What will that change? Will it revert Nigerians to where they were before the famous “subsidy is gone” statement? Will it revert Nigerians to what it was before the famous “ floating the Naira”? That’s the genesis. |
Very terrible. |
accordadoga24:Olodo. 1. The phone in your hands 2. All your electronics and electricals 3. Your house where you live. All the building and plumbing materials 4. The whole clothes on your pitiable body, including the boxers to cover that your small prick 5. The food that you eat 6. The drugs to save you from dying wey you for don die since. All of them are sold by the Igbos. Even your favourite satchet at your favourite motor parks, to keep you perpetually drunk and mentally lazy are manufactured by them. Tell me how you are not absolutely sorrounded, even in your village. Your unborn “great, great grandchildren”, already know that the people you choose to castigate, lord it over them absolutely. |
Bloody liars. “Boko Haram and its affiliates, on the ascendancy in 2014/2015, have since been decimated, and similar bold gains are now being made with bandits and other criminals.” BIG FAT LIE! Let them travel on the highways without security. Let them go to their country homes, if they dare. They cannot leave Abuja! ————————————————— “Idris further noted that Nigerians have not forgotten that it was the APC administration that cleared several liabilities left behind by the PDP government, such as subsidy claims by oil marketers, Paris Club Refunds, unpaid pensions, gratuities, and salary arrears owed various categories of pensioners from liquidated and existing State-Owned Enterprises. “Major oil sector reforms that the PDP touted for years but could not deliver – passage of the PIB, new refineries, as well as the revamp of existing ones, and so on – are the very real and continuing legacies of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). “All of these have been accomplished without access to the oil windfall that the PDP government enjoyed for much of the time that it was in power, and also against the backdrop of the most devastating global shock since the Second World War: the COVID-19 pandemic. “We must continue to state these facts so Nigerians will know where we are coming from, and appreciate what is being done in its full context.” ANOTHER BIG FAT LIE! ———————————————————— All the policies were from PDP. If APC did not bring their horrible ways into the Nigerian political space, PDP would have completed all. Shameless people who have bewitched their supporters with plenty of lies. If they did not deceive their gullible followers, Nigerians would long have overcome the effects of subsidy under GEJ. With all their lies, they have very been paying subsidy since last year, while deceiving their gullible followers. How APC still have the audacity to call PDP out in the face of very clear economic errors committed by them is mind boggling. Nigerians go from hardship to hardship, poverty to poverty, misery to misery daily, yet there does not seem to be any way out of the woods. Shameless people with shameless supporters. |
Kc3000:Sabi mumu should not be our fear. The fear should be egunje related. Without judges to bribe, how can some handle their matters, seeing the negativity be news we read daily on social media. |
The worst among them must be BEDC. Never expect light in Asaba. Okpanam road is the worst hit. It's been like that for years. Nowadays there is light for five minutes at about 12:05 am. The light goes off after the said first five minutes. It stays off for five minutes and is restored for another five minutes. It goes off again and is restored for two hours. Okpanam road experiences light only in the dead of night for not more than two hours. Everyone can confirm it easily I hope BEDC is stripped of the license, if any, and that license handed over to a competent organisation. |
Goodlady:Why you no give am blender? Which one be mortar and pestle? Abi na another part of Nigeria she relocate to? If she pounds any how with that mortar, the news you go hear go different o. No pounding, especially if it is a blocks of apartments. Na police matter be that for disturbing others o. |
thesicilian:Complete devastation. Very sorrowful. May they be comforted. |
Patrioticman007:Taaaaaa. Close that your mouth, with nothing known to say. |
Na wah. |
The audacity of APC politicians is very stinking. Their ability to spit on the faces of citizens and insultively ask the same citizens to wipe their faces is unbelievable. This country has been pulled down by the same political class over the years. In 1982, the late Umaru Dikko boastfully said that Nigerians had not been eating from dustbins. Truly, politicians have over years, out if their greed made Nigerians scavenge. Now Nigerians pick food in dustbins Watching what they set aside as budget for their various needs, how would Bayo Onanuga claim that the country is very poor? With all the resources available, oil, human capital, geographical, etc, how Nigeria is not rated among the biggest powers in the world requires us all to so the political class some very serious questions. From where would a "very very poor" country find the resources to purchase such huge cars for already very wealthy legislators? Who are we to blame, if not the citizens who accept every rubbish thrown at them? The last election gave the opportunity to get quality professionals into positions of power. Unfortunately "na our pikin" was the sentiment used to retain the present political office holders and their horrible policy makers. Nigeria has OPEC quota of 1.8 million barrels per day of oil to produce. At a time officially it was at 880k per day, while a huge chunk of the remaining 1m was stolen by "unknown" persons. The so called anti corruption crusader, Buhari, proved otherwise. Now the country is in deep mess as Buhari and APC mortgaged the future of the country. |
They will keep standing until rice hits 100,000 a bag. Just take a look at the speed at which the cost of rice climbs. |
