PoliticsRe: 120 Days After, Ribadu Committee's Report Not Ready by dedeike:
Kobojunkie: Yes, @KoboJunkie made Ribadu say, back in May 2012, that there was nothing ready from the Committee.

And @KoboJunkie is to blame for the lack of updates, to the last update, from Ribadu's team up to this day July 6th 2012(more than 60 days after the stipulated time).

Yes, @KoboJunkie is to blame for Ribadu's Team inability to, after over 120 days(more than 60 days over the time stipulated) deliver a report(draft or final)to the Nation.

Yes ooo!!! @Kobojunkie is to blame for Goodluck Jonathan going on Live TV on June 24th, to tell the nation that it has to wait another year before they can see any of he Changes he has been spending their billions of dollars on for the last more than 2 years.

Yes, @Kobojunkie was not elected but @Kobojunkie is to blame.

you have made a profession out of confusing issues and spreading falsehood.
RIBADU's committee does not have a statutory backing. It was set up at the discretion of the president to oversee oil revenue. The president thru the Minister of Petroluem inaugurated them and gave them terms of reference. They are only responsible to the minister and not to anybody. They report to her directly. She determines when they are to stop or continue. If there are more issues to be addressed she can extend their deadline and owes no one any apology. The ultimate end is the result. If they succeed, the minister takes the credit. If they fail, she will take the blames of KOBOJUNKIE and CO. so there's nothing like stipulated time as being bandied by KOBOJUNKIE.

Secondly, you sought also to twist obvious facts when you lied about what the president said on June 24 th. The president did not say we have to wait till next yr for dividends of democracy.

Already, his achievements are visible in every sector. All the Zaria-Funtua-Gusau roads, Oshodi-Apapa with expansion and drainage works, dedicated bridge frm liverpool roundabout to Tin can ports, trailer park, Dualisation of Ibadan -Ilorin, ENUGU-Onitsha, completion of OWERRI -Onitsha, 9th mile, ongoing reconstruction of Benin-Ore-Sagamu highway measuring over 265 km, Kano-Maidugri Dualisation. Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass to mention but a few.
In Transport, massive reforms at the ports. Sanitisation and reduction of operating agencies to 7. Introduction of 24 hrs ports operation. Ongoing Construction of light gauge train railways across t4 cardinal point of the federation

OIn Aviation, massive reconstruction of major airports in the land, Enugu airport is undergoing total rehabilitation. The domestic wing of Abuja airport is also being reconstructed with expansion of roads and car parks. Same fr the international wing and the kano airports

In Education, establishment of 9 new federal universities in less than 1 year. Constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law schools in Yenagoa and Yola respectively. Launched the Almajiri schools for education of itenerant Islamic pupils in the north wFhich Buhari and other northern leaders abandoned. Increased funding to almost 400 billion to education thereby setting an all time highest record. Reinvigorated the inspectorate oversight of schools leading to the revocation of some licenses from universities. Executed the landmark upgrade of university lecturers retirement age from 65 to 70.

What the president said is that people like KOBOJUNKIE who have found a business in criticizing him should continue while he concentrates on his ongoing reforms. That when most of his reforms I.e power sector reforms, civil service reforms, Energy reforms etc are thru, they will have a rethink.

KOBOJUNKIE STOP SPREADING LIES. Say the TRUTH even if it deprives you of your meal ticket by your paymasters

Joe Batters: Dis Government na chop chop government oooo, everybody go just chop n clean mouth like say nothing dey happen.....d more u look d less u see shocked, d more u hear/read d less u understand. Dis is a SMOKE & MIRRORS government. One thing is certain "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time." Nigerians are getting wiser. One day bushmeat go catch d hunter . grin
shut up and stop saying what you don't know. You have a right to be ignorant but you must not make a public show of it. "Dis govt na chop chop" what did they chop? For the first time in the history of this country, govt is taking serious steps to entrench accountability in the oil sector. THis govt is the first to formulate a comprehensive law to govern the oil sector thru the PIB. others were busy looting the sector dry and sharing oil blocks. In lone year, this govt has instituted several probes in the oil sector. There is the KPMG AUDIT. There is the AIG IMOUKHEDE panel. There is the RIBADU COMMITTEE, all intended to clean up the rot in the sector preparatory to full deregulation.
To show you the sincerity of this govt, the president looked beyond partisan interests to appoint his opponent in the last general elections to look into our oil revenue. Tell me which other president that can do it. It's a rare feat in governance that is worthy of emulation worldwide. And the integrity and competence of RIBADU can never be questioned. What GEJ did is akin to Fashola removing tax revenue from his godfather-TINUBU's control and inviting Jimi Abaje or Femi Pedro to handle it. It can't happen yet you have the impetus to criticise GEJ. see how foolish you are

