@Blacksta: Because a woman is not interested, she is now labelled fake?? Na wa oh! So what happens to the women who grabbed marriage proposals when they were younger just for the sake of getting married and are currently in unhappy marriages and in some cases, divorced. Are their single mates not better off? |
^^Sometimes, you shd make an effort at making sense. Not all the time oh! Just sometimes ![]() |
Subscribing to the marry-sm1-who-loves-you-more-than-you-love-him theory indicates insecurity and selfishness, IMO. In as much as it sounds nice, nothing beats that feeling of loving someone. The poster does not even fall into this category because in her case, it's not just a case of unequal level of love, the love dey reduce!!! Poster pls do not marry the guy as you will end up frustrating him and regretting your decision years down the line. Like u said, he deserves better. And so do you ![]() |
Look closely. That picture is definitely not a real one. |
It is indeed a culture and it's sad. However, I do not think the "praisers" are fully aware of their actions. I.e they do not see it as STOLEN MONEY. These days when we hear so-so-and-so person has gotten an appointment into the Govt, we automatically say "Thank God oh" I am also guilty of this. . .Yeah, sad, I know! Living in Nigeria is just so hard that most people are constantly on auto-survival mode. We are people who, to a large extent, rely on "connections" to get things done. . .hence the need to "praise" those who aid those connections which aid our survival. The churches are not spared. Let's not even get started on that one! |
^^Lol, don't be so alarmed. It's just 5k naw, ahn ahn! Abeg don't fall ur hand on NL oh! Poster wants to chat naw, he shd be prepared to pay the price ![]() |
Having their phone numbers and email addresses is even going too far. Even in their various constituents, most of have them have no offices and even the for the few who do, they are barely functional. These people cannot be reached except you have some sort of connection. They don't even know the responsibilities attached to their offices. @Poster: Good move. God bless you. |
I think I'll go with her mum on this. Firstly, you say she currently lives in a 3-bedroom flat. Isn't that too much of an extravagance, considering she lives alone? Methinks she should rent something smaller, maybe a 2 or even 1 bedroom flat which will cost less money. It's commendable that she already has her own property at 30. She can actually decide to rent that out and start getting returns on her investment. (I'm assuming it will be of a higher value than whatever she herself decides to rent) If she's still single at 35, then she can decide to move in. lol |
Send me N5,000 mtn credit and I'll add you now now now |
This Becomrich sef, U must be smoking some special, exclusive type of weed not known to any other human. Do you even read what you type?? ROTFLMAO ![]() |
Tee Mama, Ur English scared him away. Poor guy. I'd be scared if I were him ![]() |
~Sauron~:I've always wondered too. Someone once said Okrika was the first place the White men brought 2nd hand clothes to for distribution hence the name. I dont know how true that is sha. Ibime:Hello Mr Uwakwe ![]() Didn't know Okrika also had the Igbo influence. . .thought it was just the Kalabaris, Okrikas and peharps Ogonis who were exempted. . . |
Oyb and Beaf, Must you guys turn every thread to a battle ground!!! ![]() Jeez! |
Poster, At 18, you havent even begun. And pls be careful with these guys on here. I smell a thousand dead rats. Be careful oh! You have loads and loads and loads of time for love to find you and vice versa. Please relax. |
Kobojunkie:The picture depicts bad. It also depicts good. Depends on what angle you choose to look at it from. Me, me , me?? Abeg explain ![]() Igbanibo:My point exactly |
What if it's a school excursion they are embarking on ?? (Albeit in their own native way) ![]() The picture tells a lot of stories. It depends on what glasses you have on ![]() Even if they are going to school nko?? Doesn't that indicate a fighting spirit?? Fighting against all odds to get an education!! And the annoying part is how some Nigerians revel in things that paint us black. Enough with all the negativity jor!! |
It is that same road where innocent people are being kidnapped daily. Instead of them to focus their energies on scouting for these kidnappers, they are busy killing innocent people. Very sad indeed |
