chigoziri2403:They are quarter-caste. |
Chongaiman:What does that mean? |
Nigerian youth are not getting the message because the elites and political class have caged them. The same old political class has been reycling themselves and their cronies since 1960. If we don't open up the political space we are never going to experience true democracy. Nigerian youth are divided and not bothered about the "Nigerian Project". They don't know what is obtainable. Perhaps few do, but many don't care. The suffering is just normal to them. An average youth would rather be living on Nairabet than to have a legit job. They are the laziest of the world's youth. I respect this 22yrs old chap. I respect their ideas and vision. |
KINGYAGAA:It's a tough one to expect an official congratulatulatory message from Nigerian government. Like someone said He is not a "national emblem". Although we are happy he appreciates his Origin that's why we are happy to associate with him too. I bet you, if Nigeria national anthem was played yesterday too just like they played Mexico's, Nigerian government would have been the first to reach out. Don't expect Nigerian government to behave like a "poor dog" eating crumbles fallen from the British table. Governance has to be devoid of sentiments. Facts are important in government dealings. |
nemelu123:Don't mind the guy. He doesn't know what "Origin" means. Did Kenyans not carry Obama for head when he became president? |
Atouke:I will. Uyo is a beautiful place. |
Atouke:Do you really see any Christmas around? I'm a Christian thou. I'm only expressing my heart out. This is not how Christmas used to be. To be honest with you, I've not heard the sound of "Jingle bell" not even from the ice-cream seller. Today, I had to change my phone ringtone to "Jingle Bell" just to have the Christmas feel. What the eF am I saying.....? The political class are killing us in this country. They don't open up the political space. It's only them and their cronies since 1999. They keep recycling themselves. All you see Nigerian youth interested in...is enjoyment. "Bolanle....Pepper them, and those useless songs. They don't furking care about a true change. 2023, Polithiefians are still gonna bribe them with #5k. Political class have really constructed them mind such that all the Nigerian youth care about is immediate gratification. The youth are even oblivious of the power in their numbers. I'm not supporting any, but I'm deeply and sadly shocked when I see Nigerian youths cannot even rally behind the likes of Moghalu. The polical class and elites have really caged the youths of this country. Back to Christmas story? Does it look like any Christmas in the corner in Nigeria? This is not what Christmas used to look like. There's no single Xmas tree anywhere in my Local government. This is purely a reflection of the hardship in the country, which I personally blame the youth for. They want enjoyments and "jollification" but they are the laziest of youth in the entire world. Quote me anywhere "Nigerian youth (including me) are the laziest in the entire world. We are not ready for the Nigeria we dreamt off. |
Atouke:Bros, I'm not talking about laziness in terms of what you are thinking. The truth is Nigerian youth don't seem to have interest in the "Nigeria Project" Do you know the youth can Revolutionalise this country if they really care. But the truth is, the political class and elites have really tamed them. They don't even bother. All they care is to play and win Nairabet every wkend. Sincerely, I weep every now and then when I think of our situation, especially when I know the youth can turn things around. |
Atouke:We like fun, but we are furking lazy youth January to December! The youths are the one killing this country. And I'm maintain, until the youth wakes up, this country will not move forward! |
naijadrivablog:The bold is your sole aim of writing this story. You need to learn how to detach your emotions and stay neutral when reporting. Don't be like CNN trying to axe down Trump since 2016! |
cRobo:No playing of music in the car. |
damble:God's general! Ok. If not that I've said I won't insult ppl again on this platform, I would have said you are the most gullible and moronic person on earth. |
LegendHero:Don't mind them. It's because Sowore doesn't belong to their political caucus. The good thing is Sowore has passed the message, even if he doesn't lead the RVLN it's only a matter of time. We are sitting on a keg of gun-powder in this country. The youth uprising is going to be massive when the time comes. |
gidgiddy:Don't mind him. Bubu himself should be tried for staging a coup as a military in 1983. What could be more treason than that? |
SLAP44:Yes ooo. It's only a matter of time. The Revolution idea has been planted already. There's no stopping it unless the government yield to the cries of the people. It's even sooner than we think! |
YungMillionaire:I definitely will vote for you or anyone that can do those two things |
Solsix:We have seen how u treated our illustrus sons. Awo and MKO. We don't want any of our sons and daughters to killed like chickens again. We don wise up for SW. We go cook this one well in our Ogun and Obatala shrine b4 we release am for president. For now we have Tinubu ready for 2023. This change must continue till 2031! We never see anything for this country! |
You....lol |
Bobbystanley:? |
Freehuman:I'm trying to see where to categorise this..... Hate Speech Or Blasphemy? Either case, Bubu's swords or hangmen are waiting when that bill is passed! |
Jubal01:Every situation in Nigeria is a pressing need. If they have union, the requirements of the Union should be met. Teaching is a very noble profession, but when we allow all and sundry to teach without the requisite requirement, we make a mockery of ourselves. We need to press so many reset buttons in several sectors in Nigeria. |
