Thank God for Nairaland. When my friends put to bed, I ask them how the experience is but ALL of them tell me 'when it is your turn you will see'. It's like a taboo to describe labour experience

But now I am here getting first hand information from folks I've never even met.

I know I will take an epidural when it's time because I have low pain threshold. If not i'd prolly bring the roof down, screaming like Hulk, or Tarzan.

You know, that position is actually a bad one. You are pushing against gravity and it becomes much more work and more painful. A woman should really be in her knees or sitting down. I know someone that they squatted her down in the U.K. to deliver and she said it was much easier to push.

Around 13 when she's approaching puberty, even then you are only explaining how her body is changing and how some useless men/boys would want to talk her into sex, planting it into her mind to vehemently refuse listening to them and making her see reasons to abstain, till she's mature enough to handle the responsibilities that comes with sex, not teaching her how to use a condom.

Just let him be. Don't worry him at home. Send messages to him through WhatsApp or sms telling him how much you yearn for his touch.

More importantly improve on the time you spend with him, pray with him and pray for him. And hopefully he will change.

Don't pick quarrels with him even if you perceive he his taking care of himself outside.

Understand that he is going through hard times.

I don't think they worry too much about that here. Watched the birth video of my friend and it was the same for her, they scooped it away so quick that blink and you would have missed it.

Gross I know but we both know there is nothing dignified about childbirth . All the shakara gets dropped at the door of the hospital to be picked up on the way out.

Sometimes(most times actually) the labour is spontaneous and the woman would have taken food so it can't be helped.You can only encourage the women to empty their bowels if they can.
When labour is active however,some women who think they want to poo are actually feeling the pressure of the baby coming without knowing and you have to discourage them from straining so they don't push when it's not yet time and end up with bad tears or other issues.
Quite a number of women poo and you just take it as part of the process.
The cleaners will do their job@bolded.

aha! So relax, if you can sit through it and watch them, you can do this. Lots of sex prior to your delivery will help keep that place flexible. Also, start doing your pelvic floor exercises if you haven't start so that you can push more effectively.

CAUTION: you will poo yourself..just thought I'd mention it because no one else has admitted to it