Another failed propaganda by KOBOJUNKIE. What is wrong in Ribadu's committee again? Imagine how wicked we could be in our opposition to govt. That committe was inaugurated to ensure transperancy, accountability and proper administration of oil revenue. It's a novel venture which no govt has deemed fit to initiate in the past.
Atimes, i am tempted to believe that these cabal who are at the receiving end of present reforms in govt are the ones behind all these propaganda. But it will not work. KOBOJUNKIE& co are threatened by this transformation breeze. All these noise and hullabaloo is to distract RIBADU and make him rush into submitting a watery report that will not be so harsh on their corrupt paymasters. One may ask, what is KOBOJUNKIE's interest in the number of days it will take RIBADU to submit his report? Even if RIBADU submitts the report in less than 20 days, KOBOJUNKIE will still resort to another antics to discredit the report.

Pataki: It is bleeding to the eyes to read your verbiage without paragraphs. There is no point in refuting your lies here.

However just to humor you a little, you say that the Ribadu committee is already yielding results. Which results? Where is the report?

Here is a news report given by Ribadu about the SAME committee you have stated in your composition of lies:

So please come with better lies next time! cheesy
it's funny how stupid you could be in your desperation to nail GEJ. out of all the wonderful points canvassed on the results of Oronsanye committee, the ports committee, the aviation committee, etc. you singled out Ribadu committee for manipulation of facts in order to suit your falsehood. What I said clearly in black and white is that RIBADU COMMITTEE IS YIELDING RESULTS AND REDUCING WASTAGES. I never said their REPORT IS OUT as you twisted in order to undermine the efforts of this govt. As a layman who is only vast in doing the job of a spin doctor on Nairaland, you may not be privy to information in the oil industry. So i do not blame you for this goof. But if you we're smart a bit, you would have noticed that you reproduced evidence in support of my earlier assertions in your post. You quoted RIBADU in the leadership newspaper as saying: " MY COMMITTEE IS SERIOUSLY WORKING AND WILL SOON COMPLETE IT'S ASSINGMENT AND SUBMIT ITS REPORT. How is this different from my position. Pls stop fooling yourself on Nairaland with your feeble defences. When someone is working, appreciate it. I still await your refutals on the other claims i made about the other committees or should I take your silence to be admission of truth?
Prosecute those indicted already with sincerity and get a commission rolling with 6-months mandate to further clean sweep all those connected to the huge economic sabotage. I am sure most Nigerians would not be shouting 'ole' with this new committees if someone was already put to jail and the top management of the companies that comitted economic crimes against Nigeria and Nigeria are now cooling off in prisons with assests frozen and proceed from subsidy retrieved!

