In a marriage institution of a man & woman, there cant be equal partners, never. Someone has to be the senior partner for a successful marriage.

Some females want to get married and still retain the concept of equal partnership in marriage, it is delusion in my opinion. There must be a head in a marriage, the head ought to be make the final decision, or (s)he delegates the final decision in certain matters.

Double standards everywhere:

Those that said PMB has just spend 9 months are the ones accusing Wike of sleeping on the job.
While those that are calling for PMB's head after 9 months in office are the one supporting Wike and blaming Amaechi for this.

My people when are we going to be sincere with ourselves and stand for the truth and nothing but the truth?
I learnt the governor has borrowed close to a hundred billion naira in 9 months , maybe we can ask questions on that basis. I dont think those borrowed funds were used to pay wages of workers.

PDP will lose at least 2 more states from the 13 states it currently occupies before the 2019 election, it will happen through decampment and bye elections in some states. A party with 11 states , which has no Lagos or Kano in it can not win National election. The failure of PDP will start from the structure, irrespective of APC's performance. APC could not have won the 2015 election without the 5 pdp governors who joined. Things will get worse for PDP as the year progresses, 3 more years will prove me right.

Africans are poor planners, and most choose to pray where they ought to plan and then pray.

If a woman gets pregnant , which is a 9 months assignment, the husband ought to be aware at least 7 out of the 9 months and start preparation for eventualities on delivery day, which should include financial preparation, but many do not plan for complications, God forgive me if i am judgmental.

We barely plan for anything, we love to wing it, hoping for miracles and luck, but life do not operate 100% that way.

A man and a woman will keep churning babies they cant take good care of after birth, they spend loads of money to celebrate childbirth ceremony, and poverty stays as a vicious cycle within the family.
Parents and guardians sent their children and wards to learn a trade for years, big party is thrown by parents at freedom, but no plan by the parents to equip the child with the working tools to set up. Several examples abound. This shallow thinking spreads across the social strata though it is prevalent amongs the poor.

[s]What the hell is wrong with you Nigerians ? Cant you guys think or what?
Who the hell is talking about gej? For your information every government inherits problems but no sensible normal human being willl be blaming past president for todays problem. If you keep referring to gej ,that means your brains is still in the past and not in the present. Even buhari himself is no longer talking about gej or pdp,he is focussed on the task at hand now and challenges of the future. The major problem buhari has is that you cant give what you don't have ,buhari hasn't got the ability to rule Nigeria in a democratic way because he is simply not equipped for it .[/s]
Yes, GEJ's failures will always come up, most expecially when his army of supporters are the critics of the current day government. Obama admin never failed to remind his critics of the infamous decision of the bush's admin decision to go to war in iraq .

When you talk about low power supply, and blame a less than 10 months admin, we will be forced to ask you what happened to the constant power supply by GEJ in 5 and half years in an oil boom era?

Where are the refineries that could have stopped importation of refined oil products for over 5 years of GEJ in an oil boom era?

Most of you lots only want to deride him and subconciously see him fail to satisfy your shattered ego.
Politics › Re: Why Nigerians Have Tortoise Mentality- Luke Onyekakeyah by chinchum(m): 8:55am On Mar 22, 2016
The problem is that the losers at 2015 election have failed to get over the loss, infact the polity is still similar to the election period, seriously heated up. When the writer said Nigerians overwhelmingly bought in to the change mantra, i am forced to disagree , 45% of Nigerians did not at the polls, and they were not evenly skewed across the country , a bulk of those are sad, and subconsciously or even consciously for some wants to scorn at the decision of the 55% others, by seeing Buhari fail to fill the void in their shattered ego. GEJ was vice president of the country from 2007-2010, and president 2010-2015. GEJ had all the headstart he could get even as president before may 2011. Buhari has had a turbulent first 10 months in office, majorly due to the dip in the nations revenue and foreign exchange earnings, and it is only fair to put that in context in assessing him so far. he had a 48 months mandate, 10 months down, i think he has over 30 months left to get a lot done.

Politics › Re: How Sahara Reporters Goofed On Assasination Attempt On Rivers Chief Of Staff(pix by chinchum(m): 7:51am On Mar 21, 2016
I think it is this junk blog site that has twisted SR report of the incident.

Below is how SR presented the news, and it clearly mentioned injury to the aide, no where did it mention that dakuku sustained gunshot wounds.

The Department of State Security in Rivers state has thwarted an assassination attempt on Peterside Dakuku, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in last year’s guber election in the state and reportedly arrested ChukwuEmeka Woke, the Chief of Staff to Governor Nyesom Wike for leading a killer squad in two Sport Utility Vehicles that trailed and opened fire on Mr. Dakuku.

