Really! That does it then. Certainly not going near Glo then!
PhonesHow Is Glo Internet In Port Harcourt? by COMPAQ(op): 9:00am On Jul 27, 2013
Guys, how is Glo's Internet in port Harcourt these days, particularly around rumuibekwe. Tried Glo about 4 years ago, but the service was so poor (used to constantly fluctuate between 3g and edge, like 3 to 4 times per minute) that I abandoned them since then and haven't tried them since. Have been using Etisalat which is really fast and stable, but the most expensive, especially now that I want to move to a 3Gb data size from a 1.5Gb data size, which costs N5k with Glo, but N6.5k with Etisalat. I recognise though that Etisalat is probably faster since they are on 3.75g,while Glo still seems to be on 3g or 3.5g at best.
PoliticsRe: Electricity Tariff Will Increase Despite Poor Supply -NERC by COMPAQ(m): 2:05pm On Jul 16, 2013
matrixme: We always put the cart before the horse in this country. It is the typical Nigerian attitude. Either we increase fuel price before building new refineries or this, yet we go as far away as China to seek loans for development. When will we ever get serious with ourselves as a nation?
Which comes first? The chicken or the Egg?? I think it's a function of Govt Policy. If govt policy is to build these facilities with tax payers money then they can build before increasing (which unfortunately won't happen, given govt's track record with project delivery). However, if govt policy is for the private sector to build the facilities, then the tariffs will have to go up first, because no investor will come and build power plants if the current tariff doesn't guarantee a return.

I guess the solution would have been for everybody to use prepaid so that at least we pay for only what we use. Because if electricity suddenly becomes 24hrs, we will all pay like 3x what we currently pay even if the tariff stays the same because we will use it more.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria's Proposed Aerotropolis (Airport City) by COMPAQ(m): 1:20pm On Jul 10, 2013
I'll believe it when I see it!!! Nigerian news is full of "Govt to...". Never " Govt completes..."
PoliticsRe: ACN Is Searching For Fashola’s Successor by COMPAQ(m): 6:37pm On Jul 07, 2013
They should search well o. Lagos cannot afford a dimwit governor. Fasola was better than tinubu and we now need someone that will be better than Fasola.
PoliticsRe: Lagos To Demolish Structures On Flood Plains by COMPAQ(m): 12:25pm On Jun 30, 2013
For me, one are where the Lagos State government has not done enough is in the area of urban planning and opening up of new layouts for people to buy land and build. If people could be guaranteed of safe govt land to buy, why would anyone buy and build on flood plains? It's because people are under pressure to build there own houses in the absence of credible, reliable information of which land is available and which is off limits.

How many of you android users out there intend to download it once it's available on google play?

I certainly will!
PoliticsRe: Shoprite Opens In Ibadan by COMPAQ(m): 10:36pm On Jun 29, 2013
So what's so bad about the SE? I am eagerly waiting for Shoprite and KFC to hit port Harcourt, but no show! I would have thought ph could support both enterprises.
PoliticsRe: Shoprite Opens In Ibadan by COMPAQ(m): 12:58pm On Jun 28, 2013
How does Ibadan get a Shoprite, when those of us in Port Harcourt don't have one!! Grrr!!!!

There is much more purchasing power in PH than Ibadan. probably due to the fact that RSG have not finished their RIVMALL after almost 4years!
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Confederations Cup: (0 - 3) On 23rd June 2013 by COMPAQ(m): 9:45am On Jun 24, 2013
Who's the guy that scored in that 1-1 draw with Catalunya a few months back? That chap looked very useful upfront. We certainly missed Moses and Emenike, possibly Anichebe also.Even a committed Osaze would be very useful to this team as would the Kalu brothers and Obafemi Martins if they are in form.

We also need support at the right back. A lot of our goals came from that side. Efe was not up to scratch. Echiejile was much better on the left.

lastpage: Not moving, not opening up. NO SENSE OF URGENCY IN THE SECOND HALF
Looks like Naija players are tired, jittery and afraid of their opponents! huh huh huh

Competition was ALREADY LOST against Uruguay!

I agree. We are beginning to look tired, which us dangerous cos that means they can break at pace and pick us off as we attack.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Confederations Cup: (0 - 3) On 23rd June 2013 by COMPAQ(m): 9:12pm On Jun 23, 2013
All said and done, this team is impressive. Give them 2 really sharp attackers and we can do something at the world cup (if we get there). If we had more quality up front, we'd surely had beaten Uruguay.

Adanyebe: Uruguay 4 - 0 tahiti
It had to be against us that tahiti got their only goal.

SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Spain - Confederations Cup: (0 - 3) On 23rd June 2013 by COMPAQ(m): 8:38pm On Jun 23, 2013
But to be honest, if Spain absolutely needed to win, we might be behind by more than one goal by now.

Balkan: Babatunde is just a disappointment
he did quite well in my opinion. Almost, if not better than musa
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Uruguay - Confederations Cup: (1 - 2) On 20th June 2013 by COMPAQ(m): 12:50am On Jun 21, 2013
To be honest though, Keshi has got the boys playing a system. Our games with past coaches always looked flat. And pity we are missing key players. With moses and kalu uche, who knows.
SportsRe: Nigeria Vs Uruguay - Confederations Cup: (1 - 2) On 20th June 2013 by COMPAQ(m): 12:45am On Jun 21, 2013
Musa has been really disappointing. He hasn't provided us with enough width and his silly mistake cost us the second goal.
oliseh making sense on supersport
I agree. He's doing a good job on that panel. Kesh was terrible during the work cup. Oliseh seems like he should be a good coach.

We can can really win this. Uruguay are beginning beginning to feel the pressure and and we are doing better in the midfield now. Mikel is beginning to boss the game.

Billyonaire: Nairalanders and beef. Are Niger Deltans supposed to work in reality ? Listen, Niger Deltans are not supposed to work a day in their lives. How hard do Qatar citizens work ? How hard do Kuwaitis work ? Congrats to Asari.
I am shocked 93 people liked this. Just shows how shallow and bereft of values we are as a people.
