PDP News. |
The spirit of June 12 has suddenly come up again....and someone is about to sink himself in the deep...! |
No one becomes great by occupying himself or herself in tearing down other people! True talk! Dont be a follower of a man or woman who does not know where he o she is headed! |
nwanyionitsha:In that sphere it really does not matter much. We are in March and they are expected to formally notify him anyway. Left for the politicians they would have found a way to exit him long ago. Still a number of people appointed by President Jonathan are still serving under PMB and I think it is fair to acknowledge that. |
His tenure is virtually over anyway and a successor should be around the corner. It is hard in modern times for a CBN Governor to have 2 tenures of 5 years each. Emefiele was appointed by President Jonathan, and despite pressures from politicians, PMB left him to do his tenure. Some past presidents would have looked for a way to play dirty politics and to exit him before his term expires. |
PDP has finally become an agbero party......Talk, talk, talk.......little sense! |
So, should Emefiele serve another 5 years in CBN? Has any CBN Governor of modern times been given 10 years in that office? Who has said that he was sacked? The man himself knew his term was expiring and would rarely in these times have another 5 years! Some comments sha! |
haywire07:The most candid representation of what transpired. PDP lost the election the day (and the way) they conducted their primaries. They told Nigerians they had repented but their primaries showed that was far from the truth. Their attention was so much on the man's money that they forgot he could not in any way win northern votes, just as OBJ cannot win SW votes, even if you repeat the election 10 times. |
Alexis11:It is really a sad development. This is one state that has been very welcoming, even to the extent of making non-indigenes commissioners. It should not be. |
Protests against Tinubu is an exercise in futility in Lagos. Some people just cannot learn. Whatever you want to say about Tinubu he still remains a people's man. He is not in any office and has not been seen to be fighting to take one. He is not like the governors who go to hide in the Senate and start to cause problems in their homes. He lends his ears to his followers. He is said to be quite generous to them as well. Saraki could fall prey to 'O to ge' because his people think he is very arrogant. The people protesting are largely from another region of the country. They should be allowed to exercise their rights. A friend from one part of Nigeria once lamented that they wish to have a 'Tinubu' in their region, so that there will at least be a leader that the people can listen to, a leader that pushes the interest of their region vigorously. Stop wasting your time calling SW people zombies. They are not. SW is developing fast. Lagos attracts 5000 people every day. Why are they coming? If SW people are not smart how come they attract most people? How come they develop faster than others? And by the way, the highest bidders don't win here, but the most legible. Tinubu is wise in that respect, he is not seen to push the highest bidders on the people, but he promotes the brightest and the best! I dont have to mention names of people who would not have tasted political office, but their merits got them there. In a way, Tinubu has managed to add meritocracy to democracy. That is a plus for him. |
Calm your nerves. Listen to advise. Move on. |
OreMI22:Yes, but how? This evil practice is done by the politicians, and you what they are made of. INEC cannot get it 100% because INEC people did not land from heaven - They are Nigerians! Police cannot guarantee it. So, how? |
Time to sheath the swords and proclaim 'no victor, no vanquished'. Afterall, it was just an election and not a war. Let us move on o, jare. |
Atiku - these uncouth men will do you more harm. They cost you votes and they will do it again! |
NNPC shares..... |
OBJ with all his strides could never muster SW votes. Atiku, with all his wealth could never win Northern votes. What is the pattern here? They were the original PDP that the military handed power to. Something in their ways and body languages may still be haunting them both. PDP punished themselves by their choices. They picked the richest instead of the most sellable. Campaigns achieve very little in changing people's minds. In fact, were there really any campaigns? We saw the candidates wave to the 'crowds' but they never said anything new. If they said it, most people did not trust what they said. That you would sell NNPC (no matter how good the idea is) will not sell in some quarters. The man finally bungled it when he boldly said he will sell it to friends. |
The legal boys must chop their own! Who will pay them now? APC chose FESTus to lead their campaign and PDP chose SECONDus. The result is what we are seeing now. But I like the fact that they are compiling evidence and seeking legal redress. Not like the strange fellow who was calling them to form government. |
BigBashiru:To where? Even in Ghana, Nigerians are facing tough times. And please nobody should try Libya! People are talking Canada. They should go and try. US, Canada, Britain etc will only take the best of the best. No harm in trying though. |

What OBJ is in SW is what Atiku is in the North. No matter the credits OBJ has, SW people will never vote him massively. Atiku too, do the election 10 times, the North will not massively vote for him. I cant explain it, but that is reality. They are not very accepted among their own. |
