She's pretty, and in a recent comment said she doesn't need to drop her standard for anyone, when some OAP attacked her person and asked her to return to her husband. However, I do hope this lady really raises her standard because that dude she was with last, doesn't say a lot about raising your standards. Lets all learn from our experiences and stop making a bad movie of our lives as we are the script writers, I hope she will pick better next time and not some child-boyman but a real gentleman. That's standard! ![]() In other matters I wrote a free e-book called THE SIDE HUSTLE BOOM which offers specific tips for businesses you can start right at home, Gaps around you which you can fill in exchange for money, how to source for more customers if you already own a business, and how you can be better at your job search if you are a job seeker. Money is good, we know this. If we all had a choice, none of us would want to live in Penury. But life happens and while some may be born poor the choices we make through life will determine if that status would change. Success means different things to different people, sadly though one of the reasons for this post is that in a country like Nigeria too many youths have the money mindset, this is their sole mindset and with this comes many problems which come back and destroy our society. So here are 5 Dangers of Having a Money Only Mindset. Note that this post is with a focus on having the money mindset for the wrong reasons and pursuing that mindset through the wrong means. 1. YOU COME OFF AS GREEDY AND SCARY When a person is solely all about money, having it, gaining it especially with an aim that’s targeted at gathering material things, the latest gadgets, cars, clothes and worst of all to show off and oppress others, they not only look really greedy they begin to look scary to those around them. Scary because, people who have worked to earn their money, through legit and honest means will see an inner monster living in the person with the money mindset. They will find them scary as they see someone who will likely be willing to do anything to achieve their aims, hence they may not feel safe around them. Suffice to say coming off as having a money mindset makes one look shady. 2. BECOMING MANIPULATIVE The only money mindset person, begins to exhibit this in their actions and will manipulate and cheat others, as long as they get the money, they don’t care who feels bad, they destroy their relationships with others. The money only mindset person will be glad to lend money they don’t intend to return to purchase things that are liabilities and not assets. 3. THEY SPOIL THE COUNTRY’S NAME OUTSIDE The nature of crimes those that have been caught outside the shores of Nigeria were involved in, include human trafficking, drug peddling, fraud, robbery and other similar morally bankrupt acts. The nature of these crimes in themselves portray the minds of the perpetrators as being having sick levels of money only mindset. Blinding them so much that they forget their names and family names which would be tarnished, they forget they could lose their lives as some of these countries have stringent punishments for crimes such as drug peddling. They only think of all the money they would make. Ultimately also money only mindset people spoil the image of the country and indirectly hamper other honest citizens from having opportunities abroad. 4. READY TO CHEAT OTHERS & GAIN MONEY THROUGH ANY MEANS. The increase in kidnappings, armed robbery, and fraud also known as yahoo yahoo, the increase in ritual killings means the number of persons with the money only mindset are on the rise. This means a more dangerous society for us all. Because the innocent are often the victims. 5. WILL SQUANDER MONEY AS MINDSET CAME FROM WRONG PLACE. A person with the money mindset fails to understand the value of money, or investment. They want irrelevant and empty things. They want money for purchase of produced things but do not think like producers. No matter the amount a money only mindset person comes by, they seldom are able to grow further and will more likely return to where they started as a wrong mindset will always mean a wrong set of actions. Our society needs a strong value re-orientation which needs to start from our homes, our schools, having the right role models, and having the right mindset. Money, can actually right many wrongs of our society, but only in the hands of the right people, with the right values otherwise our woes have just begun. On this episode of The Moral Code. We feature Gospel Alhaji who speaks on the topic of greed attributed to Naija ladies and why. Excerpts from the video. "You see many people see Nigerian ladies as greedy and selfish. This trend is an insult to the ladies who are not greedy, who know the value of working for their own money and who are very okay with little they have. So today, let