Oga how now?

Subsidy that he removed has made prices skyrocket and increased the cost of living, devaluing the Naira has reduced purchasing power

Pls enlighten me on how this has ensured progress for the country
The reason why there is so much hardship in the 1st place is subsidy and bad forex management. The 1st step is to stop was is causing the pain, it does not mean the pain will stop immediately but it means the pain will not get any worse and over time things will get better.

The reason why there are no jobs is because the people that create jobs (investors) all stopped investing in Nigeria. Investors (both local and foreign) ran away from investing in Nigeria was because they couldn’t get their money out, a good case in point is Emirates Airline, hat has close to $1b stuck in Nigeria it couldn’t get out. As a result it banned Air peace from Dubai (which means Air peace can’t make forex from Dubai customers) and banned visas to Nigeria. Investors create jobs, without the jobs unemployment rises and suffering rises. Another was are portfolio investors who invest in our stock and bond market. When they had problems getting their money out they stopped investing in Nigeria. The inflow of foreign portfolio investment (aka dollars) was a big source of foreign exchange that dried up under Buhari. As for subsidy, it is on record that we have already saved N400b in just 30 days. That is more money for social programmes, , increased salaries, education, infrastructure health education etc.

think about it, Lagos-Ibadan rail cost $2b (or N1.4 trillion at todays exchange rate). We had to borrow the money because we were spending all our money on subsidy…that was going to neighboring countries. Yet in just 3 and a half months we will have saved bough money to build another Lagos Ibadan rail line without having to borrow. All the money we spent on subsidy, do we have anything to show for it? If we had spent the subsidy money on infrastructure or education, at least we would be able to point to where the money went.

I saw the interview. He also said it was wrong to have 100 Major Generals in the 1st place, the military is too top heavy, that many of them don’t come to work and nobody notices. He also said that in any graduating set of officers anywhere in the world, only about 4% make it to the top ranks but in Nigeria in any graduating set about 43% become major generals….and that it should not be so. That’s why there are major generals and no one knows what they do. He also said a major general is not someone you come across every day but in Nigeria, they are all over the place effectively saying we have devalued the rank of major general.

I never wanted to say anything about it but I feel for Chioma. With the fact that she lost her son, she is losing everywhere. Other baby mamas are not saying anything because they already have a tie with Davido (las las, the 30GB go reach their side). I just hope she gets pregnant and give birth soon so that she will have something. I still support Hakim's ex wife for demanding such amount of money and properties from him because you can't cheat on me and go free. I must be compensated

As a woman, once you accept that men are naturally promiscuous, you will have peace of mind.

My advice for women is that before you get married, have a life. With this, you won't be bothered if your man is acting disgraceful.

Men, what do you want?
Men, is true that you have a community diiçk?
Why are you feeling for Chioma, is anyone forcing her to stay? Was Davido not a known dog before she married him? Why did she marry him? Wetim she Dey find, she don see. By the way Davido does not represent all men, as a man I am disgusted with him. It is one thing to cheat it is another to cheat with blatant disrespect for yourself and your wife.

Life is about choices. Men cheat but she chose to marry a dog, a man without self respect because of status fame and fortune…this are the consequences of making wrong choices.

Strong bi ti bawo? If she was strong, she would not take all this disrespect and walk away. If he wasn’t Davido would she still be in the relationship taking all this disrespect and humiliation? Is there a child keeping her in the marriage? The answer is no the reason she is staying is because she is weak to the status fame and fortune. This is not strength this is weakness. I am a man, men cheat, men have side chicks, but we do it with some modicum of dignity and respect for ourselves and our wives…..this is disrespectful. Your husband is sticking his raw dick inside random skanky women getting them pregnant up and down…. Is that strength? There is no child between them she can walk away if she is truly strong. I understand your explanation very well and am not ignorant of it either ,but I want to believe this is the excuse our leaders give to avoid accountability

Make ask in line with your explanation who funds NNPC Or where does NNPC get the money to import the fuel or his NNPC getting the fuel in credit from the foreign refinery ?
NNPC is a separate entity even though it is owned by the government and has its own independent finances. It has been the one carrying the burden of subsidy on behalf of the govt. The resultant effect of this is that not only was the remittance to the govt lower but the debt from subsidy is housed in NNPC as a debt owed to NNPC by the govt.

Actually I was totally wrong, not only do we excise ourselves from the subsidy burden, there will be increased income now that we are selling at the market rate. I believe even the FAC allocation for last month was up.

As for accountability, I think the effect of the Obi phenomenon is that all tiers of government will sit up. The fear is that he is a one time wonder, I doubt he will have the same impact next election cycle leading to complacency.

To do what ? All the savings on subsidy removal no do
I don’t think you and many others understand the subsidy savings. We were borrowing to fund subsidies and we couldn’t pay (govt owes NNPC for subsidies). What removal of subsidy does is to stop the borrowing for subsidies meaning we no longer have to borrow and incur debt to pay for subsidies (which we were not able to do anyway)

Our income has not increased, there is no “savings” all that removal does is our debt burden has reduced. There is no addition income or savings as a result of subsidy removal only less debt obligations.

