iyambz:From December 2017 to October 2020, Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide studied about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ from Matthew to John, in fact the title of the book that was considered was taken from that John 14:6 that you’re rushing to quote. So was it Jehovah’s Witnesses who got rid of the middle man(Jesus) or was it you who forsook the Higher Person(Jehovah) whom Jesus is meant to lead humans to? Acts 4:12 How can Jesus be the middle man and still be the person at the other end of the covenant? Is that what 1Timothy 2:5 says? |
iyambz:Invite an experienced SDA member to any discussion, I will call one of those little boys who handle Bible reading parts in our meetings let’s see who is really able to handle the Bible aright. 2Timothy 2:15 |
iyambz:The same Lord that doesn’t know you oo? Matthew 7:21-23 2. You haven't read those books, you just looked them up on the internet and drew a conclusion. So why are you recommending dead books that does have not have impact on the general public? I thought that it was only Deeper Life that normally show videos of people in hellfire? Have you joined their group too? The level of your hypocrisy is alarming! 5. How does (Zech 4:6 kjv) have to do with Jehovah's witnesses?God’s holy spirit(active force) can only work amongst Jehovah’s Witnesses that’s why they’ve been able to record staggering feats. Galatians 5:22-23 Man, (Zech 4) is a prophecy concerning the two witnesses in the Tribulation. Of course, you are a postmillennialist, and you will be here during the tribulation if the rapture happens anytime sooner. If you believe that we’re in the last days, you should automatically believe that this “rapture” has began to take place already like since long before now. 1Corinthisns 15:23, 1Thessalonians 4:16, Or are you expecting it to come with public notice before? Mr KJV, please who is the Most High according to Psalm 83:18? Is it not plainly written “JEHOVAH” in your KJV? Who is the Son(subordinate) of the Most High? Is it not Jesus? Luke 1:32, 1Corinthians 15:28 What concerns you with the letter that James wrote? Or have you not torn out James 2:24-26 from your KJV BIBLE? |
haddeylium:I bullied him last year so he’s been avoiding me ever since then. |
iyambz:I noticed that you’ve been looking for avenues to avoid discussion with me but I just couldn’t take my eyes of the highlighted. I mean is this how low you’ve sunk? Those books you quoted now, can you please state the impact it has had on at least 1000 people? I thought you’re a one man mopol “Christian” (I guess that’s now a thing), so why are you now recommending books of Protestants and Anabaptists? Moreover, can the application of those books be traced to anywhere? On the other hand, I can boldly say that the Watchtower and Awake books has had impact on not just the 8.6million Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide, but also on the millions studying with us, together with the other countless millions who enjoy reading our magazines because of the rich quality. Know that this is possible because Jehovah’s holy spirit is backing his earthly organization(Zechariah 4:6) so that’s why Jehovah’s Witnesses are indeed the salt of the earth because their own books preserve the spiritual health of the readers and are also the light of the world since their books are reflecting spiritual light from the Father of celestial lights. Matthew 5:13-16, James 1:17 What spiritual light has your books been able to reflect that you had the effontery to begin comparison? Can you see where you got it wrong now? |
Kobojunkie:Please have you ever seen any cult where their books and brochures are always free of charge and open to the general public in hundreds of languages and their website translated into more than 1,028 languages? Have you ever seen any cult where after each service year, they reveal their official records of the number of members, time spent in their activities and total funds spent to the general public? Catholic and Mormon officially have vaults where they keep hidden records from the public. I wonder the horrendous name you guys would have cooked up for Jehovah’s Witnesses if it was they who did something like that. Moreover, have you ever seen any cult where the Ex-members are free to talk negative about his/her former group without him being silenced? Have you ever seen any cult that does not have influence on the political and social leaders in the society? Have you ever seen any cult that opens its meeting places to the general public? Have you seen any cult that does not make use of violence and weapons? I thought that some of you on this NL had working brains. It turns out it’s just shallow brains you guys carry about because if you did have a working brain, you would find out what really is going on(Proverbs 14:15), instead you’re colluding with the same pastors and churchgoers that you’re normally opposed to in spreading malicious talk about a peaceful group. Exodus 23:1 |
