I was almost accused of kidnapping when the police turned it upside down. That how did I end with the kids for years if not kidnap. My image and that of my family in the area was seriously dented. Thankfully we treated the kids well and they wore the same clothes mine wore and eat the same meal so many people in the community knew it was a ploy. But the experience is one that seriously damaged my soul.

Been reading some comments on this platform and I can tell u I get scared anytime I think of marriage or falling into a relationship . What really happened to our girls?
I'm not tryna sound like a holy person or I dont enjoy being crazy at times but there are times in your life you need to tell yourself the truth and act a lil decent. If you are familiar with most of these new live video chat applications, you will be marveled at the rate Nigerian ladies show off their body to the world . like I earlier said , I'm not a holy person but it beats my imagination that some of these ladies have serious dates,some are engaged, some are mothers and some are willing to get married in the future. the crazy truth these ladies dont understand is 85 percent of guys that wanna get crazy with you and spend on you wont want to spend the rest of their life with u. I was a live chat earlier this week ,a lady between the age range of 25 - 28 was just saying all sorts of crazy stuff and flaunting her body. Is it money that pushes them to do all this stuff on social media .
Here in Abu dhabi,70 percent of Nigerian ladies engage in prostitution, u really need to hear what my colleague( Afghanistan ) feels about our ladies. I asked one sex worker if she doesn't want to get a job here she was like she makes the money the company pays in a month in a week. This lady in question has a guy in Nigeria oooo. I came to the final conclusion that I ain't searching for a Nigerian to date over here.
entitlement mentality is crazy especially when our women make it sound like they are supposed to be provided with everything and live like its heaven on earth. Women build houses,women buy cars, women own companies too. It's not only a man's world when it comes in term of spending. I cant say what happened to our girls but our mothers were very hardworking, supportive,loving and understanding and sincerely my mum made see life from a positive angle that ladies can also make it big. Our mothers never advertised boobs they never had Facebook,Twitter or video chat apps but they always Carried a trademark of decency.
Please ladies money is important (very) but dont make it seem like your life revolves around it. I could remember a movie (acrimony ), 80 percent of our ladies wont go through what that lady went through. love is not only enjoyment, love is tough ,love is enduring, love is pain in addition.... please our ladies make una try abeg...

Also come to Nigeria and see a lot of boys roaming on the streets with nothing meaningful doing but drugs and internet fraud.They go about with dread locks and sagged dirty looking jeans. Whose daughters and sisters is going to marry them? Don't make it look like the world problem centre's on Nigerian girls! The society as a whole should look within. Is it only the girl child that should prepare themselves for marriage? What about drug abusers, yahoo guys and miscreant? Are they going to be eunuchs? Who will marry them... It is the same girls and ladies in your households that would fall victims to them in marriage! It takes both a husband and a wife to make a marriage work! Recently, the increase in armed robberies and banditry has become a disturbing trend in Nigeria. It is even more horrendous when the men of the underworld not only steal when they attack but will also rape any unfortunate female caught in the invasion. My wife and I were watching a real life crime documentary one evening and in the documentary, a lady was shot and killed after resisting rape advances from 6 men who invaded her residence.
Fortunately, the criminals were later caught using forensic evidence and paraded by law enforcement. These men were tough looking strongly built men who no doubts would have torn the lady apart if they had succeeded in raping her.

However, the shocker was when my wife of 4 years said, and I quote “she just died for nothing and has caused her family a lot of grief...if it were me, I would just let them have their way and live to see another day”. Although this sounded very right, it also sounded very wrong at the same time and has since been messing with my head as I cannot get the picture out of my mind. We could both see that they were 6 hefty men and yet she felt she should have................ladies, am I over reacting and men, what do you think? How can something feel so right and so wrong simultaneously??

Good evening all.

I just opened this thread to seek for opinion of what have been bothering my mind .

No1 .I have a baby mama staying with me for the past 6 years .We have been together for long and we live peacefully but on some occasions ,she gets on my nerve and I am the type that forgive easily couple with the fact that I love her .We ain't married yet because anytime she offends me ,it really hurt me and I keep punishing her by extending when we are going to make the coexistence official .I have a boy who is close to 3 years .

I am working as a salary earner but not getting enough pay as salary .Today ,I went to her shop .I needed #8,000 to be sent to her account to make some online payment because my ATM was not with me. I have the money as cash and my wife was to help me pay the money into her account so that I can use her card (Note that i call her wife and i do that anywhere even on social media ).My wife supposed to go to the next POS shop to pay the money into her account but she paid in #5,000 .She actually have money in her account to balance up my #8,000 but what surprised me is that when I tried to check how much she paid into her account ,I discovered a man (igbo by name ) sent #4,000 to her of recent and she still have the money in her account .I mentioned igbo because our families are not even related to igbo tribe .When I tried to hold to her phone very well ,she started dragging the phone with me .With this ,I know something was not right I just kept quiet Even till now ,I did not say anything (very unusual of me ).I later went out .I just came in now about to sleep.I rejected her dinner just now. .

I noticed for over three months now ,she have been so expert in kissing .Things we were not good at before but I didnt even raise an eyebrow about that though till now .I thought she learnt that through telemundo or whatever .I work in lagos and we live in lagos .Though sometimes,I may decide to spend 2 or 3 days at work but most times I come home everyday .

My point is that my landlord gave me 3-month quit notice and I am planning to relocate before April ending .I am thinking of not taking her along .My son is on holiday with my wife mother .I hope I will not be making a grievous mistake packing my things and leaving her behind to go back to her parent house .Anytime she offends me ,I feel so hurt and betrayed .This is someone I am owing a lot of people some money because I needed to get a shop for her and all my salary since I know her have always been spent on her and my son.Sometimes ,I send money to her relatives though I have stopped that anyway.

I plan to leave her behind and keep sending to her to take care of my son.I plan to only pick some essential items in the mini flat we presently leave .

I only want to start afresh.

Is it that you can not have a 'heart to heart talk' with her? It appears you are no longer attracted to her reason why you are letting grudges linger. Bringing your relationship challenges to Nairaland will only cause you more heartache!
