Sleekyshuga:Nne, I've read all the altercation your views generated in this thread. My advice for you is that this is a very very sensitive topic and you should try to apply wisdom by keeping mum or ignore things like this going forward. Apply wisdom pls. Remember the internet is not that anonymous. You don't know who is who. Focus your energy more on your goals and on achieving purpose. Cheers. My 2 Naira. |
barcanista:Guy, you are too intelligent for this. Disappointed. Don't let hate veil the eyes of your understanding. See. Stand for truth. Use your intelligence well. |
Thought you missed out on Yankari Games Reserve's spring. Later saw it. Didn't know it's called Wikki Spring though. Loved the colour and the temperature of the water. |

SAMBARRY:Guess you are too brain smart and logical to know when to think with your heart. Everything is not logic baby. One day you will get this. Bye. |
SAMBARRY:Your post reeks of an ugly kind of meanness and callousness! The OP's emotional state may be too fragile for this kind of dart. Check yourself young lady too. |
pazienza:Nwanne, I feel nothing but pride in your ability to reason constructively, understand the issues and make sound judgments on this thread. Jide nke iji! My hat, I doff. |
Gboliwe:So u are female? Where did I get the impression u were very male? |
babyosisi:Cc: Sinizia Reference Babyosisi Soyinka has sacrificed for the Igbo more than any non-Igbo I know. He deserves some respect from us. He attacked the pre-war Gowon government for looking the other way while Igbos died. He called out the Yoruba elite and media for keeping silent while Igbos were being slaughtered in the '66 pogrom. He called them names. He said they were opportunists. Read The Man Died. It was a very contrarian and unpopular thing to do then. He defended the Igbo cause in the days leading to the civil war and made visits to the east. It was an unpopular thing to do then. But Soyinka couldn't care less. He was jailed for years because of this... He almost paid with his life. Many years after, Soyinka has remained consistent in defending the downtrodden and in fighting oppression. He has activism in his DNA. He couldn't have said that. He just couldn't. It's not in his character. He deserves a special place in every Igbo man's heart. He deserves our respect. He deserves our gratitude. |
Daninya11:Abegi, na today? Let him go to a team where he can wield more influence. |
Daninya11:Makele wins balls. Mikel rarely. The only similarity is that they both sit back. They are not in the same class. Mikel should go to a lesser club where he can get enough playing time. My loving advice. |
Mynd44:The Kerosene scam is the most painful of the lot. The poorest amongst us who are the major users of the product are being mindlessly stolen from. I feel like weeping now. This evil is of the same magnitude as Boko Haram. May all those lootocrats and thieves be jailed for life. |
teeowl:And your point is? Are you Igbo? How dare you tell a people how to feel about a hurt? How disrespectful? Nigeria number 1 citizen, Aguiyi Ironsi, is murdered in the revenge coup and it wasn't enough revenge. An entire generation of Igbo officers were then wiped off in the revenge coup and it wasn't still enough revenge? These were not enough revenge for the north/Nigeria? Igbos then deeply felt Nigeria really wanted to wipe them off after the 3- month pogrom in which over 100, 000 Igbo civilians had been killed all over the North and other parts of the country without government protection. A weak Gowon government had even announced he could not guarantee their safety. Who does that? When the mantra was kill the Igbos because they are the problem of Nigeria, how exactly did you want them to react? Do you punish an entire tribe for the sins of a few soldiers? Only in Nigeria! With what happened in Asaba (GENOCIDE), How dare u blame the rest of the Igbo nation for fighting to the last man? Read this quote: "There has been genocide on the occasion of the 1966 massacres, the region between the towns of Benin and Asaba where only widows and orphans remain, federal troops having, for unknown reasons, massacred all the men" (Paris Le Monde, 5th April, 1968). Now, read this: I want to see no Red Cross, no Caritas, no World Council of Churches, no Pope, no missionary and no UN delegation. I want to prevent even one Ibo from having even one piece to eat before their capitulation. We shoot at everything that moves and when our troops march into the centre of Ibo territory, we shoot at everything even at things that do not move, " ( Benjamin Adekunle. Commander, 3rd Marine Commando Division, Nigerian Army to French radio reporter). ", And read the meanest: "Let us go and crush them. We will pillage their property, despoil their womenfolk, kill off their menfolk and leave them uselessly weeping. We will complete the pogrom of 1966" (The theme song of Radio Kaduna, government-controlled, 1967-1970). Now this war to the Igbo was: fight a people that hate you or be slaughtered to the last man. This was the psychology of that war from the Biafran perspective. It was not about Ojukwu. This was why men fought with sticks against bombs. It was about survival. And it's why Ojukwu is a hero. He had many flaws but defending the Igbo nation was not one of them. So why cry more than the bereaved? |