It amazes me when people that know nothing just open their mouths and talk rubbish! Jonathan is an Ogbia man. Ogbia and Nembe are two different places. The only similarities btwn both places is the fact that they are both under the same senatorial district and share the same boundary. Nembe is a Local Govt Area in Bayelsa State. Ogbia is a Local Govt Area in Bayelsa State. Each is independent in that regard. The name "Ebele" was originally borne by Goodluck Jonathan's father. The name was just incorporated (I wonder why) into his names. I.e My father's name is Mr. John Mark. My name is Miss Mary Mark. Somewhere along the line, I decide to bear Miss Mary John Mark. Big deal! As for the name "Ebele" being Igbo, that I am not entirely sure of. In those days, Ijaw people had an interesting knack for giving their children names on very funny basis. E.g I have a cousin named Russia; I know a man from my mother's village named America. . . They were given those names because sm1 in the family at the time paid a visit to those countries. In this case of Goodluck's father bearing the name "Ebele", it's either he was given the name in honour of a man named "Ebele" or his mother or grandmother was Igbo. I am 100% Ijaw. However, my paternal great grand mother was Igbo. Let's assume her name was Nkechi. It would be very amusing to see the name "Nkechi" inserted amongst my names if I become President. |
Love does strange things to people ![]() The most unpardonable crime in my book is violence. Ther's no justification for an abusive man. None. Poster, Don't mind these people jor. By the time you land in the hospital with both legs hanging in the air and your face bandaged like Sunita, you'll know whether you should leave or not. ![]() |
Integrity is absolutely non-existent in the dictionary of Nigerian politicians!! After all the rubbish Orji Kalu spewed about PDP, he wants to decamp. Question: What do you call a person who sh!ts and want to eat his sh!!t with a glass of champagne?? Answer: A mad man!! |
@Poster: Yes o! All I could do was feel sorry for the girl who agreed to marry him. Kai! Poor girl ![]() |
I think the most focus should go to comprehensive TEACHER TRAINING, EDUCATION and WELFARE. One major problem with Education in Nigeria is its poor quality. Although the provision of infrastructure (eg school buildings) is important, the quality of education being gotten by students is primary. Nowadays, most people opt for the teaching profession on the basis of job unavailability. Teaching is now seen as the last option and the half-bread-is-better-than-none theory is applied. As a result, the educational sector ends up being flooded with people who see it as the only means of survival left and have no real desire and passion for it. If there is some sort of established programme geared towards the comprehensive training of teachers, we would have more quality teachers who are well-equipped with necessary skills and knowledge required to impart knowledge. Subsequently, these well-trained teachers would be able to produce students who have been armed with quality education and some of whom would be ploughed back into the system. It's a cycle. In the same breath, I also think serious attention should be payed to the WELFARE of teachers. Most Public school teachers get peanuts as salaries when compared with their mates in the Private institutions. If teachers are well paid, more people would be interested in the profession. Due to the harsh environment we find ourselves in, eerybody now wants to be well paid, live in nice houses and drive nice cars. Based on the current salary scale of public teachers, that would be next to impossible. Someone mentioned making teaching compulsory for all corpers. That should only happen when certain things have been put in place - eg accomodation, a clear-cut, defined career path etc. If you force a corper to teach and he or she does not see any possibilities of career growth in the future, what do you expect at the expiration of their service year? I also do not think Universities should be privatised. proudly9ja:Fantastic suggestions |
We know the price of garri has gone up. . . .but try and think of more intelligent ways to chop free money. E.g Joining PDP. Good luck ![]() |
Onchedu:That's what I'm trying to avoid. sevule:Looks like we have a winner ![]() |
9-11:I tire pass you ![]() tkb417:No. 1, 2 & 3 are insensitive responses. No. 4 is a lie. Now, you dont want me lying with God's name, do you? ![]() |

^^If I were her, I would disqualify you already. She clearly put her number there for you to call yet you want her to call you! *SMH* @Poster: What happens when the impressionable young man decides he wants to get married? |
eyoniggar:I'm not asking how best to lie to him. I'm asking how best to tell the truth. Shikena! 9-11:Bluntness is not a synonym for being rude. Spot the difference. I also asked myself why it's generally easier to tell "non-brothers" off than it is to tell "brothers". The difference is: with a stranger on the street, I can be blunt (not rude) because I'm free of any bias(es) and I most likely will not bump into him every sunday! But with the church brother, some level of extra tact has to be applied because we will most likely see each other every week or more! But then, that's entirely from my perspective. |
Sammie Okposo 31?? Im sure that's his football age The guy is way over 50years ![]() |
Get another woman. Even if it's a "pretend babe" By the time she visits you three times and sees you with another woman, she'll get the message |