Mind you, when a commission's paper is adopted by GEJ's government, it can be used by any subsequent government to jail whoever is indicted!
you're just restating what the govt is doing. Those indicted at the pension scam probe have been arraigned in court. They are already facing criminal charges for siphoning 126 billion pension funds. It's as a result of the bold step by Jonathan to institute a task force for pensions. The Fg has reaffirmed its resolve to prosecute those indicted in the AIG PROBE hence the need to do a proper review. Secondly, another mistake people make is to assume that those indicted will be sent directly to jail. It's not so. The law must take its full course and the process of litigation is usually very lengthy. Besides, the culprits usually have the resources to engage the best lawyers in the land to defend their case. When the defence team secures bail for the accused perspn's, people assume that the case has ended as it fades away from public consciousness. It takes special commitment to follow up those proceedings to its logical conclusion. Much as we admit that our judicial process is slow, but the technicalities of the law could be exploited by the defence team to enlongate a case to their advantage. Even in more advanced countries, this is the case. We would recall that our own Mutallab was just convicted this year in US almost 2 yrs after he tried to bomb the US plane.
PoliticsRe: No Official Delegation To Olympics by dedeike: 4:11pm On Jul 06, 2012
@kobojunkie, it's obvious you would never see anything good in this GEJ beacuse you are paid to rubbish all his efforts on Nairaland. I don't expect you to be objective. Doing so might strip you of your only means of livelihood. Anytime I log onto Nairaland, you re always attacking one GEJ policy or another. I begin to wonder whether anyone will be so desperate in this hatchet job without a fee. I do not begrudge you for doing the job of your paymasters but I advice you to be more discreet about it. This is necessary so that you will restore a modicum of credibility to your posts. A situation where you just jump to criticise anything GEJ leaves you hollow and foolish in the eyes of right thinking members of this forum. Take the issue on hand for example, no body has asked for a national merit award to be conferred on Jonathan for canceling Govt's official delegation to the London Olympics. It's just a matter of acknowledging that govt is beginning to realize that it's no longer business as usual. This cancellation marks a clear departure from the past when tax payers money was used to sponsor over bloated govt delegations to sports events. Every objective mind will commend this step and move unto the next one. It is testamentary of the transformation agenda that govt is opening up probes into every sector, setting up independent committees to carry out sensitive assignments, merging agencies and cutting the cost of governance. This is one of those measures. We should applaud it and move ahead
PoliticsRe: GEJ Sets Up Committee To Verify 2011 Subsidy Claims by dedeike:
@ pataki, thanks for posting the link to the number of committees set up by this administration in one year. I agree with you that most of those committees are unnecessary. I don't see any reason why the govt should set up a committee for award of scholarships to post graduate students, removing unqualified persons from school, and modalities for university lecturers from having a minim qualification of PHD. I also maintain that both the rationalization committee and the blocking of leakages committee could be fused into one. However, to say that the other committees have not yielded any dividends will be a wrong reading of facts. The truth is that the present govt is interested in transformation. It is this transformation agenda that is driving these reforms. And if you want to achieve genuine reforms, you can't engage the same hands that are currently making things not to work. You must engage people from the private sector, technocrats in various fields, retired public servants who will bring their wealth of experience to bear and independent minded statesmen. That is where the committees come in. Jonathan is a human being so he can't be everywhere at the same time. He can't also entrust such sensitive assignments in the hands of present public officials, who have interest to protect. And somehow, it's working. The committee on ports did a fantastic job by sanitizing the ports. They hve reduced the number of agencies operating in the ports from 17 to 6 . Thereby easing operations at the ports. They hve also ensured that the ports begin 24 hours operations and liaised with the Lagos state Govt to get rid of the trucks that congest the roads leading to the ports. The Oronsanye led committee did a wonderful job to streamline and rationalize agencies in Nigeria. The recommendation that we should have only 35 agencies and parastatals in Nigeria is indeed a welcome development given our history of wastages and leakages due to the duplicity of MDA's. There cannot be automatic implementation of this report as most people think on this forum. The MDA's are a product of the enactment of the National Assembly. They all have laws establishing them so the National Assembly will need to repeal such establishment laws accordingly. The pension fund task force was what blew the lid on the corruption in the police pensions. With it came the massive discovery of over 125 billion scandal. And those indicted are already in court. The committee on oil transperancy led by RIBADU is yielding results and reducing wastages. The committee on airport upgrading is working in liaison with the minister of Aviation to overhaul our airports. It's evident for all to see. In Abuja, the entire domestic wing has been closed for massive reconstruction. Same for Enugu airports. Similar works are ongoing in Benin, Kano. Etc let's learn to criticize constructively with facts.
PoliticsRe: GEJ Sets Up Committee To Verify 2011 Subsidy Claims by dedeike: 12:23pm On Jul 06, 2012
We have developed a penchant in this country not to see anything good in govt's actions. Personally, i was surprised that govt wants to set up another committee to re probe what another committtee had probed. But when I read thru the topic, I could not help but agree with the FG that a review committtee was necessary. The essence of probes is to unveil truth not witchunting. Where several people have expressed reservations over the outcome of a probe. The most reasonable thing to do is to offer them another opportunity for a review. It accords with the basic principles of natural justice. That is why litigations in courts do not stop at the trial court. There is always room for appeal. Even in quasi judicial processes like a school disciplinary committees or even football FA's. Decisions are subject to review upon appeal. What has happened in this case is that Govt had set up a committtee headed by AIG IMOUKHEDE of ACCESS BANK to investigate the sector. Upon the submission of the report, President GEJ reiterated his resolve to prosecute all those indicted. This led to an array of protests from those indicted and others who hitherto did not take the comittee seriously. What should a responsible govt do? Shut its doors against such complaints? Or proceed to implementation without reviewing a report allegedly signed by one man? It takes a Hitler president not to give due considerations to the arising appeals. More especially, when the FG wants to take drastic actions against those indicted. Contrary to insinuations portrayed on this forum, I think it's a measure of the President's seriousness to enforce the report that he set out for a review. If he doesn't want to enforce the report, he would have simply given a fine speech commending the committee members for a job well done and consign the report to the dustbin of failed reports. We won't get to be discussing about it by now and it will gradually fade from our consciousness. But this is not so. Judging from the composition of the committee alone, you will acknowledge that the president is serious. The calibre of people there are not people who will sneak to a marketers house at night to do cap banking. I wonder how much you will cough out to bribe the chairman-AIG IMOUKEHEDE OF ACCESS Bank who swims in billions. The membership is all inclusive as every field is represented. It's a far cry from the House probe involving only politicians. They have a mandate to submit the report in less than 2 weeks. So why this noise?

