People seem to be so focused on tearing us apart. Yorubas are too interwoven to be drawn into needless fights over faith. Most families are mixed. We understand that God is the ultimate judge. We don't need to fight on his behalf. It shall be well with us against all odds. |

If he has been paying into that account and getting the hotel's receipt, then that lady's account is a collecting account for the hotel for obvious reasons. I read elsewhere that she asked him to pay into her account so they could buy fuel for the generator. Obviously, she and the manager may not be signatories to the hotel account. May God reveal all hidden secrets on this case. |

The woman is looking for trouble and she will find it if she keeps in touch with her ex. Emotions, memories could drive them to intimacy again. That's adultery. She should let her husband relate with his friend if he so desires. Hers should be at arms length. |

I have watched the video more than 4times already and am still watching it to see what exactly you people are seeing that I am not seeing. We are human beings and we tends to see things differently, that I believe makes us human but this said video I still don’t know what the dean did wrong. You said you are a 200l ODL student so definitely you know the rules of the faculty. The moment you have been offered admission my sister automatically you are under his care. Am I right? . Irrespective of whether you are in uniform or not you have to dress cooperate anytime you are being called on either to submit assignment to the tiniest thing that doesn’t even matter so far a lecturer of the department will be present . I agree this is the first time they are being orientate but in the said video he never even moved closed to her and she definitely had options to walk away . Thanks for this better insight on the matter. |

It's quite rare for leaders in these climes to allow an investigation that concerns them, to go smoothly, without trying to twist facts to protect themselves.
Gov. Sanwoolu deserves the commendation. Most governors won't allow a proper investigation under the circumstances. They'll rather tailor the report to say whatever suits them. The Judicial panel also deserves to be commended for their commitment and sincerity. |

Family › Re: Her Parents Sponsored Our Wedding, Should I Be Worried. by delpee(f): 6:07pm On Nov 14, 2021*. Modified: 6:28pm On Nov 14, 2021 |
Normal Yoruba style especially middle and upper class families. Traditionally, it's the responsibility of the brides family to feed guests on the wedding day. Yours is to bring the yams etc for the traditional wedding. The items are shared among the extended family members of your parents in law. It's not really meant to be cooked for the ceremony. In modern times, the groom's family usually comes with some food to ensure that their own guests don't lack in any way. Even extended family members and friends gladly contribute their quota towards the wedding. Half of the food cooked may be from donors who bring different things or have additional caterers.
All that is required of you is to take good care of their daughter. Enjoy the love around you. Be respectful and nice to them. Most families will not tolerate arrogance or misbehaviour from their daughter on account of feeling superior because they funded the wedding. Be confident in yourself. Work hard to earn their respect. Don't be dependent on them though they'll gladly assist if necessary. God will provide for you to be a wonderful husband and father.
Happy married life. |
