Of course, I agree.
I just didn' like the fact that he, and most us, tend to ignore the tremendous burden that women face in this male dominated society. Rather, we tend to blame
them for every social problem in the society.
True, true.
Romance › Re: The Problem Of 'Babymamaism' I Saw Today by DeepSight(m): 10:28am On Mar 14, 2022
plaetton:
Yes, he certainly did.
He blamed the women for being baby mamas, and blamed that particular lady for bringing her child to work in a bad environment. He never for once mentioned anything about fatherhood, men , the sperm donors and the whereabouts of the man while the lady was bringing her child to work.
Women face a much greater burden in this dysfunctional system. They are the victims , not the causes of societal failures.
There is no point in exonerating either party from blame. It takes two to tango. If you think he has exonerated the menfolk, please dont exonerate the women folk. Both adults must be alive to consequences of actions.

Such lopsided nonsense.

Always blame the women for everything wrong in the society.
You forgot to advise the men to keep their Sausages in their pants, and use condoms when they cannot control their appetites, so as not to leave girls with babies without fathers.
If the men were more responsible, there would not be baby mama's struggling to eke out a living while taking care of children all by themselves.
The men , absent fathers are the ones who should be ashamed of themselves.
I am not sure from what I read there that the writer reserved blame for women.

Why not: the rich almost everywhere in the world live better than the poor almost everywhere in the world.

And among middle classes experiences vary so wildly that you can have a person in Kenya with a better standard of living than a person in the States.

Did you see where it says the executed included those with "deviant beliefs?"

Executing terrorist is not bad. This is a serious country that doesn't want to have anything to do with terrorism unlike nigeria terrorists have offices in gov houses.
Did you not see that some of those executed were accused of holding "deviant beliefs."

Do you know how broad that is in the KSA?

Technology was pioneered in Africa dear. Google "mali manuscripts" news of which broke out few days ago.....

The only areas I agree with you are: institutions and information management - we still have a lot of work to do in those area... in fact we are VERY BACKWARD in those areas.... the average Nigerian is docile and unserious and its affecting our institutions....I hope we get it right soon cos I hate abroad....
Personally, while I enjoy travel, I don't see myself permanently relocating. I am too deeply steeped in my African domicile and identify. I also cannot bear the thought of being any kind of second class citizen anywhere else.

PS: Tech being pioneered in one place doesn't render that place necessarily up to scratch on tech always.

Which advancement is my question....can you be more specific?? Lots of ppl say UK and Canada and USA is advanced yet wen we ask how exactly, they can't say.

Is it infrastructure?? Nigeria has contracted China Civil Engibeering and Construction Company to build infrastructure all over Nigeria so infrastructure is not a big deal.

So how else are they more developed??

Countries colonised by Britain such as Canada USA Australia and New Zealand are all depressing lonely countries that keep you in the middle class, always working for money and with no social life....

Someone has shown the fatalities from gun violence in 2 months in USA is more than herdsmen in Nigeria in 6 months....

So how's USA more advanced??

Never mind Quebec is currently trying to woo nurses and doctors from Tunisia and the magreb to come work there. Developed country Recruiting from developing country....how ironic....
Technology, Institutions and Information Management.

In what area is Europe more advanced? Google "mali manuscripts"... they left out physics and chemistry on in the reporting because they don't want to admit it. So we've proven scientific equality via the mali manuscripts...

So how exactly is Europe "more advanced"....

If its train we hv trains....
Unless you are joking, this is the type of deluded Afrocentrism that is comparable to those who say Christ was black.

Not that it matters what a random itinerant Jewish rabbi was.

While we know that much of Africa's history has been either erased or stolen by imperialism, this is no grounds to deny all advancement of other peoples.

If you are solid middle class then naturally most of your friends will fall into the same category. However this should not blindside you to the reality of the menial jobs which most immigrants are limited to.

Dont get me wrong, I am Afrocentric in my worldview - nonetheless there is little point denying that other peoples have advanced further in this or that specific field of human endeavor. That takes nothing away from Afro pride of identity in my view.

But other people's ancestors came to this world to suffer and die with blood and sweat so that you could simply wake up, abandon your own struggle, and go and benefit from what they have toiled, suffered, bled and died for right? Short-cut awoof mentality, Kwantinu.

First of, are you yourself in Nigeria presently?
There is nothing we are going through which Europe has not experienced ten times worse. If everyone had the run away mentality, there would be no great countries in the world.

It's not my fault u can't comprehend

This argument started with him saying intimidation and threat are not used to recover loans

I asked him to go look how repossession is done because stalking , Intimidation ,threat are all used ...the idea of repo is to shame the defaulter

If u can't link the two point it's not my business
You are simply advocating the criminal tactics of loan sharks while flinging around technical terms that have nothing whatsoever to do with such criminality.

Repos have nothing to do with legitimizing blackmail.

Which school did you go to again ?
Such repossession refers to action on a collaterized loan. The loans we speak of are not collaterized and this is exactly why the loan sharks resort to blackmail. If they were collaterized they would simply go after the collateral.

Why is humility so hard? I repeat: it doesn't kill to be humble. It doesn't kill to learn. It doesn't kill to admit you got something wrong.

My schools? I am proud of them. Corona. Kings College. Unilag and the Nigerian Law School.

Lawyer and you don't know what repo means ? Shame
A little learning can be a terrible thing. I warned you to be careful but you bound forth where angels fear to tread. You said "repossession" and in this clime it has a distinct legal connotation. Don't rush to mix and befuddle things with foreign terms that you are not familiar with.

Now at all events you then slant it towards what a "repo" is. Okay, here is what a Repo is -

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Repurchase_agreement

A repurchase agreement, also known as a repo, RP, or sale and repurchase agreement, is a form of short-term borrowing, mainly in government securities. The dealer sells the underlying security to investors and, by agreement between the two parties, buys them back shortly afterwards, usually the following day, at a slightly higher price.

Now can you tell me what a Repo as described here has to do with the scenario under discussion here concerning recovery of petty loans by methods of blackmail?

Let me suggest to you that it's not too late to climb down your high horse of pretentious knowledge on a subject you know nothing about. Be humble. It doesn't kill.

Start your own loan company if u think u can do better
Uncle, careful dabbling into what you don't know. I happen to be a lawyer and I am speaking with legal principles in mind.

You repossess tangible property - which you once possessed. A loan, you recover. But that's a small matter.

Tell me how it works. By blackmail? By libel and slander? By invasion of the privacy of unconcerned third parties?

By the way, I suppose you meant recovery there, and not repossession.

Careful.

In this new video clip, a brave Ukrainian soldier lets fly with an NLAWS shoulder-fired anti-tank missile launcher, obliterating a Russian tank, and causing absolute panic among the troops and vehicles remaining in the armored column.

As the Ukrainian drone observes the fun and games impassively overhead, Russian soldiers can be seen disgorging from their vehicles like ants, and sprinting for cover under fire like Olympic athletes, while Ukrainian snipers attempt to pick them off individually with small arms fire.

This is yet another instance of "Wota don pass garri" for the Rusian invaders.
I wanted to add "while the drone observed in a scholarly and detached manner!"
