If you adhered to the terms of your previous visa then you don’t need to panic it’s not necessary, just drop your passport and hope for the best. With Drop box tension is less you have no cause to bother you’ll be okay.

Did you travel to France?
A travel history to a country means you landed in the country and were cleared by immigration of the country and exited same as of when due. You didn’t use your visa and merely having a visa on your passport doesn’t guarantee entry into the country neither does it count as a travel history, be guided to avoid misrepresentation.

You’re very correct, you can apply for and get the passport in Lagos if you didn’t get it in the usa, during covid era a lot of people came to Lagos with etc and applied for passport in Lagos.

According to what I heard or read online, I can only begin the passport renewal process six months before its expiration date.

My passport will expire on October 14, 2024. This means that the earliest I may begin my passport renewal process in 2024 is April 14, and my US visa appointment interview is scheduled for April 19.

This is a serious issue.

For myself my passport expires in October this year and I started the renewal process in January, got a capture date for March.
For my mom then her interview was November, started passport process in august, she captured in October ending and got her passport in two weeks, right on time for the interview.
You can begin the process before it’s left with six months validity, you can capture before 6 months but they won’t begin production till it’s left with 6 months(this happened with my sibling) or you pay for migration and production begins immediately regardless of expiration.
I hope I’ve been able to shed enough light on passport wahala and the woes of being a Nigerian passport holder m.

Less than six months validity , no they won’t allow. Get a new passport and go with both, they’ll issue on the new one, this happened with my mom a few months ago.

PPR finally came in today 🙏😅🥳 I don’t know how to behave. I ran downstairs to show my husband and we were jumping quietly together so as not to wake our toddler.

By the way, my international passport will expire on 5th September this year. Should I submit it like that for COPR processing or try to renew first? Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this? I also would appreciate advice on what visa office to send our package to.

Hi guys. Pls my children were asked to schedule follow up appointments for fingerprinting. We have gone to do it on cgi but no dates appear. Do they release the dates from time to time or is there another way to do it?

Oh and for those asking, they have started giving the 5 years. My husband just got his own. He applied since Feb 7th and just picked up today.

Something to encourage the Veterans here,myself and wife got our visa approved via Dropbox. We had two kids in Oakbend Hospital 2015/2018. I was very active on this page around 2014.

Our last Visa expired in 2019. Even though wife got a medical visa,we never bothered applying during the Trump years due to the funny rejection rate for parents of US citizens and the long time wait for appointment.

Submission was done on the 7th of February
Visa was Issued on the 23rd of February

Even though this is my 4th application for a US visa i wtill believe God's grace worked for us . I believe Being truthful and upfront at the previous visa interview also helped.

Getting a 2nd passport for our kids has been one of the best decisions we've made as a couple. In those days many people thought our decision was a waste of money as Nigeria wasnt this rough then.i say, Goodluck to everyone on this adventure,it will end in praise.

This is really annoying and soo painful. I will forever regret missing out on ITA on Dec 23, 2020 due to tie breaking rules! I was so sure of getting ITA in the next draw then they suspended draw for nearly a year and half now, the scores keep getting higher and age keep increasing 😩

There’s no need to regret it wasn’t your fault. Don’t beat yourself. If you can learn French learn French it’ll add to your scores

You choose whatever date available and wait it out, also keep checking for closer dates. Beginning of last year I got June 2023 for my family and it’s almost June.
With the introduction of Dropbox there should be less pressure on appointment dates, I guess.

Good evening, for lawyers- please how did you get law school transcript? Did you apply for the transcript from Lagos campus or Abuja campus?

No need for BL transcript for the purposes of EE, just send only LLB to IQAS to get a professional certificate evaluation. Just incase you want to apply for BL in the future, you’ll apply to Abuja campus, the steps are on the law school website but you will need someone to follow up for you in Abuja if you want it to be swift.

It depends, some have gotten theirs back in 5 days and some have taken 3 weeks.

Good morning beautiful Mama's, trust were pushing on. May our delivery be easy injn. I'm currently 30weeks 2days today, so My Dr. told me that I'll do a scan at 32 weeks to check the baby wellbeing. I'm just curious to know what type of scan that is. Has anyone done it? Is it the same scan like ultrasound scan?
My 2nd question is - I always thought all pregnant women has swollen feet while pregnant but me my legs are not sweel up. I'm still wearing my old slippers. Is it OK?

Growth scan is what they asked you to do and it’s a routine scan, it’s very normal to be done around that time, in Nigeria it’s hardly spoken of in some hospitals because they consider affordability and overlook it, in the hospital I use it’s standard procedure and must be done, hospitals differ.

If your feet isn’t swollen then you’re lucky and it’s a good sign you’re not retaining water and no edema.