MaxInDHouse:Haa the infamous CAN of worms. The most useless and hypocritical organization in the whole of Nigeria. I mean how can they split into hundreds of churches in the same Nigeria and still come together to claim to be for the same Lord when everyone wants to be his own boss? Certainly they’ve ripped out Ephesians 5:21 from their Bibles. |
Emusan:Despite seemingly similarities, which of the core doctrines do Jehovah’s Witnesses and SDA currently share?(Apart from the invisible and visible presence palaver) My emphasis is on “currently” because iyambz claims to have left his church but still adheres to their teachings whereas do JW’s do such? Who’s the real hypocrite Emusan? Charles Taze Russell and his group were hungry and thirsty for righteousness(Matthew 5:6), so in order to be filled, they had to obey the command found at Revelations 18:4 to break away from all forms of false religion so the difference between the IBS and other religious at the time was not quite known until Jesus Christ began separating the wheats(true Christians) from the weeds/tares(“Lord, Lord” criers) shortly after his presence began in 1914 and established his own group in 1919. Matthew 13:30 So if you’re judging Jehovah’s Witnesses from the formative years, know that the first century Christians also had rifts between themselves in the early years that the Christian congregation was formed.(Acts 15:2) but what’s more important is how the quickly adapted to new circumstances and carried on pure worship decently and in arrangement(1Corinthians 14:40) and remained in one line of thought just like the Jehovah’s Witnesses you’re seeing today. 2Corinthians 13:11, 1Peter 3:8 |
iyambz:So can you locate the word “Trinity” in the entire Bible please? As for the hellfire, since you are a KJV loyalist and refuse to consider the actual rendering of the word, that’s your own cup of coffee. According to you, the KJV is even more accurate than the Koine Greek which the New Testament was originally written in. This proves you actually aren’t a truth finder but a huge phoney so give reasons why anyone should take you seriously. |
shadeyinka:Therefore, the Scriptures teach that reincarnation is a fact, correct? |
shadeyinka:When Moses was 120 years old, he was still full of vigour and energy because God was with him so he did not experience the complications that came with old age and the agony of death because God took him and buried him in the Plains of Moab so that nobody could find his body. Deuteronomy 34:5-7 The same can be said in Enoch’s case, God did not allow him to pass through the agony and pains of death either naturally or from the hands of wicked men so God took him and nobody was able go locate his body just like in Moses’ case but neither of them went to heaven instead they returned to the dust of the earth. Genesis 3:19 Remember that when Paul wrote that when Adam sinned, he said that ALL his descendants became transgressors and death spread to ALL men and that includes Enoch. Romans 5:12 |
shadeyinka:Should somebody also lecture you that the Bible records two distinct kings who bore the name “Jehoram” who were in fact related by law? The first one was Jehoram, son of Ahab who ruled over the northern kingdom ISRAEL for 12years and even ruled while Jehoshaphat was still alive. 2Kings 3:1 The second Jehoram was the son of Jehoshaphat who began ruling over the southern kingdom JUDAH but only AFTER his father’s death. This particular Jehoram ruled for 8years and during that period was when Elijah wrote to him long after Jehoram the son of Ahab had died. 2Chronicles 21:12 In fact the nature of the deaths of these persons bearing the same name was different. 2Kings 9:24, 2Chronicles 21:18-20 So the statement “God took him” now means that he went to heaven? Did you not realize that in Enoch’s time, wickedness had grown rapidly around the region and he was the only righteous man at the time before Noah came on the scene? Genesis 6:5 That’s why Enoch’s prophecy is recorded at Jude 14-15 that God would in time render judgment against that world of wicked mankind which in fact occurred during Noah’s day. 2Peter 2:5 So because Enoch was the only righteous person around, that prophecy at Jude 14-15 would have sparked controversy and anger amongst those wicked and bloodthirsty humans then that’s why God intervened and allowed him to die peacefully without those humans meting out torture to him that’s why his own life span was shorter than others. Genesis 5:23 How did we know that Enoch actually died? Because in the same Hebrews 11 you were so eager to quote, Paul mentions that ALL those faithful men and women of old DIED(Hebrews 11:13) so Jesus’ statement at John 3:13 still holds good. |