OBJ should bury himself in shame. He single-handedly brought Nigeria to the precipice with his greed, pettiness and lack of vision. Choosing the two most unqualified persons of Yaradua and GEJ in the whole of Nigeria to rule us was the genesis and pivot of all these problems we've been bedevilled with. A very sick Yaradua, who almost died during his campaigns and an incompetent GEJ who's only positive was his unalloyed loyalty to Alams and laid-back attitude. The SS didn't choose GEJ. In the whole of the South-south, he could not find one competent person to represent the region, not Donald Duke, not Tonye Princewill, no technocrat, nobody with proven mettle? The choice he made for the SS is the problem. That choice changed everything. How can any sane person make the choices he made except the person is egomaniacal and self-serving? OBJ abeg go and sit down joor. |
I'm having goose bumps reading this. Wow. Lovelyn Chidinma Nwadeyi, are u still single, nwanyi oma? ****** This story is uniquely South African, yet not uniquely South African. The question should be, "What is wrong with the black man?" Africa is a story of tribal hate, wars and killings too. Even in Nigeria our history is replete with tribalism, ethnocentricism, 'xenophobia', religious riots, ethnic killings, pogroms, even genocide. While we deservedly condemn SA for this evil they are inflicting on their fellow African brothers and sisters, let us also spare a thought for how we sometimes treat and hate each other in this country. #TeamLoveYourNeighbour |
Kwankwaso is making the same mistakes GEJ made - ethnicizing power. If the northern elites continue making this all about the north, then Nigeria's surname is Sorry. |
Some mothers do have them; some children do have them. Okupe is a perennial adult-child. Pity his children. |
handsomenairala:I think with what u've been spewing here that u and ur friend are both bigoted. You've stereotyped the Igbo again and again yet act self-righteous. Now, here is an Igbo view point for u to chew on: Few people in d army (4 Igbos and a Yoruba) plots a coup which fails, killing some prominent men from other tribes while the plan fails in the east. They fail to kill an Igbo. In your bigoted mind it was right for the whole Igbo to be made to pay for a failed army coup? The Igbo Head of State, Nigeria's number 1 citizen was murdered in the counter coup and that wasn't enough revenge. An entire generation of Igbo army officers is wiped out and it was still not enough. Then the final straw, over 100,000 innocent women, children and men are slaughtered in cold blood in the ensuing pogrom with the government of the day looking the other way while telling the world he could not guarantee Igbo safety. And u are saying they were murdered for the right reason? They were the aggressor? What the original coupists did was evil but why visit d sins of coup plotters on their tribe? Do coup plotters announce in village squares about their intended coups and wait for concurrence from the people before they strike? Why haven't Nigeria visited the entire north with a pogrom for Boko Haram and for the many religious riots and killings of years gone by? Why aren't we killing all the northerners because of Boko Haram? Instead of Nigeria to find ways to heal that wound and pacify a wronged ppl, many were justifying it, till this day. Today, we are back to square one - a deeply wounded, traumatized and divided nation. Remove the bigot in your own eyes before castigating your friend for his. Both of you need help. Serious help. |
Eurobomber, I hope this Chimamanda's article explains to u the foolishness of your NL apology. Next time, know your history and the key issues before endangering your people further with such silly write up. You have a good heart but you are naïve. Know yourself, know your history, know your nation. I'm big on peace but not at the altar of self-immolation or endangering the lives of my people or that of others. I shall pray and work towards mutual respect, love and unity in our country. But until we find creative ways of healing old wounds and fractures, and instituting a functional and powerful truth and reconciliation ministry, our journey to nationhood is still endangered. |
