Romance › Re: s by CyberG: 10:46pm On Jan 17, 2011
Okay, I may NOT agree with MOBO on some things he says or how he communicates it but I AGREE with him on this issue. For once, forget about the issues of no car, no cash, etc. When a guy sees a girl, he makes a decision on what he could possibly like with her: friend, friend + more, relationship, sex or no interest! If a "serious" guy sees a girl that has so many friends (1000+) on FB, what could that communicate to a guy who knows the "game" and the way it is played these days? No matter how "good" the girl is, she has inadvertently communicated otherwise and attracted a guy for the "wrong" reason. Now, a guy will not be 100% successful all the time but an average guy will score decently enough. Now, imagine what guys who are really good would do? Ladies, don't speak for men because you don't know us! No matter how good a girl really is, a "normal" guy who has been bad himself will be less likely to marry such a girl if the girl has had "many" partners or comes across as someone who is open to a lot of men's attention. Believe me, this decision is not what a guy spends one year thinking about, it takes just a few minutes to make up his mind. It is for this reason that a guy can sleep with a girl for months or years but will NEVER marry her, yes it is sad but it is true. In the odd case, a guy may change his mind but she would have to do a lot to convince him and believe me, it is one of the reasons that a lot of guys won't feel bad if he sleeps with another girl because he feels he had to balance or "tilt it" the equation in his own favor.

Ladies, except you are a public figure or celebrity, having thousands of guys on your FB communicates the wrong message! Perception is everything and first impressions matter a whole lot. A certain guy may not be successful with you but imagine if 90% of the guys who approach you do it for the same reason: sex, does it matter if you say no to one or two of them? You can be certain that some guy will get to nail you and the guy you said no to is on his way to nailing another chic. In the end, it is a lose-lose game for the ladies. I say this without any hard feelings for the women and in fact, this sort of expose could ruin some chances that men could have because now women are gonna (possibly) "wise-up" a bit more!
Romance › Re: Can A Naija Man Can Ever Be Faithfull To An Oyinbo? by CyberG: 10:45am On Jan 15, 2011
@Poster. . .there are a lot of opinions here of which you must sift and make-up your mind as you are the one who knows this guy. I will speak for myself and the generality of "normal" (subjective) guys: We make VERY good husbands and NOT all of us cheat on our women whether black, white, yellow, etc! Like someone said, this is not something that can be used to judge "Nigerian" men like some ladies are suggesting here because for every BAD man you find, a woman made him what he is by their actions/inactions!

A lot of ladies here can not claim to be perfect and never cheated! An average Nigerian guys is uber-sharp and we know the ways of women and when they cheat, we may pretend to overlook it but that woman is "gone" while the man is now "changed" and will more than likely have a "back-up" plan in most cases. This is what is generally called "cheating" by Nigerian ladies which MOST of the time is caused by ONE of them of them in the first place.

I can relate with what the friend of your BF told him about white women because I have personally seen it myself. But again, people will always be different and because one white girl did it does not mean all of them do it however, if on a scale of 100, any score that is > 51%, is in the majority and is generally representative of the entire set. This is why his friend told him what he did and it is something that can hardly be argued. You may be in the other 49% but who knows?

For the Nigerian ladies giving advise here, you have no idea if any of them have any moral standing to condemn a relationship and even call guys names. How many ex-gfs have cheated and when they get caught, they cry and beg but a Naija man is a Naija man! In the end, she has to move on and out of the bitterness will do anything to impugn the character of the millions of Nigerian guys because of something she did (or her fellow sister did) to permanently change innocent, God-fearing men to wild devils in sheep clothing of which you might now have met one? Well, a lot of the commentators here have it worse than you anyway, they are single, unhappy, lonely and getting old and they need you to be like them so think about that!

(This might be hard but it is very frank and true opinion!)
Politics › Re: Easteners Suffer While Nigeria Is Led By A Hausa-fulani-yoruba Oligarchy.(read!) by CyberG: 3:22am On Jan 15, 2011
@ Odumchi. . .a lot of your arguments are very naive and pedestrian! You cannot expect EVERYONE to share your point of view! You may deny that charge all you want but it is evident in your posts. A lot of people here have made VERY good points to address your post but NO, they are WRONG and you are RIGHT! I have been to the East, lived in the East, had relations from the East. . .same with the West and the North! I have been out of Nigeria and back and I tell you that Easterners are NOT the only ones suffering! I have made 100's of posts in the politics section, like a lot of other people have, and there's hardly anything to be said that has not been said by the thousands of people here! Like you think Easterners suffer, Westerners suffer too! In fact, the Northerners are the poorest and suffering the MOST but all the so called useless and clueless leaders are the ones enjoying and their immediate families! While you were making your posts, some of the Eastern "leaders" were exchanging billions of Naira with the Northerners "leaders" and some Western "leaders" were sharing the future and wealth of their people with the Easterners! Until you see the real big picture and something is done about it by Nigerians AS A WHOLE, a billion posts and arguments on NL does nothing! This is my first post in this section in a long time as me too I am so tired of all the wahala about Nigeria!

