In one year, Jonathan has shown more clue than all your paymasters combined. we would have gone far if your paymasters were wise enough to embark on the present reforms that GEJ IS spearheading in both the energy, power, ports, transport, public service and financial sector.
In just one year, GEJ has been able to produce the much awaited PIB bill for the revolution of the petroleum sector. He is constructing the much abandoned Benini-Ore-Sagamu highway which appeared to be a taboo for previous administration. He has reformed the secondary school curriculum, established 9 universities, and launched the almajiri school project which your paymasters lacked the sense and initiative to do.
He has reformed the ports. Changed concessionaires for the airports, refurbishing the four major international airports and is constructing light gauge railways across major cities in Nigeria.
He is reforming the power sector, refurbishing the abandoned NIPP power plants and set to privatise PHCN next week. He has reviewed our tariffs in such a way as to to reflect cost of production and thereby attracting private sector investments into the sector. SIEMENS, GENERAL ELECTRIC have all come to participate in the post privatisation era. SPDC has already commenced moves to build a gas plant in IMO for the power stations due to the new tariff regime.
If your paymasters were half as brilliant, we would have gone too far by now.

Our problem is that we keep failing to place culpability where culpability lies in this new peculiar security challenge. Imagine a situation where a 15 year old kid carried out the suicide bombing in the central mosque yesterday at Borno. What could they have told that boy that would warrant him to take his life at that age? Imagine the indoctrination that the young boy would have been subjected by these mischief makers. it is the duty of the Islamic clerics and monarchs to tell their subjects that Islam is a religion of peace and does not support the spilling of innocent blood. Have we ever wondered why we don't hear about this rubbish in more advanced and populous states like UAE and Indonesia. Dubai is a choice destination for tourism and trade. Yet it is a muslim state. A careful study of opinions on this thread show clearly that if an election is done today, your paymasters may be in for another shocking defeat.

He has a good sense of history and knows that if it were years back, he would have been preparing a legal team in search of a stolen mandate by now.

If it were years back, the military would have been contending with widespread protests and riots in the streets of Benin city.
If it were years back, civil society groups would have been put to the task of outdoing one another in calls for cancellation and condemnation of the elections due to widespread electoral mal practice.
Now we dont need all that noise after elections. Everywhere is peaceful. No violence. The victor is jubilant while the vanquished is bemoaning thier loss.

The recommendations of Uwais panel that would have entrenched a systemic change was jettisoned. INEC is running on the integrity of JEGA and nothing else. The only thing that has changed in INEC is personnel and the insistence of JEGA to cancel election wherever a ballot box is snatched. He encourage voters to stay behind and have results announced before leaving and if a box is snatched, results canceled.

I advice you to go back and revisit his statement then you will appreciate that such statements could successfully support a case for cancellation due to lack of substatiantial compliance to the Electoral Act. The transformation agenda is on course. Reforms are ongoing in every sector. The finance ministry is carrying out bio metric evaluation of federal civil servants  to reduce waste. There is the new integrated online payment system which helps the minister monitor transfer of public funds. Our foreign reserves have risen again to 37 billion dollars. There's the proposed Soveriegn Wealth Fund to cater for excess oil sale proceeds.
In Energy, a lot of reforms. The president is keen on transparency and thus has set up probes into the sector viz KPMG AUDIT and AIG IMOUKHEDE. The president sought to close the window of corruption by removing subsidy but the cabal misled Labour into a protest. That notwithstanding, the reforms are still ongoing and the full deregulation of the downstream sector being vigorously pursued. Last week, the FG had concluded the PIB which remains a landmark legislation that will revolutionarize the petroleum  industry. Refineries are undergoing repairs and an American company, VULCAN is to build six more new refineries.

In roads, Zaria-Funtua-Gusau roads, Oshodi-Apapa with expansion and drainage works,  dedicated bridge frm liverpool roundabout to Tin can ports, trailer park, Dualisation  of Ibadan -Ilorin, ENUGU-Onitsha, completion of OWERRI -Onitsha,    9th mile, ongoing reconstruction of Benin-Ore-Sagamu highway measuring over 265 km, Kano-Maidugri Dualisation. Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass  to mention but a few.

In Transport, massive reforms at the ports. Sanitisation and reduction of operating agencies to 7. Introduction of 24 hrs ports operation. Ongoing Construction of light gauge train railways across t4 cardinal point of the federation

In Education, establishment of 9 new federal universities in less than 1 year. Constructed 2 new campuses of the Nigerian law schools in Yenagoa and Yola respectively. Launched the Almajiri schools for education of itenerant Islamic pupils in the north wFhich Buhari and other northern leaders abandoned. Increased funding to almost 400 billion to education thereby setting an all time highest record. Reinvigorated the inspectorate oversight of schools leading to the revocation of some licenses from universities. Executed the landmark upgrade of university lecturers retirement age from 65 to 70. 

 In agriculture, for the first time in our history, we have a clearly defined agricultural policy which is targeted towards maximum utilisation of cassava for growth thru the launch of the cassava bread campaign. The policy is intended to reduce our reliance on imported wheat so as to encourage local production of cassava and it's conversion to flour for bakery. The FG has in less than one year eliminated the middlemen cartel that fed fat on fertiliser distribution at the expense of local farmers. Now through deregulation reforms, fertiliser is now accessible in the open market. he has also embarked on massive construction of silos and has increased import duties on the importation of rice in order to encourage local farmers. The efforts of the minister has been so appreciable that the world bank assisted with over 50 billion Naira for fertiliser redistribution scheme/ silos. The CBN has also set up a 500 billion loan scheme which is to assist farmers.