The card readers were made in China! That's why. |
LesbianBoy:This is not nice. I am Yoruba and Yorubas dont think this way. Atiku won Ondo and Oyo, by the way irrespective of where he picked his vice from. Atiku lost because Atiku was not voted for by the north. It is not today. It is like OBJ's votes in the south.....he hardly ever secured any large votes there. |

Expect some of the 'friends' who have been waiting and planning to buy NNPC to start crying foul! The NNPC story probably made the VGC boys to come out to vote. Andt they started toasting to wine and freely eat chicken and chips, perhaps in anticipation of NNPC buying. |
ruby360:You should produce some facts on what he has done wrong. Facts, not assumptions. OBJ said that the tradermoni was idiotic and some people bought that. For long, finance organisations have been talking about building the economy from the base. What is the wrong in lending to people that will never be accepted by the commercial banks? All the funds loaned out to those traders is not up to one-tenth of what some civil servants pocket for themselves and their girlfriends. Anyway, I hold briefs for no one. But why bring a church into this argument? A church will not and should not act on what is written in social media. They need facts. Whoever has the facts should write to them. |
Lesson 13 Some people kept complaining that the economy has never been so bad. They do not read. Fitch rated Nigeria's economy as the best performing economy in Africa in 2018. The speculation economy is dying while the real economy is growing from the base. We forget that Nigeria is now producing what we hitherto imported in large quantities. Tiles, Rice, even cars by Innoson and patronized by the Military! The urban boys dont like that. They prefer carrying briefcases around looking for oil contracts to inflate and re-sell! Lesson 14 Election in many places is not always about who you vote for but who you vote against! That is how come Trump will be president again if they vote in America today. Atiku could not win the northern vote even if he contests against an acceptable southerner. People have cultures and values, whether you accept it or not. Northerners will accept someone they perceive as honest but slow long before they consider someone they consider not to be trust-worthy. That perception about Atiku may be wrong, but the problem is that it is still a perception. This is why they voted against PDP massively. PDP lost the day they concluded their primaries! Period. Sadly, many people in the South still think that northerners are a bunch of uneducated people. Live among them and learn. Some of the most honest people in Nigeria live in that region. Give them 5000 naira to keep and come back in 5 years, and find that you still have exactly the same notes you left. Well, this is not to generalise, but it largely applies. Lesson 15 People you consider as assets may end up being your liabilities. The media men of Jonathan (dont let me mention names again) did him damage by always barking at people, and by shutting down the other opinion. They thought that if you barked the most for your boss you will end with better mileage. Wrong. Who were the chief spokesmen for Atiku? They were the same people who spewed out abuses, lies and falsehood. They were most uncouth in their tweets. They doctored videos, manufactured false prophecies, barked the loudest, and showed little respect for decorum. Their bosses thought they were assets but they would have learnt now that the people they counted as friends were enemies when it comes to elections! Lesson 16 In winning the battle, dont lose the war! The Kwara chief won many battles, but may not have realized that he was warring against the people. I wonder why he never apologized for calling his senior a 'mere commissioner'. In Yoruba culture, they still cherish the 'omoluabi'. At least he should have shown loudly that he did not say so. Perhaps the problem started from there. Lesson 17 Dont loose your breath over elections or over politicians. PDP candidate has been in ACN, AD, APC and PDP. Who knows what he will do as he re-strategizes? Especially now that he knows PMB cannot contest again! OBJ's son is chanting hurray now while his father is licking wounds! Expect the unexpected, as they start to move around again in preparation for the next election. By and large, Nigerians need to learn to practice politics without bitterness. |
Emerituz:A lot of social media people in the south were living in delusion. OBJ who spearheaded the atiku drive could not even deliver his polling unit to him. Or did they rig there as well? |
Bad analysis everywhere. Kwakwanso never really went out of his way to campaign for Atiku. Kwankwasiya was aimed at enthroning the PDP person as governor in place of Ganduje. That was what the crowd was all about. I dont know how someone managed to deceive Atiku that they were there for him. PDP is already calling its legal team - What does that mean? The PDP leader has been talking like loose canon. Incoherent. Like pretending to be seriously protesting. |
Can they please announce Kano, Rivers, Katsina and the likes? Leave these mushroom states and let the people know the real winner as early as tonight! |
s |
The PDP man has been speaking a lot. Yesterday he had said they should declare his candidate the winner, even before collation started. He should tell the nation the correct results if what INEC announced was wrong. Some people don chop atiku money sha, so they have to pretend to be seriously protesting! |
Does that signal that they have lost? |