It’s like your child has been in school and you’ve been owing school fees. In the last few years you’ve not been able to pay to fees but the debt is growing. Your child finishes school, so no more school fees but does that mean you have additional cash? No! It is only the man who was able to pay the school fees without borrowing or was able to pay the loan that will save money because the child has finished school. You didn’t have money to pay before, even though there is no more fees (subsidy). You still have no money.

Jennyclay:
Even the Bible says any man that can’t provide and take good care of his girlfriend/wife and children is worse than an infidel. Atleast men are to provide 97% for his girlfriend/wife.

A woman takes care of the home and you still expect her to bring something to the table. Haba!! Na wa!! undecided

If you as a man wants your woman to bring something to the table, then be ready to switch sides by taking care of the home while the woman goes out to provide for your lazy and broke self.
The problem with you Nigerians is that you think of everything in terms of money. A woman is not supposed to bring money to the table, that is not her role and only a wasteman is interested in a woman’s finances. You can have all the money in the world but struggle to find a good man because a good man is not interested in your money. This is why many “successful” women struggle to find or keep husbands, because usually being successful financially as a woman comes with knowingly or unknowingly developing an aggressive masculine energy. A man does not want that energy in his life. A man wants a woman for the traditional female energy and values, which is usually lost as a consequence of pursuing a career in a male dominated business/corporate world.

When people talk of what a woman brings to the table, they are not talking about finances, it is about what she does to add value to the relationship, it is about what female roles (non-financial) she brings to the table. For instance if a woman is not emotionally supportive, cannot cook, cannot take care of the home, is argumentative or is at an age when she can’t even have children etc etc then she is not bringing much to the table. That is what is meant by what are you bringing to the table….not money. If you watch the video properly, even the man who says women are not supposed to bring anything then talks about “the values she is supposed to bring”.

The problem with perpetrating this idea that women are not supposed to bring anything is that it encourages women who have little or no value to think they have value and they are entitled to a husband simply because they are women without regard to their traditional female roles and not to work on themselves.

The moment Tinubu survived that Lekki toll gate grand conspiracy, I knew he was the next President. That was the only event that could have killed his political career, the plotters just needed to actually kill a few youths and the plot would have succeeded, just like Saraki with the Offa robbery. God had his own special plan for the old man, they laboured in vain on that night.
Nah Tinubu became president the moment, Obi left PDP. Tinubu faced many hurdles along the way, e.g cabal and anointed candidate, Muslim Muslim ticket,, Osinbajo betrayal, CBN currency change etc etc. there were also defining moments like the Abeokuta declaration (Emilokan), the decision of the Northern governors but all of them would have counted for nothing if Obi had stayed in PDP. If Obi had not left PDP, Atiku would be president today and he would have won handsomely.

The biggest obstacle to Tinubu was overcoming the damage by association with 8 yrs of the Buhari administration and perception of APC in the eyes (pockets) of Nigerians. The minute Obi left PDP, that otherwise insurmountable obstacle was removed. The damage and perception still remained but those votes were split weakening their effect.

The irony is that the Lekki people are the ones that made Tinubu president by wasting their votes on Obi. They gave Obi the confidence to leave PDP.

You have only a few days left to present your witnesses, you claim to have 50 witnesses, you are yet to get to no 10. With precious little time left, you are presenting a quack witness to testify over a matter (irev) that the court has established less than 2 months ago in Osun that IREV has no relevance on the basis for an election petition only BVAS and EC8. I remember Obi supporters celebrating the cartons of evidence and the 50 witnesses. I can only come to the conclusion that Obi supporters are dumb and Obi knows it. It is clear he knows he can’t win and this is all a charade, unfortunately for him one that has already backfired. With less than a week to go, he has not even said anything about where he was supposedly rigged. He can’t because he knows he lost the election.

I really don't rate hypocrite like you.
If you like form coalition with devil, na you go still fall the victim.
If by Ahmed you mean Datti, then let me tell you something I know for a fact. Datti only became Obi’s VP because no other Northern politician would touch him. Many northern politicians were warned not to even think about it. I know this for a fact. When no one would agree to be his VP, a political lightweight in Datti was chosen by Obasanjo to run with Obi. Obi is unaccepted in the north and this was reflected in the votes he got In the North. That he chose a Northern VP does not mean it was a coalition. Datti is an irrelevance politically in the North. Has he ever won an election? Where is his base? He could have as well chose Musa the gate man from Katsina and say he has formed an alliance worth the North!

You accuse me of being emotional but your write up is all emotion and no substance. You ask why Tinubu chose a Muslim……because elections are a numbers game. He understand this basic fact, that is why he is president and Obi came 3rd. All this your ranting is why I don’t like to engage most of you ibos. You always miss the point and prefer to engage on a trajectory of emotion that is neither here nor there and you don’t learn and doom yourselves to repeat the same errors ad infinitum. I repeat elections is a numbers game, everything else is just noise. If there are hundred of me and fifty of you, you can make all the noise you want, appear on Tv as many times as you want, I will defeat you in any election without opening my mouth once, appearing at any tv station, debate or rally. So if you want to defeat me you need someone on my camp who can convert 26 of my followers to your side, not an irrelevant man in my camp who has no followers and who joining you has made him more important than he could ever have hoped in his wildest dreams. Datti gained 100 times more from Obi without adding anything g to Obi. So when you form alliances you form alliances with politicians that matter. Like Shettima said, your relevance in politics is established by your ability to deliver votes!!