us talk about why Naija ladies are called greedy. Recently, for those of you following The Moral Code on facebook and Instagram we shared this post and it reads Physical poverty is not the reason for some things, but mental poverty is however the reason for many things, it is why some think a man must take care of all their needs and it is why others think getting rich quick is the way out." The Moral Code is committed to addressing issues of Moral Decadence especially in Nigerian Society and addressing other burning issues. The Fourth Republic differs from the three previous Republics we had in Nigeria in several respects. For one, it is the longest. While the First Republic lasted 5 years from Independence, the Second Republic lasted four years and three months while the Third Republic was inconclusive. It had elected state governors, state assemblies and even a National Assembly, to which the AFRC ceded some inconsequential powers including the power to legislate on museums, monuments and public libraries. However, the Third Republic never had a civilian President. Even though a presidential election was held on June 12, 1993, the Returning Officer, Prof Humphrey Nwosu, did not declare the result until 15 years later, at an awkward and legally inconsequential public lecture in Abuja in 2008. Two federal elections were held in the 1st Republic, in 1959 and 1964; two were held in the 2nd Republic, in 1979 and 1983, and 6 have so far been held in the 4th Republic, in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. The four presidents that we have had in this Republic differ from one another in democratic temperament, in tolerance of criticism, in anti-democratic short fuse, and in overarching ambition to dominate the environment. While some of them kept their political party on a short leash, others dined with their political party with a long spoon. All four Presidents of the Fourth Republic are better known for their frown than for their smiles. Only one of them had the art of comic relief. None of the four is famous for his oratorical skills. Even though one of them is a PhD, none of the four is regarded to be an engaging intellectual, and certainly none of the four qualifies as a Philosopher-King… Speech delivered at an event of the Centre for Democracy and Development, commemorating the recent democracy day celebrations Read more here https://www.cddwestafrica.org/a-reflection-on-20-years-of-democracy-in-nigeria-by-mahmud-jega/

Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) commissioned Africa Polling Institute (API) to conduct the 2019 Buharimeter National Survey to elicit the views of Nigerians on three key areas. These are: reflections on the recently concluded General Elections; policy priorities of Government; and strategies to address lingering challenges facing the country, over the next four years. This research is a crucial part of efforts to deepen citizen engagement and enhance voice and accountability in the democratic government of Nigeria and its policy process. Overall, the research showed that, over the next four years, Nigerians want the President to focus mainly on job creation and improving security, and most importantly, leave a legacy of a strong and stable economy, under good governance and security of lives and property. These findings highlight the issue of unemployment, particularly amongst youth aged 18 to 35 years, and the need to tackle the issue head on. It has widely been acknowledged that youth unemployment is a ticking time bomb in Nigeria, and a key factor triggering youth restiveness, kidnapping, militancy and violent extremism experienced across the country. Eating a particular class of food only such as protein or staying away from other classes of foods such as fat does not equal healthy eating. In fact, it is not advisable. I once wrote a post on strict diets and why we shouldn’t believe in them. That said, let’s talk some fiber rich foods and their benefits to your health. What are fibers? Fibers, better known as dietary fibers or roughage are that portion of food that are not broken down in the small intestine (i.e, not digested by the body). There are two types of dietary fiber namely soluble and insoluble fiber both of which aid digestion and prevent you from diseases. Examples of foods that are rich in soluble fiber include: Beans Vegetables Seeds Nuts Oat Potatoes Carrots Strawberries Some of the foods that are rich in insoluble fiber include: Grains Wheat Vegetables Health benefits of fiber Reduces gas and bloating Consistent addition of fiber to your diet helps to reduce gas or bloating, thereby helping you to feel more comfortable all day. Effective in blood sugar control his benefit can be gotten from soluble fiber foods (e.g. Oats). Blood sugar level regulation is one benefit of fiber. Research shows that increased intake of fiber reduces blood glucose level; thereby