shadeyinka:Please are you now one of fundamentalists? I know of one here on NL—Kobojun.kie. They have the habit of making the Scriptures look absurd and illogical. Surely when Jesus made that statement he was referring to Malachi 4:5 so that his disciples could quickly grasp what was going on. The work of Elijah and JTB had similarities. 2Kings 1:8, Matthew 3:4 But John the Baptist was a Nazirite whereas there is no record to show that Elijah was one. Luke 1:15 So if JTB was truly Elijah, why did he not continue from where he stopped but instead became a Nazirite? |
iyambz:Don’t you think this Scripture should be applied in your case? Catholic Church handed down philosophical teachings of Trinity and hellfire to your numerous churches which you wholeheartedly accepted then you went ahead to rebel against them but still stuck to their teachings. Who’s the hypocrite and divulger of contrived stories? |
advanceDNA:Somebody will wake up one morning and begin to utter crap. My only guess is that he’s experiencing intense hangover. |
@shadeyinka, I like what haddeylium did there. He just brought forth the words of JTB himself: “I am NOT Elijah”! John 1:21 You wan still argue with JTB oo? ![]() |
So none of the commentators were able to answer the OP’s simple and direct questions? Instead it’s insults and abuses that seemed the appropriate response? Pathetic! If it was a question directed to Jehovah’s Witnesses now, I trust all my brothers will file out and drop numerous Scriptures because they are ardent students of the Bible and are skilled in using the Bible as a SWORD. Ephesians 6:17 But now the churchgoers were called upon to show what they have upstairs instead they’ve have shown that they are emptyheaded and cannot defend their faith properly. A certain statement made by Jesus reminds me of this situation with these churchgoers and “Lord Lord Lord” criers: “A rotten tree(foundation) cannot produce fine fruits(results)” Matthew 7:16-18 |
MightySparrow:Prophecies and laid-down facts are two entirely different things. 1. Prophecies: Concerning “sacred secrets” such as Genesis 3:15 which eventually spilled into a number of prophecies across the Bible, yes it shows that God allows a very significant amount of time to pass while he progressively reveals the details about his will and purpose. Ephesians 1:9 So the way God will explain details to one person may vary(i.e. including a number of new disclosed details) with the next such as in the case of Abraham and David but in every case, they must all be in harmony. Genesis 22:18/2Samuel 7:12 2. Laid-down Facts: In terms of physical science, it’s already factual that at 100°C and 1atm, water will begin to boil and vaporize so this will never change. Before Adam sinned, God already warned him that if he did sin, he would pay the price for that sin with his life(Genesis 2:17) and it’s echoed throughout the Bible that the wages of sin is death(Romans 6:23) so that fact did not change either. At death, God said that Adam would return to nonexistence(Genesis 3:19). David and Solomon also shed more light on what happens at death. Psalm 146:4, Ecclesiastes 9:5-10 Jesus also said that at death, it’s as if one is in a deep dreamless sleep(John 11:11-14) so the fact about dead ones being unconscious and nonexistent did not change either. Death can only be reversed through a resurrection(John 5:28-29, Acts 24:15) so if death doesn’t end it all, what is the purpose of resurrection again? |
MightySparrow:What do you mean by “limited”? Solomon, when concluding the book of Ecclesiastes mentioned that everything he wrote were “ACCURATE words of truth”. Ecclesiastes 12:10 or do you know more than Solomon? Was Job’s knowledge limited when he knew that when he died, he would return to nonexistence? Job 14:13-15 Moreover, when God said Adam would return to the dust after committing a grievous offense, are you now saying that God’s knowledge was limited? Genesis 3:19 When I mentioned Lazarus and the rich man not brother if Mary an Martha.Ahn ahn, that one has been dealt with several times already. If you do not accept that Jesus was telling a parable at Luke 16, would you please be so kind to answer some of the questions that I may throw at you? |