Ymodulus:She's spewing lies about how her ppl were murdered? SMH. Think stress, stress, stress! Anything that can constitute stress internally can can lead to menstrual flow irregularity. In this case, fear = stress. Does the big pennis trigger a phobic response in her? Is she visibly afraid of the big penis? Is she visibly afraid of having sex with her husband? Does she have a history of sexual abuse? Has she been raped before? Does she have a past history of trauma, fear or pain? The penis may be a direct cause or an indirect one. It's direct if the size of the penis is solely responsible for her fear. It's indirect if the sex or the penis' size is triggering a past subconscious trauma or fear. Overwhelming Fear leads to the triggering of the the fight or flight response which can lead to hormonal imbalance and affect menstrual flow. So, it's possible. |
PDP wants this country to burn! This is the grand plan. God help this country! |

pinkbee:Where do u live? And where do u meet ur every guy? Bleaching is an eyesore to me. The moment I notice it, u depreciate in value faster then the naira. It speaks of such deeper internal dysfunctions and conflicts and self image problems than my hands can write. Tufiakwa! |

In older days what Elnathan lacks was called wisdom. Today, it's called Emotional Intelligence, EQ. Chimamanda already said she could never win this case in the court of public opinion because most of the context is lost on the public. Some facts in this case: Mentor = Chimamanda Mentee = El Nathan Fact. Anybody who thinks otherwise needs an extended course on critical reasoning. She'd been a mentor to a talented El Nathan who had come under her tutelage and had gone out of her way to make sure the guy succeeds by giving him a rare opportunity with her publisher - an opportunity of a life time. And the mentee's ego could not stomach being called a boy by his mentor? And because of that he torpedos a massive opportunity and the entire relationship he'd cultivated for long? And u guys are hailing him? Common guys! El Nathan is a murutum imkpavum. Period. For wisdom is profitable to direct... |
okonkwo44:Is GEJ a Christian? Can u give me one Christian value he stands for? Just one. Waiting. Scammers everywhere u go. First was no shoes, now I'm a Christian. Corruption personified dey form Christian. By their fruits we shall know them... If God can't find a good Christian who is ready to be sent, he will use anybody, even a stone to effect his purpose. Check your bible, King Cyrus of Persia was a pagan King yet God used him to deliver Israel from captivity and also rebuild His temple. Sai Buhari! |
Condolences Yuzedo. You write soulfully, the way the soul would speak if it could. |
Was an undisputed champion in my compound! 3rd best in my class JSS 1. My class whoops all other classes' asses in competitions. In class we used smooth lockers or tables and at home, smooth floors. We'd get special corks for this. We'd go 2 cork producing plants dumps for these corks. They have flat bases, and are smoother and more stable than the ones that had bn used as bottle corks. In school: Sons, Obumneme, Felix-formidable opponents. At home: Chigozie, Kingsley, Sunday What a memory. The thing dey like World Cup mehn! Who says childhood wasn't fun? Kai minini! |

bendike:Rubbish! GEJ slept while Nigeria burned! Simples. He woke up too late. Arms procurement by sovereign nations is no big deal bro. There are just so many nations in the world willing to sell to anyone. If US blocks you, go to Russia, is that rocket science? Imagine Gaddafi or the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, saying "I don't have arms to fight terrorists or rebels because US is blocking arms sale to me." It doesn't compute, right? And it takes a President all of 5 years plus to get ready to fight internal terrorism? Gej and PDP were busy playing politics, playing the victim saying northern politicians had vowed to make his government ungovernable and that the terrorists were after his government because he is not from the north, instead of doing his job, seeing the BH menace as the full scale terrorist group that was coming for the soul of the country that it was. This President played the victim istead of confronting the monster. GEJ already confessed last week that he underrated BH. How does a govt underrate a lethal internal terror group? GEJ just has to go. |
