I think what you should do now is to draft an agreement and make him sign, stating an exact pay back day after which if he doesn't pay back, the police 'ld be involved.

The agreement can be used as a legal footing to pursue your case incase he denies oweing you or refuses to pay.

You can tell him your creditor is threatening you and you need him to sign that agreement to atleast calm things down at the moment. After he signs, please get out of that relationship immediately and wait for the right time to go for your money.

Please, do not for any reason cancel that debt. The guy is really irresponsible, he cannot always eat his cake and have it.

Make sure he does not out smart you.

Yea, poverty is a disease for sure. Alota people in that country are starving. But if the poverty statement was for me, then i'm really sorry for you.

This is why that country remains backward...it's not surprising you don't see anything wrong with a public servant keeping 40k USD in his residence, accumulating 9 cars and patronising hospitals abroad.

Well, as a doctor, let me put in some stuff....

1) from what I see here, that is NOT oral candidiasis. Those spots look brownish, candida comes as white curds on the tongue and buccal mucosa, and they RARELY affect the teeth....

2) also, it can NOT be cancer, cos if the OP really said it started since she was four years, the cancer should have finished her off a long time ago.....

3) yeah, it could be a bacterial infection, but it usually comes with very high fever and other features of sepsis. But we could still do an m/c/s

4) HIV since about 11yrs ago?? Come on....

5) my input: its likely a viral infection, but let her go to teaching hospital for further evaluation
My thoughts exactly.
For sure, that is not an oral thrush neither is it a cancerous lesion going by the 11yrs history.

Manhood 101, don't work for your inlaws ,don't work for your wife and for heaven's sake don't live in an accommodation provided you by your inlaws.
The only way for it to work long term is that you have decided to just allow yourself be kicked around like a football
What did you expect ?
The woman owns a business and you say she is succesful
The only way she achieved that success was by running her business her way and any employee must tow that line and do her bidding so I don't fault this woman entirely in that aspect ,she has to be shrewd to stay in business.

Now I will separate her role as an employer from her mother inlaw role
She definitely overstepped her bounds
You had described your girlfriend several times as a good girl
Her mother had a hand in the destruction of her relationship with you

Where I fault you greatly was taking out the frustrations you had with the mom on the daughter to the extent of telling her not to call you
How did you expect to be told when the baby was born when you walked away from the relationship and abandoned an 8 month old pregnant girl.you could have still left the house and remained in touch with the girl.
You are 25 so some of your choices are a factor of your youth
If her mom dislikes and perhaps hates you now,no one will blame her
Her side of the story is that a young man impregnated her precious daughter, she gave him a house and a job and he bailed and left her daughter alone at 8 months.

You and this girl may be good for each other but you are not yet ready for marriage, financially and emotionally
I wish you had listened go your own parents and stuck to your guns

You need to involve your parents and you may need to do some pleading to be allowed go see this baby
At that final showdown,I suspect hurtful words may have been said, apologies may have to be made
They may not have put you on the birth certificate as the father sef because they are angry with you
Thanks for this comment

@ the bolded, What legal right does he have over the child?
From what he wrote, he didn't marry the girl legally neither did he stick with her all through the journey and tough times.

He had the guts to order her never to call him again, and suddenly he wants to be a part of somebody else's struggle, tears and pain.

All i got from the OP is the story of a selfish and proud young man who thinks he can eat his cake and have it back, you no want cool down take life slowly.

"She is rushing me into marriage bla bla bla"....why she no go rush you when you decided to put the cart before the horse, she suddenly turned from a good girl to a devil because you were being persuaded to fix the mess you contributed to and do things properly.

Oga life can never be at your beck n calloo let me tell you. You have to cool down and think things through before making important decisions in life.

To say you decided to move on with your life, abandoning your girlfriend and your unborn child made me smh .....this is the time to do that because that woman and her daughter with the way you painted them won't let you anywhere close to that child, If you like go hire SAN. Except they decide to forgive you ofcourse, which means you have to keep gree gree aside and act as a responsible and grown man.

I may be blunt, but this is exactly the same thing i would tell my brother.

Goodluck!
HealthRe: He Was Asked To Hold Torchlight While Surgeons Continue Operating His Body by DBestDoc(f): 6:35pm On Apr 28, 2015
50calibre:
What about my comment didn't you understand or didn't you read the topic? Because you're basically repeating the same thing I said.

The OP said his friend was being operated on the chest (or isn't it what he said? in that case, where was he being operated on) and thè surgeon asked him to hold the light to his chest.

I said the only way he stays awake is if the operation on his chest is superficial or non-invasive. I know local anaesthetic can be applied to the area that's being operated (that's common knowledge) this comminuted used at the dentist. However local anaesthesia is not applicable in all cases, if I may ask, what part of your body was operated on? I bet it's your limb.