MightySparrow:Jesus first taught about it or was it the Catholic Church in the 4th century C.E. who invented this teaching? I know you may want to go and quote Mark 9:48 but it may shock you that Jesus was quoting from Isaiah 66:24 which states that those thrown into “Gehenna”, not some concocted and forged “hellfire”, would be dead bodies and not live ones. Secondly, the writing of Solomon about death is not a complete knowledge to take as final authority.Shortly after Solomon was made King over Israel, God appeared to him in a dream and said he could request anything he desired since he acted on David’s plea and remained steadfast in searching for God(1Chronicles 28:9), so Solomon eventually chose God-given wisdom(compare James 1:5) to be able to discern between good and bad, this time around from God’s standpoint. 1Kings 3:4-14 So it was evident from that point onward that holy spirit was working on Solomon that he could even record inspired proverbs that are regarded as “wisdom books” and respected by many who do not even believe in God. 1Kings 4:32, Ecclesiastes 12:9 But now you’re saying that despite the God-given wisdom Solomon had, he was making incorrect and incomplete statements? If what you’re saying is not blasphemy against God’s holy spirit, what else can it be? Matthew 12:31,32 Yes, Jesus is the Greater Solomon(Matthew 12:42) but Jesus must speak harmony with Solomon if he is to be regarded as sent from God. That’s why Ecclesiastes 9:5,6 ticks good with John 11:11-14. He said also about being greater than the Temple in Jerusalem, today, the Temple is irrelevant to worship. He altered certain Mosaic Laws, desecrated the Sabbath and defendef His right to do so.The temple in Jesus’ day was still regarded as the centre of pure worship that’s why Jesus was zealous in purifying the temple of greedy people. (Matthew 21:12-13), it wasn’t until Jesus’ death that service offered in that temple became unacceptable to God, that’s why the curtain shielding the Most Holy tore into two showing that God no longer had dealings with the temple. Luke 23:45 As for the Sabbath, Jesus did not “alter” the arrangement in that sense(Matthew 5:17). The Law and Prophets were meant to lead the Israelites to the Messiah(Deuteronomy 18:15a, Galatians 3:24) so when the Messiah comes, they must listen to whatever he says(Deuteronomy 18:15b) and not argue with him like the Pharisees did. Mark 2:24 Again, it was until after Jesus’ death that the Sabbath stopped being a religious observance. Colossians 2:13-16 Lazarus case has been taken by JWs as a mere joke, I don't agree. The souls of those seeking for vengeance in qouted Revelations and the blood of Abel crying don't point to the fact that physical death ends all.The same Jehovah’s Witnesses who have been asking you where Lazarus was during the four days he was dead? When Jesus said that Lazarus was sleeping, what did he mean by that please? John 11:11-14 Since you want to take things out of context, is Abel’s blood a person with a mouth and vocal cords to shout? If not, then you have to accept that Hebrews 11:4 mean something entirely different from what you’re trying to make it seem. |
@MightySparrow, can you see how you’re blaspheming against the one whom you supposedly follow? I’d get back to the points you’ve made in due time. |
kellymenz:Please which of the apostles quoted this so-called boE? Neither Peter nor Jude made reference to this boE after all there have been many instances where secular records tallied with the inspired Bible to prove its authenticity. So it’s not advisable to correlate views from an apocryphal book with that of the inspired Bible. The earlier Jewish philosophers such as Philo tried to find a link between the book containing the Law and Prophets(Old Testament) and Grecian tales and we all know the wrong views most of them adopted as a result. Acts 17:18, 1Corinthians 15:32 That’s the reason why the REAL inspired book(Bible) warned against delving into endless man-made philosophies and apocryphal books. Ecclesiastes 12:12, Colossians 2:8 |
kellymenz:Aren’t there like three versions of the boE? In no ways does it fill any gaps with regards the biblical Genesis account and I can prove it. The boE is no more than a book of fanciful tales that should be told as bedtime stories. The Bible contains 66inspired books and the boE isn’t one of them. |