Go to the foundation school around social sciences and request for your transcript, you don’t have to go in person you can send someone, I sent someone when I needed mine. They were on this Nasu strike then so it took about three weeks to process(this was sometime last year April)

Then you’re covered, you get your two years. When you renew and the visa is still valid on the other passport, you travel with both and that’s all.
Sorry I read this as august this year not next year.

They won’t issue a visa on a passport with less than 6 months validity. Try to renew your passport before your interview and go with both(old&new).

My last appointment the doctor booked me for induction at 37 weeks but the doctor i saw today felt i wont be needing an induction as everything sims to be fine with me ..its a teaching hospital i don't KNOw how to request for an induction because my last pregnancy they tagged me high risk i bleed like a tap and had an episode with pre eclemsia ..my bp never shot up all through the pregnancy but it did during labour ..i have my fears i dont want a repeat of what happened as i lost the baby in the whole process ..i plan to request for an induction in my next antenatal visit i dont know if it sounds strange ..the last doctor i saw gave me better audience than this one ..i am really tired and exhausted .mamas plz i need your opinions ..and my baby flipped and is head down ..glory be to God will not be needing a c section ..march mamas how are you all holding up ...the lord is our strength we are almost there

I’m glad to read your baby flipped, it relieves me a lot. Due to this last episode you described I think you need a doctor with listening ears, maybe look for the previous doctor and engage him on a one on one level and maintain that you want it to be in the teaching hospital facility. I’ve had a similar stint as yours going by your description and I realized I needed personalised care and moved on to that which has been very helpful to me.
Please like I mentioned earlier find the earlier one you feel comfortable with and engage him on a one on one basis if it means paying him but let him know you want to stay in the hospital you don’t want a private facility, you just want his personalised care while using this government hospital. Don’t worry everything will be okay, we share similar sentiments when it comes to this doctors and I don’t like doctors who don’t have listening ears and always rushing everything without thoroughly considering my past history, I’ll be worried also.

I have been a silent member of this thread since my wife got pregnant. This is our first pregnancy and we are expecting twins. On getting to the hospital today the doctor said they don't allow Virgin delivery for multiple pregnancies and that we have to get a date for CS. I am quite nervous, it's not that she has a particular health issue but it's just the hospital policy. We are 27 weeks already. Please what do you advise?

Many people have had twins via vagina delivery. If the doctor was giving a cogent reason other than hospital policy I’d have bought it. Anyway twins are generally categorized as high risk but it’s still not a reason for a c-section, if he’s saying there’s going to be a c-section then there should and there must be a solid reason. I’ll suggest you seek a second opinion with a qualified and highly experienced obgyn and also one who has listening ears. Ask questions like are the babies sharing same placenta or different placentas because that’s another reason for categorisation of twins as high risk and wanting c-section and other questions based off the symptoms your wife feels.

I’m highly fustrated I don’t think I can re write ielts I gave it my all with the last one I wrote. I lost 4 points due to my reading I had 7band in reading instead of 8 had it been I maxed out the reading I would be on 485 instead of 481, anytime I remember he Dey pain me big time.

I know how tiring this thing can be but we need to keep striving because the goal is to get ITA, if money could buy points, people will buy the points at any amount. If it’s rewriting IELTS that’ll move you up please do, it’s necessary to vent

Please mamas, is there anything I can do to reduce the stitches pains?? . I got tear, my baby also gave me tear. I was told not to sit on hot water to avoid the stitching getting loose and to avoid re stitching. Bikonu, I need help, since Thursday, I have been in pains.

Try the tucks medicated cooling pads and Dermoplast pain relieving spray. I bought these for a friend a few years ago and they were helpful to the tears she had from labour. I forgot to add that you should ask your doctor for stool softener it also helps a whole lot with little to no strain while trying to do number 2.

As a personal opinion and a very personal one so I don’t stand to be corrected because I’m not enforcing my opinion on anyone, I don’t support local birthing centres therapy, I’ve heard too many stories that touch from different people, in the case of any emergency or anything goes wrong they don’t have emergency medical care, even abroad home birthing is done by doulas and midwives and there’s always 911 to take care of any emergency that arises during the home birthing. Not in this Nigeria where you can’t sue anyone for negligence and get real justice.

If your bp has been unstable then 37-38 weeks is what the doctors will allow and I also know doctors don’t like to induce women with bp issues because pains from induction raises the blood pressure.
I need you to be open minded that all will be well and anything can happen between now and even tomorrow, the baby can turn at any point in time, it’s also good to be open minded to whichever option that eventually arises and that God will take perfect control. If you eventually have a c-section you will heal perfectly and it’s not as bad as some people portray it to be, bodies differ so some people heal faster and also pain management is very key post op, if you have good pain management therapy from your OB you will hardly feel any excruciating pains.
