What would you do if you are asked not to marry the one you love because she is from another part of the country?
For me, i love her and i must marry her.
Gosh will civilisation come home to you people? This is 2008, tell your parents to get with the program. If they dont want you to marry your true love, then ask them to marry you.

On a more serious note, continue letting them ruin your life, by trying to dictate your life. When you are 50 and still not married, take them by their ear and bite them as hard as you can.
RomanceRe: No True Love, No Peace Of Mind by CodeRED(f): 1:46pm On Aug 21, 2008
@Ori, once again you have nailed it dear wink. Excellent job.

It's such a pity that the lil boys, in big men clothes on the forum won't read such topics. LOL. grin grin

I will soon find my two NL boyfriends to have them read this, so our relationships can florish grin grin grin grin

The below mentioned is really really deep Ori,

Boyfriends who are maltreating their girlfriends like animals, please ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Love is not by force.
If you cannot give her peace of mind, then let her go in peace.
I BEG!
Haba!
Na wetin?
Bicos of sex, you dey vex!
Please, let her be.

The only conclusion that I can derive from those guilty of the above mentioned is that they either grew up in homes where their fathers constantly abused their moms, so they somehow have accepted it as normal. Or they themselves were abused. I pity them honestly.

As females we need to look for thos early warning signs. A man who laces and praises you with the same tongue should be avoided like a plague.
RomanceRe: Emotional Issues; Urgent Advice Needed by CodeRED(f): 1:37pm On Aug 21, 2008
@Topup, EXCELLENT write up girl. I applaud you wink. I also admire the OP for being honest that he is NOT a saint himself. Most men I know wont even admit that to themselves, furthermore make it public. Cowards, LOL.

Ola8:
NO Long talk,

she's not house wife material,

she can't love you without loving your family join if she truely love u.,
i beg quit the relationship because she will "NEVER" change.
This is such a silly and nonsensical statement, it has caused me upset stomach. Why must she Loves his family? Did the Bible stipulate such? I am not saying she should be rude to them or disrespectful, afterall respect is earned. SHe can appreciate and respect them, but there is NO law stating she must love them. The truth is there are some in-laws from hell. And instead of jumping on the girl's back, NO I am NOT in anyway condoning her behaviour.

The OP also needs to make it clear as to why his girl is reacting the way she is. I have a feeling he is not being 100% thorough. NO sane woman would just wake up and begin acting up without any valid reason. What has he been doing to trigger her behaviour? Too often men are guilty of provoking ladies, and we retaliate we are abled witches, Like I care,

My advise to the OP is to deal with his problem with his girlfriend. Take her away for a weekend and have a heart to heart talk with her. Listen ( a men deficiency) to what is bothering her and try to make ammends to the situation. Maybe, as I said, it's something you are doing that is causing her to react in that manner. If ALL have failed, and make sure you are NOT guilty of any sins yourself, then the onus is on you to walk. AS humans we can only take so much. Good Luck,

A man who wants to be treated as King should be willing to treat a woman as Queen.

Not the one that will treat you like shit and expects you to treat him like king?

My American sweetheart called me her Afrcan King and actually treated me like one until she complained that there were too many women waiting in the wings.

A man who wants to be treated as King should earn it.
PERIOD.
Ori, my dear Your momma did an excellent job ooo, You need to educate these "small" boys here ranting, who know nothing about the topic cheesy cheesy

Sweetie, just like some people NEVER grasp the contents in school, so too are some men. No amount of training will and can deliver them.  cheesy cheesy.
But as I earlier said, I have no problem treating my significant other like a "King".Which translates in my dictionary as, respect, love and admiration". However, it he is NOT worthy of such, then Hell NO cheesy cheesy. Why waste my energy trying to do what his mother didn't even bother to attempt?

