Christianity EtcRe: Valentine's Day Special: Share Your Favorite Love Song For God by DavidEsq(m): 8:59am On Feb 14, 2021
Ohthinktwice:
Here another of my favorite love songs of all time by the group called BoyzToMen titled, "Dear God".

Dear God, it's me again
I am so far from where I could have been
Dear God, I would be incomplete
But you came and touched my life in time of need

So I'm thanking you for all you've done
And for sacrificing your only son.

That's why I'm writing you this letter
To let you know that I love you
Thank you for all that I am
And for being a friend
Lord, my love for you will never end

Dear God, it's Shawn this time
I'm so grateful for the way you've changed my life
I'd give all I have, I'd just throw it all away
For a chance to walk with you through Heaven's gates

That's why I'm thanking you for your love and your grace
I don't deserve these blessings (no, no) that you give me

That's why I'm writing you this letter
To let you know that I love you
Thank you for all that I am
And for being a friend
Lord, my love for you will never end

Dear God, as a humble man I come to you like a child
Needing your knowledge, your love, and your guidance, Lord
Thank you for trusting me with my own life's decisions, God.
But I'm just a man, and I don't deserve this incredible life that you've given me, Jesus.
I love you, Lord, I love you

Dear God, it's me Wanya
I'm so sorry, so sorry for living for me
But I promise from this day on I'm livin' for you
'Cause without you my life means nothing

That's why I'm writing you this letter
To let you know that I love you
Thank you for all that I am
And for being a friend
Lord, my love for you will never end
How is God and Valentine connected, for Pete's sake?

Thank u my brother, abi sis. U see these men called pastors who are full of themselves, they are very empty and do not have a shred of godliness in them. That's why 2 Timothy 3:7 tells us to avoid such ppl. Psalm 103:14 tells us that God knows that we are dust. In other words, God handles us delicately. The patience God showed in his dealings with Abraham, when Abraham was pleading on behalf of Sodom and Gomorrah and when Moses was giving different excuses of not wanting to go to Ejypt, is clear evidence of what Psalm 103:14 says. It's a good thing Ezekiel 34 tells us that God would decimate such ones very soon.

It was until I ran downstairs and saw everyone waiting at the MUSTERING POINT I realized it was a drill.. grin grin grin

Why the hell would the divorce proceedings last this long? That is Justice Othman who is very liberal in things like this. They would have just agreed on some points, made a Memorandum of settlement and signed it. It would be adopted by the court as consent judgment and in less than 8 weeks (worst case scenario), matter don finish.

Successful women are a big threat to Nigerian men. It hurts a Nigerian man if a woman doesn't worship them and crawl to them for everything. And when they do, same men complain and call them liabilities. Confused set of beings I've ever seen.
I really don't understand where u chicas get these narratives from. Saying "Nigerian men" expressly means all of 'em with no exception. I think it's a dangerous mindset that could be harmful to u. I wouldn't have to feel obligated to tell how different some of 'em are because by d feelings of "certainty", in ur comment, it would mean u have have been run through by them all and that's a hell of number. I hope u find ur peace tho cos it's a horrible thing to be in a mind like that which u are expressing. Hope this meets u well grin grin

The story of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, David, etc happened as iconic mountains and wells associated with them are still standing today in Israel and Lebanon. The story of Israel's sojourn in Egypt is not a fable as Egypt has the most accurate historical monument preservation record. The existence of prophets Jeremiah, Isaiah, Elijah, etc has archaeological evidence. The birth, life, teachings, times and death of Jesus Christ happened with places, rivers, mountains, and roads still existing.

The gospel did not come from CAUCASIANS but was accepted by them and spread in line with demands of Jesus. The same way many Africans accepted and are spreading it. The gospel doesn't get devalued because a generation of people are expressing their freewill contrary to the values inherent in the gospel. On the contrary, every action negative or positive has consequences as the same gospel says.

I put it to you, therefore, that your assertion is CARELESS FABRICATIONS that reek of ignorance.
As a follow-up on you last 3 lines, it's not just ingnorance but plain daftness, reflective of a generation with an aversion towards learning

Babylon the Great is Fallen!

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

And who is Babylon the Great, if I may ask. Don't u find it a bit confusing?

They only take what part of the Bible that fits them and quote it happily with their full chest.

Ignorant Christians are the very worst. They only remember the Bible when it suits them but run into tradition when it doesn't

Preachers of the Bible but lovers of the world.
That's why 2 Timothy 3:7 says they appear to be learning God's word but they never come to the accurate knowledge of God's word. It says we should avoid such ones.