In power, the NIPP has been revived with the subsequent refurbishment of Afam, Alaoji, Calabar, GEREGU, Omotosho, papalanto power plants. This has led to the addition last December of 4,000 megawatts from barely 1700 to the national grid. To address the problem of distribution,  the 18 successor companies have been slated for privatization.  The media is already awash with news of the proposed privatization next week. The reforms include the review of tariffs in order to ensure a cost reflective tariff that will encourage private sector participation in the building of gas plants. Already, this has started yielding dividends as SPDC has commenced processes towards building a gas plant in IMO state. 

Like the president said during his last media chat,  people like You who have found a business in criticizing him should continue while he concentrates on his ongoing reforms. By whatever standards you decide to employ, Farouk's report cannot measure up to AIG's in terms of credibility.

First, the composition of AIG's is broad and even involves security agencies like the SSS and experts in all the relevant fields, while the Farouk panel is purely politicians in the House of Reps. And unlike the senate, where the chairman of the relevant Petroluem downstream committee heads the committee, Tambuwal drafted his kinsman -Farouk from Education to head an oil probe. Little wonder the likes of BARKINDO, RILWANNU LUKMAN, MRS, RHAMALIYYA ETC were not summoned before the probe.

Two, while AIG is a doyen of success in real banking, Farouk has a Midas touch in Cap Banking.

Three, no scandal whatsoever concerning bribery and compromise has been associated with the AIG committee. The closest to it was the feeble but failed attempt to link AIG with ownership of ICE ENERGY. We have since come to establish that he doesnt own it. On the flip side, We all know what happened to Farouk's dollar bribes and cap banking operations.

Four, AIG's report lacks the inconsistencies and substitutions that riddled the recommmendation's in Farouk's report. We did not see AIG stand up like Farouk during presentation of the report to unilaterally doctor the recommendations agreed upon by the committee.

Finally, the AIG comittee report is not an object of ridicule like that of FAROUK which is the fastest selling comedy in the market at the moment. We have seen part 1 and 2. We await the release of part 3. Soon we may need to rush to Alaba to grap a copy of the visuals,

If there's any document which everyone, both the ruling and opposition, agrees should be reviewed, it is the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

That constitution is as flawed as the word flawed. Many efforts have also been taken in the past to review it. But as it has become customary with this administration, this will be another landmark achievement in this regard.

But again, you need to be reminded that GEJ is not the one to ammend the constitution as you erroneously portrayed in your post.

Whether PRIVATISD or ABOUT TO BE PRIVATISED or JUST PRIVATISED, the issue is that NEPA or PHCN or KOBOJUNKIE ELECTRIC POWER AUTHORITY is set to leave the hands of govt to the private sector. That is what should interest you or activate your constructive critiscm.

But for the sake of clarity, the reference to unbundling PHCN into 18 successor companies means the intial decentralization of the activities of NEPA into smaller companies for efficient management of the three segments of the sector. That has been concluded quite a long time ago.

What will be happening next week will be the eventual privatization of these companies. For instance, the Eko and Ikeja companies will be handed over to the successful bidders and PHCN will be stripped of any control whatsoever.

This marks a watershed in efforts at resolving the power crisis in NIGERIA. It will be the hallmark of the power sector reforms which began in 2005 with the passage of the power reforms act.

They sought to close the window of corruption in NNPC by removing subsidy but the very cabal fought back thru mass protests. They involved KPMG to audit NNPC for the first time and the report has led to mass sack of NNPC LEADERSHIP.

They passed the dreaded FOI ACT for increased access to hitherto privileged govt information.

They have started the bio metric verification of staff of all federal establishments. Already, this has started yielding fruits as the police pension fraud was discovered and culprits charged to court.

I am beginning to think that the best thing that happened to NIGERIA at this time is JONATHAN.

Except you re blind, you would also notice that the domestic wing of Nnamdi Azikiwe airports is under going massive reconstruction. You would notice also the expansions of the car parks, roads leading to the airport, upgrade of the run ways and renovation of all existing airport facilities in the international wing. In Education, the FG completed 2,089 classroom blocks across the federation under the migrant school projects.
They successfully set up the yenagoa and yola campuses of the Nigeria law school projects.
They have established 9 new universities across the federation. This is in fulfillment of GEJ's campaign promises that each state in Nigeria must have a federal university.
They are also building various projects ranging from libraries, health centers, post graduate buildings, roads, and hostels in federal universities thru the ETF scheme

In power, refurbishment of ALAOJI , AFAM, PAPALNTO, CALABAR GEREGU POWER PLANTS.

Construction work has also been completed in MAMBILLA and Zungeru power stations and is awaiting commissioning.

Utorogu gas plant has been completely overhauled.

Keffi -Akwanga-Lafia, award of Afikpo-Okigwe, Auchi-Okene being handled by Setraco. Loko-Eweta-Karishi bridge, Kolo-Nembe -Brass, Minna-Suleija, Kaduna Eastern Byepass, Acess roads to ELEME PORTS and Mossimi, LAFIA-Obi-Awe,