@Kennosman. . .

Your own command of the English Language is beyond ridiculous! If you can't narrate a brief encounter coherently, you have no rights to criticize the lady's spoken English! Did I hear you say accent? With writing like yours, your accent must be the bottom of the barrel! No paragraphs, appropriate punctuation, improper capitalization, poor use of words, disorganized and disjointed writing! What you have here is just a bunch of words lumped together - and you call that writing? Tell the story and do not criticize her English because your writing is VERY poor!

Atreides:
@Topic,my perfect man would be cute. Not drop-dead gorgeous because i don't have the strength/inclination to be dragging him with other women, neither would i want to deal with any arrogance and whatnot. My perfect man would be reasonably attractive. He'd be funny-nothing better than a guy who can make me laugh,IMO. He'd be patient(because i can be verra stubborn). He'd be kind and gentle and an all-round Mr. Nice Guy. He'd be financially buoyant. He would be considerate and smart, witty and loyal. He would be God-fearing and he'd respect me. My perfect man would smile when i smile, hold my hand when i cry,be my strength and my rock, and most of all he'd love me so much it'd hurt(almost). Sadly,he doesn't exist. Oh well. A girl can always dream.
I definitely KNOW a guy like you described BUT what would the lady bring to the table to really "hook" this kind of guy?

Children of a PERVERSE and ADULTEROUS generation, who and what will deliver you from the wrath to come? Now that you have miraculously and mistakenly "cross-border" to Oyinbo land, see how lost your souls are?? You can call me anything but I must tell it the way it is: would you have done this if you were still in your backwater Agaracha/Feyingbole remote village hide-out chasing rats and cracking open palm kernel nuts? With a lucky 0-0.5-0.5 daily meal plan for you and your siblings, would you get more than tribal marks? Now, see your life's outside? What a shameful basket of zombies! May NL survive the coming economic downturns and blowouts so we can read the story of how you can't find a man to marry your wasted soul and body or dumps your lascivious pumpkin-head 'cos at the rate at which you are going, even the devil would claim to be a saint while you are the real devils! When the hammer falls on your head, you will unfortunately rope your parents who may even have trained and tutored you hard enough but like a dog meant for the slaughter, you can never hear until you end in the abattoir where the butchers are waiting!

Ivynwa:
Attention to all Nairalanders, it is with due respect to everybody that I beg to be given the opportunity to do what I never do and be rude at this point in time because it is high time that this person gets put into her rightful place here.

Mukina and the moderators in charge, it's high time Mrs. Eve or whatever the dirty mouthed lady calls herself get told that we are not going to fold our hands and watch her dish out insults of all kinds both written and unwritten to Nigerians and Africans. Her mouth leaves a disgusting
trail behind, what with all these po*s and pu*nies and every kind of unwritten insults (that even generations past do not know) coming from her every minute. I am not even the only one that has noticed this, other people have complained  as shown in the thread below
https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-505782.320.html

I refuse to believe that this person is an American because she is a big disgrace to America, I mean from her language she is lower than any low person that can come out of Africa yet she has the temerity to come to this forum and insult Nigerians and Africans on a daily basis.
How can a lady keep yapping endlessly everyday and 95% of her yaps are insults bikonu? You are married to a Nigerian and you have no atom of respect for your husband's people. You have even boldly told us beating-hands-on-the-chest mannerlike that you have been chased out of the house of other people because of your mouth. If you have no manners we can get you started on Manner 101 in this thread as you are married to our brother, seriously.
Can somebody warn her or better still get her stinking faggotted mouth out of this forum for good. Classless-gutter-people who have no respect for others do not belong here, I hope she got my message. Excuse me out of her gutter e-presence and to think that I ever called her a friend.

@Ilovefred
I am sorry I have to write this here but this person has overdone it for the umpteenth time, I can't stand and watch her talk down on my people everyday.
I SUPPORT YOU on EVERY POINT you made in this post!
Romance › Re: Marriage With A Nigerian Man by CyberG: 12:47am On Jan 04, 2011
IloveFred. . .take this from a Nigerian man brought-up with very good manners, has lived in many places and well-experienced:

Be a good wife, love his kid and show it, keep yourself in shape and whatever got you attracted, do not go away from it, try and learn to cook him some of his favorite Nigerian foods, do not nag him to death. If this man is really good man like you believe, and you do most or all of the things I listed above, your marriage will be one a lot of women here will only dream about.

