will find quite a few. You may also want to search the forums here. |
Hit the manuals relating to the language of choice. They are all over the net. No, you do not have to me a mathematician to be able to do programming. But, being very good at math will help. Bottom line, you need to be a good problem solver. |
Actually, your course work in Business/banking might actually help you as a developer. No knowledge is wasted. If programming is your passion, then go for it! |
Wow! Looks like you scored a big one, considering the number of postings congratulating you. This must be one of the elite companies to work for. Or may be working for a bank (regardless of what you do) is just the thing in Niger. Either way, once again, best of luck to you. |
As time goes on things will get better. I know, it's not easy being patient. Especially considering how much you pay and how much you get. Unfortunately, for Nigeria, the basic infrastructure that will allow these companies to provide the service at reasonable rates are not there. So, they have to charge a premium for mediocre service. I see people comparing what's in Niger to what we get in UK/USA etc. But that's not a fair comparison. These countries have what it takes to be able to provide the service at reasonable rates. probably be compared to other West African countries. Having said that, Nigeria needs to do something quickly. The internet has become part of our daily life (school, work, leisure, etc.), and not having access will just make us fall way behind. Outrageous speeds are the norm on this end. I pay $40 monthly for 4mps up/down. Not expecting anything close to that when I used the cafe in Lagos during my visit last year. Like you folks, I was frustrated too when I had to make a transaction from a PC and it took almost 5 minutes for a page to load. Tried a couple of Cafes and it was the same. So, For most of my browsing I just used GPRS mobile. Bottom line: With time and with the appropriate infrastructure, things will improve. |
Congrats! Best of luck to you. I'd make a suggestion though, when anyone posting their job search success story, it will also help to post your qualifications and what you will be doing on the new job or what your job description entails. This will help others out there looking to estimate how things are in the market in general. |
you will be well served doing some serious readin on the web. Only then will you know what suits you best. As already mentioned, do not go into software development solely for the purpose of making money. Most people that go that route tend to fail. worldbest: |
Other carriers will carry it eventually. This is a GSM phone and sprint is not a GSM carrier. Don't know about the others. I heard vodafone UK is supposed to be getting it at eh end of the year. soulpatrol: |
Apple is a different beast! And people do not mind paying a hefty premium for it's product, especially the apple aficionados. I doubt that phone's price will drop as quickly as the RAZR's did. Now, there may be a stripped down version for a lower price though. Also, at least for now, it will not be sold unlocked via 3rd party like all other phones. It is going to be sold exclusively via a carrier. Cingular has a 2-year exclusive right in the US. I heard that Vodafone UK will be getting it by the end of the year. Again, they will likely be the only one in the UK that will sell it for a specific period of time. |
MP007, it's definitely the opposite! Home ownership is the ultimate american dream. Not only does it make a lot of other things easier, you are also building wealth in the process. Generally, a home will always go up in value. A car depreciates as soon as you drive it off the dealership. Having said that, it's true that you see a lot of people (Mostly low income) that are driving the best car in town, but do not have a place to call their own home. The general consensus is that wealth bulding starts with home ownership. And, most people on this end that own a home will agree with that statement. |
The price will probably come down. Especially, when apple starts to roll out versions for other carriers/countries. For now, you can only have this phone if you are a cingular/AT&T customer. And, I believe there is an exclusive 2 year contact with cingular too. The phone will also definitely be locked to cingular. Now, as a cingular customer, I cannot spend $500 on a phone. A lot of phones with similar features (Blackjack, BB pearl, etc.) can be got for free with a 2 year contract. |
There are no guarantees in this life. A healthy baby is more important than anything else. Heck! There are a lot of people that just want a kid, but unfortunately thay cannot. So, for those of us that have kids or can have kids we should count our blessings. I have 2 BTW, boy and girl. |
Actualy, those tutorials are your best bet. You just have to take it slowly and one step at ta time. You will learn more from those tutorials than anyone will ever teach you. Programming takes a lot of time and dedication. With the tutorials you will go at a pace that suits you. |
The question asked which city. Not which city or state. UPRISING: |
I can assure you 100% that the problem is not on the USPS. Their sophistication level is beyond what you can imagine. The same goes for any of the mail carriers in the US. Never heard of NIPOST, but DHL should have been used for something like that. |
Either you do not have the right operating system or you do not meet the system requirements. Try installing a previous version, that's appropriate for your operating system. |
You need to download the itunes application too your PC. It will convert all the songs it finds to itunes format. Once you connect your phone to the PC, itunes should automatically start up. if it does not, start it manually. From there, it can randomly add songs to the phone or you can choose the songs you want added. The user manual will give more details. |
Phone blocking/blaclisting does not exist in Nigeria, at least not yet. Not sure what you mean by passworded your phone nazzyon. if you are talking about the phone security lock code. On some phones it asks for it whenever the phone is turned on, on nokia's it asks when the sim is changed. Well, any of the programs out there will read that code and display it. Of corse, the ordinary user may not know that. For example, when I hook up any of my Motorola phones to Motorola Phone tools(MPT), P2k Commander, Motokit, MotoMidman, they all show the security code, phone lock code, IMEI, etc. usually in the status bar or by clicking on "phone info". |
That thing can be replaced. You just have to find someone that knows what they are doing. |
Absolutely Fdeveloper! OP, They just want to test how you reason and what kind of problem solving skills you have. You are not expected to developa full fledged application, but you should be able to pseudocode how it will be done. There is always going to be a technical interview, since that's the nature of the field. It's just that different companies present it differently. Like I always say, application development/programming is one field that you can not lie your way through an interview. And if you happen to get by doing that, they will find out quickly on the job. You just cannot get by without actually knowing it period! |