Allow me to counter your experience with mine, in 2012 I had a brain surgery at one of the best hospitals in the UK, and one of the top neurology hospitals in the world... (Kings College Hospital to be precise). I was given general anaesthetic, it knocked me out in seconds, I was only told to count down from 10... That's the last thing I recall till I awoke hours later.

My point is; no way a quack hospital without steady electricity can keep a patient awake while performing a chest operation. Performing an operation with torch light while sweat drips off the surgeon's face? Holy shi*t! That's the lowest thing I've ever heard, if that's true, then that hospital is a death trap
Well, i didnt see the part where he said his friend's surgery was on his chest. Maybe i'm missing something. He probably edited his OP though!

To your question, no....not my limbs. The surgery was on my boobs, i was awake all through and conscious enough to help out if my help was needed. Ofcourse there was a sort of interaction in the process and i also learnt one or 2 things from the guy 'cause
he is a specialist in that area. This was in a Chinese teaching hospital though!

My point is, if the surgery is less bloody and uncomplicated, the patient can be kept awake all through.

Shut up!! Can you and all the other ignoramuses on this thread shut the fuc*k up!! I get tired of seeing simpletons on this forum propagate ignorance.

Except it was just a superficial or non-invasive surgery on the chest, it is safe to assume that it was a heart or lung surgery. In that case, it is a major procedure which requires the patient be generally anaesthetised and intubated.

However, It is possible to perform major surgeries while the patient retains some level of consciousness. Typically, the patient will have to be heavily sedated to a point where they're just on the edge of consciousness... They can respond to basic commands, but nothing on the scale of holding a torch light into one's own chest while surgery is performed (are you insane?)

This is complex procedure which requires a higher degree of sophistication, one a hospital which can't provide steady electricity, most certainly don't have.
I thought you knew better oo. May be you should start by defining what SURGERY is.
From the OP, the region of the body where the surgery was carried out wasn't specified. From your definition, cardiothoraciic surgery is the only kind that qualifies as surgey to you. grin

Any part of the body can be operated on, it is invasive if an incision is made and non-invasive when other procedures that require minimal cut are employed. For all we know, it could be a not so bloody and uncomplicated procedure that was performed on the OP's friend.

Personally, i've had a procedure performed on me, i was awake all through chatting with the surgeons and asking questions. Lidocaine was used as the Anaesthesia, it was injected around that region and i even had to call their attention when it started wearing off so more dose was given and i left right after the whole ish...

I decided to use my personal experience as an example and not some other patient's.....its very possible for a patient undergoing surgery to help out in the process if its not gona disrupt the procedure....

the hospital released him the same evening of the surgery? i find that hard to believe.he would have been monitored for at least a day, abi na stitch dem stitch wound? that wont qualify for surgery
Chai! Oga, try read small na. No be everything you suppose write, especially wetin you no know much about.

Some surgery na outpatient surgery. You only get to report to the hospital from time to time for monitoring.

Some anaesthesia no dey sedate d patient, dem go only need to numb the pain sensation for the area wey dey need operate on. The patient is fully conscious. And ofcourse you can leave right after the surgery is done and wound is dressed provided you will be careful enough to avoid injuries to the operated site.

Short sighted retar*ds like you are always quick to name drop Dangote, bill gates & Zuckerberg without taking various factors into account.

You're not Dangote, he was born rich whereas you're just a regular joe on the street. I understand your expectations of your government are so low because you're used to it but don't try to stifle the voice of someone demanding the basics from her government.

FamilyRe: Husbands, Can You Survive A Week Without Your Wife? by DBestDoc(f): 10:01pm On Jan 31, 2015
martyns303:
Frankly He's just being lazy.

How was he surviving before he got married? After marriage he relinquished basic responsibilities such as cooking, cleaning etc solely to his wife

These are the reasons why a couple should do chores together. Cos she can be sick, pregnant, had a baby etc.
I hope he appreciates her more after coming to the realization.

Guys your wife/fiancee/GF is not a machine or a paid maid, if you can't do all those chores. How do you expect her to do them all alone and she's the weaker sex?

Here's a few tip on how i share chores.

1. Follow her to the market, am terrible at pricing things so I don't even bother, but I carry the bags, by watching, I now know how much a particular item should cost on average. I can now help ones a while with market, tho she always say they cheated me.

2. Am with her in the kitchen, I help dice okra, clean fresh fish, blend tomatoes etc. Now am a pro in cooking.

3. We clean together, Saturday being a major cleaning day.

4. I wash my own jean, and help with hers, while she washes all our clothes that require hand wash, she is very meticulous. Boxers, bedspread, towels etc goes to the washing machine.

Like my mom will tell us her male children, "men don't NEED respect, it is women who need it, between a man and a woman, the man will always be respected, he doesn't need what he already has"
Wow!
I'm impressed.
