Smith35: Finally, 5yrs visit visa granted to my mother-in-law. Biometric was done on 11th of October. Vignette stated visa was issued 21/12/2021. Good luck to everyone waiting. Despite getting an email from UKVI over a month ago stating passport has been returned to VAC, Ikeja. I’ve come to the conclusion that TLS Contact is the lazy link. Congratulations are in order o, another waiting finally ended. |

solid3: Good afternoon house.
Please I need basic information about Tourist Visa to the UK.
I know this might have been discussed previously, I don't know where to start digging the info from with more than 500 pages of thread.
I'm an entrepreneur, married with children, own landed property, no travel history.
Things I'll like to know: - What should my minimal budget be like? - How much do I need to have in account for proof of fund? - Every other basic info.
Thanks in advance. With your profile It’ll do you a lot of good to read through the thread, different speculations of eligibility has been discussed and over discussed here, there’s no visa officer here to tell you your chances. You’ll get a better perspective reading through. |

Osoderi: Thank you. Pls do you know where one can do the COVID pre departure test in Lagos at an affordable price and the recognised one accepted. Thank you The prices are almost uniform with slight differences. Check the Ncdc website for the list of authorized centers |

Osoderi: Morning everyone and merry Christmas.
I am fully vaccinated and will be traveling to uk soon. I want to confirm if those that are fully vaccinated will do a covid test in Nigeria bf leaving
I taught that if one is fully vaccinated the only thing one need is to register for the day 2 on the locator form and print the email and vaccinated card to present at the airport.
Please I need clarification from those who have traveled or soon be traveling. I am a bit confused. Thank you for your response. You'll need a pre-departure covid test, you'll also need to book day 2 covid test ahead for when you arrive the uk. Don't forget to take the vaccine card evidencing your fully vaccinated status. |

sojimomomo: Hello everyone, Merry Christmas!
Please, is there any other vaccine apart from yellow fever and pre-departure PCR covid test for person who is visiting the UK?
And, can I go for the pre-departure PCR covid a day before my travel?
Thank you. I forgot to add carry your vaccination card. Yellow fever Nah, book your day 2 test kit online, use the reference for your passenger locator form anytime from 48 hours to your arrival in the Uk, do your test in any of the govt approved covid center's in Lagos or wherever you at about 24 hours to your trip and get to the airport early to avoid a rush. Don’t forget to print a copy or have the pdf of your passenger locator form handy, print out your covid negative test, return flight ticket, and fill out the necessaries at the airport in Lagos. Safe flight |

Nchabuomo: People have also left their families and overstayed their visas. A job is a tie and in this case a 300k job is a good tie in my opinion. It goes both ways. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Debbieeeeeee: 9:54am On Dec 24, 2021 |
Nchabuomo: In my opinion, this tie thing should not ideally be an issue. Your job is a tie, which should be enough to secure you a visa. I feel the VO is already biased, given the previous refusals. I also think the situation with your finances did not help your case at all.
I have applied for a UK visa a few times from Nigeria, and I have never had a problem. My only tie to Nigeria per se is my parents, whom I never mention apart from the part where you are asked about their details. I am less than 30 yrs old, so well within the age group of irregular migrants.
I suggest that you stop applying to the UK, focus on building a decent travel history and keep your account clean. I have found that the easiest way to get a visa is to keep your story straight and present a clean account. Unfortunately, no VO has the time to try to untangle a convoluted tale. Good luck! People have left their high-paying jobs and overstayed their visas in the past, so a job only being a tie isn't a strong tie per se. |

bukimireal: I have just been refused. What should I do. This is my third refusal There are two issues here: ties to Nigeria be it social, economic, etc ( officer has just noted in this refusal that you don't have ties that'll bring you back home after your visit. Are you married? Do you have kids? Do you have aged parents that you care for here? Do you have property here? He also said there as deposits in your account about the 300k you stated that you earn without explanation. Did you do a letter of explanation, explaining your herbal circumstances and also explaining three extra monies in your account? |

Russkii: Good day Every one. During my biometrics, I opted and paid for the keep my passport service at TLS. I have received a decision mail and will be submitting my passport to receive the visa. Any idea on how long it will take to get my passport back? Since you’ve gotten a decision I don’t think sticking the Visa vignette to the passport should not take time. Please keep the house updated . Lastly, when was your biometrics? did you apply for priority? |

quote author=Debbieeeeeee post=108543113]Prophetess is tired. 37 working days today. I just know it will end this December, it won’t enter January. They probably tossed your files to different persons to work on, because that’s the only plausible reason as to why you got yours early while his own is still pending. Don’t worry I’m hopeful it will not exceed this December . |

Lems2: 45 working days now, I don’t know what to do. Tired of calling and sending paid mails It’s like we are playing hide and seek now. Any week I send an email they’ll tell me to check back next week, next week they’ll say next week , next week is another next week. To cut long story short, we are on the third “email again” next week as we speak now . I’m waiting for Monday to fire another email, I hope I don’t get another next week. |

Dinoforyou00: Are we going to count the 6 working days while Nigeria was on redlist? With our normal counting. Remember they said they stopped working on visitor’s application during that period @Debbieeeee I counted it and I’m relying on an email I sent to them as soon as we were included on the red list, I was expressly told my application was still actively being worked on. It was a source of concern to me and I had to send a paid mail. |