Am d kind of guy that enjoys tickling, but i can't endure it because its, i know u can guess what i mean. But i would like to know how many guys can endure tickling when their babes do it to them and how they react to it. Cos my girl always get angry whenever she does it to me and i can't endure it. She tells me she enjoys it because its very romantic whenever i do it to her.
Seems you are ticklish then cheesy, Ok tell her, in a nice way, you dont like being tickled. I don't either. It can become annoyning sometimes,

LOL.funny thread indeed,

@topic
I have absolutely nothing against treating my man as "King". However, he must be deserving of such treatment. Why on earth would I treat a "dog"( true definition of MOST men) as a "king". And just to clear up any misconception, I DO treat mine like one. Sadly though, I had to "kiss a few toads before he came along" cheesy
RomanceRe: What Is "love?" Let's Define It! by CodeRED(f): 4:57pm On Aug 20, 2008

RomanceRe: Fight Or Keep Silent? by CodeRED(f): 4:50pm On Aug 20, 2008
First off, why is it that ladies, 99.9% of the times, ALWAYS want to or would fight a lady found with their men? Leave the girl along, poor girl was probably lied to as well, and go after the goat of a man. If he hadn't invited her there, she wouldn't have gone.

On a personal note though, I would walk away and hold my peace. You need to get rid of the guy. It's obvious he isnt worth keeping around. Only God knows where else he has been. Save yourself the drama, and let both of them be.

cyrusdevir:
Women also cheat n lie. Its not even at all
Seems you were having a hard time falling asleep, thus this nonsensical rant at that hour of the night.

Now show us where anyone has ever said women are exempt from cheating and/or lying. That's not what is of importance. The fact is Men were born to lie and cheat, and it's a shame how terrible they are at it sad sad.

FYI, women lie about the following:

1. Their size( shoe, clothes etc)

2. Some lie about Their age(they can either say they are older or younger than they really are)

3. The lenght of their hair( we all know the 100% Lugo is NOT their real hair)

4. Breasts/tummy tuck/lip and nose jobs, A number of them have gone under the knife, but will deny it even on their dying bed.

5. The true price of a merchandise. ( We know we didnt buy that new pair of miu miu on sale, but to prevent our spouses from bombarding us with questions, we simply lie,"honey it was 70% off)

NOW A MAN LIES about the following:

1. Where they work. Too many of them know they are either jobless or peddling something illegal. yet they will give you a run-down of their imaginary job on Wall street.

2. The girl they are seeing on the side. Even though ALL evidence points to them being the chaser, they will turn the story around claiming it's the girl who is chasing him,  lOL.

3 Their place of residency. Now too often I have heard guys telling me they own their cribs. Only to find out later, they are "begging a lodging " with a close friend or a relative.

4. Their financial worth. Hmmmm. I had one telling me recently he is worth a certain amount of money. Lo and behold, he couldnt even afford to take me out to a decent resturant. I had to foot the bill.

5. Their academic achievements. LOL. This one has to be the story of the century. I met this guy,NOT yet 30. He told me he has 4 under-grad degrees and presently completing his 2nd Masters. Now I aint hating o, just wondering,

6. Their sexcapades. Lord have mercy on them.  They will brag about shagging 100 women, yet they do NOT own or have ONE woman in their miserable
life.

, I am hopping to the gym. But will be back with more cheesy cheesy

Just when I thought finding the right guy was hard enough, now I gotta think about connection too?!?

Does anyone ever wish we could rewind back to the past when people were content with satisfactory relationships and marriages? We all think that what we see in the movies and big screen is now the rule, when in fact it is the exception. Being in a relationship isn't always going to be fireworks and love, it's hard work, probably boring at times, can be a drain, but it also has its high points too.

Now I gotta think of interests we have in common, physical attraction, education and life goals, but then if all of those meet, something such as 'connection' can throw that all away,

*sighs*
You make a lot of sense in this write up dear. I must admit that I never knew relationships can be this tedious and stressful. My mom always told me as a child, NOTHING good in life comes easy. Too bad I dont think I have been gifted with enough patience to stick around and find out.

And why would you want to covet what's NOT yours? And what makes you think He is worth the stress? Remember, All that glitters, isnt gold. You have NOT a clue if the guy is worth "stealing", yet here you are willing to sacrifice your value all for the sake of a man.