There are people that know this Bible more than you do,their marriages still failed. If you fail to do what you're supposed to do as a husband or as a wife, bible verses won't help you oga. Someone that's not even a Christian undecided I told you to direct your advice to the op,and stop quoting me please..
This is why u have always failed WAEC.

Reason is because one is the head of the home and the other is not. When the two wants to be the head, then crisis will come. I'm happy you know that op is not a man, hence the advice I gave her. You can as well give her your advice. Good afternoon, I hope you're enjoying your day? Cheers!
So headship implies that a man should be cruel to his wife right? Do u remember somewhere in the book of Malachi where God said he bears witness to a husband's maltreatment of his wife? Do u remember that scripture in the book of Galatians were God made it clear that when a man maltreats his wife, his prayers get hindered? Do u remember somewhere in the book of Colossians, where husband's are advised no to be bitterly angry with their wives? Do u remember somewhere in the book of Ephisians were husbands are advised to assign honour to their wives? Where in this equation can u out ur tweet? U see, when the world rejects God's standards of what a marriage should be an replace it with their own ideals like yours, there will always be problems. Now whip out another useless narrative, cos I'm expecting it.

Come o! Were u born in naija and bred till university? How come u don't go werey (beserk) on some of these comments? Anyway, I really feel I have much to say about this situation but the truth is ur situation appears to be one of "noticeable red flags" and some deep unspoken stuff that doesn't imply u are less of the woman u are. Permit me to ask:
Was it u who has always wanted the relationship to work out by all means necessary? I mean before marriage. If this has always been the case, then I must say that u must have blotted out the red flags just because u were optimistic about him. If that's the case, then we must resort to Galatians 6:5: "For each one will carry his own load". This is because I see no blue skies at all.

Christianity EtcRe: Six Important Ways To Please God by DavidEsq(m): 7:43am On Jan 19, 2021
Akube1z:
God is great with thousand names in reference to Him. Know and believe Him with faith.
Exodus 3:14-15:
So God said to Moses: “I Will Become What I Choose to Become.” And he added: “This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘I Will Become has sent me to you.’” 15 Then God said once more to Moses:“This is what you are to say to the Israelites, ‘Jehovah the God of your forefathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and this is how I am to be remembered from generation to generation
Based on this scripture, particularly at the last verse, did u see where God said these are my names? No! He said THIS IS MY NAME. So God has a particular name, peculiar to him. That is why at John 17:6, Jesus said "I have made your name known to them. Did he say "I have made ur names known to them"? No! He said YOUR NAME. The Hebrews hadlve always known God's name, that is why at Psalm 83:18, the Psalmist identified God's name as Jehovah. The Hebrew rendition of Jehovah is what is popularly known as "I AM THAT I AM". But the Hebrew language of Exudos 3 :6 doesn't use the verb AM. Rather it uses "WILL BECOME". The popular song among Christendom: "mighty warrior great in battle, Jehovah is ur name" doesn't seem to be understood by those who sing it.
The other names of God are mere titles.

Akube1z:
Verses:
Hebrews 11 vs 6
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Matthew 3:17
17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 3:16-17

But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

This is the first and great commandment.

And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Matthew 22:34-40
Is it possible to please God, without knowing his personal name, just the way we know our birth father's name? Can we really please someone we barely know?

Christianity EtcRe: What Is The Significance Of Lightning White Candle After Cross Over Service? by DavidEsq(m): 11:28am On Jan 01, 2021
coputa:
Many religious adherents, especially christains light White candle after the new year cross over service, some drop it at the front of their compound or door mouth or their veranda.
What is it's significance.
It is a practice that has its root in paganism and spiritism. The Greeks and Romans worshied a god named Janus, in whose name January was named after. It was believed to be a god of doorways or beginnings. It is a two-faced god, with one face looking forward (into the future) and the other looking backwards (into the past). Now at the beginning of each year, the Greek and Roman pagans offered sacrifices and performed orgies to the god, praying for a better year. They would light candles, offer their prayers and wishes facing the candles and blow it out or let it burn out, believing that as the flame blows out or dies out, their prayers were carried off to Janus, who would then grant their prayers/wishes. It's about the same in blowing out candles on birthday celebrations and funerals/memorials. It has nothing to do with Christianity. In fact, 2 Corinthians 6:17 says we should have nothing to do with such unclean things. It says "quit touching the unclean thing"
