Jackiedemie:Don’t mind them. The party was not factionalized at the national level and it was not factionalized at the state level either. The issue of Sam Anyanwu in no way had a bearing on their reckless claim. APC on the other hand has been factionalized for about six or seven years. Ehie had absolutely the right to declare their seats vacant, given that a court of competent jurisdiction had declared him so. You can check that too By the way, it is incontrovertible that when state lawmakers decamp to other parties, their seats automatically become vacant. Going to the court is just to establish the fact of allowing them the fair hearing that they need. Again, PDP has stated categorically that their seats are vacant and gone ahead to ask INEC to conduct fresh elections there. The matter as it stands is a constitutional one and the courts must do the needful in the course of time. |

Whalis:“ You still believe this your infantile botherline reasoning. Was Ehie suspended after he became speaker or before”? Do not take cheeky English words that sound convenient and cheap to you, in place of decorum. Oga, please stop jumping into issues publicly without adequately reading and following up. Do not follow the crowd who write without reading. Go back to last August at least. Follow the sequence gently. Get to the point where the decision to impeach the governor was arrived at. Read clearly and get it clearly. Thereafter read the constitution and read the fallout in the other states where the state assembly people decamped. Get properly informed and then prove to yourself who stands on the infantile borderline. |
Saturnalia:Bros stop disgracing yourself openly here please. It's still new year's day. Your comment confuse even you too. Obi said that he would not fly a private jet with public funds. How does it mean that he does not fly via private planes? Do you want to join Reno ignorantly pretending that he did not see Peter Obi travel of private planes during the last election campaigns? Where is the lie? If someone else posted the WhatsApp message, where is Obi's fault? Do you want to claim That you are not aware that there are paid propagandists out there? Did Tinubu"s agents not post fake news all through the period against Obi? My friend get some sleep please. |
SirBunky85:No wonder the white people said "if you want to keep a secret from a black man, hide it in a book". Oga, read and stop arrogantly displaying this level of ignorance. Stop proving the white man right. Read the constitution. Read your newspapers. Research and get information. Or do I assume that all you read are the words "chest beating"? Ask questions and stop embarrassing yourself discussing what you do not have the information of. |
jamesversion:Sure. Ehie was already the speaker at that time. Clearly Fubara had been informed ahead of the intention of the 27 to decamp to APC. It was the instruction of Wike to them. Wike would keep servicing Tinubu with his so called structure in Rivers state, until some political disagreements arise. However by the law, put together by the same so called lawmakers, they lost their seats. The claim that PDP in Rivers state is factionalized is a complete lie. It is well publicized that APC has been factionalized in Rivers state since 2015, on the contrary. |
jamesversion:Please the first was that Amaewhule suspended the four when the set up to impeach Fubara. The four went to court. The issue escalated. The four went ahead, sat, elected Edison. The 27 decamped and their seats were declared vacant. That's the sequence. Read and check. "In the eyes of the law"? Did you not read that the court in Rivers agreed with it? Please read. Edison until his resignation was recognized as the speaker. Amaewhule by his decampment lost his seat. If you do not have a copy of the constitution, you can have it on your phone. Get it and read for a better understanding. |
TopBanter:Please where is the bigger picture? Are you not a witness to so many lies that have been told by leaders in the last 8 years? We were assured december as the deadline. The next they said it was @75% completion. Now it is January and next they are test running. By the way, where is the assurance that petrol price will drop to N200 when the NNPC boss himself said it will not happen? |
And we have gone from December 2023 to January 2024. That's how Sirika faked Air Nigeria until he left. |
Attention seeker. He expects Obi to go by road as a show of the suffering inflicted on Nigerians by the likes of Omokri. He's discarded Atiku, works hard to get a job with Tinubu. Meanwhile Obi's name puts food on his table. Look at his head like that of an agama lizard. |
