Tajbol4splend:It's a crazy thing. The politicians seem to look out for loopholes to make more money. Why they beg the evil herdsmen rather than arrest them and prosecute them we do not understand. It is the same story all across the nation. The more the politicians beg, they more they get desperate and the politicians set aside sums to share in the name of herdsmen. That's what emboldened boko haram. These people in the name of religion and lack of education are bend on continuing the wickedness. They must all be flushed out and sent back either peacefully on in pieces to their respective French countries. |
Badorey6:Tribalism will not allow all of you reason properly. Did you not read where it was said that the herdsmen could operate freely in the forest reserves freely after registration? How does that sound to you and how does it stop the killing of people? How can the government of India state identify the exact person who kills or kidnaps after the act? When they choose to leave and go to neighboring states, how are you sure they will not return? We are talking of moving the evil ones among them away completely and cleaning up the forest reserves and you are here bragging on who is more effective between Amotekun/ESN and OPC. Your OPC has been there since the 90s and the leader has been partisan in politics. Why have they not done the job before now? Amotekun left the job and started controlling traffic in Ibadan and arresting people in towns and cities unjustifiably? ESN is not approved by the FG, but the people support them to flush those evil men out of the forests and make their lands safe. It's good news that Amotekun has made this move. It should be sustained. If the evil men are eliminated it makes the roads safe for people from the SE and SS who travel on the highways too and not just the SW. By the way why have you not volunteered to join OPC or Amotekun? |
Pynd44:Chai. All these grammar for another country matter? Abeg bros leave America face your own matter for your country. See say your own country everywhere wahala. Help us advice our oga for this side. |
ItsTutsi:Say what you know about. Stop being economical with the truth. |
Executed by a company (name withheld). If you could give us details of the so called contract, why not give us the name of the company that executed it? Why must it be mysterious? You mentioned Makinde as the contract giver, but failed to inform us the readers about the executing company. That’s cowardly please. I hold it that the petitioner and the writer are not sure of themselves. At least they should be man enough to give us all the details. Telling us about 2 billion awarded as a contract to purchase cars I think is just to attract us the innocent electorate and set us against the man. Jagbajantis intete!!! |
ItsTutsi:Kano prohibits alcohol and yet Kano benefits from VAT realized from alcohol because we are one Nigeria? As a Christian state what anti Islamic actions have been taken in Rivers state? Please call a spade by its name friend. It is cruelty! |
ursamajor:All we have heard is PDP stole this, PDP stole that in 16 years. Now we are six years into this APC government. How far? Have they fixed the crude stealing leaking points? In these six years we have heard how some very humongous sums have been stolen. Why will they not focus on the present evil living among them? When will this government get moving? Only last week the president stated that they could not meet their campaign promises. Which words is more honest what he said? The question now is: which of their campaign promises did they fulfill? Unfortunately some die hard people who choose to continue to be blind, will never wake up to the reality of their situation until it is very late for them. |
ariesbull:“Asokata Eze Anya...” is a proverb used to address abusive elders. Umunna is a system used by Igbos to address issues within families and it ends there. So you want to say umunna controls an entire town? “Umunna pronounce judgements...” and King’s concur? And you have not heard of King’s who have overruled the decisions of the Umunna, especially where they are oppressive? Go and speak with your king anyhow and find out if he is powerful or not. “We don’t have powerful Kings”. You want to say the Obi of Onitsha is not powerful, or Eze Okpoko, or the Igwe of Nnewi? What about Kings of other towns in the SE? My brother do not disparage the Igbo kings here. Ask questions on how things are done and you”ll get them. |