danvon:I’d like to believe this is a joke because the Catholic Church contributed a total number of zero efforts to the spread of Christianity. Like has been said those ones were the strong and powerful weeds that outgrew the real Christians after the first century as was already foretold. Matthew 13:24-30 Jehovah witness are still a minority, if 50% of the world population become Jehovah witnesses do you truly believe the world would be peaceful? Please do you know who Jehovah’s Witnesses are? Have you gone overseas and seen our international conventions where tens of thousands gather together PEACEFULLY, ORDERLY and DECENTLY at a particular location without help from the local police and authorities? Your logic doesn’t even make sense. Haven’t we seen minority groups who use violence to propagate their teachings? If 100% of the world population all become Witnesses, 99% of the problems this world is facing would be solved and it’s not a joke. But unfortunately we live in Satan’s world so it will not be possible for even 1% of the world population to be Witnesses because Satan is actively blinding the eyes of many to the truth. 2Corinthians 4:4 Anybody who truly believes he's sent by God for a purpose will never see any wrong with using violence to achieve the said purpose...The end justifies the meansJesus believed he was sent by God yet how many times in the Bible did he use violence please? You still do not understand how true Christianity operates. Jesus regularly organized preaching campaigns for his disciples and gave them instructions to follow. Matthew 10:5-16, Luke 10:1-12 So if someone did not accept their teachings, they were to immediately leave the house premises, not to force the householder to accept their message. Matthew 10:14 We Jehovah’s Witnesses recognize that our work is stated at Matthew 24:14, 28:19-20; Acts 1:8 and following the pattern set in the first century to go to people’s homes to preach and teach about Jehovah our God. So we are just going to plant and water the seed of truth in the heart of a honesthearted individual through discussion from the Bible(Malachi 3:16) but we don’t have the authority to force him to make the truth his own since it is God who will assist him to do that. Romans 12:2, 1Corinthians 3:6 |
danvon:By powerful, do you mean, attaining a worldly status, prestige and influence in the society at large? If so, be rest assured that isn’t and will never be one of the goals of Jehovah’s Witnesses. James 4:4 The highlighted caught my attention because it baffles me a lot when people speak like this. I mean the first Christians in the Bible suffered intense persecution in the Roman Empire. Luke 21:12 The faithful and true Christians never resorted to violence or retaliation since their Master already forbade them for doing so(Matthew 26:52) and because of that, most of them were slaughtered for their faith. Acts 12:1 For your information, true Christianity started from 33C.E. and temporarily ended after 100C.E. so please do not assume that those bloodthirsty tyrants masquerading as Christians(Catholic Church) had anything to do with Christianity because Jesus, Paul, Peter all made it clear that true Christianity would vanish from the surface of the earth after the death of the major apostles in the first century(100C.E.) Matthew 13:24-30 check also Acts 20:29,30; 2Peter 2:1 So those pagan warlords(Roman Catholics) starting from Emperor Constantine(306-337C.E.) never had anything to do with the Christianity that Jesus commissioned since Jesus already referred to such ones as wolves disguising as sheep who would corrupt the Bible truth and mislead many by their irreverent acts. Matthew 7:15 see also 2Corinthians 11:13-15 |
WoundedLamb:WORLDWIDE, Jehovah’s Witnesses are known as law abiding citizens(Titus 3:1) and are generally peace-loving and respectful people. Luke 6:27-29, Romans 12:18 In fact if you have one of us living around your locality, you are TOTALLY safe with nothing to worry about because our belief system(Bible) encourages respect for life to the point of not taking up weapons to hurt or kill anyone under any circumstances. Matthew 26:52 Otherwise, why hurt people for their choice of religion? The highlighted is the part that would really pierce the heart of any honest-hearted observer. Obviously there’s nothing the Witnesses do wrong to deserve the intense persecution they’re always facing worldwide but for some reasons, however, they do. For example, following their Bible-trained consciences to remain separate from the world has brought upon them, the intense persecution that Jesus said would occur. John 15:18-20 So because Witnesses do not go to war(Isaiah 2:2-4) and by remaining separate(neutral) from the political system of the world(John 17:14-16), they’ve been the focus of hatred from all man-made organizations worldwide and it doesn't surprise us. 1John 3:13 The major reason for the Witnesses being persecuted is because there are actually higher spirit forces out there who are trying their best to stamp out pure worship(Revelation 12:17) so the humans they’re using for the job are not really in control of themselves(Luke 23:34) and are just mere puppets in the hands of mightier spirit beings(demons). Ephesians 6:12 That’s why from the surface, the persecution that the Witnesses suffer doesn’t make sense to anybody because those humans who are intensely persecuting them are not acting on their impulse or minds but are simply being energized by Satan to do his own will. Ephesians 2:2 |