regulating it and making the body system stay healthy. Relieves constipation One of the major benefits of fiber is that it helps relieves constipation. You must have been advised at one time or the other to “take oranges and make sure to eat the insides” in order to relieve constipation. Those insides you eat are known as roughage. Aids weight loss One of the most effective ways to lose weight is to be mindful of what you eat, how much you eat and when you eat. In a nutshell, this simply means to control what you eat. Add more soluble fiber to your diet to aid weightloss and prevent diseases such as diabetes. See this article from Harvard Health for a study carried out on this claim and a list of fibre rich foods you should consume daily. It aids digestion Dietary fiber helps in digestion as it produces bulkier softer stool which is easier to pass than strong or watery ones. According to Mayo clinic, a high fiber diet may help reduce the risk of hemorrhoids and diverticulitis (small, painful pouches on the colon). Fiber rich foods are also very filling. A healthy colon makes us less vulnerable to illnesses, fiber rich foods help with bowel movements, which in turn means a healthy body. Add more fiber to your meals today so you can gain the benefits of fiber rich foods and their benefits. Have a positive health attitude. Source - www.yourhealthattitude.com

It's a mean world, and we wonder where the good people are. If global warming is destroying the Earth, then Moral Decadence is destroying humanity. Parents no longer ask their wards if the partner they want to marry is a kind or good person, they now ask if they are wealthy... Babies without steady family presence because we now glorify Baby mamas and Baby Daddies... Watch this episode of THE MORAL CODE as once again Moral Decadence is discussed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpjv8TrmUFM&list=PLjBK7jf8xrdJz_dC9sfwn3Ut-xzt8N4dl&index=9&t=0s

Glink2018:and are you living the path of a Muslim if you are a Muslim? Pot calling kettle black. Those who are dangerous to the image of Islam and Muslims are Muslims who act wrongly. You are justifying a guy that drank gutter water, whether Christian or Muslim this is also common sense. Stop embarrassing us. |
deomelo:you are the one not making sense. If u are a Muslim, go and hide your face for justifying this nonsense. |
AlhajiYoung:Mister Alhaji Young. It's good you are trying to debunk the fake news. But I hope you asked your comrade, ur clansman how celebrating anything at all is to be done through FILTH! Wallowing in the gutter and drinking.... And later you will cry foul that northerners are insulted. Not only are northerners insulted, they bring such insults to Islam and Muslims. I am a Muslim and I am ashamed of his actions. In no way or manner can this be justified. Rubbish is Rubbish. |
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6NWXkPcwnM Watch the video if you don't wish to read. In a country like Nigeria, with the teeming youths unemployed. We find ourselves working for different organisations and different bosses. From the one that thinks your life belongs to them to the one that doesn't mind sending you akara and pap even with your masters. In this episode of The Moral Code, sit back as I take you through the bad traits of so called employers in Nigeria. The Rude and Abusive Boss This one can insult you and your family! Even go as far curse you! They don't understand the fact that there are words you don't use on someone, younger or older. These bosses don't even know old men or women every one is their victim. The Hire and Fire Boss Because these types want to take advantage of the unemployment rate in the country, they hire and Fire and are proud to say it, staff never feel relaxed around the workplace. These types of bosses rarely have their business grow as no one stays long enough to help actualize their vision. The Always Owing Salary boss These ones can owe you 3months or more and still expect you to come to work everyday! They will be glad to still sack you and not pay up. When you owe someone money, you should feel restless till you pay let alone owing people for work done. Are you even okay. The enslavers The enslavers will forever feel, that because they gave you a job, your life is theirs. You will run errands that have nothing to do with the job, like buy bread, pick my kids at school and some other informal tasks. They don't see anything wrong with this. If possible you will go to their house and cook for them, you will just hear your boss say one day "can you cook fried rice?". Dear Nigerian employers. You are guardians over your staff. Treat them well, pay them on time, respect them. Give them room to grow and show their skills. A boss is a leader, many bosses know nothing about leadership. Watch and invite your friends too to subscribe to the channel! I discuss basic morals. Peace out.