ariesbull:Don’t come here and say what you do not know. “They don’t have any power”. Who told you that? If Kings don’t have powers why do the people refer cases to him to handle? Why do the people make complaints to him? Why do the people look to him to speak with governments and governors on their behalf? Please choose your words carefully when you speak about Igbo Kings. Even those from autonomous communities are well respected and honored by their people. You can say those words when you have an irresponsible king and they are in every tribe. |
longetivity:“They said I insulted him”. But everyone saw it and heard it. Respecting elders has nothing to do with tribes. Truthfully Igboho expresses the minds of the oppressed farmers and travelers but he chose the wrong words in that occasion. He must also be careful as he is within the reach of security agencies. Every reasonable Nigerian needs quality leadership. We all need to move forward and get out of the Fulani Stone Age behavior. This evil Fulani behavior must be put to an end in all states where they think they can misbehave freely. Everyone feels oppressed by the Fulanis and they must not be allowed to return to the presidency. Abacha/Yaradua were Fulanis yet the heavens did not fall over Nigeria. But I think Igboho’s actions may be subverted by some greedy leaders. |
Rubbish. Good riddance. Why do you all pretend and make the state government look wicked? Government provided routes where okadas would ply. Government also provided routes where they must not ply. Some greedy okadas supported by get-there-quick citizens deliberately flout the order and expect not to get punished. What kind of people do we have in this country? Why must we continue this act of brazen lawlessness? Greedy and make-it-rich-quickly okadas will always lose their okadas. Foolishly they quickly get other bikes and continue with their lawlessness on the same routes. Okadas must be totally banned in Lagos. A lot of states have banned them. As we speak we have a lot of northerners coming to Lagos on the backs of trailers with their okadas to ride. Why will they not ride the same bikes in their respective states? Must they make 20,000 daily? Those who make 2,000 are satisfied and go back home in peace. You support lawlessness and accuse Buhari and the governors of breaching the laws. As it stands this country will continue to get worse with such attitudes. |
Rather than beat him to coma, they should have plucked out his own eyes. He will use his eyes when he is out of coma but his victim will never use her eyes again. |
Neddstark:Please share it as soon as you see it. Let’s be in the look out. Thank you very much for your kindness. May kind people always meet with you. |
ifeanyija:Remember “if you try and fail better keep on trying”? |
woleabayo:“Did this man has brain at all”? Bros na English you take matchete do this kind strong thing like this. May English man forgive you there. If na so dem speak am before you hear am, how e for dey sweet you so tay you begin speak am? |
Softboy001:Agreed 100% with your comment. But which one come be “behavioral attitude”? Na make e be say you blow big grammar? |
Neddstark:Please let’s get going now. Can we get his account? |
Neddstark:It is good to criticize. But on our part we can give our widow’s mite. Bearing in mind that they make us laugh, let’s give something on this Nairaland. If we wish him speedy recovery, we must act too. Why don’t we ask for his account and then make our own donations. Do you think it is alright? |
Hopefully the man is sent to the Shariah court where the law of “an eye for an eye” will be applied on him. |
NgeneUkwenu:No he will not. But he will be waiting to trap rats and rodents like you. |
Fahdiga1:And so? Very stupid observation. |
Chelsea were brave enough to remove Lampard. They examined themselves and found that an inexperienced school boy coach would cause them tears at the end of the season. Arsenal should take that bold step and remove Arteta. Dem take stinginess do Stan Kronke and im family? Which kind wickedness be this sef? Arteta everyday na to speak English. Please bring Wenger back! |
Idiot Arteta dropped Martinez for this Bern Leno mad man. Everytime, Leno moves away to the midfield as if he is a midfielder. I said it since that he would pay the price one day. Imagine Wolves using Arsenal to shine the second time this season! I have also warned that unless this school boy of a coach Arteta is removed Arsenal will end this season between 12th and 15th. Go back and beg Wenger for forgiveness. Bring Wenger back and also throw that Edu away. Arsenal will be back to winning ways after. |
