APC What is the plan? Apart from rowing Rice and feeding school children? What is the PLAN? |
The man does not know that hacking a government server is a crime. The man does not know that you cannot contest and be president if you are not a Nigerian by birth. The man does not know that it is simply unjust to sell Nigerian prime asset to friends. Something must be added to our constitution very urgently....I think the British have something like that.....if you cannot win your primary constituency you will never be allowed to hold elective office.... Charity begins at home. If where you claim as home is not home people will not be surprised if the citizens there do not support with their votes. |
Clearly, PDP goofed big time by fielding Atiku! To be President, the constitution says you must be NIGERIAN BY BIRTH. Atiku himself has goofed on this. There is no way a law court will go against the letters of the constitution. the paper did not say you must be a Nigerian (Atiku qualifies in that case) but it says you must be a Nigerian by birth. End of discussion. End of ambition. |
BuhariLooter:Wow! Largely true and quite thought provoking! |
On which road? On which road? On which road? Please tell me! |
soburtunde:Or even sugar without tea! |
Real good news. Another maximum ruler removed. People should stop comparing him with PMB. Here there was election, and from primaries to secondary elections, the people elected thugs, tyrants and moneybags. Dont complain for what you used your own money to buy in the market! Anyway...Africa shall rise again and I pray Nigeria is not left behind! |
Is his candidacy good for Nigeria? |
Politicians? Call it a triumph of some evil against another! |
Nigerians must insist on a christian Senate President.... |
majamajic:National Stadium - they do have a reputation around there! |
FAKE NEWS ARE MOSTLY RELEASED AFTER 10PM BY MISCHIEF MAKERS WHO WANT TO SET THE COUNTRY ON FIRE. IGNORE FAKE NEWS. |
Which fake server is that? The one supplied by PDP? The result that was ready before the election? |
It is not a restaurant... Its a place that Chinese meet up! |
Dear Nigerian Politicians, We all know that from time most of you, if not all, have been engaged in sharp and nocturnal practices anytime there are elections. Perhaps, we have some new generation parties who have decided to break off from these terrible acts, yet we know these new parties, added together, do not even have up to two percent of the total votes. We hardly know the difference between APC and PDP! We know that many of the people in APC were in PDP up till PDP lost power some four years ago. So, it is the same players. You are known to rig wherever you seem to have strength. If we go by the accounts, the recent elections had the traits of the same old rigging habits perpetrated by the same old players. So, we are tired of your ways. We dont want you to rig the courts and corrupt judges. We need true change. The elections have consumed just enough, except that lawyers are routing for their own share. If the elections are held afresh, will you not rig? You have the answers, I am sure. So, what is the point doing it again? About time for you to stop rigging. The only practical way to do that is not to contest again, and now to employ your energies to stop all forms of rigging, since most of you know the tricks, and of course, you are able to block the loopholes. Please leave a legacy to the generations coming by stopping abuse, corruption and rigging. |
The Dele Momodu article was indeed full of journalistic mischief. It was terrible. |
Jayslicky:Gbemi Saraki is the APC member. The person who spoke is Oyinkan! |
While it is true that INEC is meant to be independent, the President still needs to call his men to order and to do that very quickly. Politics in Nigeria is too much of a do or die affair. What is playing out now is 2023 and not even 2019. Some desperados are clearing the ground ready so they can have 'rigging advantage' in 2023. PMB, please call your boys and girls to order. |
Source? How authentic is the source? Beware of fabricated news, otherwise known as fake news! |
Has the lady tried to check what he did for a living? |
wHEN WILL THEY START REMOVING THE STATUTES? |
Some of those news may be fake news generated by politicians to cause tension, and they put graphic pictures to incite emotions!!!! And they know they have a US based Reno to help them to broadcast it! No news channels has carried those riots! Is it that they are also not interested in carrying the news again? |
Yesterday it was the news of carnage in Kaduna, only covered by NL. It was not in www.cable.ng which is usually hot on news. It was also not on Channels TV. Today, it is Benue. Both are showing terrible graphic pictures!!! It is either of two things. The news agencies do not want to carry the news OR it is FAKE and it is posted by wicked politicians who want to create tension in the land and cause further shedding of blood. I will not be surprised if some politicians who have lost elections have now resorted into spreading false news! Whichever, it is bad and wicked. At any rate, more than half of what you read in the social media is either fake or manipulated. So, before you draw conclusions or pass judgements, find out if the source is genuine. Otherwise, you will make the wicked manipulators happy because they would have achieved what they set out to achieve - spread false and wicked news! |
dokyOloye:I checked, there is no news media carrying this news. Its not on Channels and Cable.ng is also not reporting it! I wont jump into conclusion but will wait to see if this bad news will feature elsewhere apart from NL. For all you care, the mischief makers may set out to achieve just what people are doing here. Blame the FG. |
Terrible beyond words. It is even more terrible that people are mixing politics with this. The perpetrators take advantage of the sharp political contrasts in the land to do this evil. These are criminal terrorists. The nation must unite against the evil, so those behind will not hide behind any cover. The ignorant southerners who are rushing into judgement should realise that the chieftains of the two dominant parties are both heavily behind herdsmen, one way or the other. None of the two spoke has spoken against herdsmen at any time, and especially during the campaigns. In fact, most leaders who have come from the north have hardly spoken against herdsmen. Why is this so? But the fact remains that the victims are Nigerians, innocent Nigerians! Who will save us in this country? We must pray! |