donnie:Provide evidence that the New Testament is out of harmony with the Old? Moreover were you there when any were written that you should choose which to accept and which to reject? Secondly, MESSIAH did not live for centuries in heaven. That's a lie and unscriptural. He never existed until he was born in Bethlehem which by the way is in Africa. His divinity stems from the fact that he is a product of the eternal WORD of YAH.Scriptures like Micah 5:2 from the Old Testament points to the fact that the Messiah would have existed for aeons before coming to the earth. Compare John 8:58 So reiterate again. So interpreting John 3:13 in that light, you'll understand that he was referring to men that are alive on earth at the time the statement was being made. Why should you interpret John 3:13 when you don’t believe in the New Testament? The Messiah made it clear that he came down from heaven and no one else had gone to heaven before him. John 6:38, 8:23 see also 1Corinthians 15:47 I’m a very good observer and honestly, I believe that you can make a great stand-up comedian. According to you, the New Testament is all fables but you rush to quote Revelation 2:18 to support your black Messiah theory. It’s just desperation if you ask me because racism/nepotism is ingrained deep in you and makes you no different from those white men during the slave trade period. P.S: I take God beg you, please don’t close this thread and run away because I also noticed you’re fond of that. |
namedo:Please can I know where Jesus said the highlighted? As in where did Jesus say those words exactly, “To make heaven you must ...” ? You know it’s funny because Jesus made it clear that he didn’t have the authority to decide who gets to go to heaven talkless imperfect humans(Matthew 20:20-23) and heaven itself is not for all righteous people because God must first APPROVE a person to be part of those who go to heaven, the choice is not made by any human. Luke 12:32 The rest of your post is indeed hilarious if you think God still has dealings with any particular nation today. |
The way to the holy place(heaven) was only made open after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ so that wasn’t possible. Hebrews 10:19-22 Enoch and Elijah are outstanding examples of men of strong faith. Hebrews 11:5; 35, 38 Yet Paul wrote at Hebrews 11:13 that ALL of them including the aforementioned died. |
oluwatosink:The underlying heart condition is worth considering. Generally there is nothing wrong with taking pictures as there are different reasons why people do so. Some take pictures to remember an event recently attended, some to share sweet memories with family and friends and to positively lift up the spirits and hearts of others(Proverbs 17:22) but some others with a wrong motive do so to incite jealousy(Galatians 5:26), to draw attention to themselves and achievements(Romans 12:3) and to show off their material possessions. 1John 2:16 |
livingchrist:So why did you not screenshot the beginning where “nature” was defined in three respects? Man and animals share the first one and are composed of dust but do man and animals share the third condition? I thought you were going to quote another source yet it is our own publication you are still posting meanwhile you dubiously omitted the beginning part of the page. My own question has gone unanswered for a long time now: DappaD:OP I’m not your stooge that you can fire all sorts of questions then remain mute when a question is thrown at you. So if you cannot answer the above question, then keep me out of your mentions. |
@OP has been pasting and quoting the definition of “nature” given by one of our publications, Insight On the Scriptures but for some reason, he has been omitting the beginning part which states that: “1.The basic makeup or constitution of something. 2. It can refer to what a person is by birth, 3.also to hereditary qualities along with general practice.” Here are the three definitions that the OP has been trying to omit from the publication he posted. The angels meet up all the three conditions (1. John 4:24 Psalm 104:4, 2. Job 38:7,Colossians 1:16, 3. Psalm 24:8,Psalm 103:20,2Peter 2:11) so please OP can you explain how angels do NOT share the nature of God after meeting up all the three requirements? |