9jatriot:Makinde I think at a time was in the APC. Do not forget the story that went round before and after 2015 that Fulanis were imported from other countries, armed with AK47s and instructions to fight if APC lost the election. Do you remember that at a time they were said to have become restless with hunger staring them in their faces. When they could not return to their origin or be provided for, they turned on the innocent citizens of the various communities in the south and other parts of the country. Further to that do you also remember the story that went round that the governor of Kaduna paid off some Fulani people just to make them quiet. With the kind of guns in their hands and with their fellow Fulani as the leader, they may have chosen to help themselves and perpetuate themselves on the different parts of the country where there are crisis now. In Lagos, they boastfully tell people that they can commit do whatever they like and get away with it. Unfortunately the Fulani herdsmen that we originally knew were not vicious. They were only armed with long sticks which they used to control their cows. They were also friendly and could sell cows to you wherever you met them aside their normal “agbo malu”. Truly there were little skirmishes between them and their hosts, but hardly were lives lost. The Serikis have become suspects as they seem to cover up for these atrocities. The Obas and community leaders have also been accused of taking bribes in cows, cars and cars to allow the evil herdsmen enter their communities. The governors politicize this matter rather than face the reality of the wickedness of some of these herdsmen and deal with it. The efforts of the FG seem like nothing. On the appointment of the new security chiefs, Shekau mocked them saying that they will also fail like their predecessors. I strongly believe that if security is taken more seriously by the FG, we can all overcome the challenges. |
OneTemplate:“Never negotiate with the terrorist Igbos”. And yet they have helped invaluably to develop your SW. But you can beg and negotiate with Fulani herdsmen, who have perfected the art of killing, maiming and possessing cities in the SW. Get small sense before jealousy kill you. Muntula! |
OneTemplate:That’s why people like you are stuck. Follow follow people who reason negatively. Who cares or wants to comment about Yoruba affairs with people like you? A simple comment and you cannot respond decently? Wake up from your negative indoctrination and move ahead. “You guys are hopeless”. Sorry but you are the hopeless person. You always dreamed of a Nigeria devoid of a particular tribe. You bother about the speck in another person’s eye not thinking about how to remove the glaring wood in your own. “Irredeemable hypocrites”. But that’s exactly why you display here. Watching evil people kill and maim innocent citizens in your own territory while you demand for peace. If not that the matters of the SE practically wants to kill some of you, why don’t you leave the SE alone out of your matters? You and people like you should stop commenting abusively about the east. |
yommen:But irrespective of tribal sentiments, have the Fulanis vacated Ibarapa land? We were told that some days they seized two communities, tied red ropes around them and dated anyone to cross the tapped areas. Even Amotekun personnel on ground there have not entered the areas. I think Igboho is on a sensitisation mission in those areas. Truthfully the governors because of positions play the ostrich. There needs to be more proactive measures from the FG, states, local governments and citizens to end this menace. Now have you not noticed the silence on the part of BAT? 2023 at play with the lives of the citizens of the SW. For me supporting the north in 2015 by the southwest was myopic. Now they pay the price and accuse the southeast. ESN in the east may not have the approval of the FG, but you cannot dispute the fact that they make the SE safe...a role that the FG has failed to play. Nnamdi Kanu may be dictating the pace from afar, but whatever we all do to ensure safety of our loved ones in the villages and remote areas should be embraced. Tribal sentiments are only exhibited by blinded people on Nairaland. The battle is not fought here but on the field. Whatever things Igboho or Kanu do to help instill peace in our societies are welcome. |
divinecode101:Thankfully it is not your business. Unfortunately you have failed to remove the terrible log in your own eyes. Why don’t you try to deal with the issue of daily killing in in the farms in your area first. Manage to buy 100mb and come here to disturb those who do not disturb you. Muntula! |
The idea of including tomatoes in your recipe makes the final product goat beef stew and not goat beef peppersoup. Now we have not been able to taste it so we would not be able to score you. Many thanks for your efforts. |
Will this case not be handed to Hisbah to handle? Justice will be faster and easier. |
