But today they label Fulanis as Jihadists for promoting the same one-Nigeria Philosophy invented and championed by the 'great' Zik of Africa the foremost Nationalist and detribalised Nigerian who ironically was not only a member of a tribal association known as Igbo State Union (ISU) but even accepted to be its president.

Do Yoruba people not spew venom on PDP despite the fact that the party gave Yoruba people the president seat for 8 years. So is it that the Yoruba are in or Greedy
I am not Yoruba in the first instance.
Secondly I have never seen any Yoruba person who argues that Imo and Ehonyi people are no longer in the SE region for being ruled by APC. I have also never read a Yoruba person here describe anyone as anyone's slave without any provocation to it. I have never read a Yoruba person claim that Oyo people are traitors among them for voting for PDP when all other SW states prefer APC.
But I have read Igbos here insult Edo State, Delta Central and other SS enclaves as traitors, Fulani slaves and idiots for electing APC candidates as governors or National Assembly representatives.
FYI Obasanjo was actually the candidate of the Igbo-Hausafulani complex in the 1999 election against Falae who was the Yorubas' actual choice.
Politics › Re: Ohanaeze: There Will Be No Nigeria If Igbo Is Denied Presidential Ticket In 2023 by Deadlytruth(m):
I can't imagine that these people won't mind flying APC ticket for 2023 given how much bile and venom they have been spewing on the party since its founding in 2013. Last Saturday Abia bye-election is a clear evidence that APC will have irreversibility nailed its own coffin onto final extinction if it ever experiments with Igbo candidacy in 2023. APC even stands a better chance in fielding a SS candidate than a SE one. If APC gives ticket to an Igbo man and he wins by any miracle, that will be the first time in the history of Nigeria that an incumbent president will defect from one party to another as such Igbo president is sure to defect to PDP at the slightest provocation. Igbos have their bodies, souls and spirits in PDP no matter how the party humiliates, cheats, represses, oppresses and derides them.
If PDP cannot give Igbos 2023 ticket despite all the costly sacrifices that tribe has blindly been making for the party since 1999 to the extent of even the political absurdity of insulting nearly every other tribe in defense of PDP, then any other party that thinks it can endear Igbos to itself by offering them 2023 ticket will be very naive and in fact silly for not first wondering why their beloved PDP is scared of giving them ticket in the first instance.

Where in that writeup did you see Azikiwe telling you he wanted to rule and dominate Nigeria? If not for anything, he was trying to save the north which appeared weak to maintain a separate country, ànd that their separation would become a big burden on the south if crisis happen. Every right thinking person will see thàt writeup as one showing the traits of the common Ibo man, as one who hates to see others suffer. There is no gainsaying that the south would never have been in peace if the north did not get it right if they formed a separate country. And what has the north done in appreciation to the Igbo man after his sacrifice to save them them from destruction?
Your attempt to deny the desire of Zik to have his people dominate Nigeria amidst the preponderance of evidence is at best a comic relief.
Didn't Zik declare in 1945 that the gods of Igbo land had destined Igbos to rule over Africa perpetually?
Then in 1949, didn't Charles Onyeama re-echo Zik in more specific diction when he declared that Igbo domination of Nigeria was just a question of time?
Are you aware that the North which you claim Zik wanted to save in those circumstances had already started killing Zik's own kinsmen in thousands years before Zik purportedly started wanting to save them? If yes, then are you suggesting that Zik's way of reasoning was so weird and nebulous that he believed that between a killer and his victim it is the killer that needs to be saved from his victim? Sometimes the ways some of you Igbos rewrite history just to whitewash this myopic and greedy Zik leaves one wondering if your current cries of marginalization by the Nigerian system should be taken seriously.
What that monicker you quoted said in that particular write up is the uncomfortable truth about how we got into this mess. Zik and Ironsi remain the greatest evils that befell Nigeria.

The ceding of Cross River State's oil wells to Akwa Ibom happened under a PDP controlled federal government of Jonathan with both the loser Cross River State and the gainer Akwa Ibom State under the PDP when it happened, and the loss of oil-rich Bakassi Peninsula also happened under the Obasanjo-led PDP. Yorubas should certainly consider their options if another Northerner is President in 2023 because we are signing our own death warrant and inadvertently resigning ourselves to the fate of going down with Nigeria.

Buhari has made it crystal clear Nigeria cannot become truly great under a INortherner. No Northerner will touch the fundamentally unfair underpinnings of Nigeria because such favours them. This much every Southerner should know and appreciate by now.