SirBunky85:Go and sit down if you do not know how the law works. The same people who put together the law that they should observe, brazenly disregard the law and you clap for them. Some of you are the ladders and steps the irresponsible politicians climb to inflict citizens with misery and hardship. How can you unashamedly justify lawmakers who disregarded the constitution by decamping from the party that sponsored them, and blatantly tell us that their move was correct? Even the biggest lawyers in the country have unequivocally stated that the 27 lost their seats by their greedy move. Now go and reverse what has been constitutionally done by the 4 please. Or maybe you can get PDP to stop the court from ensuring that the constitutional provision regarding the vacation of the seats should not be followed. To you, it was right for the 27 to initiate the impeachment against the governor, with no evidence of a wrongdoing. How you fellows blindly follow horrible leaders, need to be studied. |
In the face of the act of cowardice by Fubara, this young man displayed the character of integrity. For whatever played out behind the scene leading to his resignation, Edison must be commended. When Fubara chickened out, Edison stood out as a true defender of democracy. That’s what true leadership should exemplify. Can we rightly say that Rivers state house of assembly has a speaker as it stands, with the resignation of Edison who was legitimately the speaker? Hopefully the others who by their irresponsible acts of decamping from PDP to APC should follow the path of honor by returning to their homes and constituencies. They by law are no longer members of the house. Hopefully after wasting the time of their constituents, they will return all the amounts illegality paid to them. By now Nigeria should be growing beyond the antics of political godfathers. No place should be given to men who after their tenures, want to hold their states by the scuff of the neck financially. |
SALLYBERRY01:Exactly. No reasonable person wants these yeye “gifts” from serving office holders. All people want is to attract developments to their areas. Create jobs for people and let them feed themselves. Make farms accessible and safe. Make the roads motorable and very secure. Make food cheaper and life better. That’s all decent Nigerians demand. |
So we can all now see how people turn themselves into godfathers. We can see that all that they want is complete control over the state. All they want is power and their own share of the state resources. The little resources that come to the states are not utilized because of these greedy politicians. Shamelessly a Aregbesola has openly talked about taking one third of positions. This is the same story currently as Wike’s. Until Nigerians rise up and demand accountability, they will continue to suffer with these wicked leaders. |
happney65:You got it 100%. Razak Okoya, a well known name since the 1970s. Maybe the oju aye security man was not even born by then. A far bigger name in those days than Tinubu himself. |
Omoawoke:Well planned. Well organized. Very entertaining. Made to look very real. Fans want to see such great entertainment, especially at this period. Compliments bro. |
Great entertainment from both guys. Hopefully after this promo, the rematch will not delay. Just like they both promoted the first “fight”, I hope the next entertainment will be better. Please everyone do not forget that they are both great friends and showmen. While we are made to think that the fights are real or born out of animosity, the two guys smile to the bank with millions from their fans. We need such entertainment to ease the societal pressures that we face. Compliments of the season to everyone on Nairaland. |
OBTOREPA:Very correct. Now take notice about the comments so far. Notice those who have made most comments and their region. Take tribalism off this platform and you have succeeded in taking away plenty irresponsible youths, whose only stock in trade is abuse. Also you would have succeeded in properly getting only decent people to discourse with decorum and respect. With no opportunity to abuse, the truly lazy youths will walk away from the platform. |
OP please add pictures if you have any to make this more interesting to read. Is there any news about Uga-Idemmili-Ossomala road? Thank you very much for this. |
Not bad. Every reasonable man’s dream. To see his children’s children!s children. |
Cromagnon:So you cannot collect a gift that you did not beg for? Bros na wah for you sef. Abi na candle you hold for hand dey see road? |
Great0ne1:What has being a graduate to do with daily family occurrences please? What has education got to do with common sense here please? So Emeka found his properties with the documents that he got from where? Are you not in this country where omoniles sell peoples lands while they reside in the same properties? “imaginary property back through the court”? And you claim to be a Nigerian? And you have not heard of juju used on people over their properties? Truly there is no need to go back and forth as you said earlier. Emeka’s wife told you that she is not in possession of her husband’s properties? Maybe you have not experienced women who packed out of their matrimonial homes, clearing all the properties and leaving the house absolutely empty. You have not heard of men starting from the scratch? Truly no need to go back and forth with you. |