According to a press release issued by Mr. Dakuku’s office, the gunmen trailed him from Aba Road as he drove towards his house in the GRA area of Port Harcourt, but as his car made to turn towards the GRA entrance to his home, the gunmen drove aggressively hoping to overtake his car.
Mr. Dakuku then changed course and drove to the state headquarters of the DSS as his security aide had already radioed for help.

Soon as Dakuku was allowed into the premises of the DSS, officers at the gate reportedly opened fire on the two SUVs trailing him and succeeded in demobilizing the care and got some of the occupants including Mr. Woke arrested.

One of Mr. Dakuku’s security aides was seriously injured as a result of exchange gunfire during the thirty-minute long encounter.

That Nigeria could survive in 1999 with $3bn reserve and $9 oil price does not necessarily mean the $30bn inherited in 2016 is better. Remember we now have much much higher bills to pay (salaries etc) and there is a much higher demand for forex .
Offcourse, the Nigerian budget in 1999 was less than a trillion naira, i remember it was about 980 billion naira then, compared to a proposed 6 thrillion naira now.

so oga who will he rule in the next twelve months when his citizens would have died all of hunger. what we should be asking is what did he use the money for. bis a vis the physical priject on ground.
It is a shame he as the head got the state in to a fix, i have a feeling there were cases of financial mismanagement though i am certain of poor planning, if allocation from FG was still high, he would have had the state's financial status out of the miry clay it is currently sunked in. However, i believe no one will die of hunger, from what i gathered, Osun state workers have not been paid for the last 2months , and some only paid half salary from july -dec 2015 , i feel he will be forced to get his state's igr, while hoping FG's revenue bolsters which correlates to increased FG allocation for his state. Many states not even in worse dire straits as osun state have not paid in the last 3-5 months. I was surprised to hear Ondo state last paid salaries to workers since october 2015.

I lost interest in the reading when i saw him call obj an igbo man, but to satisfy all righteousness skimmed through the article, the writer is surely deluded. I must confess his narratives suit the wishes of some, but those wishes will only live and die in their heads.

This is the effect of hatred on a man, it makes you believe your hallucinations about the man are real.
Politics › Re: ALERT: Osun State Will NOT Pay March Salaries - Thecable. by chinchum(m): 10:49pm On Mar 18, 2016
I will like to know how much debt Osun state has left to pay, but if Osun is using almost 2.5 billion naira to service debts monthly, i have a feeling it would be out of the woods in less than 12 months, and it would be left with minimal service of debts.
Politics › Re: Osun State Allocation For February Is N6M by chinchum(m): 1:51pm On Mar 18, 2016
bettercreature:
Why osun is getting just 600million is beyond my understanding
it is 6 million, not 600 million.

Osun states debt is serviced straight from the FG allocation, what is left is then given to the state, with dwindling FG revenue , FG's allocation to states will also drop.

1.9 milion votes in Kano for APC, but 1.4 million votes in rivers, 1.3 million votes in delta all for PDP all looks right to you right?

Your ilks are what JEGA was referring to. Officially, Kano is the most populated state, it had close to 5 million pvcs collected, roughly 50% of those who collected PVCs voted on election day.

1. Southwest living peacefully received 66% of their voters' card.
2. Northeast who were largely in REFUGEE CAMPS received 85% of their voters' cards.
3. On Feb 14, voters cards for the Southwest & Southeast were yet to be delivered to INEC from printers in China.
4. On Feb 14 Jega had already DISTRIBUTED, or DEPOSITED with the Mosques and Emirs the voters' cards for the Northeast & Northwest.
5.
you keep churning out misinformation . who told you voters card for sw & se were yet to be delivered from china on feb 14? if there actually any yet to be delivered cards on feb . 14, it must be those who newly registered at the dine minute, which was a little percentage of the whole, it was more of ready but uncollected PVCs. I am in SW, i had collected my pvc since 2014, even ekiti and osun states had bye elections in 2014 using PVCS. Collection of pvc cards rate can be attributed to several factors, which could be voters apathy and relocation e.t.c

What is northeast were largely in refugee camps?. There are 6 north east states, 3 of it had relative peace, gombe, taraba and bauchi, of the other 3 states, it was not the whole part of the states that were engulfed by the insurgency, Also, some of the displaced camp, elections were held as PVCs were also distributed.

Stop whining, first you came up with distribution of 40% of pvc in SE, when actually over 85% collected., now it is NE in refugee camps.

Jega was actually referring to individuals with your kind of mindset, once something doesnt go your way, you keep convincing yourself with false reasons. The essence of being educated is to broaden your mind, and learn to see things objectively, but i have observed for many, even a dozen Phds will not cure them of your kind of illusion.