The reaso. Why you never learn is you always miss the point. All your abuses and emotion is the reason why you always lose election s. Even when you come 1st you end up a junior partner like zik. Election is a numbers game….everything else is a side show just like Obis daily visits to PEPT

From your moniker, you are not a neutral. One thing I have learnt when dealing with many of you from the SE, is that your thought process often come from a place of tribe, ego and emotion, not logic, common sense or critical thinking. Therefore it is a waste of time engaging you any further. I have said what I needed to say. All the things we told you and you refused to hear have come to pass and I am also telling you now that Obi missed his chance to be president ( he should have stayed in PDP and he will be Vp today and president in 4 or 8 years). As it stands, he is damaging his brand everyday. I repeat he will not get 4m votes in any election in future. Check my post history, my predictions are always right. I have been spot on in my analysis of the elections and how they would pan out from day 1. It’s not that I am smarter than anyone or have any particular insight, it’s just I can take facts and data and analyze them without emotion and make an informed prediction or probability based on the facts. For instance I have been saying it for years that elections are simple arithmetic not emotion, rallies or noise. If you have more than your opponent, you win if you don’t you lose….it’s as simple as that. If you don’t have appeal in areas with huge populations, you are unlikely to win no matter how strong you are in your base. Nobody in the history of Nigeria has played ethnic or religious politics and and won an election or been able to form a government after getting the majority vote. Even Balewa and Shagari had to form coalition governments with the opposition parties. It is hard enough to defeat the incumbent party, an opposition that splits up has almost ZERO chance no matter how bad the incumbent party is…again it is simple mathematics. We have been used to 2 party politics since 1999, In a three horse race the dynamics are even different, you can become president without winning any state (I made a post about this at the time). All you need to do is get enough votes in many states, especially if you are running against local champions (people who will sweep a state or region but get nothing in other states or regions) also known as ethnic or religious candidates or losing at the roundabout what you gained on the straight road. A man who is picking up enough votes in most of the states will win also known as the man with the most spread will always win in a 3 horse race..and so it turned out to be. Neither Atiku or Obi came close to Tinubu’s 25% spread. And that is why he won and they lost.

INEC IReV Results have no standing if INEC can produce the authentic copies. But whatever is your defence, it ends in failure still, as the petitioner has clear copies of those results as issued to his agents by the presiding officer at the polling units.

As INEC criminally refuses to release those results, the court will have no choice but to accept the copies supplied by the petitioner. That was exactly how Hope Uzodinma became governor in Imo State.
Irev results have no legal standing whether you can or cannot produce the authentic copies. The only admissible prooof of election results are forms EC8 ( original or CTC) and BVAS. The court cannot accept what has no legal basis in law. It seems as if English comprehension is your problem….amongst other ailments.

comodo:
The same form EC8 INEC and APC objected to?? Or another one??
You clearly are very ignorant of court processes. It is the job of ANY defense lawyer in any case to object to everything they can object to…it’s standard procedure. Introducing something that has no relevance on the other hand is just a waste of the courts time. IREV has no legal status in the determination of the outcome of an election…it is simply a viewing portal for the public. Irev is not legal evidence or legally recognized as the results of an election, so wasting so much time and energy with irev in a time limited hearing is a sign of a weak case and playing to the gallery. The Supreme Court determined only recently in the case of Osun state that the ONLY basis for determination of an election is what is in the BVAS and EC8.

I am sure the defense did not object to the blurred irev results because they know it has no relevance to the case. There is nothing they can say about irev that affects the substance of the case because the law does not recognize Irev! They objected to the ones that are relevant, I.e EC8. Because that is where the case is. If you don’t object in the beginning, you cannot come later and object so you object to everything whether it hurts you or not. Like I said it is SOP in court. For instance, You call a witness, I don’t know what he is going to say, it may be good or bad but before he talks, it is my job to object to him as a witness. You need to understand that cases are won on substance and on technicalities and it is the job of a lawyer to cover all bases. For instance if you bring a case against me for an offense that is statute bound Or evidence that was improperly obtained, it is the job of a lawyer to object based on technicality before it even gets to the substance of the case I.e whether I am guilty or not. If I can disqualify a witness even though I am innocent, why not? That is the reason you are witnessing to many objections by the defense, it doesn’t mean Obi has a case or the defense lawyers are afraid or Obi is winning his case. If anything, resorting to legal irrelevance like irev shows he doesn’t have a strong case because of he did he wouldn’t waste time with irrelevance….don’t forget there is a time limit and the judges have already warned them on several occasions that they are waisting time. Only yesterday they were warned that they have 50 witnesses, they have only called 2 and time is going.