What Zamfara did under PMB, using clever technicality to keep all proceeds of its gold mining, shows how unfair the North is willing to be in the attempt to control the wealth of Nigeria amid other glaring actions that has already given the region control of essential parastatals and armed forces of our nation.

Didn't Obasanjo label as haters of Nigeria unity all those who led these restructuring campaigns? Didn't Jonathan reluctantly convoke a confab which he never genuinely intended to implement its report?

Exactly. Akintola actually had a very solid and justifiable argument. I think the manner he went about it such that it brought ridicule to Awolowo, was why he didn't acquire traction among majority of his Yoruba folk. Your position above that this country was founded on lies and falsehood is very correct and factual. In fact figures like Ahmadu Bello, Awolowo, Enahoro and Balewa all attested to this fact right from the beginning and to that effect moved motions for secession clause or outright de-amalgamation but Zik sabotaged all their efforts because he was greedily seeking to take the place of the about-to-depart-colonial masters being a neo-colonialist himself. At another point in time Isaac Adaka Boro even went as far as physically attempting to break up Nigeria in order that everyone might go their separate ways to forestall the mess we are currently in but he was arrested and sentenced to death for that by none other than Ironsi and Ojukwu who incidentally were, like Azikiwe, from the tribe now complaining most of how unworkable Nigeria is and the need to end the false marriage. Wasn't the marriage already false and contrived as at when Azikiwe, Ojukwu and Ironsi were busy sabotaging efforts of other tribes to end it? And you are saying his northernisation agenda is only for the North.
You must have been assuming that the complete history of those events are lost. Ahmadu Bello initially didn't want the North to be part of Nigeria prior to independence. In fact he was the originator of the description of Nigeria as "the mistake of 1914" and was also the first person ever to ask for de-amalgamation. So how could he have dreamt of having as estate of his grandfather a country he didn't even wish to be part of in the first instance? Even if we are to assume that he later declared Nigeria as his grandfather's estate on October 11 1960 as has been alleged, shouldn't that have been due to the fact that he and his Northern Region where forced to remain in Nigeria against their wish by a coalition of the colonial masters and the myopic one-Nigeria chanting Zik? If you are arm twisted into belonging to a group where you have reasons to fear that you will be an endangered species, wouldn't you defend yourself by being proactively aggressive in that forced union?

Northernising every political position in Nigeria

Also where he upheld his hatred on easterners and igbos ,to extent even bbc journalists was shock
I think that was why nzeogwu hate him too,a niger delta labeled igbo coup
Apart from Ahmadu Bello making himself very clear in that interview
that his Northernization policy was for the Northern Region alone and not for the entire Nigeria, common sense dictated that under the highly decentralized extant structure of those times it wasn't just going to be possible for any individual from one particular region, be he the prime minister or a premier, to impose a particular policy on the entire country unlike the way it has become today courtesy of the unitary system imposed on us by an Igbo army officer who got to power through the back door which he opened with the barrel of a gun. So if Igbos felt that Ahmadu Bello's Northernization policy was negativity affecting those of them resident in the North back then, then the next thing would have been to relocate back home to their Eastern Region and encourage their own premier too to commence Easternization policy for the Eastern Region. And come to think of it, didn't Ahmadu Bello ask the British journalist in that interview if any graduate of Northern origin was employed in either the Eastern or Western public service and he could not give an affirmative answer in all honesty? So it means every regional premier back then was doing exactly what they were accusing Ahmadu Bello of doing just because Ahmadu Bello wasn't pretending about his but was bold and candid enough to admit it before the public glare.

I am with you totally on this. Igbos called Jonathan their own son. In fact Igbos began to use the expression SS-SE thus suggesting that these two regions had become one and the same. So why are they now miffed at the suggestion that a SS man clinches PDP ticket in 2023 if the SS and SE since 2015 became one region in their perception?
also agree with you that GEJ was a creation of accident hence didn't really represent us especially if one considers his penchant for sacrificing SS interest in trying to connect himself with Northerners' sympathy. If each region were to be allowed to choose their own representatives in the executive the SS was more likely to have chosen Donald Duke as Yaradua's running mate and potential successor for the 2007 PDP ticket.

You have been peddling this narrative.
First and foremost the regions are geopolitical and not geographical hence your rhetorical question of whether there is a cardinal direction called South South is actually a search for political correctness on your part. This argument has become stale. There are institutions of democracy to address abuse of state or regional police should governors use them for electoral heist, but there are no institutions of democracy known to bring back to life people who die due to the failure of the centralized policing system. Moreover, Yahaya Bello will not be governor of Kogi State forever. When there is state police it will be left for citizens to vote responsible persons as governors and that will even help in discouraging the attitude of voting based on sentiments generally in the country.