Great0ne1:Can you know more than the man in his personal matter? When he says that his wife took his school, he definitely knew what he meant. It was all over the press when the school had issues with the court about 2013, but we were told that they had sorted it out, until the separation. Your first comment was that the school was in a “rented apartment”, and I then responded. You cannot look at such a large structure and call it an apartment. Divorce is not a stroll in the park. Detaching emotionally from someone you love or loved is not that simple. That’s what we are all witnessing. The son is pained that his father remarried. The wife is pained that her bad wish for the man did not come to pass. The man also does not wish anything good for the woman. Emeka’s words were that he left the school in the care of his wife, even though it was in the public domain way back in 2013 that they both were running the school. At the same time he said that he rented an apartment close to the school to enable him attend to emergency matters, even as he had a personal house in Ogudu. Big actors are found largely at the movie locations and hardly have time for family and other businesses. Did you not listen to the area where he said that all his property documents were taken away by his wife while he was away in America shooting movies? Did you not read that his wife buried her mom alone, not involving her own siblings? See, when marriages have issues, we look at the two people in it. We look at the remote and immediate causes. For me absence from home for long periods was a major factor that caused their rift. When you have spent your money sponsoring a woman to school; build a house for her parents; pay the family bills, there are certain expectations from that same woman. The most important are three words, loyalty, love and respect. He may be a wife beater and a drug user, but the truth remains that he is not by any means a poor man. His son could painfully have witnessed his father beat up his mother. However he should have sought wise counsel and closed the gap between his parents. Men do the major work of financing the home, but women sentimentally separate the children from their fathers. This case certainly is not different. |
dinachi:Ode. Shame will not let your likes mention their states. Why not look at Plateau state where armed gangs killed over 200 innocent citizens on Christmas Day. You think such calamities are things to joke with. Mumu. |
adicius:Who loses when you do not buy? Stop forming here. You cannot avoid it. Note the following: 1. The phone in your hand na dem. 2. The laptop you use na dem 3. The korope, danfos, marwas, etc, na dem 4. The spare parts to maintain the buses na dem 5. The roofing material where you live na dem 6. The electricals/electronics you use na dem 7. The building material where you live na dem 8. The plumbing materials na dem 9. The pots/plates/spoons you use na dem 10. The towel you bath with na dem 11. They are your President, boss, commanders in chief. Na jealousy no let you get peace of mind o. |
Ray369:That’s even far better than you. Have you not heard that you are an NFA? |
Cromagnon:Giving kerosene at least helps with cooking what they have. No one ever begged for that. It is far better than standing at the door of one man, professionally begging and crying for food. |
akpumping7720:Na Lagos school my brother. The entire nation means that Lagos has all Nigerians of all tribes resident and doing their businesses there. That also includes foreigners. Lagos has been there for centuries. They all pay their taxes and grow the state. Can you by any imagination compare Lagos with Ekiti? Their budgets and IGRs will never be the same. Lagos must be compared with the likes of Johannesburg. |
Great0ne1:Please take your time to read the story and follow up very well. Take your time to study about horrible wives home and abroad and see what they are capable to do. Even if the school was worth 1m, it was largely in the care of his wife. Did she run it properly? I presently have the case of a woman who ruined the business belonging to the husband in Ireland worth over 500m and yet she is proud. What you sow, you reap. Children are largely always on the side of their mothers. The son uses his father’s name to trend. Unfortunately he is on the bad and dangerous path. |
Basic123:No na obatala dynasty. |
gbemishile:Unfortunately Southwest belongs to all. 1. The IGR na dem dey grow am 2. The cry na una cry am pass 3. Matches, pepper, tomatoes, na una dey beg pass 4. Una women na dem control am pass You see as una life dey completely dominated? Na dem be una oga for life. |