Also, like someone advised here, do not take negative advise from frustrated people who have NEVER had a successful relationship for one week in their life because of their own personal faults. They are VERY jealous and mad with you that you have now even married one of the best class of men on this planet, yet they are still single, whinny, nagging and getting old without a man and the more make-up they use, the older they appear. I'm sure you will be smart enough to know that any advise these kind of women give is to make your life like theirs: single, boring, living on the internet, scavenging for any man that may mistakenly come their way. So, take advise with caution.

If this man is innately good enough and real, welcome to a marriage that will make your life heaven on earth and I wish you all the best!

From a Nigerian MAN!

Look at:

I've spent some time in Imo State and traveled almost the whole of the South East but why do they like dancing with their yansh in Imo State. I've had girlfriends from there and people claim the South Westerners are the ones always dancing with their yansh. Now with this incriminating video, I am beginning to think otherwise. Are there any experts who can shed a strong, illuminating light on these VERY interesting and HOT issue!? grin grin grin

After a while, I was in another aisle and she waked up to me and opened up a conversation! She was asking me questions right away and I knew what exactly she was after but I just played the "gentleman" answered very few questions and told her I would talk to her later as people were coming into that area. She seemed shy and quite uncomfortable but had to take her out of her misery. She had done enough for sure 'cos she even indirectly asked me if I was married and I responded with a very diplomatic answer too. When I talked to her couple of days later, I said we could be "friends" 'cos she don try! BTW, she's Ghanaian grin grin

Someone has no respect for her father, husband, men siblings and relatives. By disrespecting the man who bore you or even the people in your family, you disrespect all the women associated with those men too. This is what happens when a self-respecting hard-working Nigerian man or man of any nationality is conned, lured, coerced, etc to marry a black American woman (apologies to those women who are not like you but a rotten, maggot-infested apple soils the whole in the basket). Black American men, white men, every other type of man rejected you until you finally got an innocent man entangled in a most unfortunate union with you. . .only now, your fangs are on edge for his money and property! Too bad this man may even be brooding with you and you'll give birth to boys who will become men and turn out to be exactly what you have written here! NL, see how a man can work hard, study everything, do all the work to get ahead in life and marry an accursed woman? May God deliver the unmarried guys but to the ones who walked into this type of entrapment, I leave you with the words of Leonidas: "Ready your breakfast and eat hearty, for tonight we until divorce/death/separation you dine live in Hell"!

Some woman's relationship or marriage is headed for the rocks! Opening threads and asking anonymous questions does not pull wool over the eyes of the discerning. . .and regardless of the evil opinion about men, it doesn't change anything about men. Some women and men are truly loving themselves somewhere and couldn't care about phonies who hooked a man but now that the man refuses to be their slave but takes charge, all they can do is curse and whine? Well, have some cheese with that whine!

With over 500,000 topics on NL and probably a majority of that in the Romance section, it seems there's a significant pool of data to do some statistics. I think there are a few statistics that could be really useful:

1. Who complains more about their relationships? Women or Men?

2. Are Nigerian-based ladies getting married faster than the ones based abroad?

3. If (2) is true, why?

4. How many foreign-based Nigerian men and foreigners would rather go to Nigeria and marry women than marry the ones who are foreign-based?

5. How many women would do the same as men in (4)?

6. How many women are men haters on NL?

7. How many women and men have such attitudes that even if they are married now, the marriage cannot last?

8. How many women know that from their looks, attitude, the way they talk, etc it hurts or has hurt their chances of meeting or marrying a respectable man?

9. How many virgin threads? Cheating threads? Hatred threads? Searching threads? etc are on NL?

10. There are many statistics that might be of interest, so add your own list and maybe things like this could help us understand people more, down to the individual and even form part of someone's thesis someday?

Why does any guy bother to give a response to a contentious issue made by women whose only achievement in life is making the most useless and unhelpful comments about their lives? If any woman wouldn't want a relationship, how is that the problem of every other person? Guys, look at the attitude of the women posters here on NL and you will instantly get a good idea on how utterly bad and hateful all their existence is and they still complain they can't get a man? I tell you: The married ones of you will even lose that man you conned by subterfuge into marriage and the unmarried ones can forget about even a relationship talk less of marriage. If you will do us a favor, descend into the pits of hell where your "husbands" are waiting for you and never come back again!

BTW, most of this women are evil, have no manners and very ugly, what man wants this combination in a woman? Then, you expose your breasts and ass as if that will make a man marry you? Look, by so doing you only tell a man that you are only good for banging and dumping! Women of this type will never learn and who is the uncultured, ill-mannered, undisciplined and disrespectful who had the temerity to cast aspersions on someone's parents because of her misfortune in relationships? I tell you what: anyone who does this to people who are their elders cannot live long on this earth so says they Holy Book!