The letter to me contains some warning to APC so that they do not miss the message from the election and continue to drive without direction. I think it also contains some untruths and possibly some element of mischief. To a large extent, the vote reflect the mood of the nation. Many people voted PMB not because they so much like the government but because they actually did not want his opponent to smell the seat, perhaps to prevent him from selling NNPC to his 'friends! Dele Momodu and his numerous friends had better swallowed that! If the election is repeated ten times Atiku will at best only get majority votes in the far south. There is no politician today that can defeat PMB in the north! Those accusing INEC have not taken time to study the process. The process today will score at least 75%. The accusers also forget that INEC officials are not angels, they are your average Nigerian civil servants that you encounter in offices around the country. They understand the system and can manipulate it for gain, or in some cases they fear for their lives and simply do the bidding of overly ambitious politicians. INEC is Nigeria and Nigeria is INEC. Give Dele Momodu the job and see if he will import aliens to go to the nooks to stop crooked elements from playing their game. On the eve of the election, PMB did the right thing by encouraging voters to go out without fear, assuring that security forces would aid safety and security. Somehow in some sections, the negative side of us came up and wicked politicians succeeded in causing mayhem, and may have found a way to use the same forces that were meant to protect the people to achieve their wicked goals. I marvel how people quickly jump at blaming one party or blaming INEC for this. I should think that we must demand investigations instead of drawing conclusions. Deal with the culprits and stop blaming institutions. Let us assume that it was APC that caused all the mayhem (which cannot be true), is APC not the same people that left PDP to nest in a party they thought could better serve them? What exactly is the difference between the two? Was Atiku not in APC in 2015? So, why would Dele Momodu, through his write-up attempt to suggest that the VP had a hand in the mayhem. I think this is below the belt. The presidential elections are over now and the other one has happened today. Let us see if the same wicked tendencies by politicians do not erupt again. And would Dele also link that to PMB or PYO? To the writer, the opponents have suddenly become saints, just because they lost! We are shunning the real issue and chasing after symptoms. Politics in Nigeria is seen as business and not as service. The perks are too tempting. What you cannot earn in ten years as CEO of a bank you could pocket in just one year as a Governor or Senator. That is the reason people go to the extreme to get there. Stop the blame game. Face the issues. Let us stop going round in circles as a country. And we must remember that the politicians love it when we shun the real issues! |
He is not the contestant. They voted for another candidate...... |
teekay213:Sometimes it is not the position but the legacy! |
The card reader is the best thing that has happened to our election. Before the card reader voting was a waste of time because politicians would have written bloated figures somewhere. In those days, one candidate would score 26 million votes from 12 million voters. Now things have changed. Since the card reader is able to transmit data, it has become a viable tool to double-check and validate actual number of voters. This is why you see disruption of voting, which is done to avoid opponents having votes, since now the politicians know that votes can count! Again, the card reader is a tool that may fail, like any technology, so since we cant trust human beings (and nobody really wants to trust politicians) we have to rely on machines. INEC going forward should look for how to get better accuracy using the card reader. Like every technology, there has to be updates, so lets have card reader 2.0 and 3.0 and so on.... Let us not allow the leaders to truncate the use of technology, till of course, we have a better technology. There is low voter turnout everywhere. The reason is simple. Nigerians put a high premium on who becomes president and care less about who becomes the LG chairman...The lower you go the less the stakes! It is just the way we are! This is why devolution is important. Most of the northerners in Lagos did not come out today because they simply care less who becomes the Governor here. |
It is indeed quite sad that at this point in our history those who have benefited so much from the system now want to destroy it before they exit. Many of these politicians went to secondary schools sponsored by missionaries where they got the best of education for next to nothing, unlike now that you pay through your nose to even send your ward to primary school. They attended universities in those days of heavily subsidised university education where they paid next to nothing for accommodation and for feeding due to heavy subsidies, and when tuition was free. They even schooled abroad at the expense of the federal government. In their days, you are guaranteed a job once you graduate, and you got a car within a year or two. Their generation did not talk tribe. Yorubas were in Federal Government College, Kaura Namoda and Sokoto and Igbos were in Government College, Odogbolu. They ate and played soccer together and no one spoke about tribe. Now they are rich and old, and they want to scatter the table by inciting one tribe against the other. I wish that our youth can be discerning and shun those who try to divide the nation, just for their own good. Agreed, the other party in Lagos need to be curbed of their excesses, but the people should not just scuttle the progress the state has currently, until there is a better proposition, apart from tribal jingles. |
Actually, no comment! |
Davash222:Thank you very much. A man marries a woman of her choice and someone here is quick to label him 'oyinbo man'! In this age and time, people need to grow up and clear their minds of the old mentality. Caucasians are getting married to people of colour everytime and it is just their choice. Someone here wants to make something so special out of it! |