I wonder how many people that would have fallen to this deceit. However, I'm hopeful that the first senator that will be recalled in Nigeria due to her glaring incompetence will be your paymasters's wife- Senator Oluremi Tinubu. PoliticsRe: Why Senate Should Impeach GEJ – Melaye by dedeike:
Inspite of all the efforts of most Hired agents on this forum to confuse issues, I will always try to remain on the path of facts and truth hence my resolve to treat all the issues raised by Dino one by one.I will do this with all civility , decency and proof while expecting that the hired agents will once again resort to the laughable 40 laptop theory.

One, Dino lied when he said other Ministers were better. We all hve a dossier of these Ministers. ETETE acquired so much wealth to the extent that he was rumored to be breeding lions in his PH residence. ETIEBET became so much rich from corruption that he floated and funded a political party in pursuance of his failed presidential bid.

Two, Dino lied when he said the ministry was decentralized under Obj. We all know and heavily criticized Obj for appropriating the office of MINISTER OF PETROLUEM. OBJ WAS MINISTER OF PETROLUEM. when calls against this anomaly reached a deafening crescendo, OBJ had to create additional portfolios for Gas, oil, energy etc. These were cosmetic Ministries with no much schedule, office or even perm secs or directors.

Three, Dino also lied when he accused DIEZANI of the brazen corruption in NNPC. In all the revelations emerging from all the investigations in the oil sector, none has directly linked DIEZANI to the scandals. That is not to say that she's a saint but at least as intellectuals we must learn to speak with facts. What DINO deliberately hid from the public is that DIEZANI is the one spearheading all these revelations because of her reforms. DIEZANI appears very unpopular today because she is the one who has mustered the courage to confront the cabal that has held our oil industry prostrate. Look at her policies. 1. Withdrawal of oil subsidy upon which the cabal has corruptly enriched themselves. 2. Impose higher barriers in the template for participation of oil companies in the export crude market. 3. Formulation of the new PIB which is set to revolutionaries the industry. 4. Instigated serious probes in the oil sector like the AIG IMOUKEHEDE committee and the KPMG AUDIT thus bringing to fore the can of worms in NNPC and the subsequent major shake up. 5. Pursuing full deregulation of the downstream sector for more efficiency and transperancy. 6. Insisting on local content in the crude market.

Four, Dino lied again when he sought to heap JP MORGAN on DIEZANI's Head. We all know that JP MORGAN is an illegal account by NNPC and CBN. ordinarily, our searchlight should be concentrated at SANUSI LED CBN. But these EL RUFAI agents on Nairaland would rather prefer to confuse issues and divert our attention from their paymasters's kinsman.