updatechange:Oga, you need to understand how good societies work. There is no democracy in the world where governments seize people goods earned from very legitimate means. Where are we playing politics in this matter? Is it still a secret that this country has been brought to its knees by APC and very poor governance? Even those who voted APC now lament "ebi n pawa", in regret of their action. How can you justify government's invasion of people's properties, in the name of hoarding of products bought with their own money? How can you justify the failure of government and the irresponsible move to blame the people? With all the cries if the citizens in the irresponsible 16 years of PDP in power, why did state governors not back open people's warehouses to seize products? Or have you so speedily forgotten that inspite of the recklessness of PDP, prices of products were quite stable in those years? When Buhari without proper thinking shut thr borders for years, what did he put in place to cover for the fallout? Did you not hear about the famous "Buhari's body language" that left the economy drifting for months? How has government, especially under APC made life easier for citizens? Have you not heard Tinubu's talk about reducing the purchasing power of the people? Has he not accomplished it? How do you want to blame the businessman who sole purpose is profit making? Why not seize all the vessels carrying petrol to the country, in the name of hoarding and increasing prices? Are Nigerians not groaning and labouring under that? Call a spade a spade. I do not think that the government of Kano state has the right to seize people's goods, especially when they do not contravene any known law. |
Stupid and meaningless move. In the first place, were the products purchased with public or looted funds? If the products were purchased by business people, using their own personal resources, where did the Kano government find the power to confiscate the products. Or are they termed “contraband”. In the end, the reckless government will face litigations and payments for such moves. The same was experienced under Buhari as a military head of state in 1984. In the name of essential commodities, the then FG confiscated goods worth billions from private warehouses. Nothing was achieved in the end, except more Buhari induced poverty. Governments are known to have price control boards. We have it on paper in Nigeria. Inflation has been on a run away. Is it the fault of commodity sellers. While I am not holding brief for them, it is no longer a secret that APC has failed monumentally since 2015. In the name of getting the naira to find its true value, the country has gone from one mess to another. Why not deal with corruption in high places? Why not end crude stealing effectively. What is the essence of borrowing from China, USA, UK and maybe very soon Guinea Bissau? Now we are told that the same Dangote and PH refineries that we have been expecting to work, cannot receive adequate quantities of crude to refine. They have given out the future. Jagbajantis intete. |
Hmmm. OP this should read” How Nigeria’s economy nosedived in 9 years of APC governance”. Without doubt, PDP’s corrupt 16 years were far better and more fruitful. APC has come to torment and impoverish citizens. |
adesegun121:Another RIP to English. Bros abeg na. |
Na fear dey hold the man, make dem no go wound am incase Nigeria win. |
Very sad. What will happen to the university? That vision surely is lost. Very tragic. |
adesegun121:RIP to English. |
idealogical:Continue suffering the mistake of voting wrongly. Your own self deceit and eye service are very glaring to you presently, except you choose to keep pretending. Shioorrrrr! |
Very sad. Very terrible. |
SincereBigot:“ Obi will never be president amen.. after tinubu 8 years, shettima will take over, then yahaya bello”. And you will go from suffering to suffering; hardship to hardship; miserable life to miserable life…AMEN. |
$98b divided by 10 = $9.8b Of the 10 years, APC spent 9 years. If we take 9 years by $9.8b each, it is $88.2b. So far our present baba has spent close to 9.8b travelling to tell us that investors are coming. In less than one year, Nigeria has gone from frying pan to fire. |
Blessed4sure:Even dogs and wolves are better than them. |
Hmm. “ Vice-Premier Matteo Salvini sternly said, “Don’t come to me and talk about ‘tolerance’ or ‘mistakes.’ In the face of such heinous acts, there can be no leniency, only a remedy: chemical castration. I hope the League’s proposal on this matter will be voted on as soon as possible.” Completely supported. Even this by the Vice Premier is very lenient when compared to executed judgements against such evil people in Arab countries. Castration enables them to live their lives, but will never be normal. Their countries would have had them beheaded in tbe most vicious manner. How they dare get into another man’s country and take sleep away from the eyes of the citizens is very hard to accept. Hopefully the castration law can be quickly passed. After castration, they must speedily be returned to Egypt to continue their worthless lives in shame, misery and sorrow. |
foliman:As of today, cement is @7,000. 16mm rods, standard, @11,000; substandard @10,000. 12mm increased too. With Tinubu and APC, Nigerians made a great blunder. |
The impostors in the state assembly. We laugh in French. All they say and do amount to waste. Again is the fact that Fubara is certainly not ready for the business of governance. |
OP, is this bigger than BACO 3? |
MisterBanny:I do not think it was a skit. Many couples do it daily. The difference is that a lot of the ladies do not wear their wedding dresses. It is however perfectly normal. It cuts off delay with marriage and reduces costs for the couple. I think they chose what was best for them bro. Happy Sunday to you. |
fijihems:As a student you could up to 1984. Buhari and his group ruined it all. Visa was issued on arrival in London. IBB ruined it as visa before departure commenced in 1986. |
ThierryJay:The minimum wage was 125 in 1981. Airfare to London, economy class by British Caledonian/British airways/Nigeria airways roved around 879 naira. It was much easier or affordable to travel as there were different packages for adults/students and children. So you only needed approximately 6 times your salary to purchase your air ticket. And by the way, that minimum wage had value, unlike what you find today. You could with just one naira, get a loaf of bread/eggs/ororo/cubed sugar/canned milk/tea bag, with change for your breakfast. You could enjoy your favourite cow tail pepper soup for one naira and your Gulder/star beer for 90 kobo. Life was far better. IBB/Buhari and their group brought this country to its knees systematically from Dec 31 1983, till May 29, 1999. |
