We need stuff like this in Lekki to keep the traffic gic flowing |
That's your expensive champagne right there |
Left to me, because 2nd roundabout is wide I would have done a flyover there with sufficient space underneath for u turn from both directions. I would also close Admiralty entrance from 1st roundabout to force everyone to go forward to 2nd to either enter Lekki at 2nd roundabout or you turn back to Admiralty. The main issue with that road is there are too many breakages to the flow of traffic, whether it be roundabouts or junctions. If roundabout was 80‰ of the problem, changing it to junction just reduces it to say 60% of the problem, especially when traffic is being controlled by Dumb traffic lights that direct traffic the same way at all times of the day. This will be a marginal and relatively shortlived improvement at best!! |
Having said that, this is not to say Fowler is an angel o! He may have made mistakes and if he had any shady deals while in office, he should be investigated and tried simple! |
No wahala na! Let's see what Nami delivers as revenue for 2020! They are blaming Fowler yet conviniently forget that Buhari almost single handedly plunged this country into recession, with so many people losing jobs and companies struggling, yet they expect to raise more revenue? |
UyaiIncomparabl:A snake is halfway through eating a boy and you are worried about whether the snake dies!? How exactly was the father expected to get the boy out without killing the snake!? |
Rossikk:I totally agree! This idea of government opening enterprises is outdated, not to talk of inefficient. |
Which 2nd Niger Bridge? I thought that project was being handled by the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority? Also which East-West Road? Eket junction to PH is fine. Most of PH to Warri is fine (except some bad spots in Bayelsa), Warri to Benin as at 2017 when I was on it last is managable, but could do with some repairs, while Benin to just after Ore is spotless, so which East west road are they taking loan for? It had better be the remainder from Ore to Shagamu interchange. Otherwise na scam!! |
Flier:why must you insult!! |
Hotel Majestic should be this list. If was an excellent show. |
catoluy:Don't be daft! What magic have all the current and previous SE governors done for their regions!! Aren't they all the same corrupt and selfish politicians and businessmen? Has that changed overnight? |
Like Danjuma himself is not part of the problem!!! He didn't raise an alarm when an oil block was allocated to him, which he eventually sold for over $1bln!! Crazy old man!! |
The airport will appear sane for a few weeks and then the existing insanity will resume! Why? because the Nigerian government does not have the will and the capacity to follow through on policies. |
Seriously doubt the N20mln claim. My office wanted to use Burna Boy and he said lowest was N12mln which was too much for us, so we settled for Teni for N5mln. Burna is probably the most in demand now behind Whiz and Davido, so I wonder how This dude is at N20m |
very likely, this will turn out to be a white elephant project. While airports the world over make profits, this one will likely have insufficient flights to make it profitable and all those who work there will be on government payroll. In a few years time, the Delta state government will complain that its overheads and salary costs are too high. The people will also complain that they are not seeing roads, schools and hospitals being built, but stupid as they are, they wont realize that unprofitable projects such as these only end up increasing recurrent expenditure down the line and reducing capital expenditure. As far as I'm concerned, if a project wont pay for itself in Nigeria, don't build it!! |
Even though i agree with the move to clamp down on NURTW, the truth is that Sanwo-Olu doesn't have the liver to do it. If this Governor had real liver, there is so much he could have done by now that he hasn't done. He doesn't portray a man with will! |
Emmyziski:if Air peace CEO has committed a crime, then he should do the time! Simple! No exceptions on tribal or national grounds! |
Lawsn says a lot without saying anything. I can't find exactly what his point is in what he said. If you ask me though, the sector has multiple problems. One of which is that electricity simply isn't priced properly. Another is pretty large scale electricity theft. A third is that some of the biggest users who are government establishments do not pay. Lawsn should be breaking down the issue to its component parts and proferring solutions to each of them instead of just blowing hot air. |
soberdrunk:Well, logic is if you own a car you are likely not operating at minimum wage |
kolafolabi:Have you ever heard that a plane didn't fly because there were only 10 passengers? I once flew an Etihad to Dubai and we were not more than 50 for a flight of maybe 200. Besides the free ride is also a test run. |
We have heard much more than this before!! We are not moved. There is no directive that has not been given at least 10 times in Nigeria, yet here we still are in the mess of a country!! Buhari talk pass that one for Apapa gridlock! Are tankers not back on the roads?? |
From N23mln to N16mln!! Interesting! Maybe the patient dog still eats the fattest bone after all. |
Is the issue more about the open drain or more about the fact that we are just a dirty and undisciplined bunch in Nigeria!! The refuse in drainage is just a symptom of the underlying issue of our dirty habits and indiscipline. |
Good for the politicians! What goes around comes around |
Ernerstdavid55:Please tell us these countries! |
FrLukas:See enemy of progress! So after plenty failed government enterprises like: NNPC Refineries NPA Nitel National Stadium Nicon Noga Hotel (before privatisation) Eleme petrochemical Nigerian Airways Your only solution is for government to float another company that will be a drain on the country? You are truly a sound economist! |
ornicus:Quite right. The unfortunate thing though is that the 'masses' won't see it that way. All they want is reduced everything. Basic economics most don't understand. I love reduced prices myself, but it's important that it can be justified and sustained economically and commercially. The so called countries with smaller population have far better electricity, don't have local government staff harassing every base station looking for money, have better ports, better roads etc, so maybe that's why its cheaper, but as usual we like to apply government fiat to everything. |
.. |
MelesZenawi:Aren't you yourself tired of Nigeria. |
Does she actually work. |
For those who didn't belive there is a cabal......! |
Ikoyi and Marina is also under attack from manhole thieves. We need undercover cops there too please. |