In conclusion, I know that none of these El rufai and KOBOJUNKIE agents would risk joining issues with me on the facts I have raised above rather they will come up with the usual
40 man laptop propaganda. I have one advice for them. GROW UP

So when you reduce my facts on issue to that of a paid agent, I can't help but laugh. By implication, you mean I was hired by previous administrations and Gej came and retained me. What cock and bull story! The problem with most of you Guys is that you have been so much accustomed to blackmail and falsehood on this forum. So you do not want to entertain anyone who appears to burst your bubble with factual superior argument. It's a pity.
PoliticsRe: Fire Petroleum Minister Diezani Allison-Maduekwe Now-anti-corruption Network by dedeike: 7:25pm On Jul 05, 2012
A poorly orchestrated attempt at blackmail and witch hunting. First, Dino betrayed his sinister motives when he said other Ministers of Petroluem performed. Which Ministers performed? Is it ETETEH who corruptly enriched himself with several oil scams? Abi Etiebet who became so rich that he formed a politically party-NCPN to contest for presidency against Abacha? Secondly, he lied when he said Obasanjo had 4 Petroluem Ministers. Obasanjo himself was the Petroluem minister then. To justify this illegality, he created sub portfolio's for gas, oil, energy etc. These ministers were more or less floaters with no much schedule, no ministries, no perm secs etc. Thirdly, it is not true that Diezani is behind all the looting and corruption in the sector. However, what Melaye has failed to tell the public is that the Minister has taken the bull by the horn to expose and eliminate endemic corruption in the Petroluem sector. To this end, the woman has initiated several reforms viz The KPMG AUDIT of NNPC, the removal of subsidy, The imposition of higher barriers for participation in the crude export market, the formulation of the revolutionary PIB bill. The composition of RIBADU TASKFORCE on govts oil revenue. Anybody desirous of stealing oil revenue will look elsewhere for appointment of a more pliable person to head such TASKFORCE, NOT RIBADU. That is clear evidence of Diezani's sincerity. Fourthly, there's nothing so far linking DIEZANI with JP Morgan account. The NNPC officials are the ones who have a case to answer and have subsequently been summoned by NNPC to provide such answers. Even DIEZANI acknowledges that NNPC is a corruption cow hence her advice to the President for a major shake up and full deregulation.

All you just re echoed was the same old and worn out line by clueless GEJ haters that some people are paid agents. I took time to chronicle what the president has done so far to entrench transperancy in the sector. I told your block head that the PIB is ready for presentation to the senate. I expected you to join issues with me on that. You have been seeing the massive sack of senior officers in the Petroluem sector yet you think GEJ likes corruption in the oil sector. You hve heard about the AIG IMOUKHEDE committee set up by FG and yet you feel GEJ encourages corruption in the oil sector. We hve seen the president appoint fearless Ribadu to oversee Oil Revenue yet you feel GEJ is not sincere. Ironically, the FG noticed the corruption endemic in the management of oil subsidy and resolved to end it by removing subsidy yet you guys feel he wants to protect the cabal. Which cabal? The same cabal that feeds fat from subsidy? You can see the hypocrisy of the opposition.
PoliticsRe: Why Senate Should Impeach GEJ – Melaye by dedeike: 6:24pm On Jul 05, 2012
Why should GEJ be impeached? This is a man who has never left anyone in doubt of his determination to clean up the corruption in the Petroluem sector. When he came in, he did not resort to the usual govt magic of internal audit by civil servants, he rather directed Aganga to invite KPMG to probe NNPC. The report was damning and GEJ swung into action by sacking the Head of PPRA, under which the subsidy regime was operated, and replaced him with Stanley Reginald. While investigations continued, GEJ drafted his opponent Mallam Nuhu Ribadu to oversee oil revenue in Nigeria. He also set up the Udoma committee to formulate a comprehensive PIB that will entrench transperancy and accountability in the system. While this was ongoing, he set up another investigative committee headed by AIG Imoukehde on subsidy. They revealed that billions were frittered away and even covered some scope that FACROOK failed to highlight. To this end, a massive shakeup of the NNPC Management was effected last week by the president. The senate has also started a probe into the sector. Early this week, the presidency spokesperson informed us that those indicted in these probes will be prosecuted.