sbashir10:After making a very good report, u decided to spoil it with the last paragraph! Why are you so negative and shallow minded? Were you expecting people to complain? It is clear ur ultimate motive of the whole write-up is summarised in that last paragraph. You just wanted to steer unnecessary religious sentiments and trouble. I think government should be vetting all posting on social media before allowing it to be disseminated. |
This is the problem! We stigmatize them so much that they see themselves as condemned. We pass death judgement on them rather than embrace and celebrate them. Meanwhile, Malaria kills if not 10times than HIV. But because the society has come to see HIV as death sentence, they strongly believe they will have no hope than to abscond! |
johnwell:Idiot! That's what u are! So u don't know there are people that are not attracted to the opposite sex? Smh 4 u! |
Give us the figures, let's know how they stand! |
olakunle5296:Biologically wired has been the main reason. Times have changed and so are people. We just have to allow them as long as they don't infringe on the right of others. |
ademidedavid:Enjoyment of the thing is in the mind. And yes, Stick and stick can indeed enyoy themselves even better. The world has gone beyond this thing that they are arresting them for. We need to understand that some people are biologically wired like that. Even if you lock them up with a naked figure 8, the stick will not rise. Its not a disease, it's the reality of this modern world. These people may pay the price now, but I can bet you it's only a matter of time before we accept them for who they are. The LGBTQIA community also have right. If we deny them of what they have come to enjoy because of their biological configuration...,we are invariably saying they should kill themselves. There are already Presidents and Prime ministers that are not wired straight. If we are truly democratic, we should allow them their rights What they do in their closets is nobody's business. |
maasoap:Abeg go! Kill all the dogs and baboon. |
maasoap:Are u better than the people clamouring for Animal right? |
emkz:My brother....I've said this same thing before too. I'm still wondering while we (youth...myself included) are so tamed. The only answer I could find is that "The Elites do not want the masses to be liberated". The Elites are profiting from the backwardness of the masses. So, they will not give them good and adequate education that will empower and embolden them to fight for their rights. Even the so called "right" they don't even want us to have any. The Elites dangle a very big carrot and also hold a long stick to control the hungry masses. They institute poverty for their own selfish gains. So anyone that makes effort to reach for the carrot must have really been lashed. Trust me. The masses are technically tamed/controlled. We are the only people that will have opportunities to change a bad government every 4years, but will still vote for a worst one. They will receive #2000 carrots and sell their votes. We need the likes of Sowore that's demanding for better governance. Our current youth will not. They will rather play Nairabet, sniff ganja and drink tramadol. Yahoo-yahoo is now legitimate business. The ladies want quick money...so prostituting pays them. The Elites are in perfect control and are also not ready to make things better for the masses. |
I'm just thinking...what of cars with Android Navigation system? They should yank the thing off right? I don't know if FRSC has done adequate research or even consult with Google before coming up with this position. Foremost, FRSC appears to be ignorant of the fact that every Google map users signed a term and condition for its use. I cannot think of any point FRSC may want to raise that are not clearly contained in the gmap terms and conditions. The use of phones generally while driving is bad. Gmap should not have been specifically highlighted. There are other apps and systems in use for similar purpose. Having said that, FRSC also failed to realise that Gmap is just an Aid to Navigation. And as an aid, extreme caution is required by the user. This is also explicitly stated in Gmap terms and conditions which the user signed to. FRSC should bear in mind that traffic management is not limited to road patrolling and petty administrative works and bogus or general statements like this. Personally, I would expect them to work in tandem with all the SatNAV providers with aim to finding a better solution. Car manufacturers appears to be taking all these feedbacks and complains into consideration in that some modern cars come with this "Aid to Navigation", even so...it is still at the users discretion and extreme caution is required. FRSC can push the case of speed limiter to car manufacturers, customs, car dealers et al such that every car bound for Nigeria comes with an already installed/factory fitted speed limiter. If this is not done, it will appear the agency has gone to China to procure "Speed Limiters" to market to Nigerians. We've seen the case of "retro-reflective tapes" and how it ended! FRSC should start by ensuring that adequate road signage, maps, street name plates, directional signs etc are all in place. They should partner with appropriate agencies to ensure that road and traffic management is seemless. Thence, they can easily come strong on their position regarding the use of Gmap and Speed limiter. |
YorubaPrince:Don't join words with people like that. You should have just asked him for proof of his statistics. |
