wirinet: So you agree with Trump that a former president can send seal 6 team to assassinate his political opponents and he should not be prosecuted and punished because a president enjoys absolute immunity. In that case, Joe Biden should just order the assassination of Donald Trump, Mike Johnson, and Mitch McConnell, while at it, he should bomb fox news headquarters to the ground making sure Sean Hanity, Tucker Carlson and judge jeanine is inside. Didnt Fox rid itself of Tucker the racist Carlson a while ago? |

Neither can they equal Nigeria in global intellectual input. Needless to say, they have always been our wives in terms of football. Eunoiaa: Two things stand out to me in the story;
- If it was a girl who got stuck in a boy's hostel, there's 99% chance that she isn't going to make it out in one piece. Not to mention how she might unsuccessfully get to disguise herself.
- So nobody is calling the man a slut who's lost value and is destroying his future, huh? A young man sent to school to learn, having a girlfriend up till the point of staying past the visiting time for boys. So shameful. The truth is that in the reverse case nothing will happen. Her man will escort her out and no one will create an issue of it. You see, she is not a fox in the chicken coop the way a man in a chics hostel is. |

nairalanda1: You should forget about the tribe. It has nothing to do with what is happening.
For over 5 decades, you have lived with the illusion that fuel is cheap. The illusion is breaking, and we are seeing what other African countries are seeing...that fuel is expensive. Very much so.
Tinubu is trying so hard to maintain the illusion. But as you can see cracks are appearing
It is time we all accepted fuel was never cheap in the first place. Maintaining the illusion has cost us billions of naira and four refineres. Subsidies cost you four refineries? You must be living in lala land. Corruption cost you those refineries, not subsidies. And understand this: if you like remove every subsidy or government expense in Nigeria - Corruption will still destroy everything. |

Do you know what conflict of interest is? Do you understand that that is exactly like appointing Emefiele's son as Special Investigator over Emefiele's time at the CBN - only to say, "but he is eminently qualified?" It is only in Nigeria that the children of top dogs in public office are expected to be stagnated in their career because their parents are heads of certain institutions. Backward mentality. Even if you can excuse all the appointments with this broad brush, the appointment of his son as auditor of the NJC - a body chaired and controlled by his father - breaches every principle of governance and conflict of interest known in the world. jesusjnr2020: Is It Bad To Locate A Church In A Prostitution Hotspot?
I used to attend a church located at an area replete with nite clubs and hotels, so prostitutes were often seen hanging out around that area especially at night.
Something I noticed at the time was that the sight of the prostitutes, seemed to irritate Christians who worked, lived or had their church venues around that area, as I have often heard several of them express their disapproval of having to cope with the sights of such scantily clad ones on a frequent basis as a result.
One even took it to the point of praying for the clubs to be burnt down so the area could have some sort of reprieve. Even heard the church's pastor speaking severally about not being comfortable holding church services around such an area.
So it is really that bad for a church to be located in such an area?
God bless. Did he not say he came for the sinners? |

That man has identified the failings of the security operatives and wants to help them at no cost as a way of giving back to the same country where he comes from.
You need to change your mentality. Are the security problems in the UK of a similar nature as those here all things taken into consideration - ethnic flavoring, geography, religious flavoring, guerilla warfare, etc. Besides as someone pointed out, that's an Air force Officer offering to train ground para military forces? Odd, no? |

But aside from crayfish and Ijebu Garri to Nigerians in the diaspora, what else can we manufacture and export in a generator economy, powered by subsidized imported fuel ? Unfortunately, independent thinkers are not to be found in the offices of policy architects. Government policy makers are robots who respond to whatever data IMF and the World Bank feeds them.