How can you call for the prosecution of Lawan and turn round to say that the substance of the tainted report shud be upheld. Is that not crasy? From the conversation drama and all that has transpired between Farouk and Otedola, is there any sense of propriety left in calling for the implementation of a report emanating therefrom? Shouldn't we rather wait for a more decent probe by the senate which is ongoing? Or the AIG Imoukhede report wnich discovered so many illegalities in the subsidy regime which Farouk& co hid. Who is Dino melaye to lead an anti graft campaign? maybe he thinks we're fools or suffering from amnesia in this country. This is a man who shamelessly fought openly and defended Patricia Etteh for her 625 m graft. When I confronted him with this allegation on twitter, he shamefully responded that Etteh did not steal. I now asked him, what did Etteh do then? Attempted stealing? So in Dino's mind, there's nothing wrong with Etteh's scam and you want me take this man serious.
BusinessRe: US Investors To Build 6 Refineries In Nigeria by dedeike: 2:29pm On Jul 03, 2012
I salute the FG's resolve to attract foreign investors to petroleum refining. When I saw it on twitter this morning, my heart was full of joy. The MOU signed by Aganga is strategic given the volume of money to be invested. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step so those who wish for a refinery to evolve overnight lack a basic understanding of the processes involved. It must however be admitted that there are serious challenges to the take off of this project. I have serious doubts that any investor will like to invest in refineries under the present subsidy regime. This is so because it's easier, cheaper and more profitable to import than to engage in the Herculean adventure of building refineries. Secondly, no investor would want to invest in a sector where prices are fixed by govt. in other words, prices should be cost reflective and dictated by the forces of supply and demand. This brings me back to the subsidy issue. It's difficult to attract Foriegn Direct investments into our petroleum refining, if subsidy is not removed and our downstream sector fully deregulated. I know this view may be very unpopular but that is the bitter and honest truth. It's economics not sentiments. The subsidy regime makes it very lucrative to import and sell and recoup investments immediately without stress. It takes a father Christmas investor to shun the attractive offer that importation holds. So I want to believe that the FG thru Aganga has really done an extraordinary engagement by this deal. We must commend them seriously and pray it works.

The truth is that the circurmstances surrounding GEJ's emergence as President should convince us all that GOD has a hand in this administration. It is clear even the blind can see it. I have maximum respect for men of God but I think Bakare is fast loosing it. He is just acting like a sore looser. Chris Okotie did not act this way when he lost elections to Obj. If you must criticize, do so constructively. Which one is up up Jesus, down down Jonathan? What I expect a Man of GOD to do in this our trying times is to pray for our country and offer opinions on how we can tackle our security challenges. It would make more sense, if we hear that Bakare prayed for God to give GEJ wisdom to lead and Nigeria. Then during his sermon, he can volunteer workable solutions to our problems. That way Nigerians will take him seriously and he will gain more support. But this resort to cheap blackmail and mudslinging is unbecoming of a statesman talkless of a man of God.

FORBES I know. PROF. AYITTEH. I KNOW. WHICH ONE IS FFP?
This desperation to demonise GEJ has its own merits, it's bringing about a band of Nigerian scholars who can sit down in the confines of their rooms to fabricate research reports. There has been so many of such reports this period but the beauty of it all is that they never survive the rigours of intellectual discourse.
This one is already dead on arrival. It had a bad start with its kangaroo name: fund for peace.(FFP). Who is funding the peace? Perhaps, KOBOJUNKIE OR BETATHINGS.

one, it must be stated that Nigeria is not in war and cannot be mentioned in the same breadth as war torn countries. What we have on our hands are acts of terrorism which both US and UK have suffered severally. Till tomorrow, bombs will be xploding in Isreal and some parts of middle East but it doesn't make those countries failed states.

Two, We have a central government and regional govts that could claim to be in charge of our sovereignty. Their control is not under threat by any rebel.

Three, the business of governance has never come to a halt one day. Every sector is running and operational. We have not gone bankruptcy. Our foreign reserves have rather rose to over 35 billion US dollars.

