Hi Nairalanders
This is really disturbing me right now,I just wedded about 2 months ago
My mother in-law first visit was 2 weeks ago, I purposely left the house before she came because I was not really bucks up
Suddenly she came this morning around 7:30 am without a pre notice. She didn’t tell my wife nor call any of us to let us know she’s coming.

She stays about 35 mins drive to my house,my parents stays about 5mins drive to my house and they can not try such and perhaps. They are too busy for all that nonsense

I’m in my room right now alone here on Nairaland seeking for advice on what to do before I do wrong. I am planning to tell my wife when her mother is gone and warm her never to let such happen again.

imagine you. When people say their inlaw comes to their house unannounced does not mean u too falls into that category.
35m drive to ur house is just a stone throw and it is also possible she was going somewhere and just decide to branch off or did she tell u she is planning to start leaving with u?. She also might just be missing her daughter.
Taking u unaware also means she is not expecting anything or any kind preparation to receive inlaw from you.

I have been having this thought of quitting my job to learn driving in order to pick up an UBER or BOLT job but the fear of getting a car on hire purchase is always coming as an hindrance.

I am a family man whose salary of just #85,000 is not even enough to cater for the family .Before the salary even comes in, there are always debts that have been incurred.

Most times,I dont even get up to #20,000 as a result of debts and seriously I am fed up. Infact , I think of suicide sometimes because i am so depressed right now. I have rent of #140,000 hanging on my neck too.

Please will it be wise to quit to learn driving for purpose of commercial driving job?

if ur job has no prospect like u could learn one or two to operate on ur own, I advice you leave the job. And u can also be in the job and get a car before you resign. Do not make the mistake of resigning without been sure of getting the vehicle.

An average corper is stingy man. How i do my things are, if I get to place i try to make the place comfortable for myself.
That room is not bad for a Nigeria village all they need to do is to contribute money and buy a carpet and also look for foam cover and cover that dirty mattress. Or probably buy a new one for themselves.
See how they also pack refuse at the front of the house.
They can at least make the environment clean. That floor looks like what has not been cleaned for a very long time.
Other corpers in some places don't even have a lodge they go outside to look for houses while you with free house cannot maintain the one you see. Or do want the government to employ clean for u lazy corpers.