Four, no part of this country has been taken over by insurgents.

Five, we have not had cause to beg the UN for Assistance to stabilize the country.
Six, there's free movement from one part of the country to another.

Seven, our president still meets up with all his international agreements and still plays a vital old role in ECOWAS.

Eight, there's no breakdown in infrastructure whatsoever. More roads are being built, airports reconstructed, seaports sanitized and reformed. Rail lines underway. Telecoms booming and Internet access widened. Nine, there's no human flight from Nigeria rather investors like General Elctric, Siemens, Electrobus are all coming to invest in our power sector. 10. The security apparatchik is still intact and loyal to the C-in-C

I always wonder who told dem dat General Buhari is d one who instigate d northern pple after the election. Agreed he made some statemen during campaigns,av u guys forgotten wat Obasanjo said to Mimiko while campaigning for Agagu in Ondo state on national TV,nothing happen after he made such statement cos he's d commander in chief,if Mimiko's supporters av resorted to violence after dat comment, mimiko would av been held responsible for instigating violence against baba. The northern pple only had sympathy for buhari, cos dey believe in him and felt cheated wen they heard the result of the election.pls always exercise restraint b4 making comment about wat u know little on nothing about. U can follow Mallam El-Rufai on twitter as he rightly said to know the kind of man he is b4 condemning him.
The statement was made by El Rufai. It's there on his Facebook wall. Don't hold brief for him. That man is a pocket hitler. His grouse with this govt is that they failed to integrate him but rather chose to prosecute him for the corruption and nepotism he spearheaded as FCT MINISTER.

I battled so hard to decode the rubbish you tried to say.And all I could pick was that Hitler forced people out of Germany. Pls next time don't make me go thru dis stress. I sense you have a problem with the truth we have been telling your mentor-El Rufai. Pls don't mind us, we re committed to telling the truth irrespective of whose ox is gored. What moral justification has EL RUFAI to say rubbish about this govt? Does he think Nigerians suffer from amnesia. This is a man who was a key cabinet member in a govt that has the highest dossier of human rights abuses in our democratic history. As Minister of FCT, El Rufai disobeyed court orders and had faint regard for National Assembly resolutions and reports which he now asks GEJ to implement to the latter. I recall in 2005, when the senate had urged El Rufai to put on hold his demolition exercise in Kubwa pending the resolution of the petitions brought by the residents. El Rufai sent his bulldozers in contempt of the senate. Also there were court injunctions restraining him from demolishing Chika/leta, But El Rufai boldly said on TV that HE DOESN'T GIVE A DAMN and that by tomorrow Chika/ leta will be removed. And truly, Emperor El Rufai sent the bulldozers the next day.

cheddarking: Is this really the hallmark of solid governance? Building roads? undecided
A nation so repressed that basic human rights are perceived as luxuries...
Not only on roads. For the human rights that you mentioned. This govt enacted the FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT which guarantees your right to information Unfetterd. If it were during OBJ's days, EL rufai would have received the GBENGA ARULEGBA TREATMENT LONG AGO.

You will recall that Gbena Arulegba of AIT FOCUS NIGERIA was arrested and detained by OBJ's govt for spreading falsehood against govt. EL RUFAI was a key member of that govt. Under GEJ, Everybody is free to criticize him as he wants. ITS BIG BUSINESS. And the President doesnt give a damn. He is not one to come after you, the way EL RUFAI has come after his critics on Nairaland.

This is the only president who does not interfere with the National Assembly.

At a time they were electing the House leadership, the president rather travelled abroad and welcomed the decision of the House to elect a leader of his choice. No media house has been closed down just like the way CHANNELS TV was shut down during YAR ADUA's days. you re free to say anything on air.

During the occupy protests, GEJ never sacked a single worker just the way Lagos state govt sacked resident doctors. GEJ remains the first president that held negotiation meetings directly with labour in Aso Rock. His predecessors always delegated govt representatives to discuss with labour. How else do you guarantee human rights? Does GEJ prevent you from contacting a lawyer when your personal rights as an individual are infringed? Or have you heard that GEJ manipulates judgements the way some of his old processors did?

freshmoney: Typical example of one of our dear derailed Nigerians! You are so myopic to see GEJ is the most ineffectual leader Nigerians have ever assumed!
you re the one who is ineffectual. GEJ has in just one year demonstrated good governance in every facet of our national life. It's just a matter of time for so many of these to be evident to the Common man. But areas like road infrastructure are already evident. See BENIN-ORE highway which has been abandoned by successive govts, GEJ is doing the road and it has reached 80% completion. He awarded APAPA-OSHODI to Julius Berger with drainage and expansion works, Even this shameless El rufai will concede that Kaduna Eastern and Kano Byepass are being constructed by this govt. The road that EL Rufai takes from Kano to go and visit his BH brothers have been dualised by GEJ. The same for IBADAN-ILORIN. ZARIA-FUNTUA-GUSAU has also undergone construction by GEJ.
PoliticsRe: El - Rufai On Reno Omokri, GEJ, PDP And Nairaland by dedeike: 9:03pm On Jun 30, 2012
I heard the jobless EL RUFAI paid a visit to Nairaland in my absence. Gosh! I missed. As usual, he came to say rubbish which has become his stock in trade since GEJ's govt failed to yield to his demands for the stalling of his prosecution for several scandals and corruption while he was FCT minister. His grouse with Nairaland is that the forum is liberal enough to accommodate divergent views. So in his dictatorial mind, Nairaland is PDP because we say the truth that he doesn't want to hear on his twitter handle. Pocket dictator!

shymex: Who cares about what forbes thinks?

Forbes celebrates plutocrats and greedy business men/women... undecided
Come on, keep quiet. Forbes ratings remains the best and its the universally acclaimed destination for such statistics.Just because they have brought out a report that exposes the lies and falsehood that the fake Ghanian Proffessor has been peddling , that is why you want to discredit FORBES.

Which rating should we reckon with? SAHARA abi NAIRALAND? I took time to pick holes in the Ghanian Proffessor's tirades earlier in the week.

First, he proceeded on the faulty and unfounded assumption that GEJ did not declare his assets. On twitter, I told him clearly that his paymasters did not properly brief him hence the high level ignorance that the Prof has been exhibiting on social media. I pity his students. A real prof would have taken prudent steps to verify the position of Nigerian laws on the issue of public declaration of Assets.

Secondly, he goofed when he said our Agricultural revolution is only tied to distribution of palm seedlings. Every toddler in Nigeria knows the Agric minister is pursuing a reforms of fertilizer distribution in Nigeria and has succeeded in eliminating the middlemen cartel that made access to fertilizer very difficult. Beyond this, he has launched the cassava bread revolution campaign aimed at reducing our reliance on imported wheat. An Agricultural loan scheme has been floated alongside the CBN for local farmers. He is building silos across the federation and has imposed high import tariffs on importation of rice and wheats inorder to encourage local farmers. As part of the national campaign, the president on his democracy day speech directed that only locally produced food should be served in Aso rock and govt public functions.

Thirdly, the fake Prof blabbed about GEJ's inability to use Maidugri Airport. If only this Prof was told by his paymaster how much renovation and rehabilitation that this govt has carried out in all the major airports in our country in just one year. Both the ABUJA, LAGOS, ENUGU, KANO AND BENIN airports are under massive reconstruction. On the flip side, the state of the runways of Accra airport is nothing to write home about. When it rains, the runway gets flooded thus leading to the crash of our cargo airplane recently. The prof should hve directed his tirades to his aviation minister, who came on air and made a useless defence of the flooded runways of ACCRA AIRPORT in this mordern age.

Finally, the fake prof said our president is of unsound mind. That was the height of rascality by a prof who should know the language of diplomacy. I beg to ask those who have been supporting this retard prof, where did this man derive his allegations from? Which doctor or Health expert pronounced our President insane? What proof can he offer in support of his allegations that our president has a history of unsound mind? For all KOBJUNKIES of this world, I have one word for you.THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENCY is an institution,

We should not sacrifice the integrity and dignity of that institution on the altar of hatred and beef for the present occupant. We don't know who will be president tomorrow. It may be you. It may be me. GOD BLESS NIGERIA.
